Un: Zodiac | Mid-Month Update

WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: Libra App
WHEN: January 15th
WHAT: Zodiac Network Post
WARNINGS: None!

[We've reached the middle of January. The Zodiac race was a thrilling success, and the winter is still freezing. Wherever you are, your phone will give a blaring alert sound, indicating a new Zodiac post. As usual, the alert will sound even if you have your phone turned off or on silent, and will take over your phone until you read and comment to the message. The post begins like the previous one had, with notifications of peoples coming and goings]

Crito Flat Jusis Ann Minwu Diluc
Crito, Flat, Jusis, Ann, Minwu, and Diluc have joined the app. Say hi everyone!

Dolores Xingqiu Roxas Chongyun Alphinaud
Dolores, Xingqiu, Roxas, Chongyun, and Alphinaud has left the app.

[The post then continues on as normal.]

Hello. Thank you for using the Libra App.

Because you all reacted so positively to my post last month, my bosses has assigned me to write these mid-month updates from now on. Which means I have extra work now. So thanks for that.

Congratulations on everyone who completed the Zodiac race. Hope you enjoyed yourselves somehow or learned something. If any of you took a peach but decide you don't want it, Zodiac will take it off your hands for a payment that's higher than my salary. Which is depressing me just thinking about it, so let's move on.

We're aware that Jusis Albarea from the Black Order has joined the app. It was part of the deal we made with them to help deal with Professor Willow. There will probably be more of them in the future. The Order has insisted they are only here to monitor and assist in what's going on. Zodiac is not liable if any of you manage to do something that makes them decide to take you out, so try to play nice.

Anyway, my shift's over so that's it. Seeya.

This post is sponsored by Victory Road Athletics. Fulfill your new years resolution with our athletic gear. All balls on sale this week!

[Users will have the option to choose their own display names and user pics if they haven't already. If nothing is chosen, the app will use their real name and a quick photo taken of them from their camera's phone. Like always, there'll be no responses from Zodiac.]

Have you ever heard of Florida Man?
stripartist: (Confused. Again.)

[personal profile] stripartist 2023-01-15 06:02 am (UTC)(link)
My students once asked if I knew such a person, but I've only been to Florida once.

Suffice it to say, Florida is a place where many strange things happen and I suggest looking up articles with headlines about a Florida Man. It's punishment enough.

But it's just a state?

That's like saying the Appalachian Mountains are "just a mountain range."

Aren't they? Forgive me, I didn't move to the states until college so I don't understand the reference.

I was wholly unaware of them until moving here for college myself. That particular mountain range has a long and strange history, with a cave literally older than bones located there, and became an object of worship at some point. It's a range to be respected. Florida is the same way, but even more bizarre.

I see.

Thank you for giving me an idea to suggest for the the art student's senior trip, as well. I think such a place would do wonders for their inspiration.

[WHAT THE FU—]

Even the gentler parts of the Appalachian Mountains can be rough going if they're not prepared for a hike. There's also a higher chance they'll go missing if you go there.

I'm sure they could handle it, and it isn't like I'd let them go wandering anyway.

Nope we're not doing that! The plan was to take them to NYC, remember? So they could see the MET and other cool places?

[AND NOT GET LOST AND DIE IN THE MOUNTAINS]

Oh yes, I guess it would be unfair to do that this year and not the next. Yuri'd be disappointed in the lack of stageshows as well.

Yeah, exactly! Yuri and I have both lived in NYC, so we'd be more prepared to guide the kids there than the Appalachian Mountains.

That's true. Very well, I'll just have to make plans to visit this summer.
