This is Anby Demara, a Guardian of the Black Order. I have downloaded the app required per the mission perimeters of the Kaisou Team, and will use it to record my personal log in hopes of remaining transparent under the new leadership.

[-- yeah she's clearly misunderstood the purpose of the Libra app, but the voice recording keeps going]

The date is June 8th, 2025. It has been one week since I have arrived in Kaisou, [a passing truck honks, making the state name inaudible]. Since then, I have prioritized finalizing my living arrangements and familiarizing myself with the city.

As of recording, I have located 1 movie theater and 3 burger joints in my immediate. The movie theater offers a decent matinee price, though the film I watched was rather disappointing. It was a live action remake of the animated classic Lilo & Stitch. The film was more sanitized than the original one, and it ended with Nami giving Lilo up to the state. I am unsure how to feel about that change to the story, but I don't think I liked it.

I should try to look into other ways to find movies, as even with the matinee deal, seeing movies frequently there will add up in cost.

Tonight I plan to try a In-n-Out burger for the first time. I have heard about these burgers in online communities for years, but they never had a store location in Florida. It was a surprise to find one here, and I'm excited for tonight's meal. [She says still very much in a monotone. So excited :| ]

1: Out of place and time

[To an outside viewer who happened to be in the vicinity of Lake Hylia and happened to glance upward at the right time, they'd catch the glint of sunlight off something metal as falls from somewhere high above, making a huge splash as it hits the water somewhere not terribly far from shore.

To the armor-clad Digimon who was brought back to consciousness by hitting the water, this is might tie for the weirdest circumstances he's ever woken up in. For starters, he certainly hadn't been anywhere near a lake last he remembered. That initial feeling of dull confusion turns to alarm as he attempts to simply fly himself to the surface and back into the air and finds the ability simply... gone. He only finds himself more alarmed in the process of swimming himself to shore, feeling weaker than he ever had before and recognizing absolutely none of his surroundings from the Digital World or his brief forays into the Human World.

By the time he drags himself onto the beach, Blackwargreymon feels (and honestly looks) half ready to bite the first person he comes across from all the worrying he's done. He's sure he won't since he needs information and the thought that it would disappoint Agumon is viscerally upsetting on multiple levels at the moment, but... He's very wet and having an emotional rollercoaster of a day.]

[Later, once Blackwargreymon's out into the human world that not only is an entirely different one than the one he knows but also has the audacity to be in the entirely opposite season than the one he'd left, the day only gets weirder when he's handed a little glass and metal rectangle that he's assured is a "smart phone" and sent on his way.

The better part of an hour of muddling through the instructions later and the network is treated to the sight of a dragon-like being in full armor squinting at the camera with the suspicion of someone who hasn't looked at a piece of technology since just after the Y2K scare.]

...I'm going to assume this thing is working. Hi. I'm new to this world, and the person in a suit with dead eyes told me this is where I should ask questions. So, first question: Has anyone here heard of Digimon before?

[A pause.]

...Second, unrelated question: Why are these devices called "smart phones" when they look nothing like phones?
