[There were plenty of first date options to choose from. Dinner. A movie. Theme parks. Escape rooms. Hiking. Katsuki, however, had decided that a good first date plan was signing up for a quest together.

Finding and destroying some wonky love potions definitely sounded doable for them!

They were sneaking around the warehouse district now and had already had a couple close calls. But now Katsuki is almost certain they're about to be caught, backed into a corner with nowhere to run. And a guard coming closer and closer. They call out and Katsuki starts readying himself for a fight...]





Li'l Pet Shop of Horrors (Locked to Luz):

[When Katsuki found that he would be doing this quest with Luz, it seemed like a good opportunity to maybe discuss the whole... yelling thing from last month. But he figured the quest should come first.

Unfortunately shit hit the fan from the moment they walked through the door. From failing to intimidate a criminal to the animals going nuts. Katsuki was ready to just fight the responsible party when the 'evidence' was found.

A little chaos and confusion and some magic shenanigans later and Katsuki and Luz were now on the run down the street as a pair of cute, fuzzy animals. Katsuki wasn't very pleased to be a fluffy orange cat but at least they could still communicate with each other even if no ome else could understand them?]

Quick! Up this way! There's an open window!

[If someone had asked Yoosung prior to this what he thought a good first date would be, doing a quest for Zodiac that could possibly involve combat would not be high on his list of answers. Possibly it wouldn't have made the list at all.

But then, one of the people who had given him advice on the Libra app had mentioned dungeon crawling, and this was maybe a little similar? It seems like it works for Katsuki, and honestly Yoosung just enjoys being with him, particularly when he's in his element like he is in this sort of situation.

However, that doesn't mean he's eager to see Katsuki hurt other humans when it might not be necessary. (Dangerous, blood-thirsty monsters in dungeons, sure, but not innocent humans that are presumably just doing their job.)

Maybe it's his gamer instincts or something, but somehow he manages to think quickly enough to mimic the voice of another guard they'd noticed outside earlier.]

Just coming back in from break, I got this area covered!

[The voice, as it usually is when he manages to access this power, is flawless. Yoosung looks to Katsuki with raised eyebrows as the guard calls him Dave and seems to suggest he should probably try quiting smoking again.

Yoosung just attempts a wordless grumble back at him and the exchange ends, the guard turning around to presumably leave this area to "Dave."]

So. A couple of things.

One. She absolutely was NOT happy with this Ms. Fluffuffer continuing to mess with people, and then framing them. She was clearly the worse.

Two. Luz was not gifted in the speech of these animals any more than Bakugou was gifted in intimidating, at least in this case. The animals did not seem to care that Luz wanted to help them and ratted them out as quickly as they could. Disney had clearly lied to her about animal companions having good intentions.

Three. Being all but convicted as a hardened criminal was certainly a lot to bear, especially since this was the weekend and Luz had several classes she needed to catch up on. Shaking the SPETA agents was a pain, which of course led her to:

Five. She was now a brown cat who's only companion was Bakugou, and she was all too ready to get away from the advancing agents.

You got it!

Luz reared her behind a little before jumping, stumbling a bit.

Right. I have a tail now. That feels really weird to try and balance at the same time!

[Katsuki still isn't used to that and it throws him for a second. But hey. He's impressed by the quick thinking. He waits, listening to the retreating footsteps until they fade. Then he's peering around the corner.

Coast is clear.]

Good job. C'mon. I spied an unlocked door. Let's go in and have a look around.

[They're going to need those light orbs of Yoosung's inside though. It's pretty dark.]

Everything about this is weird as hell.

[He slips through the window and into what appears to be an office. No one appears to be occupying it at the moment.

He sits on the desk, watching out the window as the SPETA agents run by down below, looking for them.]

At least being this small makes hiding easy. We should probably stay put for a little bit. Until the coast is clear.

[Katsuki tells him "good job" and that immediately gives him warm fuzzies. It feels nice to sort of just allow himself to blush without feeling nervous about the reasons being discovered by Katsuki now. Because obviously he knows. So.

He nods at what he says, and follows Katsuki to the door he spotted. Once inside, he realizes it's darker than anticipated, and calls up an orb of light in his hand to carry with him, like a lantern.]

Now we just need to find where exactly in this place they're keeping this stuff...?

[Luz lets out a light hiss at the agents, then plops down in front of Bakugou, licking her paw and letting out a growl].

I can't believe that...fiddlefloofer lady got the drop on us! Now we're probably going to be on their wanted list for the month! We'll probably have to stay like this for a bit!

She stretched, arching her back.

She's probably turning people into animals too, right?

[Katsuki peers at the long metal shelves stretched out in front of them. All full to the brim with boxes.]

Could just set it all on fire.

[Yoosung. Please reason with him.]

[blurrier]

Katsuki!!

[He whispers harshly, frowning in that way that might as well be pouting.]

You can't do that! We don't know what all is in here, something could be super flammable or even explosive! You could hurt someone! You could hurt yourself! You could hurt me!

[Hopefully that last possibility is enough to convince him, if nothing else.]

[Katsuki frowns, looking a little annoyed. But really he's embarrassed. Because yeah. All of that is true.]

Okay. Okay. I get it.

[.....]

You realize you're cute when you're angry, right?

[He moves towards the end of the shelves. They may as well start at one end and work their way to the other end.]

That's definitely what's going on. And those stupid agents somehow missed her doing the same to us. Ugh.

[He's not exactly keen on letting it slide. But if they're going to be monitored for a while, he can't do much. Except maybe call and drop some anonymous tips... that will have to wait.]

Don't stress yourself out about it for now. Once we get out of here, do you have a place to lay low until you turn back?

[He sighs in relief, then pouts harder at what Katsuki says after that.]

I dunno whether to be offended by that or take it as a compliment...? Um. Here...

[He creates another palm-sized orb of light and hands it over to Katsuki to hold, giving them more light to see by to search the shelves.]

It's a complaint. If you get mad at me it's hard for me to argue with you.

[He actually had that problem before. When Yoosung got mad about him hiding things. He ended up telling Yoosung the truth of his possession.

He takes the light, fascinated by it. That's pretty neat. He moves to one side of the aisle, letting Yoosung take the other. They can go twice as fast.]

[Well, maybe that's to Yoosung's advantage then, but it still feels weird since it's not... A respectable advantage? The curse of being cute.

He nods as Katsuki starts looking at the other side of the aisle, turning to check his own as they walk down it.]

Maybe I'll have to tell you to turn around and not look at me whenever we argue, then...

[He's still speaking in a sort of whisper, a little nervous that a guard might catch them, though they seem to be remaining on the outside so far.]

If they're anything like what happened with Varian and Zodiac, they'll be watching us all the time.

Luz let out a pitiful meow, taking a moment to groom her whiskers. She didn't like the idea of being a fugitive.

Um. Maybe? My girlfriend can probably keep an eye on us. She has a cat of her own, she might not mind a few more.

I appreciate the offer, but I've got a place to go. My boyfriend also has cats.

[It's the first time he's telling anyone about his recently acquired boyfriend. And he's a cat at the moment. That's sure an experience he would never have had on his bullshit magical shenanigans bingo card...

But the mention of Varian does remind him... it's a weird conversation to have while covered in fur? But an opportunity is an opportunity.]

[He steadily checks boxes. Opening, looking, closing.]

[Did Luz know that? She was pretty sure she didn't. Actually, now that she thought about it, there was a lot about Bakougou that Luz realized she didn't know to begin with. Her ears flickered a little when he mentioned last month though.

She'd been glad that they put their "mess" behind them, do hearing it brought it made her feel guilt all over again].

Ok, Bakougou. Say what you need to say.

[Katsuki's ears pin back and his tail flickers in mild annoyance at the outburst. Why was that so surprising?]

Yeah? I've got a boyfriend.

[He readjusts how he's sitting to get more comfortable. He can tell by her tone she's not thrilled to have this conversation. And he doesn't blame her. He'd gotten pretty nasty... but you get some time and space and...]

Shouldn't have yelled at you.

Then I guess I'll just have to win every argument~

[He teases gently before he hums in thought, checking his own boxes.]

Oh! Molly Pockets! My sister used to have a bunch of these... I didn't know they still made them.

[...he may get a little distracted by the toys, honestly.]

Catsuki (Cat Katsuki)--Closed To Yoosung, post quest with Luz

[Once he made sure Luz was safe with her girlfriend, Katsuki heads for Yoosung's apartments. He is currently a fluffy orange cat. But he's sure Yoosung will take him in. So he scratches on Yoosung's door, meowing at loud as he can to try to catch his attention.]

[Katsuki's scratching and meowing first grabs Rika's and Hana's attention, but once they perk up from where they are napping on his bed while he's organizing school materials, that grabs Yoosung's attention as well.]

...girls? What is it?

[The both get up and head out of the bedroom in a rush to the hall, and he follows them all the way to the door and then hears the new cat himself.

This isn't precisely how he ended up with Hana, as she had literally shown up inside his apartment, so this is... Odder than that to him, somehow.]

What in the...?

[After a few seconds of listening (he can't spy the cat through the peephole, it's too high up), he puts Rika back in her pokeball, and takes Hana back to his bedroom where he closes the door. If this is a feral cat, he needs to keep his own cats safe.

After that, he opens the door to make sure the cat is okay and let it in.]

[When the door opens, Katsuki strolls on in like he belongs there. He heads right for the couch and hops up on it, sitting and looking at Yoosung. He can't communicate who he is. But as long as he can stay he's good.]

Ah...?

[Yoosung watches in silent surprise as the cat comes in and just hops up onto his couch...?

This. This isn't a feral cat. The yelling had him thinking so, but now...

Still. Yoosung carefully shuts the door and follows the cat over to the couch, being slow and easy with his movements like he's afraid he's going to startle the feline. He speaks soothingly.]

Hi there... I just wanna check you out and make sure you're not hurt, okay? Will you let me do that, friend?

[He offers a hand for Katsuki to sniff, as one would do with a cat they're meeting for the first time.]

[Katsuki is not sniffing anything, thanks. Instead he just... stares at Yoosung for a moment before bumping his head against his hand.

Yeah, yeah. That's fine. He'll be very cooperative so he can stay.]

[Yoosung frowns. This is... Unusual behavior for a cat. Which is more weird than concerning? If it was hurt, it would likely be more feral and less calm, more defensive, and almost no matter what it would at least need to sniff Yoosung first to get a feel for whether he was predator or prey, friend or foe.

But apparently this cat has just decided he's friend without the sniffing? Huh. Well... He'll go with it for now.

He sits on the floor in front of Katsuki, giving his head a few gently strokes before he carefully moved to sit next to him and try to pick him up. He's mostly expecting this not to work, though, but the cat has already surprised him like three times and they've only just met (as far as he knows), so.]
