The cat guy writes plays?
no subject
No, Husk does not write plays. I could only imagine how disastrous that would be. But I was old friends with Shakespeare.
[He is only using 'was' because they go by a different name now.]
no subject
You really are old.
[HERMES.]
no subject
[Look, he agrees.]
But it always makes for interesting stories.
no subject
You don't look it!
[They are Trying.]

Hermes, relax. I am not angry or even upset at being called old. Once you reach a certain age, it becomes a point of pride. Age breeds wisdom, and all that.
Something as mundane as that won't earn my ire. In fact...you would have to do something rather drastic in order to earn it.
no subject
[It's those Vibes. Those weird vibes that keep them on edge. Except they can't keep the skepticism off their face at the "age breeds wisdom" comment.]
... It doesn't always do that. I can definitely promise you it doesn't.
[COUGHATHENACOUGH.]
I can also definitely promise I don't wanna do that.
no subject
Then it makes you wonder who they think got them to godhood. [Gods only stay that way due to human worship, after all.]
Trust me. I like you quite a bit, and you have nothing to fear with offending me.
no subject
[Oh are we actually gonna dunk on her? They can do that.] It's like she just leaned on that for a million years and didn't do anything new ever. Not even clothes.
Cool. I'll uh. Try and remind myself.
no subject
[Even Odin could be considered a trendsetter. For better or worse.]
I'm not one to throw stones regarding wardrobe--I'm not exactly wearing the clothes of today's youth either, but I'm merely a Snow Fae, not the goddess of wisdom.
no subject
[They pause.]
Ever.
She won't even use a phone. Any phone.
no subject
Judging from you and Lady Persephone, I assume she is the only one who hasn't updated her wardrobe. Or anything else?
[Granted, he was a bit tech-phobic for awhile, but its more because metals don't always sit well with him. Fae things. He got over it.]

I mean, some Idols still have a theme they go with, but like. Eros walks around in a leather harness and I am pretty sure that didn't exist in Ye Olde Greek Times. So, she's definitely the only one like That.
[Among other things.]
no subject
But things such as your athletic wear, or Eros's unique style are still of this era. Athena seems to be clinging too hard to the past, perhaps because she is afraid.
no subject
[Several times.]
... Yeah I can see that.
[Clearly.]
She uh. That's one way to put it, man. Definitely one way to put it...
no subject
[Another pause.] ...Perhaps that sounds too Christian. Hm. I'll have to think that one over.
Anyway.
It sounds like you have some very harsh memories of her. She must've put you through much.
no subject
Please don't say you're my dad, you don't want that kinda baggage.
[Yep, that's the reason totally.]
Me? Not... as much as some people. More like, harshly disappointed in her. And mad. She did kill Calliope.
no subject
[Humans are so complex. He knows they're a god, but only recently so. In his eyes, they're far more on the side of 'human' than 'god' yet.]
...
Killing someone...would surely lead to disappointment, it's true.
no subject
[They don't go still very often. Like, at all, really. But this has them stopping completely, until their pokemon pal licks at their ear a few times. Good dog, Benny.]
I - hey can we uh. Talk about literally anything else? Maybe?
[Persephone is proud of them. She cares. Their friends here are proud of them., and care. They've got this. Focus.]
Ugh, I said that super wrong. I mean like - I thought she was great, and nice, for the longest time. So it's more like I'm disappointed I thought that kinda way? Definitely mad at her.
no subject
You shan't blame yourself for thinking the best of people.
The truth of the matter is, she betrayed that trust. She let you down.
no subject
[They're not sure if they're phrasing it right. They know they didn't do anything wrong. But at the same time, should they have seen what Persephone, Apollo, and even Grace, saw?]
Well. Anyway. It's fine. Grace clocked her in the face and Persephone took over the Chorus.

We all have different roles in life, and because of this, certain points of view are obscured by those roles.
For example, if I am living in a cave and a friend of mine lives on top of the mountain, surely I would not know the sun rises and sets unless I left my cave and saw it for myself. But my friend, who sees the sun every day, would know this before I do.
[A very simplistic metaphor, but he hopes the message gets across. He waves his hand as he stands up again.]
Nevertheless, it's like you said. In the end she certainly got what was coming to her.
no subject
I'm like twenty two. [They feel like they're twelve the way people talk about them sometimes. Granted, saying they wanted to make charcoal probably didn't help.] No, I mean... appreciate the effort, dude.
[They'd rather talk about Athena getting decked by Grace.]
She sure did. It was kind of awesome. Grace just... POW! And she went down. So hard.
no subject
You don't know it now, but give it about 3-4 years and you will look back on this and agree with me.
I am nearing twelve hundred years old, and I still am experiencing this, so trust me. It's a constant through life.
But alas, I am sure that must've felt satisfying to watch.
no subject
[They're trying. They don't want to be seen as The Kid.]
It so was. I wish everybody could've seen it.
