[The video starts out focused on someone new--a rather nervous-looking teenager who... honestly doesn't really seem like he really wants to be here.]

Ah... hello, everyone. [A deep breath, before he continues.] My name is Patrizio Fugo, and I just got here. I'll be enrolling in Kaisou High soon.

[There's another pause.]

And in the interest of laying all my cards on the table--I'm a member of the Black Order. I was sent to assist Mr. Albarea in investigating what's been going on here.

[At some point on the 20th, after the prophecy post goes out, the Zodiac apartments are shaken with a loud KA-BOOM! While the damage to other apartments is minimal at best, one apartment has definitely borne the brunt of it. Pieces of Varian and Fern's place can be found blown outwards and onto the street below. There are a lot of swords and dangerous chemicals strewn about so...maybe be careful if you're gonna go around touching any of them. There's a hissing sound from up high where there seems to be a fire extinguisher being used on putting out the fire up there and a distant "I GOT IT, I GOT IT!"

...They might not, in fact, have got this.]

[A few hours after the explosion, the video opens on a still slightly sooty-looking Varian and Fern. They're both looking pretty sheepish after that mess. Varian clears his throat.]

So uh...you might have noticed the explosion earlier in the Zodiac Apartments. Sorry, that was- I was examining one of those peaches we got from the spirit realm. Zodiac seemed so determined to get their hands on one I-I wanted to figure out what they were about. See if I could maybe reverse engineer one to counteract whatever it is Zodiac plans to do with them. But uh-

[He waves his hand, to show that it kind of...went wrong. Obviously. ]

But sometimes junk goes boom. It's the price of doing good science.

[Fern no, that isn't how science works at all, don't play favourites just because Varian was the one who caused it.]

It doesn't look like anyone got hurt. And the explosion was kinda sick! Who knew fruit could do that??

[Varian's kind of casually covering his face with his hands as Fern decidedly plays favourites on their apology tour. He lets out a soft whine, and then looks at the camera again.]

Anyway, Fern's right, I definitely didn't expect it to have...uh explosive properties. I think the damage was largely contained to our place, but if anyone else's apartments were damaged please let us know, we'll come and help fix it up or pay for the damages. Sorry.

[He clears his throat again. He's agreed to sort out the damages for his and Fern's place with Zodiac, but he is NOT gonna voice that right now. He has a chance to figure out what Zodiac are about, maybe even find a way to sabotage what they're doing. But he's no stranger to treason- if he announces to the whole network what he's planning, Zodiac will know in an instant. He hates hiding the truth, it's against what he believes in, but this time it's necessary. ]

So um- important thing to glean from this if you have one? Do not eat the peach. And definitely don't touch the peach juices or breathe in any of the peach dust because that's...bad.

[Aw, Fern is just going to give Varian a reassuring pat on the shoulder. As far as he's concerned it wasn't a huge deal - some stuff got smashed, sure, but his swords survived and the four of them (Fern, Varian, Ruddiger and his new fomantis) are all fine. He wasn't super attached to the apartment, either.

Sorting out the damages with Zodiac is a whole other kettle of fish that he doesn't want to think about right now.]

Yeahhh. Dunno if anyone actually ate the peach, but ever since it exploded in our faces we've both been feeling a lot - man, how do I describe it? - clingier? To areas in the city that have gates. Those're where the spirit veins run, right?

[He doesn't know, he isn't an expert here.]

But it's probably nothing!

Hey, everyone. Some of you know me, but I'll introduce myself since we got some new people. I'm Will Solace. I'm taking over making a seer announcement for August this time. Probably next time, too. No, August, I'm not taking no for an answer on that, either. You know exactly what cards I'll play if you protest.

Moving right along, about February... one of us saw blades of grass in a kinda childlike wonder. Another saw a fire, but it was more like a campfire or bonfire. Something warm and positive, you know?

[He thinks for a second.]

August's tarot card was the Lovers reversed. Basically, all the relationship problems you see in romance movies and novels. Lack of communication between partners, lots of arguing, things like that. Oh, terrible choices was one he wanted highlighted, but I think that's almost everyone's everyday.

Lastly, my dream showed me getting attacked in the dark. I couldn't really see if it was dark as in nighttime, or even what attacked me. I just know something will. That said, to clarify, it's not necessarily me, personally, that'll get attacked. It's just that my dreams are always in first person, so it feels like it's me when it might not be.

So, now you know what we know.

[The video turns on... then off, then on again. The phone is on the ground, suddenly, and Jane can be heard muttering to herself as she leans down to pick it up. She's never sounded quite as English as she does right now as she tries to keep her composure.

There's a thunk as something falls over in the background.]

[Ah, there she is. Jane looks tense - the kind of tense that is probably familiar to some people in Kaisou - and very much like she may not have slept very for a couple of days.]

I'm sure everyone is dreadfully tired of posts like this, but-- you know-- I've been doing my best. I was living a perfectly normal life, running my little shop, and then--!

[And then!]

And then my husband starts changing, and I love him, so I deal with it. Then gates to a hell dimension start appearing everywhere, and I deal with it! And then everything goes completely dark for a month, and I end up dead in some mythological underworld being attached by giant snakes and suddenly I can fly and I think-- I think to myself gosh, Janey, you're handling all of this terribly well aren't you.

[The screen wobbles as she smacks her free hand down on something.]

But now? [She stretches her arm away from herself and the source of her fretting becomes obvious. There is a pair of wings growing out of her back, peeking up over her shoulders - slim, fairly simple, and identifiable as hummingbird wings for any ornithologists out there.] Now this has happened. This-- And I'm..! I don't think I'm overreacting! [Her voice is pitching up to a level that would make dogs bark.]

I don't think I am! But I don't know how much more of this I'm supposed to take without losing it. So-- So tell me, how. How do you do it?

Santa Claus is RIPPED. And he hit me so hard I flew out of the portal...? I don't remember the impact, but he gave me a nice coat to land on.

Hello! Thank you for using the Libra App!

First of all, we'd like to say that we're thrilled to see that everyone has returned safely and soundly from the Spirit Realm! While we had predicted increased activity from the Spirit Vein due to the time of the year, that incident went beyond our expectations. We thank anyone who was willing to go into the Qliphoth realm and assist with saving the day, yet again. Anyone who requires medical attention or counseling sessions after the ordeal is welcome to contact Zodiac for any services.

While the demon problem at the Qliphoth has been taken care of, we ask that you continue to keep a watchful eye for the rest of the month! The veil between the Spirit Realm is still weak around this time of year, so we believe that it's still probable that spirit realm related incidents may occur (though hopefully not on the same scale as that)! One of our seers has cryptically advised it'd be a good idea to invest in sun lamps, but we think they are just thoughtfully pointing out that it the days get shorter this time of year and that may affect some of us! Best to be prepared!

Finally, we have heard reports that some of you have been getting a lot of attention regarding your unique appearances as of late. We understand and sympathize that this has caused some inconveniences for you. So, we are happy to offer you some complimentary Zodiac merch to help! We hope everyone enjoyed the library excursion! Did you find some new books or learn some new things? Coming across the Great Library really is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, so it'd be a shame to anyone who missed out!

Now, as we head into October, we at Zodiac want to advice a word of caution. During this time of year, as we get closer to Halloween and Samhain, activity around the Spirit Vein may increase. It's long believed this is due to a natural thinning of the barrier between our world and the Spirit Realm that happens this time of year. Not only can this cause an increase in supernatural incidents, but it can make ordinary people more capable of spotting the supernatural.

Normally we'd say this shouldn't be anything to worry about, but with the recent unusual activity coming from the Spirit Vein- there are concerns these effects will be magnified. We've already received some reports of tears appearing in the city by our agents. So keep an eye out as you go trick-or-treating or on a hayride! It may be the season of scares, but let's try to avoid any dangerous scares, shall we?
