[The video starts out in the Zeppeli kitchen, with the camera situated so that it's showing both Caesar and Takame. Caesar's sighing and pulling a mug of tea closer before he starts talking.]

Well, everyone, it's a new month and that means new prophecies for the coming month, and we're not feeling too great about this one.

[As if on cue, Takame came into the frame he was looking... Well, he always looked grave but there was a notable furrow in his brow. Something that spoke volumes against his otherwise neutral look.]

Indeed. All I have is a theory as to what we may face, but the next month shall surely test our resolve regardless of whether I am correct or not... Something dire lies upon the horizon. A... song of all things simply repeating "Oh no" loaned little doubt to that fact.

In addition, what I saw myself was something or someone forcing another into a deal in order for them to survive as well as a sensation of being trapped, though no further context was given on either.

[He looked to Caesar to continue or chime in with what he saw.]

And what I happened to see this month myself was the Spirit Vein spreading across the sky. August’s tarot reading had the Nine of Wands cropping up, which means… [Give him a moment, he needs to consult notes.] “A last stand’s coming up, or we’re just really fucking stubborn. We’re almost to the end of something, and we have to hang on until the end.” As if everything else wasn’t ominous enough… Eight snakes was something that got mentioned as something someone else saw, right?

[He glances back to Takame.]

[Takame just nodded his single WOL nod, then went quiet for a moment before speaking as if repeating something:]

Eight snakes. ... Yamata no Orochi.

[He let out a breath, a tinge of something crossing his expression. Anger? Resolve? It was hard to tell.]

A being that exists in my realm, though it would seem that it exists in myth here as well. A ravenous Eight-Headed Serpent-Dragon who was slain by the kami Susano'o. This is mere conjecture... but I would not rule out the possibility that we may encounter Orochi or something akin to one.

[Said shaking his head, making clear in his words that his expression was the latter. An iron-clad will.]

I know not what August's cards spoke of specifically, however. 'Tis true that we must brace ourselves for what is to come. No matter what.

[Caesar nods, expression almost a bit grave.]

That… pretty much covers everything, I think. Thanks for your time, everyone. I need a damn drink…

Mm. Even if they are not, they're far to similar for such a potential threat to be dismissed. I dislike relying upon conjecture if I can avoid it... and I cannot offer definitive proof that this is what we face.

However, I would not have mentioned it had I not been almost certain. After what has occurred this month, 'tis best to exercise heavy caution either way.

You could tell because where normally there'd be a quip about "What, you guys can see the future now too?", there was instead a genuine gravity in his tone.]

Yamata-no-Orochi? You're telling me that's what's gonna show up next month, how in the hell does that make sense and how are we gonna stop it?

[Little did he know this response was born from a deep-rooted fear only worsened by hearing the name Susano'o. He wouldn't let a baseless fear win out and instead looked for a proactive...ly reactive approach.]

Historically speaking, beating the shit out of things tends to work out in our favor. If nothing else, we're good at coming together when there's a crisis, which... Yeah, that about sums up what we're getting.

[He sighs and runs a hand through his hair.]

As for how it makes sense, I gave up on things making sense a few months after I came here.

I'm vaguely familiar with Yamata-no-Orochi. Combining that with the concept of being trapped and striking a deal...I can't say I know any correlation off the top of my head, but I can say I definitely don't like it.

Given the way last month went, I don't see this one proving any lighter. My bet's on 'having to fight a god', probably.

["Prophecies" is what catches her attention at first. Fucking messy, nasty propechies. Apollo isn't here, she's pretty certain of that. And yet, here are the prophecies. Perhaps they're real, perhaps they are just mortals trying to gain control of their unknown future. She doesn't know which, she hasn't been here long enough to determine how real any of this is yet. The magic in his world, however, cannot be denied. ]

My brother always says that making prophecies known locks you into them. You do this every month?

[Get the prophecies, talk about them here. The rest is. Hm. Concerning. She never knew about Idols beyond her own pantheon. Freddie has spoken about it, how it might be that there are more. Not just her messy family. This seems to be the case here.

Persephone has only been here for five minutes and she will kill any upstart God trying to muscle in on her new (albeit enforced) turf. She doesn't want to be here, but she's not about to be usurped again, either. ]

Then we must meet them head-on and remove them from this realm. There are many ways to kill beings like that. No one is as immortal and unbreakable as they might like to think.

Pretty much. The guy who does the tarot started doing something like this when he started getting the same card cropping up in his readings for people in the city. Give people a heads up of what's to come so everyone can brace themselves, you know? I hadn't thought about the potential "speaking things into existence" angle.

That's about what we're thinking, yeah. Beating the shit out of things has worked out for us in the past, and I wouldn't be surprised if that continued to be the case this time.

[Or that's what he was convinced by the Seer Group, but Takame was a bit of a fatalist either way. At least this way they could prepare for the worst case scenario he often assumed even without the gift of future sight.]

There are, but not everyone has the experience or power to counter that of a God's or God-like being's head on. We must allow others to make their decisions for how to proceed. [He spoke matter-of-factly, like someone who very much had that power and experience.]

We also have stories about Yamato-no-Orochi where I'm from. I never crossed paths with them though. Usually they demand human sacrifices and can be addled with insane amounts of potent alcohol. Honestly after the stuff I went through this month, I think kicking serpent ass would be extremely cathartic.

Mm. There is some, ah, catharsis to be found in a challenging bout to be certain. [Said as someone who yearns to be challenged in battle but also knows how bad that can get and fears himself for it.]

Perhaps we may triumph over the beast through our numbers alone. [Optimistically speaking, anyway. He's been in parties of 24 before and they still TPK to adds.]
