June Event Log

June Event
Dominant Element: Light
Waning Element: Shadow
※
Summer is here! Throughout the month, the weather will be warm and sunny. Very sunny in fact, the UV rays are a little strong this month, so you better make sure you have sunscreen or coverage or you'll find yourself getting sunburned pretty quickly! Still, not a bad price to pay for a little warm weather. At night, the darkness has turned to normal levels and the starlight even seems a bit more visible than normal. Take a special someone with you to go stargazing, if you're so inclined.

With school out for the season, the school campuses are mostly shut down aside from any summer school or club programs. The rest of the city is full of life, however. Outdoor markets are in full swing, and it's easy to find an event in the park whether it be live plays or small concerts. There's also the anime convention that's taking place at the civic center during the weekend of June 18th! Grab your cosplay gear and your merch and set off for a wild weekend!
Around town, there's many new places to see. Buy some Japanese-style convenience store food at Ai-Mart, eat a burger at Big Bang Burgers (or take the burger challenge, if your stomach can handle it), or buy some knives at the new cutlery store! If you're hurt, you can swing by Bubu Pharmacy for some medicine. If you're more into performances, why not check out the Seisho Music Theatre Academy? Just whatever you do...stay out of the Dog Park.
If you take a trip out to Stardew Valley, the season has changed dramatically to summer there. Summer crops are all that are being grown. Even the vegetation is radically different. You don't remember there being any palm trees in the Valley before, but they're sure there now! The beach is now open as well, for anyone hoping to get some fishing in or gathering seashells! Perhaps taking a relaxing vacation to the valley is the perfect way to kick off your summer. And is you want to revisit some old spirit realm grounds, the gate to Kanto has returned to Blue Fish Lake Park. Go on some wild adventure and get attacked by zubats meet some Pokémon! Just watch out for the horrible goose that roams the same park.

The bright sunny days of June make the dark harrowing nights of May seem like a distant memory. It's pretty tempting to go out in the sun and just lay out. Be careful however, because throughout the month while you're outside- the Spirit Vein in the sky will flicker before dropping random items at you. Try not to get hit! Any fragile items will be magically spared - either by bouncing, having a little parachute, or having something (or someone) conveniently break its fall. Some people may also find themselves awake with new powers or changes to their appearance. Seems the Spirit Vein is once again acting up and spewing out some stuff from other realms. Oh well! Finders keepers!

At some point during the night of June 10th, either during an actual dream or as a sort of vision, you'll find yourself encircled by a set of five gems, all in different colors. They spin around you once or twice, long enough for you to get a good grasp on what they look like, before turning into small balls of colored light and flying into your chest, becoming one with you as they vanish. You don't entirely understand why, but you get the sense that they were always a part of you.
...Or, well, that's what's supposed to happen. For some of you, you may find that before the gems can become a part of you once more, a shadowy something will reach out and snatch one away, vanishing into the shadows before you can reclaim it. From that point onward, depending on the gem that was taken, you'll find that a part of yourself feels like it's missing, and you may find yourself changing as a result.
If the red gem was taken, you'll find yourself suddenly feeling unnerved by things that you never felt frightened of before, and you may find that your physical abilities and powers no longer function as they once did.
If the white gem was taken, you'll find yourself suddenly, and rapidly, growing older.
If the green gem was taken, you'll find that you no longer possess the impulse control you may have once had, and you'll find yourself leaping into situations without thinking them through.
If the blue gem was taken, you'll find that you just... well, you're just a bit less smart than you once were. Reading, writing, and arithmetic, things that might have once been easy to you, are suddenly much harder for you to grasp than they should be.
And lastly, if the yellow gem was taken, you'll feel yourself sinking into a deep depression. You may no longer be able to muster up the energy to do anything at all, because what's the point, or you may simply just be stuck viewing the entire world as a glass mostly empty.
Sometime mid-morning the following day, Zodiac will send out an alert:
ALERT: SHIFTING GATE LOCATED IN CENTRAL SQUARE.
Element Classification: Light
Danger Level: Varied
Designation: Night Dimension
A new gate has been detected in Central Square. Initial readings are inconsistent regarding the presence of hostiles, so precaution is recommended. Further investigation is required.
Investigative reports, as well as retrieval of lifeforms from inside the realm, will be compensated.
Additionally, Zodiac has received some reports of this realm being accessed via the subconscious. Actual evidence of this as a possibility is sparse and inconclusive, however, so Zodiac has elected not to investigate further.
Stopping by Zodiac Headquarters, the place has calmed down a lot from the previous month. If anything, the receptionist looks exhausted from all the paperwork and all-nighters they had to pull. They keep conversations brief and allow you to borrow equipment, right before drifting off again. Professor Willow meanwhile seems to have more energy. It's been awhile since this particular gate has been spotted! He's heard it has the power to manifest your dreams, and it'd be really fascinating to see what kind of creatures would live here. He'll ask anyone to record their findings and bring it back to them.
True to form, there is indeed a gate in Central Square. From afar, it just looks like the entrance to a normal office building, but once you walk past the windows, you'll notice the reflection of something flying past you— it's hard to make out exactly what it is, but it's definitely purple and it's definitely not something that seems to actually exist among the crowd. The gate itself is a simple wooden door, and functions exactly as you'd expect.

Upon entering the gate, you'll find yourself in what appears to be some sort of courtyard at nighttime. There's a lovely fountain at the center, surrounded by a ring of wooden doors not unlike the one you entered to get here in the first place.
...Or did you? As Zodiac mentioned, it's entirely possible that you might fall asleep and find yourself here, or on the other side of any of those wooden doors. Isn't that just lovely?
Regardless, the first time you arrive here, you'll find that it seems to be snowing. It's brief, only lasting long enough for some of the snowflakes to land on you and melt, but as soon as it's over you'll find that you feel somehow lighter... and if you look down, you'll find two things that might strike you as alarming.
For one thing, you will find that you are not wearing the clothes you came in with— instead, you're wearing some kind of fanciful jester or silly outfit (maybe a crappy halloween costume, or even a fursuit). The outfits vary based on people's personalities and aesthetics, but they all have a jester aesthetic or otherwise silly outfit. Thought you were too cool for cosplay huh?
For another, you're now levitating.
This is approximately the moment that you'll be greeted by a talking owl, who will forcefully helpfully inform you that you are now in the Night Dimension, and that some being named "NiGHTS" must have granted you the ability to fly while you're here. He'll give you some pointers on how to control your new ability, but you'll find it's easiest to control if you spread your arms out to either side and just allow yourself to glide along. Just don't think too hard about the trail of sparkles behind you while you're flying.
The owl will also inform you that the doors around the fountain lead to various places in "Nightopia," the world of dreams, and encourages you to head on through whenever you're ready.
What you see when you head through the doors entirely depends on what it is you'd like to dream about. You may find yourself in a gorgeous green landscape, with rolling hills and streams and blue skies. Or perhaps you may find yourself in an amusement park, or even on the streets of a city you've always wanted to visit. No matter where you find yourself, it's always bright and sunny (or a clear night sky, depending on the dream), and the weather is always perfect.
Naturally, you're not entirely alone here. While Nightopia isn't exactly bustling, eventually a couple of small beings, reminiscent of cherubs will poke their heads out and start to approach you curiously. These, as Owl fills in whether or not you want him to, are Nightopians, the denizens of this realm. They don't seem to speak any language, but interacting with them will reveal that they're sweet and rather childlike. They enjoy playing, nice food, and anything that inspires laughter, and they'll cry and flee whenever they're scared or hurt.
They only seem to react badly to some of the other creatures that you might find poking around Nightopia— things like weird sheep, or other strange creatures that look like they could only exist in a dream. They don't seem entirely out of place here, but they definitely aren't as friendly as the Nightopians and you'd do best to fly after them and take them out. They seem to be weak to being rammed into, or even just forming a loop around them with the sparkle trail from your flying. Weird weakness, but okay.

Speaking of being scared, no matter where you find yourself in Nightopia, you'll inevitably find that if you go far enough, you'll find what seems to be the edge of the world— a sharp drop into inky nothingness. If you try to approach, the Nightopians will latch onto your arms and legs, trying to pull you away from it and making increasingly upset noises. Even Owl won't get too close, but he does tell you that the darkness leads to the realm of Nightmare.
The name itself more or less gives away what it is, but Owl does provide one last tidbit: Those gems you saw before the gate opened were called “Ideya,” and it's only here that they can take physical form. The Nightmaren, denizens of Nightmare, have been stealing Ideya from visitors— and if you've already lost one, Owl deduces that must be what's happened to you. He doesn't know why they're doing it, but he does note with some sadness that visitors who lose all of their Ideya aren't able to wake up again.
Of course, you're welcome to ignore all of their warnings and head right in, but Owl and the Nightopians won't be coming with you.
What you'll find in Nightmare depends entirely on you, but the basics are always the same: Darkness, coupled with twisted, impossible geometry. The rest of the realm begins to build itself based on your worst fears. A person with a fear of snakes might find themselves in a den of vipers, while others might find themselves caught in a traumatic memory.
The Nightmaren here are nowhere near as cute and cuddly as the ones that must have slipped out into Nightopia. These take the form of strange monsters that are, unsurprisingly, torn straight from your nightmares— giant twisted spiders, mutant clowns, et cetera.
If the nightmares become too much for you, don't worry! Before you can get killed, you'll hear the sound of a flute before you pass out. When you wake up, you'll be back in the entrace way of the dream world. Seems someone was watching out for you.
Taking out some of the stronger Nightmaren may or may not release some of the captured Ideya, but will definitely net you some information: the Nightmaren work for a “master” deep at the center of the Realm, and he needs to collect Ideya from visitors like yourself in order to gain the power to make it out of the gate and begin conquering the waking world.

While many of the Ideya have been taken to Nightmare, a few fell out of the Nightmarean's hands and got scattered across Nightopia instead. For these lucky folks (IE, the ones who aren't quite ready to face their nightmares), they'll find their Ideya to be free for reclaiming … if you can catch them, anyway! They seem to be teasing you, flying away from you and leading you through an obstacle course of Nightopia's natural scenery, as well as rings that will appear in the sky for you to make your way through. Complete the obstacle course and catch the Ideya, and it's yours!
For those less fortunate, you'll have to travel into your Nightmares to reclaim what was lost. For some, this might mean facing off against your own nightmares. Some who do that will find their Ideya as a reward for their bravery. But for many, even that won't be enough to garner their Ideya, and they'll have to travel deep into the realm itself to face off against the Master of the Nightmare Realm.
The closer you get to the center of the realm, the stronger the nightmares become, and the more personal you'll find the nightmares becoming. What were once generic scares are starting to take more and more realistic forms— twisted versions of people important to you, whether that importance is positive or negative. All that matters is that they're targeting you, specifically, and they want to break you before you can reach their master.
If you can make it to the center of the realm, though, you'll find that it's quite a bit different from everything else so far. In fact, it just seems to be Kaisou's Central Square at nighttime. There's one problem with it, though— you distinctly remember there not being a skyscraper-sized metallic man with six hands in Kaisou.
This, as he'll introduce himself, is Wizeman the Wicked— Lord of Nightmare, and the cause of all your strife this month. If you can defeat him, you should be able to free all of the captured Ideya… but can you defeat a being that can wield your deepest, darkest fears against you? It'd be best to work together and possibly target some of those hand eyes.
Eventually, though, Wizeman the Wicked must fall. He threatens that he'll never truly be gone, not so long as darkness lives on in the hearts of men, but whatever. He's dealt with for now, and that has to count for something.
Any characters that help to take down Wizeman will have their Ideya restored upon his defeat. The rest of the gems will go flying away, presumably back to their owners who couldn't make it this far into the journey. Characters who lost a piece of themselves will find themselves whole once more after this point, whether or not they went into the Spirit Realm.
Nightopia will remain open and accessible for the remainder of the month, and all of the Nightopians will be celebrating your victory. You're welcome to join in on the party! Zodiac and Professor Willow will be happy to compensate any information you bring back. However, any items you try to bring back won't survive outside the realm and fade away - like it was a dream.
However, you'll find that if you try to approach the entrance to Nightmare again, you'll find that it begins snowing as you get closer and closer, until you find yourself in a blizzard so thick there's no way to proceed. Seems like that snow that granted you your flying— “NiGHTS,” was it?— doesn't want you to go back. Ah, well… maybe that's for the best, anyway.
The dominant element this month is Light! Anyone with an affinity to the light element will find themselves boosted throughout the month. This could mean a boost to their power, having more energy, feeling more inspired with creativity, having better luck on different attempts -- the boost can manifest in all sorts of different ways. By contrast, anyone with an affinity for Shadow will be experiencing the opposite. Perhaps their powers will be weaker, they have less energy, they're having a creative block or general worse luck - again it can manifest in all sorts of way and players are free to play with this mechanic as they'd like.
This event is meant to be a chill "pick your own flavor of trauma". If you want your character to face their deepest nightmares, great! Otherwise they are welcome to just play in the happy dream land of things. Do as you like!
The original OOC plotting post for this event can be found here. Free gacha is obtainable for any character, including new ones, through June 30th!
QUESTIONS
Re: QUESTIONS

Mirabel Madrigal | Encanto | ota
[Anyone who knows Mirabel has noticed that lately, she's been unusually timid. She startles easily, heck she's even started by her own shadow. The light from her door fades unexpectedly, and if you ask her to do any kind of butter-related magic, she quickly finds out that she can't.
She's not sure why, but none of her powers work - the curse, the butter Gift, nothing.
She is however, extremely clingy. Hiding behind people she knows, heck, even people she doesn't know that well, afraid of some kind of danger.]
A-are you sure you should be doing that? Is that... safe?
[You could be doing something completely innocent, but whatever's happening, Mirabel has the nerves of a stress-out deer.]
[The First Nightmare]
[Mirabel enters the Spirit Realm in a cheesy-looking werewolf costume. While she doesn't care much about that, she does care about the first nightmare she comes across trying to get her gem back.
A very large, very angry dragon.
It roars, she screams. And she bolts. But since this is her nightmare, escape isn't that easy. For one, the dragon isn't letting her get away that easily, blocking the path to escape with its large tail. She runs, ducking behind a large, broken piece of stone wall as she tries to hide from the prowling dragon.]
Please go away, please go away, please go away...
[She may need some help escaping.]
[Nightmare Part 2]
[The next nightmare isn't dangerous, but it is painful. Mirabel's standing in front of Abuela, as she yells at her.
"You have to stop, Mirabel! The cracks started with you. Bruno left because of you. Luisa's losing her powers, Isabela's out of control because of you! I don't know why you weren't given a gift, but it is not an excuse for you to hurt this family!"
This is the part where Mirabel would say something back, but she's lost her courage. The words get stuck in her throat, and Casita - shatters. Cracks run through the walls of the house, the whole house starts to break and shatter around her...
Her legs are frozen. All she can do is watch helplessly as Casita crashes down around her once again.]
[The First Nightmare]
But she also happened to have gained a Gatcha in this mess, one that could explain what was going on in any given room. Once she steps into Mirabel's nightmare, it's clear she hardly need the thermometer. There was a dragon. A dragon!
And it was attacking Mirabel who was in an adorable but worn werewolf costume for some reason]!
Back, foul beast!
[Luz cast an ice glyph and aimed straight for the dragon's eye, which did pierce it, making it madder. If Luz had her actual full glyphs, this would not be so bad, but Luz is really making this up as she goes along].
I distracted it! Ooh, wow! It looks really mad!

Nightmare Part 2
But then she comes upon Mirabel and Abuela. The scene is painfully familiar, and she realizes that she's standing in the exact same spot as she had been before, as the elderly woman accused her sister of things that were completely and entirely untrue.
And yet, she hadn't been able to say anything then. And even now, she somehow can't get the words to form. Abuela is wrong, absolutely wrong, but she can't muster up the strength to stand up for her sister.
And Mirabel...doesn't fight back either. That isn't right. Mirabel had been the only one who dared say what she was really feeling - what they were all feeling - but now she wasn't saying anything. This isn't right.
But even though Mirabel's words never come, the house begins to break and shatter anyway. Luisa jumps a little when the house rumbles and starts to fall apart, but it's Mirabel not moving that finally jolts her into action. ]
Mirabel!
[ She springs forward, grabbing her sister pulling her away as a piece of the house falls, and it misses them by just a hair. ]

Zelos Wilder | Tales of Symphonia
[His roommates might as noticed Zelos getting sick. It was the same as before. He got weak and feverish, barely unable to move for several hours. Finally, it passed. Though, Zelos knows full well what's been taken from him now.Damn. It had taken longer time time, so part of him hoped it wouldn't come.
But at least this time, he makes good about his promise tell people. So he'll send out a group text message]
The toxicosis progressed. Can't feel anything anymore.
Sorry.
[For causing problems. Look, he's a Chosen it's hard not to want to apologize all the time]
II. Realm of Dreams - OTA
[Zelos didn't exactly need any magic to help him fly, but hey if it means he doesn't have to take out his wings he'll take it. The jester outfit on the other hand...
Zelos is assessing the outfit as he looks over himself. He pulls out his phone and tries to use the camera as a mirror. ]
Hmm....I guess I'm sexy for a jester? [He looks over at the person near him, the bells on his hat jingling from the movement] What do you think? Sexy jester?
[Zelos don't ask people that. ]
III. EDGE OF NIGHTMARE REALM - OTA
[So on one hand, people needed to get their ideya back. Zelos needed to get his back...even if he's not sure WHAT it took from him. And clearly his and some of his friends were no where to be found in the dream realm. So that meant-
Well damn. That could be bad.
Zelos hover on the cliff edge looking over the nightmare realm. His expression is an uncertain one as he thinks about the prospect of going down there. If that place is where your nightmares show up? Y-Yeah...]
Hah...you know, maybe you guys want me to sit this one out?
[Because seriously, nothing about him going down there could lead to good things for anyone.]
IV. WILDCARD - OTA
[Got another prompt? Hit me up! As of this post, Zelos has lost his sense of touch thanks to Angel Toxicosis. He also lost his white ideya which means he should be aging, but angels are immortal so it's unnoticeable. ]

Demyx | Kingdom Hearts | ota
[Demyx absolutely didn't understand what he was reading. Honestly he just kind of scanned the message, a lot of it going right over his head. And then he turned up assuming that all of it amounted to a free vacation. Who doesn't love a free vacation?
You may find him wandering around in a silly little outfit more than a little confused. Toto, I don't think we're in Kaisou anymore?]
I get the weird feeling this isn't a free vacation...

Pepa Madrigal | Encanto
[Pepa can be found hanging around Kaisou all month. She's not feeling so good right now. Her daughter is no longer in Kaisou. And Pepa doesn't know how to cope with that. She's putting in more hours at the restaurant right now. And in her free time she's walking around Kaisou, still getting a feel for how big and different it is.
She's also more jumpy than usual since her courage has been nabbed. So there's that.]

Restaurant
"Hi! I haven't had food almost all day! May I have a Bandeja Paisa?"
Tsunayoshi Sawada | Katekyou Hitman Reborn | Normal AU
[It's your average day in Kaisou and Tsuna is walking home from Summer School. Its hot, he's tired, and he's looking forward to doing nothing but going home and collapsing in front of his fan for a bit, letting the information crammed into his brain slowly leak out. But maybe he'll stop for ice cream on the way home. That sounds like a nice thing to do.
He doesn't see it coming.
Falling from the sky, a smallish box. One that might contain a nice watch. A watch that Tsuna will eventually receive but for now it's method of delivery is similar to a meteor hurtling towards Earth and it collides with the back of Tsuna's head at great speed and Tsuna is tossed forward.
It's a weirdly familiar feeling for Tsuna.
For the moment, he lies on the pavement, not moving. One might be concerned. Is he...no...he couldn't be? Could he?
And the a weird light seems to cover Tsuna, and a brilliant, orange flame alights from the centre of his forehead. And with a surprisingly amount of energy, Tsuna blinks, jumps up, and his clothes explode from his body, revealing a pair of green boxers with little black X's on them.]
RE-BORN! I WILL EAT ALL THE ICE CREAM WITH MY DYING WILL!!!!!
[And without further questions, Tsuna tears off down the street, any effects forgotten and making a beeline for the ice cream shop. He weaves around pedestrians without issue and leaps and vaults over cars as he charges into the street before bursting into the door of the parlour and going straight for the buckets of ice cream]
ICE CREAM!
[Good luck trying to stop him]
[ Leaping Before You Look ]
i
[It's weird that Tsuna's standing in front of the Gate. Normally he doesn't want anything to do with anything Spirit World related. Or anything that he determines as weird. But he'd come here on an impulse and there's nothing really stopping him right now so he pushes on.
Lately his attitude had just been "Why not?" for a lot of things. It's a weird headspace to be in for someone normally so cautious.]
So, does this always happen? The Costume change I mean?
ii
[No impulse control means Tsuna's going where he wants and without really thinking about it, he wanders into a Nightmare.
And maybe, he thinks, that might have been a bad idea.
Because he finds himself in a space that is just him. There's no one else around and it's just him and he feels very, very alone. It's dark, and there's no one around and he can hear voices. Voices that he can't quite make out. Laughter, cold hard laughter, and flashes of light, bright oranges and deep reds and people calling for him but for what reason and it continues to rise into a cacophony.]
HELP!

Moana | OTA
[ Those that have met Moana know that she's mostly a pretty active, cheerful person. But for anyone who sees her around town these days, they might notice she seems a bit...tense. She's also wearing long sleeves and pants, which is a bit unusual as the weather gets warmer.
She tries to appear casual, but it does seem like she's anxious about something. And the more nervous she gets, the darker the skies seem to get around her.
...no wait. It's just the raincloud forming right over her head. Because that's normal. ]
Around Kaisou - after the 10th
[ Moana seems almost like a completely different person from how she was earlier in the month. While she had rather jumpy while still trying to act like her usual self, now she's just completely...indifferent. Anyone who catches sight of her now would notice a downcast expression on her face.
And that's if they manage to find her. Because leaving the house just takes too much effort, so there are some days where she just...doesn't. She can't even muster up the energy to leave her room, and so she doesn't bother doing that either. It just doesn't feel worth it.
Whether someone tries to call her up to check on her, or if they run into her whenever she actually manages to drag herself outside, if they ask her if anything is wrong, she'll just give them a blank stare or reply with a distant tone. ]
Huh? I dunno...I don't think so?
Realm of Dreams
[ Honestly, Moana hadn't planned on going into the Spirit Realm. She had seen the alert from Zodiac, but she didn't think she could do much to really help anyway, so she didn't even think she should bother.
But then she'd heard that people she knows had gone into the realm...friends she knows. And it stirs something inside her - somehow pushing passed the emptiness that settled over her, and a voice telling her that this - of her acting and feeling this way - isn't right.
It's difficult, but somehow she pulls herself together long enough to get to the gate and enter this Realm of Dreams.
Admittedly, she doesn't pay too much attention to the talking owl, and doesn't care much about the weird jester costume or whatever else is going on. Instead she heads for the closest door and heads inside, suddenly finding herself at a beach.
But she frowns a little as she stands on the sandy shore, looking out at the water and back towards what looks like a town - a village - further inland. There are trees and greenery surrounding the simple-looking houses, and looming in the back is a large mountain.
And even though she knows this is likely a dream, she can't help taking in a breath. ] Why does this feel so...familiar?

Luisa Madrigal | Encanto | OTA
[ By now, Luisa knows what to expect when she wakes up extremely hungry one morning. It doesn't mean she likes it, because it means that for an entire week she pretty much can't do anything. Even while being awake for the first half of the week, she has to constantly keep eating just to even remotely function, before falling asleep for three whole days and missing everything.
But at least after experiencing this sort of thing a couple times, she knows how to mitigate some of it. It's still very much not great, but as long if she makes sure she has some food on her the days are at least passible. The hunger never really goes away, but at least she won't have to worry about passing out as long as she has some snacks on her person.
Until the three days when she actually passes out.
But she has four days before that, so she tries to make the most of them. She can't quite manage working at the restaurant at this time, so she has a bit more free time to do other things around the city, and people might catch her making her way down the street, most likely snacking a bit on something.
...and she's also being followed around by a bunch of animals. It's mostly cats - a lot of cats just following her down the sidewalk, or along fences or awnings of buildings - but there are also some dogs and birds, and all sorts of other animals that follow her as much as safely can.
It is...quite a sight. ]
Realm of Dreams - June 10th onward
[ While she had missed the announcement from Zodiac announcing the gate opening, her three days of sleep had actually been convenient this time around.
It was a strange dream, seeing the colored orbs that surrounded her before they entered her body, but when they did she felt...right. Complete, somehow, in ways that she can't entirely explain. And then she finds herself in a courtyard with wooden doors around the edges of the stone path. They almost reminded her of the doors in Casita - even though they aren't glowing, she can't help feeling like there's some kind of warmth coming from them.
She isn't entirely sure what she's doing here or how she even got here in the first place, but the explanation from Owl helps a little. Or at least as much as she can understand of it. The mention of levitating though has her hesitating for a moment, before shrugging just a bit. ]
Thanks but I, uh...I don't really need help with that, actually.
Edge of Nightmare Realm
[ Once she learns that people are missing parts of themselves, Luisa is more than willing to help them retrieve what they've lost. She has to do something...she can't just sit by. And when going through the doors and not finding the missing Ideyas, there isn't anything left but to look in the one place they haven't yet.
As she stands on the edge of a cliff, looking down at the darkness below, and a cold feeling runs down her back. The inky blackness stares back at them, deep and ready to swallow entirely.
Shaking her head a little, she turns to look at the person beside her. ]
Ready when you are.

[Luz takes the girl's hand, unaware that she had inherited a power recently. She hadn't been aware, since Luz hadn't actually touched anyone today, but she was now able to see visions of people's pasts. This had happened the same time she'd gotten the thermometer and the strong sense of smell, which Luz had blamed on new summer-y smells.
Of course, now she was stepping into her friends' past, something Luz could not explain away].

Bruno Madrigal | Encanto | OTA
[Bruno is generally very conflict-avoidant. He doesn't like getting into fights, decades worth of snide remarks and being ostracised by literally everyone around him have made him pretty meek in comparison to the rest of his family. Because of this, he tends to only go near the spirit realm gates if someone he cares about is in danger.
So it's rather unfortunate (and ironic) that his green gem was taken. Anyone near the spirit gate might find Bruno, his nail-bat held aloft, yelling loudly as he races into it. ]
You wanna GO? Let's go!!!!
[Folks might want to follow him so he doesn't get himself killed. His impulse control might be gone, but he's still a tiny, middle-aged man who weighs about the same as a wet towel. He keeps blinking in and out of sight here- realising he can go invisible now. Luckily, because he's bound to the shadow element, he can't keep it going for more than a couple of seconds at a time, so he's not impossible to track. ]
[Nightmares]
[Bruno's nightmares are, at first, seemingly innocuous. He seems to be being trailed by an eldery woman, carrying a candle. She looks disappointed. Ashamed, sometimes. ]
Brunito, I really expected better from you. The Ortega girl was heartbroken when you told her that young man of hers was going to stray. Why would you want to hurt her like that? We're supposed to be pillars for this community and now we have a crying girl at our doorstep.
[Bruno shakes his head, squeezing his eyes shut quickening his pace, trying to block her out.]
You're not real, this isn't happening, you're not even here.
[As the nightmare goes on, more people join the old woman. Kaisou residents might recognise Bruno's sisters, Pepa and Julieta, following quietly behind their mother- Julieta's eyes downcast, Pepa's face like thunder as literal thunder rumbles above her head. Despite her anger, it's the old woman who speaks.]
It was your sister's big day. What were you thinking? Her wedding was ruined and the village will be talking about this for years. All you needed to do was sit quietly and leave it alone. Why do you always have to cause problems? Do you WANT to hurt your family?
[Bruno tries to quicken his pace, but even more people join behind her. The people of the Encanto, their voices a cacophony, talking over one another, all with their own grievances they wanted to be heard. ]
My favourite vase broke because you said- You knew the crop would die and you didn't stop- YOU KILLED MY GOLDFISH - Why did you tell me about Alejandro? Now that's all I can think- You made this happen- This is your fault - You knew about this - This is your fault- Your fault- Your-
[Bruno lets out a strangled scream- making a sweeping motion with his nail-bat. He doesn't aim to hit anyone, simply to get himself some distance.]
Stop it, stop it, STOP IT. It's not MY fault!!! I don't make things happen!!

Danny had also been stuck being invisible for the last ten minutes, with no idea how to make it stop.
When he spots someone who seemed like they knew what they were doing, he immediately chases after him.
"Hey!" the invisible Danny calls out. "Any tips on how to stop being invisible?"

Jun Nightroad | Tokyo Xanadu | OTA (CW IN ONE OF THE PROMPTS)
[He knew something had been taken from him. He could tell that right away when he woke up and found his powers weren't working. He was back to how he was before this app was a thing. No, possibly worse since even his telekinesis didn't work. He's never been without his telekinesis, so the whole experience was...unnerving.
He had to fix this. He couldn't be like this forever. He grabbed what weapons he could and headed for the Spirit Realm, all while trying to ignore the nerves he kept feeling. He's just jumpy because he's weak now...that's all.
What he isn't expecting though? Is finding himself wearing an oversized wizard hat and too small a cape. The hat is big enough that it falls down over Jun's eyes the first time is appears]
- Eep.
[Yeah, that sure was a squeak coming out of him. ]
II. Nightmare (CW: Child Abuse/Death)
[He should've thought twice before diving into the nightmare realm. He should've listened to what the owl was saying, and his own nerves. But he hadn't. He had shut that all out and flew down into it.
His nightmare looks similar to one of labyrinths that appear for otherworlders. A maze like structure with narrow hallways. This labyrinth in particular is reminiscent of church architecture. Down the corridors, echoes of monster screams, battle sounds, and the occasional screams of children can be heard as they either fight for their lives...or reach their end.
Jun recognizes it immediately, his face draining of color as terror enters his face. ]
No- nononono, not this place! [He stumbles back, his voice cracking from rare panic] W-Why are we in this place?!
III. Wildcard
[Got another prompt? Hit me up! For lighter prompts, Jun can be found at the convention]

But he's pushing forward stubbornly when he enters Jun's nightmare. He pauses when he hears his voice, moving towards it. Grimacing as he hears the sounds of screams.]

Katsuki Bakugou | My Hero Academia
[There is a new Japanese restaurant near campus that has several spicy food options. And Katsuki can't believe he's found one here in Kaisou. There used to be one just like it not far from his house back in Japan. You'll find him there several times this month. He's really missed their food and it tastes just how he remembers!]
[Dreamland]
[Katsuki isn't thrilled with the silly outfit the dreamworld has put him in. And he kind of wants to punch the owl...
But instead he's doing his best to ignore it. Focusing instead on his search for those missing gems.]
I'm gonna strangle whoever's in charge of picking these outfits.
[Nightmares]
[Katsuki’s nightmare takes place in a forest. Crowded with trees and twisted roots that make navigation difficult. Water steadily rises around you. Already knee deep and getting higher.
Katsuki is doing his best to trudge through and keep calm but his expression shows he's anything but. It doesn't stop him from fighting any monsters he comes into contact with. He found out only a few days ago that he can blow things up now. The explosions from his hands are pretty small but very loud. So he's easy to locate.
But the higher the water gets the more he seems to lose focus.]
Shit...
(((ooc: If you'd like to plot something else, pm me or poke me at
Dreamland
[So despite feeling overly self-conscious, he floats back to the group. On the way, he overhears a familiar grumbling.]
[Ah... right. he's not the only one dressed unusually. While Souta gets the sentiment, the threat feels like overkill over something like this. Almost instinctively, he speaks in a calming tone, trying to defuse Bakugou's temper.]
Now, now... Isn't that a bit much?
[What is he doing, oh please don't blow up on him instead.]

Luz Noceda | The Owl House |OTA
Well. This was weird.
The flying thing was fun, but that Luz was looking like a certain someone was not a thing she was expecting, and it already put her in a strange place. To top THAT off, Luz was missing her green gem, and so was filled with way more bravado than she really should have.
"Heya pointy heads!" Luz waved at the strange night realm denizens, and was even swooping around the sheep, laughing with them until she realized her sparkles were taking them out.
Hmm.
"Still fun though!" Luz declared moving about pretty easily. "Wonder if this is what the Collector is really like?"
[OOC: Feel free to pop in here, but if Luz touches your hand, due to the Gatcha she obtained, she WILL be seeing your memories. You can choose which one she sees)!
The Nightmare
Luz might have lost her inhibitions (and this was why she had come here to retrieve them), but it could not have prepared her for what she was going to see now.
It had been one thing to see the sort of in-between portal place and hearing those whispers. It was another, however, to be brought to a sort of the worst version of the Boiling Isles.
All around her were her friends and family and even people she just sometimes saw regularly, on the ground in convulsions. They were all sporting sigils and their eyes had no pupils, only clear whites, and they appeared to all be suffering.
Willow. Gus. Eda. Lilith. King. Amity. All of them on the ground, shuddering, the echoes of Philip Wittebane's voice echoing in the air. Cruel laughter as their life essence seemed to be barely hanging on.
"No," Luz muttered, her breath coming in long, rapid gaps. "I don't want to see this, I don't want to see this..."
But she'd seen that memory, hadn't she? She'd seen what Bellos was planning, it had been in her nightmares since coming here, so how would it not make an appearance? This was what she and Hunter had seen, the memory of a spell not yet finished.
Luz, even missing her green gem, was overcome, and found herself on her knees, just barely keeping it together.
This isn't real, get over it, this is just a trick, this isn't really happening Luz...
Retrieval and the King of Nightmares
Now Luz was good and mad. She managed to make it out of that nightmare, and her gem was still MIA. It was hard not to feel like her suffering had been for nothing, but it was personal now, like this stupid world had dangled her along on a string and was laughing at her pain, her fears.
She was flying with anger now, and was blowing right past the decimated, crumbling version of the Boiling Isles. Yes, it even tried to throw THAT in her face, but now Luz was good and ready to let her impulsiveness lead her to whoever had thrown her insecurities in her face.
"WHERE ARE YOU?!" Luz bellowed, flying on pure rage, scanning, searching. But she didn't have to search long. After all, the Boiling Isles given way to a night version of Kaisou was a change of pace. She looked behind her and no longer saw the Isles, but looking forward, she DID see him.
Wizeman the wicked.
She heard the name in her mind, and she glowered. Oh, he was scary? Well she wasn't going to be frightened off by something as insignificant as size.
All the same, she could absolutely use some help.

II

Moxxie | Helluva Boss | OTA
Ever since Moxxie had lost his wisdom, he'd been making some...impulsive decisions. For example, he needed new clothes since, at his new size, he had exactly one outfit. A single suit pulled off of a ventriloquist dummy he had as part of a school production. However, he had options. He could go to Undertown and see if there were tailors that catered to people with more...non-human builds. He could go online and order clothes for ventriloquist dummies or large dolls.
That, however, would require the wisdom that had been stolen from him. Instead, he spots an outfit he likes in the window of a toy store being worn by a ventriloquist dummy from a children's horror TV show, and he decides he wants that outfit.
So he decides to steal it.
It's somewhat tricky getting in, but he manages to slip in after a few customers enter and leave the door slowly closing behind them. Once inside he quickly dives into a pile of stuffed animals to hide himself. He waits there, silent, and as soon as the coast is clear, he scurries out, slipping behind a row of toys on a shelf. In this fashion, he slowly makes his way through the store until he finds a row of the dummies like the one on display in the window. Once he's certain he's not being watched, he quickly steals the clothes off of three of them, then begins working his way back out of the store. Passing by the 'life sized' barbie dolls that are actually only a little over two feet...which actually is life-sized to Moxxie these days, he decides to grab a couple changes of outfit that are on display. Sure, they're dresses, but in that moment he wants them, and so he's taking them.
He continues trying to sneak to the front, sneaking through. He's almost to the exit, just has to run out and escape until...oh, crumbs. Someone's staring at him through the clear glass door.
Laughing nervously, he backs up, glancing around and wondering how easily he can make a run for it.
Realm of Dreams
At some point, Moxxie decides to investigate his missing green gem, and this leads him to Zodiac and ultimately to the gate in Central Square. While he's not a huge fan of the jester costume he finds himself wearing, but he's quickly distracted from that by the fact that he's levitating. And by the fact that he's being addressed by a talking owl. At first, it's going quite well. Moxxie is polite to the owl. He's enjoying the flight, and experimenting around with various loops and maneuvers, really trying to get a feel for the whole thing and overall just enjoying himself.
When he goes through the door, that's equally...well, a dream. He finds himself in a beautiful park with a nice pond in the center. There's a canoe there for anyone to use and a couple of beautiful swans gracefully gliding across the water's surface.
He's enjoying it until...until he sees the creature. It looks like a baby with wings.
Suddenly a memory flashes in his mind. Three beings. Two are flying sheep, but the third...the third is a flying baby with white, fluffy wings. They're arguing with Moxxie and the other two demons that are always in Moxxie's memories. One of the sheep attack the female demon he's with, knocking her over the edge of the catwalk they're all on, while the other two pull out arrows and begin firing on Moxxie and the male demon that's in all his memories.
They run for their lives, knowing that if the arrows hit them they're dead.
Moxxie opens his eyes, staring at the creature before him. It's not acting like the cherubs in his flashback. It's just approaching, curious, but Moxxie's not thinking. He's only feeling. Reaching under his...well, instead of a jacket it seems to be a black and red diamond patterned top, but his holsters and the guns are still there. He pulls out one of the two guns he'd brought into this world, aiming it at the creature.
Nightmare Realm
After Moxxie calms down and accepts that these cherub like creatures are not, in fact, a threat, he's able to focus on trying to find his green gem. Unfortunately, after searching it become clear to him that his gem wasn't in the world of dreams. He'd have to go to the world of nightmares.
Maybe he would have been concerned at how much the Nightopians don't want him going into the darkness. Instead, with his green gem gone, he's only frustrated that something's stopping him from going where he needs to to find what he'd lost. Moxxie pulls out his gun again and they all scatter. This time, though, he doesn't point it at them. He has it at the ready as he heads into the darkness, ready to face whatever he'll find within.
Which, apparently, is clowns. Giant, terrifying monster clowns that loom over him to an even greater extent than regular humans do.
Panicked, Moxxie yells and points his gun, desperately firing at the clowns. "Get away from me you nightmarish abominations!"
Realm of Dreams
"Wait! Don't!" he cries, rushing forward with an unsteady yet determined flight. His first thought is to move between them... but then Souta remembers the talks he had after last month and settles for stopping nearby instead.
"They haven't done anything. Please, don't hurt them!"

Rose | FFXIV | OTA
[For being a hero, Rose is remarkably cautious. While she's often found herself in life or death situations, she's rarely rushed forward into them, and has never sought them out. She is reserved, if a bit prickly on the outside. At least, she is until her Ideya is stolen.]
[It turns out that the thief seems to have stolen the part of her responsible for her fear, and in turn, Rose is a changed woman. Today, she's the picture of the people's hero. Instead of avoiding eye contact, she's walking up to people. Instead of dodging chores, she's offering to go on fetch quests. What's that? You dropped something. She's right behind you, holding it out to you with a smile.]
Here. I think this is yours.
[Realm of Dreams]
[When the new and improved Rose hears of things being stolen, she doesn't think of what was taken from her (although, she probably should), but rather what was taken from others.
AlwaysNever one to run from people in need, she's one of the first to rush into the Dreamlands, aiming to get back that what was stolen.][Rather fittingly, she appears to be dressed in a princely-like costume. If it was any other time, she'd likely protest, but right now it seems to suit her well. If there's anybody that seems less than enthused to venture forward, she'll walk up to them, offering her hand.]
It's safer if we go together.
[Nightmares - Potential Heavensward Spoilers]
[At some point she decides to help herself, and that means facing her own nightmares. But it's no problem, nothing here has posed a problem so far, so she has nothing to be scared of!]
[...Right? When she opens her eyes to a familiar-looking arena, though, she pauses. There was something she was scared of, wasn't there? What was it?]
[She looks to the person who came in with her, shaking her head.]
I think we should be careful.

He should have expected this. All the warriors of light in Kaisou know the same pain, after all.
But the trepidation, the fear, quickly gives way to anger. His lips pull back around his teeth.]
Careful? Here?
[He whips his wrists faster than the eye can see and summons six throwing knives, three in each hand, held between his knuckles like claws. Though he's dropped into a ready stance, his feet are just barely touching the ground, as he's become very adept at floating (or flying, as the case may be-- the monarch wings help).]
Why should I be careful when they've just delivered my revenge on a platter?
[The whites of his eyes are visible, and his breathing is measured.]
Send your knights. I'll decorate this church with the pieces.

Souta Suzukaze | Otogi Juushi Akazukin | OTA
[Souta had left the house intending to go shopping for summer plants. Halfway there, he hears a clatter behind him. He turns to spot a lawn flamingo lying on the ground.]
Oh, hello there.
[He moves to pick it up, planning to ask those nearby if they had dropped a recent purchase. When suddenly five more fall down around him. Yet he didn't see anyone close enough to have dropped them all. Blinking in confusion, he stares up, trying to see the source of said flamingos.]
...Where are they even coming from?
[Realm of Dreams]
[Souta feels a little guilty, coming back to the Spirit Realm after worrying others last month. But he still has that promise to keep. Plus just because he's here doesn't mean he'll risk his life, right?]
[However, he has some immediate regrets upon entering the gate. Those being a sudden and unexpected costume change! His usual summer clothes have become a rather gaudy princely costume. Oh, how embarrassing!]
[He tries to swim his way through the air to the edges of the courtyard, hoping to avoid being seen. If someone notices or tries to talk to him, he'll jump (probably throwing him off his floating course) before offering a shakey smile.]
H-hello. This isn't so bad, is it?
[The Edge of the Nightmare Realm] (Potential CW for spiders and missing parent if Souta's Nightmare is explored)
[The Nightopians get very upset as he gets close to the edge of the world. Souta stares down at the deep void, half listening to the Owl as he explains what's going on. Something about that inky blackness feels like he's seen it before. He jumps back into the explanation as Owl is discussing the inhabitants of the Nightmare Realm, and Souta speaks without thinking.]
Nightmarian?
["No, the Nightmaren. Those are the ones who have stolen these visitors' Ideya."]
Oh. Right, sorry.
[Where did that come from? He mulls over it for a moment, that is until another person approaches.]
Are you going in there?
Meti (Meta Knight) | Kirby series | ota
I - Small
[Given his recent transformation, Meti knows staying inside until some sort of solution is figured out (ideally involving becoming more human shaped) is the best plan. Being an active little guy on the best of days and his usual impulse control currently spirited away to another realm, all it takes is a stray craving for certain sweets and he's out the window and into the night.
One might spot him on the roof of a 7-Eleven or the Void Denny's chilling with something highly sugary, either by having solid perception skills or because whoever happened to be on shift mentioned off-handedly that a weird plush bat-thing got food earlier with the tone of someone who's probably seen weirder even just in the last couple hours.
Bother him?]
II - Mad Because Small
[As one might expect of someone who was pretty ready to throw hands even before they had their impulse control stolen, Meti inevitably gets into a fight with Wizeman the Wicked. This is, in some ways, incredibly comical to witness, given the absurdity of a two-foot ball with hands and feet doing his best to stab a building-sized metal man with a normal-sized sword.
It'd almost be like something out of a children's cartoon if it weren't for the very real danger and the fact that Meti keeps cursing Wizeman out in both English and Spanish like he has some personal beef with the guy.
...Someone should maybe go help him.]
