[There were plenty of first date options to choose from. Dinner. A movie. Theme parks. Escape rooms. Hiking. Katsuki, however, had decided that a good first date plan was signing up for a quest together.

Finding and destroying some wonky love potions definitely sounded doable for them!

They were sneaking around the warehouse district now and had already had a couple close calls. But now Katsuki is almost certain they're about to be caught, backed into a corner with nowhere to run. And a guard coming closer and closer. They call out and Katsuki starts readying himself for a fight...]

Li'l Pet Shop of Horrors (Locked to Luz):

[When Katsuki found that he would be doing this quest with Luz, it seemed like a good opportunity to maybe discuss the whole... yelling thing from last month. But he figured the quest should come first.

Unfortunately shit hit the fan from the moment they walked through the door. From failing to intimidate a criminal to the animals going nuts. Katsuki was ready to just fight the responsible party when the 'evidence' was found.

A little chaos and confusion and some magic shenanigans later and Katsuki and Luz were now on the run down the street as a pair of cute, fuzzy animals. Katsuki wasn't very pleased to be a fluffy orange cat but at least they could still communicate with each other even if no ome else could understand them?]

Yeah. That's definitely new.

[He's not going to admit he's been worried about using his fire because of the whole nitroglycerin sweat thing. Now he knows that it can definitely give him some headaches if he isn't careful. But at least it can't hurt him... well. He'll have to double check that later. Carefully. For now he grabs Yoosung's hand and heads for the door. Glancing at the bear he makes a decision.]

...got time to stop somewhere on the way back?

[That does make him think that Katsuki has been hurt by his own fire before, which makes him wonder if he was expecting to be hurt this time. Maybe something to discuss later. Sternly. While trying not to look too cute.

As it is, he's distracted while they leave by Katsuki's question to him. (And yes, he's carrying his new bear right out of here. Maybe it'll be less lonely at Yoosung's place with his other stuffed animals?)]

Ah? I guess? I'd planned to spend the day with you so I don't have anywhere to be. Why? Where are we going?

[Not expecting so much as... aware it was a possibility? But yeah. Conversations about that probably have to happen, given everything.

For now it's time to sneak back out of the warehouse district. But at that question Katsuki gives him a blank look. Giving nothing away.]

It's a surprise. You trust me, right?

[Not the slightest bit suspicious, Yoosung only smiles at that.]

Yeah, of course! Ah... Can we hold hands? I never really asked you how you feel about like... Showing affection in public, eheheh...

[Katsuki holds out his hand to Yoosung.]

Hand holding is fine.

[He starts leading the way once they're holding hands. Mulling it over. How he feels about pda...]

I think a lot of it, I'm fine with. Not really a fan of kissing in public though.

[Clearly pleased, Yoosung takes his hand to hold. And promptly remembers what Zelos had said about it being lewd. Ridiculous.

He wasn't exactly planning on kissing Katsuki in public or anywhere else since they hadn't even had their first kiss yet, and it felt like something he should let Katsuki control the speed on. He's still a little afraid of being too much or too fast.]

Um. Okay. I'll just... Let you be in charge of that sort of thing then!

[He hugs the bear to him with his free arm, looking away bashfully.]

[Katsuki is a little slow on this kind of thing. It's not even that he doesn't want to. He's just... working up to it.]

You don't have to do that. You can hold my hand or hug me or whatever. I don't care who sees that we're together. I'm not ashamed.

[Yoosung is hardly expecting a kiss right now anyway, so even the kiss to his knuckles is a surprise. And a very pleasant one; it's soft and sweet and romantic and takes his breath away. And Katsuki calling him his lucky charm on top of that? His heart just about melts.]

Katsuki...

[The way he says his name is full of awe. Speaking of charm. He's charmed. By Katsuki. It's a good thing there's not a gate around for him to smack into.]

...ah. I really like that... Being your lucky charm. Um... I think I'll name him Charm, then.

[Seems like a hit to him. He's glad this date is going generally pretty well? Despite the nearly setting himself on fire and burning up a whole bunch of plush bears.

He walks hand in hand with his boyfriend until they reach their destination. A toy store. He peers through the window, looking around to confirm they have what he wants. Sure enough they do. He leads Yoosung to the display of Share Bears.]

Which one do you think would make a good friend for him?

[A toy store! That is a surprise, and he gasps softly when Katsuki brings him over to the Share Bears. He can scarcely believe he's this lucky to have Katsuki as a boyfriend, someone who is capable of teasing him the way he likes, listening to him when he doesn't like something, and also treating him like someone so special.

He immediately is drawn to the blue bear with a raincloud on its tummy and a grumpy expression on its face. He picks him up and hands him to Katsuki with a bright smile.]

This one! He's cute and grumpy, and his raincloud reminds me of when we met back in July~

[Katsuki studies the grumpy bear for a moment before glancing at the lucky one. Then back again before looking at Yoosung.]

What's his name gonna be?

I was thinking Boom? Kinda like from thunder, but also...

[He takes one of Katsuki's hands, holding it out like he does when he uses his quirk and making an explosion sound effect noise.

Boom.

Then he grins at Katsuki. Clever? Yes? Right?]

[And that would be a genuine smile out of him. Still lopsided. But much softer than his smirks.

He ruffles Yoosung's hair.]

Heh... I like it. Charm and Boom. Let me pay for him and then... let's grab some takeout and go watch a movie?

[Ahhhh, what a nice smile. Yoosung's heart skips a beat, and he squeezes Katsuki's hand before he releases it and gets his hair ruffled. He laughs lightly at that, fluffing it a little himself but making sure his hairpins are still in place.]

Yeah. That sounds good~ I'll wait out here with Charm?

[Katsuki goes in to buy Yoosung's new plush bear, bringing it out in a little plastic shopping bag to keep it safe on the walk back. Charm can fit inside with him if Yoosung chooses.]

Do you want to grab takeout to bring back home or eat out somewhere?

[Yoosung adds Charm to the bag with great care, beaming at Katsuki afterward. His heart feels so full right now. He takes Katsuki's free hand again to hold.]

Mm, takeout! You promised me snuggling on the couch~

[Yoosung is so full of sunshine. He remembers thinking it was a Lot and kind of draining first thing in the morning the first time he slept over. But he finds it's not bothering him now. Far from it, it's kind of cute.]

Been looking forward to that, huh? I shouldn't be surprised. You were all over me even before we got together. How much more handy are you planning to be now?

[And of course when he thinks Yoosung is cute he has to default to teasing him. Because Yoosung is cutest when he's flustered.]

[He blushes at that but is still smiling.]

Ummm... I guess as much as you'll let me be? I like being close to you! Feels nice.

[He hums, considering.]

I'll let you know if you do something I don't like. But everything so far has been fine.

[An emphatic nod. That makes him feel more confident. Although...]

Does that mean... It feels nice for you too, being close? O-or do you just kinda tolerate it? Mm, I'm thankful either way!
