WHO: Jusis and all o' y'all!
WHERE: Network
WHEN: January 8th
WHAT: Someone new has arrived on the Libra app, but this time by, uh, some definition of choice.
WARNINGS: None so far, but headers will have them if needed!
[There's a new face gracing Libra's network. He's wearing a nice, green suit and a solid, darker green tie. Jusis is a man who looks professional and rather severe, especially with his resting bitch face. When he speaks, there's a subtle German accent that can be heard if you're looking for it.]
My name is Jusis Albarea, Esquire, a prosecuting attorney attached to Kaisou's police force. Though I'm new to the Libra app, I'm afraid that Kaisou has gained a certain... reputation lately.
[His face doesn't really betray any emotion as he says that.]
In the spirit of cooperation, and because I see more downsides to keeping it a secret than being open about it, I'll tell you this: I'm a member of The Black Order. I'm here to investigate what has been happening in Kaisou.
[Jusis sighs in what sounds a little like tiredness.]
Whether you help me or not is entirely up to you. I'm not going to force it. That being said, if anything dangerous comes up, you can count on my skills to help protect Kaisou and its people.

Well, maybe.
[He'll switch to video. He's got a hat on so the cat ears aren't visible, at least]
I'm Elliot Craig. Does...Does the name Class VII mean anything to you?
Private Video
Seeing Elliot's face is what gets a real reaction out of Jusis, though. He's shocked. The name, the face, Class VII....
Jusis immediately sets this to a private conversation. He's not going to let anyone else on this damn app see him so emotional.]
You're real?
[He can't help asking. He's been remembering these people for years and never saw them, always wondering if maybe this whole thing has been in his head rather than reality. Still, having it come out so raw like that.... Jusis clears his throat.]
I'm sorry, that was... [Rude? Emotional? For once, he's struggling with his words.]
Private Video
No, don't apologize! I totally understand how you feel!
[He puts his hand to his chest]
Honestly, I didn't think I'd ever find you. I mean, it is like finding a needle in a planet sized haystack...
[To put it mildly]
But yeah, I'm real.
Private Video
Thank God... truthfully, I thought I was imagining it, or going insane, when the memories started coming back to me.
[He shakes his head. Now isn't the time to dwell on that.]
Are there others from Class VII here?
Private Video
[And maybe he has lost it, who knows!!! It's really hard to tell when you teach high school]
Rean's here! Though he's not on the app anymore, so he doesn't remember Class VII right now. But he's still very much Rean.
[...]
Also I might've bought weed from Crow in college? I haven't seen him in awhile though, so I might be wrong about that.
Private Video
I... started remembering when I was around 17. So, it's been almost 12 years that I've been living with these memories, I believe.
[He's glad to hear that Rean's in Kaisou, though it's strange that he's not on the app anymore. It's the bit about Crow that throws him off.]
I... he.... [He pauses.] ... No, on thinking about it, this makes sense for Armbrust. Still, I'm glad to hear that Rean and Crow are alright. Even if they don't remember, it's good to know that they exist.
Private Video
[It must've been so lonely for Jusis. It's hurt remembering people he wasn't sure he'd see again, but it's only been one year for him. 12 though?]
Yeah. And if we all exist, there's no reason the others aren't out there too. [...] I know we both probably got a lot of differences now from who we were in the past, but I'd like to get to know you in this life too.
If that's okay, of course!
Private Video
[And it's sincere. It's probably the one thing he's hated about the whole affair. He's very limited in what he can confide in other people, especially Class VII.]
Indeed.
[The offer of getting to know each other in this life loosens a knot that has apparently been in his chest for a long time. Jusis feels like he can breathe a little easier for the first time in far too long. He smiles a little bit.]
Honestly? I'd like that a lot. We may have a lot of differences with our past lives, but it's clear to me that some fundamental things have remained the same. Speaking of which... are you still pursuing music?
Private Video
[He certainly has misgivings about them. But if Jusis was among them...well, that didn't matter. He was still Class VII, and even death doesn't void that membership]
Great! I was hoping you say that. [It's a relief to him. Like a piece of his world has been put back into place] Oh, music? I am! I mean, I'm just a music teacher right now. I haven't exactly gone pro like my past self did...it's kinda hard to find time to make an album with everything, you know?
Private Video
[Though he somewhat doubts it'll happen, he does know that his line for what the Order can make him do is drawn at Class VII and children. Even after in a new life, Jusis is still ride or die for them.]
A music teacher? I'm certain your passion is doing wonders to inspire your students. [
And also strike fear into them.] When you have the time and confidence, I'm certain Rean and I'll be some of the first to purchase a copy.Private Video
Hey, don't worry about all that. I'm not interested in grilling you about the Black Order. You only tell me what you want to tell me. All that matters to me is that you're here and we're together again. That's enough for me.
[His loyalty first and foremost laid with the members of Class VII. He wasn't going to do anything that'd put Jusis in a bad position]
Ha, I sure hope that's the case! [It's hard to tell with teens sometimes] And thanks! I'll even send you an autographed copy, if it ever happens!
What about you? Do you do anything outside of work and...Order stuff? Still like horses?
Private Video
That makes things significantly easier. Thank you, Elliot.
[Jusis chuckles softly.]
An autographed copy, hm? I'll treasure it.
[Oh, God. He at least has the decency to look slightly chagrined by the question of if he has any hobbies.]
I've kept up with riding horses, yes, and I've picked up fencing again. Most of my time is spent doing work, but... sometimes, if I have truly nothing to do, I read books.
Private Video
Eheh, no need to thank me, you know! Maybe it was a lifetime ago, but as far as I'm concerned, you're still a part of Class VII.
[And that means they're family. Period.]
So basically the same stuff as before, that's good! I was worried you were going to say you only work and nothing else. [Sure he might be really busy, but baby steps] So prosecuting attorney huh? What's that like?
Private Video
[Finding technically three of them has given Jusis some much-needed hope. Even Machias will be a sight for sore eyes. At least for the first five seconds.]
No, though that would accurately describe my college life. I... haven't had any real friends since middle school. [He'll at least be honest to Elliot about that. He's not proud of it, but....] It can be very rewarding, but also soul-crushingly sad and frustrating. Still... though the good outweighs the bad for me, those bad ones do stay for a very long time.
Private Video
[His smile is a bright and hopeful one. It's been awhile since he let himself feel such things.
Even if Jusis isn't proud of it, Elliot isn't going to judge it. If anything...Elliot can relate to it]
Is that so huh? That's...well, I can't say I was much better. Dad still sent me to a military high school, but without you guys there...well, it'd went as well as you'd think. [Badly. Very, very badly] After that, it took awhile for me to let down any walls again.
[That's a very personal thing to confess to someone, something he'd normally opt not to say to most people. But well...it's different with Class VII.]
Yeah...that's about what I imagine, based on court cases you hear in the news. [He could never handle that work] Still, I'm proud of you! I'd always wondered what kind of job you might have in this life. But it sounds like you found your own way to live by your values, despite everything.
Private Video
I wish we could've been there for you. [Jusis hesitates.] I don't know if you recall anything about my old life's family, but... well. Some things didn't change. My mom is alive, but my father remains... as he is, though arguably worse in this life. And I don't know what my brother's goals are, either. It was easier to focus on getting my mom and myself away from them in addition to my studies.
[Hence his rather cold and fairly harsh response to nearly everyone not named Class VII. At Elliot's commentary on his career choice, he can't help himself from smiling.]
Thank you. To tell the truth, I did enter this particular career path so that I might one day see my father face justice. [He smirks a little.] And, to put some spite on it, I went to a law school that specialized in civil rights.
Private Video
Yeah, I remember some stuff about your family. [He sighs] I'm really glad your mom's alive...not so much with the other two, I admit. [Look.] S-Should I ask how your dad could get worse?
[Because man HE WAS ALREADY REAL BAD. Still, in spite of that...Jusis was still Jusis. ]
Nicely done. That's our Jusis. [He gives a bit of a wry smile] Though you know, with a career path like that, I'm surprised you haven't run into Machias yet. All that stuff sounds right up his alley.
Private Video
Honestly, that's a fair assessment of my family situation. [Someone said Jusis isn't allowed to have a functional and caring family.] Well... he's a CEO, and his company doesn't deal with just normal goods. He's been exploiting supernatural creatures... and people. When I started awakening to what I can only describe as magic, I knew I wasn't going back, even if I wanted to.
[Somehow, despite of everything, he's still the Jusis Elliot knew.
He shakes his head in slight exasperation.]
You would think. I wouldn't at all be surprised if he was a defense attorney, or in some sort of political science field.
Private Video
[No matter the universe, Jusis suffers. Truly the Jusis he knows]
Me too. Maybe we should start checking activist circles? See if any of the long blog posts match his writing style.
Private Video
[Forever suffering at a young age. He's almost 29, but he feels like he's going on 50.]
Activist blogs, perhaps Twitter. That seems like a place for him to get uselessly angry about.
Private Video
[He snorts at that. ]
Yeouch, though that's probably...a fair assessment. Maybe we can look through those places together sometime! [...] I don't want to do it by myself, those places really stress me out.
[Hold his hand Jusis he is too soft for twitter discourse]
Private Video
[Jusis has to tsun even when Machias isn't around or else they'll think he's gone soft!!]
I'd be happy to comb through them with you when our schedules allow. They do take a toll on one's mental health rather severely.
[Even Jusis avoids spending too much time on Twitter, and he lives for confrontation. He'll hold Elliot's hand through it, though. It'll be okay.]
Private Video
[Ah yes can't have anyone thinking that even if you are soft!!]
Great! Maybe this weekend? We can catch up on stuff, scroll twitter, and grab.... uh, do you still eat rich people food?
[Just want to make sure he doesn't kill the rich boy's digestive system feeding him poor people stuff]
Private Video
[...]
Yes, I simply must have a filet mignon on a silver plate at a Michelin star restaurant with my teacher friend. [Honestly, this is pretty soft sass coming from Jusis. Elliot gets some leniency.] I'll be just fine without it. Unless you mean to eat rich people as food, in which case I can only tell you to make sure you season well.
Private Video
Very funny. I'm afraid I'm not even sure what filet mignon is. And the only silver dishware I have is definitely not real silver.
[He says that in a teasing tone. ]
I'll make us some hot pot. It'll be well seasoned! Just bring some Pepto Bismal in case your body can't handle ingredients bought on sale.
