Just a few quick words today! First of all, we'd like to extend a congratulations to Horse! While Zodiac is looking into ways to return everyone to their homes, Horse took the initiative and found a way on her own! She truly showed that a can-do attitude truly is all you need to overcome barriers! We're proud of you, Horse, you're an inspiration to all of us, and we wish you the best wherever you may be.

But for the rest of you, don't worry! Zodiac is still here to monitor the situation and support you where it's needed. As we mentioned before, everyone on this app is experiencing unusual spirit readings. We've also found that this may cause some side effects such as a change in hair or eye color, new unusual body parts, new abilities and minor memory problems. So far there's no indication that these side effects are serious, so try not to worry about it! We promise to continue to keep you informed, as Zodiac values good and open communication.

Oh, all right. I just looked it up. I don't watch many shows at all, much less anime, so I didn't understand the reference.

I guess someone at this company is having fun, at least? It's... let's go with "troubling" that they're doing so at our expense and that of the Spirit Realm, but surely that's hardly the fault of one employee.

I'm not entirely sure anymore... maybe four years? Maybe longer? I don't often use my phone aside from calling and the occasional text, so it's never really been important to upgrade.

Oh, believe me, they're hounding us as well... but if I upgrade, my grandmother will want to upgrade as well, and that's a whole endeavor I'm not entirely sure I'm emotionally prepared for.

At least it seems that my grandmother slept through the initial notification, so that's good, but they should really find a way to mute it! I know it would have given me quite the shock had I not still been up studying at that hour.

Yeah, I think the not being able to mute part is by design. I'm not sure WHY they think it's necessary though.

I can think of a few reasons... none of them good.

It could be that they wish to startle and disorient us further, which would make us more pliable to their whims. Or it could just be as simple as they truly believe they're so important that they should be able to bypass our settings and be the center of attention whenever they please.

But yes, I'm glad for that as well. This is already enough of a headache without having her rambling on about her beauty sleep.

I doubt it's the first one. It's just a phone notification, not a torture tactic. We only get these messages about once a month.

As for the latter....maybe? But it's not like this stuff isn't important to bring to our attention. Your life is about to get weird from here on out.

There's still no need for it to somehow bypass me setting my phone to silent. Even important phone calls don't do that!

As for things getting weird... oh, don't worry, I already understand that. I doubt I'll be able to fully prepare for whatever may come next, but I am at least bracing myself for impact, so to speak.

Thank you, I appreciate that. My own sphere of understanding gives me a little more calm in this situation than I can see some of the others are experiencing, but I expect I'm quickly going to run up against the limits of that sphere...

Aha, well, "encounter" is a strong word. But my grandmother very much believes in the supernatural and raised me to keep my eyes open for traces of that world as well... and to respect its power.

Which is what worries me more than anything, honestly, is that Zodiac doesn't appear to respect it.
