Hey! If anyone has any of those Furby things they don't want, I'm looking to take as many as I can! If you want something in exchange, just let me know and maybe we can work something out, okay? Thanks!

Are you building an army?

But what will that lead to, you studying them? Are you trying to build something specific?

How long ago did you arrive here, or are you a native?
no subject
I've been here a few weeks? Less than a month, though.
no subject
Oh, ok. And you're fine with it so far?
no subject
I miss my friends a lot. But at this point I guess I'm kind of used to just doing what I need to in order to survive in whatever place I find myself in. And I'm sure we'll be together again at some point. It seems like we always find our way back to each other.

[Like MAGIC].
That's a good attitude to have! If the world I came from wasn't in such a bad situation, I'd probably feel the same. What type of world do you come from?
no subject
My Earth is kinda like this, but in the future. I'm from the 27th century. I was traveling in space on a ship called the Raza before I wound up here.
[To be fair, her future isn't such a wonderful place either, but she was happy as long as she was with the people she cares about, and could be helpful to them.]
no subject
I'm a human that learned how to do magic, actually! Have to get it back to its core strength, but I'm working at it, slowly!
Ooh, so you're an explorer then! I'm only at the twenty second century myself! What's that like?
no subject
[An explorer? Well... Not exactly... But how to explain to a stranger from another world all that's been going on in her own? Hmm ]
Well... We kind of explored some stuff...
[Does escaping prison count as exploring? Probably not...]
We've definitely got better technology. I'm not really sure yet all the ways this world, or time or whatever, differs from what I'm used to. It's also kind of complicated because a lot of my memories before a few months ago are hard for me to access.
no subject
[Luz had her OWN story to tell in that regard, but it certainly explained why being here wasn't exactly jarring, especially since the world she left was pretty much just like this].
Only kind of? I thought you said you were on a ship. Are you pretty much stuck on that shop and it's just really big?
Oh, I'm sure! You're from a few centuries later, after all!
Wait, what happened to make you lose your memories? Do you know?

Luz is scrambling to get the story right!
I'm so sorry Luz, space opera plotlines are A Mess

un: why
If you want it, lemme know when and where. Most I'd want is a soda or something.
no subject
Is the Seven Star Mall today okay? I can totally buy you a soda. Here, I'll send a pic so you can recognize me!
[And she does.]
no subject
Sounds fine to me. I can't fit this thing into a bag, so I'll be the guy with the Cerberus furby.
action
While she waits for Roxas to show up, she hangs out in the open instead of any shop, so that he'll more easily be able to spot her. She'd sent an exact picture of what she's wearing so that should help, too. As, of course, does the fact that due to her hair and propensity for bright patterns she just sticks out anyway. (Funny, one might think that would make picking pockets more difficult, but so far that hasn't been her experience.)
To pass the time while waiting, she doodles in a sketchbook, sitting cross-legged on a bench. Her drawings are mostly in an anime sort of style, and they're good. Six different people feature prominently in them.]
no subject
The bright hair does indeed make Five stand out and has him heading right her way. He slows when he sees the artbook, stopping a couple of feet away, though he spies the drawing of six people.]
RazaFive?
[The un was the only name he knows to go by. Proper introductions can happen after he confirms this is the furby wrangler.]
no subject
When Five hears someone say the name of her home out loud, she looks up quickly and looks surprised, before she remembers that she used the Raza as part of her username on the Libra app. There's a very brief flash of disappointment, just because for a second there she thought maybe someone here knew of the Raza or her crew, her family. Then she offers Roxas a small, genuinely friendly smile as she stands up.]
Yeah! Just "Five" is fine. This is our murder-plotting friend, huh?
[She motions to the three-headed toy under his arm, head tilted a little as she examines it from their current distance apart.]
I think he'll be comfortable with me. I've got another one just like him now.
no subject
He shifts his arm as he feels the furby monster slipping, raising his eyebrow. Five is probably a handle of some kind. It's fine. No one ever has to give their real name, exspecially online strangers.]
You got another one of these? That's... why? I don't get why anyone wants these things.
no subject
Well... I'd never seen them before I came here. And I'm really good with electronics. I noticed everyone here acts like maybe they're sentient, so I want to test that and see if I can communicate with them, first of all. I mean, back home I have friends who are Androids? So you never really know. But if they aren't sentient, then I can always just use their parts for other things. I like taking stuff apart and seeing how it works, and if I can put it back together. Usually I can.
no subject
[Don't mind him setting the monstrosity down as he listens to Five talk about it. Roxas sighs and looks almost jealous as he turns his attention to her.]
They're toys. Creepy toys. The ones that still work could be talked to and they'd babble at you, but I don't think they ever did more than that. Don't know why they suddenly got so popular that people made monsters like these.... though if they're sentient now? That's all on Libra. I think. They do some weird things.

[It's the first she's heard of the term. She's a little confused by the way his tone seems to shift once he's pegged her as an Isekai, though. That confusion is easy to read in the way her brow furrows, and her head tilts a little.
She decides not to press on it, turning her attention to the Furby monster he set down, kneeling a little to study it. Yeah, it's pretty similar to the other one. She sets her hand on one of the heads almost like she's going to pet it.]
I don't think their soft fur is really so bad... Not much different than a stuffed animal.
[She looks up at him again.]
So they don't work anymore?
no subject
[Isekai isn't usually the type of anime he'd watch himself. It's just a good term that's been thrown around by some others an himself.
He hums softly as he thinks about that.]
I know some do, but I've watched a video on someone making a longfurby once. Some people prefer the mechanical aspects like the voice boxes to be taken out since after a while they kinda sound demonic. There's people who will restore furbies so they work perfectly... but generally the ones like Mr. Cerberus here are gutted or just have no batteries. You could probably fix it up if someone left the mechanism inside of any of them.
no subject
She nods because the term makes sense to her. It fits.]
Soooo basically he might just be all stuffed animal now? Well... even if he is, having two of them will still make pretty efficient security guards for my apartment, right?
[She jokes with a grin in his direction before she picks the thing up. It's a little hefty to carry, but she doesn't mind.]
Thanks for this, it's really nice of you. I know it was an odd request, especially coming from a stranger.
