So this is a weird, new app! Since I can't delete this thing, I'm gonna guess that it's not some weird community thing for Kaisou, right? Like a FB group for people to get strongarmed into--I mean join?

Guess it wouldn't hurt too much to intro myself since I'm new here. I'm Venti! I just moved here like. Today. Lovely place, the Spirit Vein up above really sets the mood!

Well, google defines "soup" as "a liquid dish, typically made by boiling meat, fish, or vegetables, etc., in stock or water."

So even if you disregard the concept of savory ingredients being required, I think cereal still isn't soup because it isn't boiled.

I say pe-kan, but I've heard other people say pii-kan on tv? It's a loan word so I don't actually know if one is wrong or not.

Google isn't always right~ But some parts of the world classify oatmeal as a cereal, and you should definitely boil the ingredients together if you don't want a bowl full of actual human sadness!

Over in the USA, it's kind of regional. Maybe. Jury's out on that. Obviously, the correct way to say pecan is by embracing both! Pii-cahn or peh-can.

Ugh, so, Zhongli and I've been friends for a long time, but we fell out of touch for a few years. I tried finding him, but it's like looking for a raven among crows. I knew he'd be a little angry with me 'cause, you know, it was during a pretty troubling time in my life, so I get it. But I didn't have any other way to find him! He has absolutely NO presence online! And his name is extremely common!

It was all coincidence that I ended up moving here, honestly. I heard that the Underground here is very active, and I figured it'd be nice to be somewhere with my kind of people, you know? And so I don't have to explain the fact that my music has literal magic healing whenever I play or sing.

Strictly speaking, it's not. When you prepare a soup, the longer you let the broth and solid ingredients simmer together, the better the flavor will be. But when you mix cereal with milk, you must eat it quickly or the two components will ruin each other.

At a glance, they may seem similar, yes. But there are fundamental differences you cannot ignore if you wish to enjoy either dish to its fullest potential.

Ohhhh, someone with a very compelling answer! The point about the dish being enjoyed at its best is a sentiment I agree with wholeheartedly. Even defining oatmeal as cereal leads to the same conclusion. No matter how simple it is, the ingredients you use deserve to be respected, right?
