[For anyone who knows Caesar, this is probably the least stressed out he's looked recently when he flips on the video.]

Hey, everyone. Congrats on, uh, all of that this month. Holy shit. [He lets out a bit of a bewildered laugh.] Still kind of feels a bit unreal. Anyway, instead of me aimlessly rambling on about that, let's just cut right to the chase with the prophecies for the coming month.

[He pulls out a notebook.]

August's card this month is the upright Six of Wands, which... represents success and winning, and in his words, "after the bullshit with the Order we need that". Which. Yeah.

[He flips a page in his notebook.]

Jinwoo saw a talking crab? And Cotton has managed to knit an entire wearable mermaid tail. Wolfwood saw a guy in a cornfield. [A beat.] He said something about fist-fighting anyone who started shit in his corn, so please don't do that. What Nito saw sounds like a beauty pageant? I couldn't tell exactly from how he described it. [And what context would he have for one, anyway?] Takame had... what sounded like a rap mostly comprised of Pokemon names? And then... oh, right, Jusis. [Give him a moment to consult his notes again.] Jusis saw... big menacing slime creatures.

And as for me... [He flips to an earlier page in his notebook, on which he's drawn... some kind of vacuum gun?] ... I ended up drawing this fucking thing. Your guess is probably as good as mine here.

Good evening, everyone, it's a new month and the new prophecies are here. I'm just going to get right to that.

Starting off, the tarot card for the month is the Hanged Man which sure sets a tone. According to August, that's-- [Reading off of notes:] "shit like sacrifices, uncertainty, fucking martyrdom, so you know, all the fun shit we love to see here in Kaisou."

Other than that we have a clock striking midnight, red paint splattered across a canvas, a cardboard house crumbling into nothing, and a gravestone with "Kaisou" written on it.

[Good grief. There's a pause after he relays all of that, where he stares down at his coffee cup, then drains it of its contents.] ... As for me, I ended up getting a song.

[He both hums and taps out a particular tune and grimaces.] Catchy at first, but much less charming after it's been stuck in your head for several days.

Another year, another wildly dangerous scenario in November come and gone.

[That is how the video opens, the feed focusing on Caesar cooking.]

I hope everyone's been resting and recovering about as well as they can after that. We all deserve a break after that, and thankfully, a break seems to be what's in the cards-- literally, judging by August's readings. He keeps getting the upright Four of Wands, which tends to mean home, community, celebration, stuff that's perfect for the holiday coming up.

Most of the rest of what's been coming up this month reflect that, too--a Santa hat, a snowglobe with a farmhouse at Christmas, a charcuterie board, that song we joke about Mariah Carey defrosting for every year... even the one that doesn't seem especially fitting on the surface--a movie set--kind of fits in. "Bring it on, Hallmark" in Arthur's words.

I suppose we'll see what we're actually in for when the time comes, but... at least it seems like we're in for a break, yeah?

[And right before he turns off the video, he can be heard humming a bit of "All I Want For Christmas is You", the fucking menace.]

[The video starts out in the Zeppeli kitchen, with the camera situated so that it's showing both Caesar and Takame. Caesar's sighing and pulling a mug of tea closer before he starts talking.]

Well, everyone, it's a new month and that means new prophecies for the coming month, and we're not feeling too great about this one.

[As if on cue, Takame came into the frame he was looking... Well, he always looked grave but there was a notable furrow in his brow. Something that spoke volumes against his otherwise neutral look.]

Indeed. All I have is a theory as to what we may face, but the next month shall surely test our resolve regardless of whether I am correct or not... Something dire lies upon the horizon. A... song of all things simply repeating "Oh no" loaned little doubt to that fact.

In addition, what I saw myself was something or someone forcing another into a deal in order for them to survive as well as a sensation of being trapped, though no further context was given on either.

[He looked to Caesar to continue or chime in with what he saw.]

And what I happened to see this month myself was the Spirit Vein spreading across the sky. August’s tarot reading had the Nine of Wands cropping up, which means… [Give him a moment, he needs to consult notes.] “A last stand’s coming up, or we’re just really fucking stubborn. We’re almost to the end of something, and we have to hang on until the end.” As if everything else wasn’t ominous enough… Eight snakes was something that got mentioned as something someone else saw, right?

[He glances back to Takame.]

[Takame just nodded his single WOL nod, then went quiet for a moment before speaking as if repeating something:]

Eight snakes. ... Yamata no Orochi.

[He let out a breath, a tinge of something crossing his expression. Anger? Resolve? It was hard to tell.]

A being that exists in my realm, though it would seem that it exists in myth here as well. A ravenous Eight-Headed Serpent-Dragon who was slain by the kami Susano'o. This is mere conjecture... but I would not rule out the possibility that we may encounter Orochi or something akin to one.

[Said shaking his head, making clear in his words that his expression was the latter. An iron-clad will.]

I know not what August's cards spoke of specifically, however. 'Tis true that we must brace ourselves for what is to come. No matter what.

[Caesar nods, expression almost a bit grave.]

That… pretty much covers everything, I think. Thanks for your time, everyone. I need a damn drink…

[August starts the video and he looks...very much not okay? He looks exhausted and stressed. A hand belonging to Caesar slides a mug of tea and a muffin into the screen. August sighs, takes a sip of the tea, and looks at the camera.

(He's going to be drinking that tea the entire time he's talking.)]

Okay. So. We're getting the visions and shit. Buckle up.

[He pulls out the list.]

Fog. Lots of fog. A log cabin? Sugar skulls and....Spirit Halloween, which those make sense, October's coming up so we'd get Halloween stuff and since la Día de los Muertos is first of November, some overlap makes sense. Uh, Caesar, what was your vision again? The song?

Yes, it was...

[Caesar, still mostly off screen because August is too exhausted to turn the camera, starts to sing. August waits for him to finish.]

The Spanish is all about remembering and so long as you remember the singer, they won't be away from you. All in all, pretty standard what you'd expect for, yanno, October, even if some of it doesn't make sense. And then there's this bitch.

[He holds up his tarot card: Tower, Upright]

I hate this fucking card. This fucking card, the fucking Tower, never means anything but chaos. Sometimes it's good! Given our luck, I don't think it is! It's change, unavoidable change, a massive fucking upheaval and I also keep getting this fucker.

[He brings up Death, also Upright. Caesar refills the tea, because August needs it.]

...and yeah, okay, it might be the literal death this time since it's October. And I only did a couple of readings where this one showed up. But I'm not taking a single goddamn chance, so I'm mentioning it here. Death upright usually means change and the end of a cycle, normally it's a good card to see, or at least neutral. But combined with the goddamn fucking Tower...

[August sighs and his familiars come over to start preening.]

Oh, and the Goodwill sent me a package with this. [He holds up a small vial of very pretty pink juice. It should be familiar to anyone who raided Zodiac's Palace in April.] Someone wanna tell me how the creepy Goodwill got immortal peach juice? Anyone in the Black Order wanna dispose of this shit for me? I need a nap.

So, people might be expecting something else when the video opens up to Caesar, who's sitting among a number of boxes and messing with a few papers before he clears his throat.]

Hello, everyone. For those who don't know me, I'm Caesar Zeppeli. Former florist, current staff at the Vogue Theatre, and now, apparently, also currently a seer. Because the universe has decided I don't have enough going on already. So here we are, I guess.

[Here we are, indeed. He shrugs.]

Anyway, with that bit of context established and out of the way, let's get to the actual point of the post. So here's what we're working with this month--August got the Empress, upright, which-- [Give him a second, he needs to consult his notes. There's a mutter in Italian that vaguely translates to "all this time and you'd think I'd know a bit more about tarot by now".] Okay, he said it's a weird one to get for June, but... Nurturing, supportive, sometimes creativity, sometimes being generous-- a very caring sort of card, basically. As for what else.... a rainbow, much less of a surprise, given next month; feeling really tall, and... this: "That which can give life or take it away, run cool, run clear, run deep, and wash away what has been befouled. Yes, willingly or not, the water will cleanse all."

... So that's what we have. I can't really make heads or tails of any of it, personally.
