It's summertime in the city, and it is hot. With the fire element's presence, the month of August will be spent in sweltering heat. Nearly every day is sunny, with the sun constantly shining down on the city. At least it's not humid and stormy like July, but it's definitely the kind of weather you wanna take care to stay in the shade and keep hydrated.
Dungeon GatesSince the start of August, there have been new gates appearing outside the city's barrier. Dungeon Gates, which normally are native to the Korean pennisula, are gates that are full of various types of monsters. Should any of these gates be left alone for a week, they will experience a "Dungeon Break" in which the monsters will be able to cross into Kaisou proper. As such, many app users and other combatants have been working hard to get these gates cleared as quick as possible. Luckily, they got plenty of rewards to be found if you brave the dangers, and throughout the month rumors spread about those rewards. There's even a pretty extreme rumor floating around that a special dungeon gate contain ingredients for a potion that can cure any ailment... though one wouldn't be blamed for not believing such a rumor.
While most of these gates have been rated low to medium difficulty, in the middle of August, a singular gate with extremely high danger level has been detected by Zodiac. As per the agreements made by the Black Order in exchange for their copy of the Jumanji game, Zodiac will send out a heads up to the Guardians about the gate- with expectations they deal with it. Of course, while the Black Order are given a heads up- there are plenty of other folks who have also been keeping their eyes peeled on the gates, and will be prone to join them.

Let's Hit the Beach!For those not looking to spend these hot summer days having monsters attempting to eat your face- there's plenty of other options! For those looking to cool down through distraction, the Kaisou Fair is open throughout the month! At the fair there are all sorts of fun things to do: rides both tame and scary, various fair exhibits, carnival games, and of course a whole plethora of fair food - both the traditional and the cursed. Enjoy yourself some funnel cake! Or some pickle cheesecake on a stick! Or maybe even some alligator mac-n-cheese sundae... whatever that's supposed to mean.
Kaisou Beach is full of activity at this time of the year, with a section quartered off for some ocean swimming if you want to swim through the waves to cool off. You can also tan on the beach, or enjoy the various food truck offerings that have pulled up on the beach. It's definitely a good way to spend an afternoon!
And if you're looking for something more, or just to get away? Well, you're in luck! The owners of El Nido (a bunch of human sized sparrows) will be sending out flyers advertising their resort! This month, for only the cost of bird seed, you can enjoy a full week vacation at their resort. El Nido is located in a spirit realm gate near Kaisou Beach, and is a realm that is a virtual tropical paradise. So much so that the weather, while still hot, is just more pleasant to be in compared to Kaisou's sweltering heat.
Enjoy seaside hotel rooms with full room service, the pier side amusement park, and just the perfect relaxing vacation to get away from all your woes. During the day, the resort will provide all the items you need to have a fun day in the sun - such as buckets for sand castles, lounge chairs, giant umbrellas, sunscreen, snorkeling gear, surfboards- basically whatever you can think of that'd be great for the beach? It'll be there. They will also have food vendors that'll provide ice cream and umbrella drinks for you to enjoy.
During every evening, they will set up a bonfire party on the beach on the beach. These parties will include a large bonfire, a massive buffet spread worth of tropical foods, live music with a dance area, and an offering of fireworks that anyone wishes to set off. You can also head to a quieter part of the beach, and enjoy stargazing on such a perfectly clear evening.
Should you wander too far from the resort, you will happen upon a cursed pirate ship. There are lots of fences and signs indicating that this is very much a cursed pirate ship and you absolutely should not go on it. And thanks to a particular Welsh Pirate... they have also added a sparrow attendant who will make you sign a waiver making it clear you very much understand they are not liable for whatever happens if you ignore all their warnings. Which... if you do? Enjoy spending your week vacation on a dangerous pirate venture. Remember, you were warned.
The Spirit BathhouseIn addition to the flyers to El Nido, any non-human (including monsters) or possessed folks will be receiving a formal envelope with an invitation inside. The invitation will announce the opening of the Spirit Bathhouse. It's a place made for beings of the Spirit Realm, where spirits and magical creatures can go in order to be cleansed and relax away from the human world.
Should you choose to go to the Spirit Bathhouse, the gate entrance will be located deep in the forest of Kami State Park, down a seemingly abandoned road near the Amat Hot Springs and through a stone tunnel. As you pass through the tunnel, characters will find themselves unable to take full human form - rather reverting to any monster form you may have to at least some extent. Once on the other side of the tunnel, you'll be greeted with a pier and a long expanse of water. During the day, there's not much you can do besides swim in the water or fish. But at night? A riverboat will come to pick up anyone waiting on the pier and take them across the water.
Once you reach the other side, the riverboat will unload the passengers into a Japanese-style fair ground, full of stalls that is serving a wide assortment of foods that spirits would enjoy. At the far end of the fair ground and across a bridge is a massive multi-story bathhouse. Here, so long as you brought money (preferably gold), you'll be treated to the spa treatment in their public baths. Attendants are available to help you get clean, or otherwise you can just have your own relaxation time- maybe catch up with other folks who've chosen to visit. Almost on any given night, there's a wide array of various beings that are there to enjoy the Bathhouse. If you wish for more privacy, you can certainly rent out a side room in which you can engage with a private bath there, or simply have a meal with you and any companions you wish to spend time with.
Of course, there's more to benefit from partaking in these baths than just an enjoyable and relaxing time. The Spirit Bathhouse is meant to cleanse, so any characters with ailments, especially corruption or magic-based afflictions (such as the flaws Energy Build-up, Healing Pain, or Become Shadow) - will find that these baths will temporarily alleviates or ease the symptoms to an extent. It's not a cure, and the alleviating effect only lasts about three days before the effect wears off... but it's still pretty good.
After your first visit to the Bathhouse, you will find that a quick travel option has been opened up on the Libra app- allowing you to quickly get to the bathhouse without needing the riverboat. However, it'll only be accessible during their open hours at night.
As for folks who are purely human... they will find themselves dealing with a different experience. Many of the beings in the Spirit Realm greatly distrust humans, so a human that wishes to go will have to accompany a non-human that can both vouch for them and promise to keep an eye on them. Spirits who are visiting the bathhouse will often give them a wide berth, sometimes being pretty open about how they don't like humans or their smell. And while they'll take their money and allow them to use the bath? They'll find the attendants much less willing to give them the five star treatment. Finally... humans who linger in this realm will find themselves start to fade if they don't eat something from the realm.... however, the food must be offered to them by a non-human. Should they take food that wasn't offered to them first? They will find themselves starting to turn into a pig.
Try not to think about all the pork items available in this realm. Please.
No matter how you spent the last month of summer, expect it to be a rather peaceful one! El Nido and the Spirit Bathhouse are here to stay, though the Dungeon gates will stop manifesting by the end of the month. Enjoy capturing your own summer memories, as the hot days continue on. After all, knowing this city? You should enjoy these breaks when you can, as they certainly won't last.
The dominant element this month is Fire! Anyone with an affinity to the fire element will find themselves boosted throughout the month. This could mean a boost to their power, having more energy, feeling more inspired with creativity, having better luck on different attempts -- the boost can manifest in all sorts of different ways. By contrast, anyone with an affinity for Wind will be experiencing the opposite. Perhaps their powers will be weaker, they have less energy, they're having a creative block or general worse luck - again it can manifest in all sorts of way and players are free to play with this mechanic as they'd like.

[Jokes on you, he's been furry the whole time.
The idea of a bathhouse made just for the paranormal was certainly interesting, and it had been quite some time since Lycaon had allowed himself a good soak. Holding that invitation in his hands as he walks through, his ears twitch to and fro picking up on the spiritual energy of the place.
Perhaps Lycaon invited you if you're a good friend of his, or you met at the entrance and are looking at the stalls together. Either way, he holds himself with the highest dignity as he walks along. Sometimes, soaking in the sights is just as important as soaking in the water.
In his hand are some gold trinkets he'd picked up to use as payment. He knows what the spirits prefer.]

[Have you ever physically felt fatigue leave your body? It's amazing how it can happen when it comes to hot water. Lycaon slides into the hot spring, letting it go up to his chest as he tilts his head back to let the water and steam work into his muscles and joints. It was like all the stress he'd accumulated over the past month was now being soaked away. His legs are thankfully waterproof and heatproof, so he doesn't bother removing them for something like this.
The idle sounds of chatter catch his attentive ears, as they swivel to pick up certain bits of conversation. It's not eavesdropping if you're yapping, you know?

[It really feels like stepping into an old story, the kind he used to hear from his grandmother before she passed. Long before he learned that magic was real, that these creatures existed and that they often have such a difficult time living in a world even less made for them than ever.
He never imagined he would be one of those creatures himself, but when he steps through the tunnel, the magic washes over him and shimmering white scales spread across his skin, horns sprout from his head, his long draconic tail uncurls leisurely behind him. He usually conceals these features when he's running his shop; being unable to hide them is both discomfiting and freeing.]
Well, then...shall we?
[What a marvelous place...
He's going to take his time wandering through the shopping stalls, looking particularly for any interesting plants or herbal concoctions that might be for sale in such an unusual place. Although he doesn't have any ready source of gold, before coming here he has taken the time to manifest a handful of small gemstones that he suspects might serve just as well.]

[He's not going to be shy about soaking in the public baths, especially when it lets him keep an ear to the local gossip. Still, the most important thing is just the relaxation. He's been working hard on certain side projects lately, and could use the break before diving into anything else. So for now, he's fully settled into a hot bath, hair unbound. An attendant offers a brush meant for dragon scales, and he accepts it willingly, testing the stiffness of the bristles against his scales a little bit at a time.]

Asaba Harumasa | OTA with closed options!
Although he's covered himself with a towel, his bathrobe is very lazily put on if you catch him walking to and from the baths. Curiously, he still has his choker on even when he's getting into a bath. Someone has adapted quite well to the whole thing, and he's happy about it if the swishing tail is anything to go by.
If catching Harumasa at the bath, he'll be soaking contentedly in a medicinal bath. It certainly smells medicinal if nothing else. Very herb-forward. Just looking at him, his fur seems to look a bit healthier as time goes on. More vibrant in its colors. The water seems to take on an almost oily-black sheen, like something evil is being washed away from his entire body.
Otherwise, one can find Harumasa exploring the fair grounds. He's going to various stalls to try different foods and experience different attractions. His eyes are bright and full of life as he gets the nearest friend or waffling stranger to try something with him.]

[It's not every day you stumble out of a battle for the end of a Blight, into another Fade nightmare and then... into a port. A strange, foreign port. There were steps in between, of course, but they're blurred. Everything feels slightly off-kilter. Slightly to the left, somehow. If that were even possible.]
[He didn't even have time to clean himself up. The usually very well-kept Zevran looks disheveled. There's mud on his boots, splatters of blood and dark goop on his armor. He's still holding one of his short swords.]
[Apparently, being an elf means you get the invitation. Even though he'd honestly just staggered into the port. At least it's dark. It feels appropriate. It's easier to dissociate a little if you can't see clearly.]
[... Just don't mind the fact that when Zevran turns to fellow waiting parties, his eyes reflect the light. Like a cat.]

But there's something about that bothering Yusuke, and it takes him some time to realize what it is. He's been in Kaisou and dealing with the nonsense for years now, but for some reason it only just now hit him.
He's not human anymore, is he? He's known this on a subconscious level, but having it made so obvious here, in a place that doesn't like humans but had no problem letting him in...
Yusuke has his sketchbook, because of course he does, but he's not sketching. He's just sitting there, staring into space a little, pencil tapping on the paper.]

[The idea of a night festival isn't exactly unfamiliar to someone whose nation fervently celebrated Lantern Rite, but it's been so long since he actually attended one. The lights are beautiful and haunting, and Zhongli finds himself strolling through like all the other supernatural guests. Golden horns crown his head, a rare sight, and the ends of his ears taper into points. And behind him, swaying beneath his long dark robes, is a copper-scaled dragon tail.
He may or may not have a wind sprite tucked into those robes. Which would explain why he's buying two of every snack he likes and feeding the other serving to his chest.]

[You may have been under the impression that a graceful dragon at a bathhouse means you'd be immune from old man knees, but you'd be wrong. Zhongli, in his half-dragon glory and with brightly-glowing golden tattoos, has one corner of the bath all to himself. And he's melting. He's barely above the water, but still quite polite, just... those knees, man. They stick out. At least it's not feet (unless you're into that).
When he's not soaking, he's lounging outside the water, having some complimentary oolong tea and chatting with whoever dares to sit down at the low table across from him. There is also a game of Go that he's been working on—currently, he appears to be winning. Garbed in warm brown and gold robes with the most old man slippers of all time (crocs with faux fur lining), he is... certainly eating this up.]

[Lyney is clearly one of those cat-types who loves water, if his being here is any indication. He is utterly thriving in the hot springs, soaking and just relaxing. He's also doing the cat thing of being in bizarre positions and being totally comfortable, so you might find Lyney being a normal person with a spine and just sitting around. He might even be doing some small tricks for the younger-seeming spirits.
Or you might find him sprawled over rocks and benches and whatever else in absolutely goblin positions that should not be comfortable but apparently are for him.]

[With a summer full of activity, especially the recent gates, receiving an invitation to a spa is...Honestly not something she finds unpleasant. Really, it couldn't have come at a better time she thinks. Certainly there's the little inn at Hyrule's Lurelin village, but it's just a little out of the way after all.
Not that this is going to be any less out of the way, she thinks by the time she gets to the tunnel, but it'll probably be something different at least right?
It's nice to go somewhere in her summer clothes for once. Just a nice floral green wrap skirt, an equally simple white and green top.
...she likes green, so sue her.
Hooves clop as she walks along to the far end of the tunnel. Something seems to weight itself upon the air, like static, or...something else. She can't determine what, and standing outside at the end of the tunnel as she adjusts her bag, she hums aloud.]

[Admittedly she wasn't sure about baths once she realized it was a bath house. Ever since spring started, water has caused her lower body to turn into a long, glimmering fish tail after all- and that's regardless of what form she's in. So baths have been a touchy subject.
But the bath here is...very large. Even considering the fact she has to share this, it doesn't feel crowded with her tail at all!
For that matter, she's far from the weirdest one in the building, and that does a lot for the self esteem.
As does the fact that she's getting an actual spa treatment, honestly.]
Mmmnn...I need to try budgeting for another trip...

[He told himself he wasn't going to go to this, and he is still standing by the pact he made with himself to not try anything deemed too inedible. But after Edward's review of the Pickle Cheesecake he has to at the very least witness their existence.
He could not be any more disapproving of some of these. Alligator Mac n' Cheese...and Buckeye Lemonade??? If Rina was in this lifetime, she could very likely be narrowed down as the consultant for these dishes.]
I cannot fathom how anyone thought peanut butter and lemonade were a good combination.
[2] Beach | OTA
[It's the last week of his PTO, and Lycaon did promise Zulius that he would make sure to use it for relaxation. A day at the beach seemed like a good way to spend it. Despite it still being relatively hot, he doesn't seem to be sweltering as much under his fur. And he seems to be dressed appropriately for the occasion too, sporting a nice open floral shirt and some white slacks, complete with a solid icy blue neck scarf. A small child had hailed him down to give him a giant red hibiscus flower to put in his hair as well, and...well. He couldn't refuse.
He's mostly just watching the waves roll by, enjoying the occasional wind that flows through his fur as he closes his eye. He can mostly be found under the large umbrellas, and if you happen to be sitting there--]
Would you like a drink? I would be happy to get one for you. [Small tasks were relaxing in their own way.]

[The crystal clear waters of the beach at midday were fine and all, but Lycaon always felt more at home in the nighttime setting, and the bonfire on the beach has lured him to watch its glow while leaning against a palm tree, quiet and content to lose himself in thought. You're free to join him here as a chance to wind down from all the excitement of the past month. A lot sure has happened.

There wasn't much light pollution here, so with the sunset starting to wane and the moon starting its nightly watch, he can be found walking along the water's edge of the beach, head held up and staring at the moon's glow. It was a Waning Gibbous, a time for introspection, and a time to be grateful for what you have. He certainly wouldn't mind the company should someone join him.

Hermes | Stray Gods | ota
[Hermes, while an Idol of a Greek god, is pretty darn human. The heat in Kaisou was nasty, as far as they were concerned, and the idea of going to a tropical resort didn't sound great... except the fee was just birdseed and wouldn't eat into their "Pay Their Keep" fund. So imagine their surprise when the weather is just? Nice?? It's not sweltering.]
[They've taken to the beach with enthusiasm. Board shorts, no shoes, a lightweight shirt and sandcastle supplies. They've claimed a spot with a beach umbrella, and are alternating between sculpting a haphazard castle with too many towers and chugging something colorful from a coconut.]
[Any and all passersby get a cheerful wave of a plastic shovel and an invitation to help build "La Castle De Hermes". Their words.]

[Yep. They're at the amusement park too. In pretty much their beach attire, but with shoes this time, and chanting about a roller coaster. [Hermes parks themselves at the bonfire every night. A lot of the time, they're content to just hang out and chat with people, or raid the buffet. Sometimes they set off a few fireworks, though they seem to prefer the sparklers - writing their name in the light.]

[But they're also extremely fond of the music, and the dancing. They're not half bad, either! All their fidgeting and restless energy more easily focused into physical motion.]

[On the beach, on a lay flat lawn chair, Cotton can be seen like she's never been seen before. On even the warmest days she tends to prefer bundling up - thick sweaters and coats do nothing, and in fact, she actually complains about the cold without them.
But today, for the sake of the beach, that changes.
Grandma has a swimsuit.
...It is, of course, a standard one piece swimsuit that most would see at the pool. But it is weird to see Cotton, in her tiny granny-ness, laying back in one of those instead of her usual coats. The snakes in her hair are enjoying themselves too! They're all draped about on the chair.
She should really cash in her banked vacation time more often.]

[Not to say that Cotton stays awake particularly late, but there's at least some appeal to spending a bit of time looking out at the stars. She has some knitting with her, even! ...Though what she's knitting precisely is, as always, a mystery.

[ ever since he'd started living in Hyrule along the other, the appearance of monsters and other things that didn't respond to any sort of action save for violence was starting to become a norm. Gandiva, which had shown up on a tree outside as if it'd always been there, was his trusted companion once more--However, without the magic of his quivers, he had only six of the strange, twist-headed arrows to his name and had to retrieve them once he'd run out. It made things a little more difficult to use his usual rapid fire, but he was managing just fine. The arrows were sturdy and didn't break on impact with the enemy at least.
He's barely contained his excitement as he and Ritsuka stand in front of one of the 'lower ranked' gates--one that even someone with only some power like him could handle--but getting to fight against creatures threatening the planet felt... right. A part of his life that was missing. He turns his head to regard Ritsuka with something of a smug smile on his face, fingers gripping the strap of his substitute quiver he now carries on his back. ]
I am ready when you are, --Ritsuka. [ he's getting better about not calling her Master, at least. ]
ii. closed to gilgamesh
[ after what was likely a very comfortable success on his first foray into the gates, he's found himself at another one. This time his companion isn't Ritsuka--but instead a rather smug-looking golden man who looks entirely bored--as if being here is more troublesome than it is anything else.
But gods forbid he let someone like Arjuna challenge him to a battle of skill and get away with it.
The energy emanating from inside this gate is a little stronger than the one he'd gone with Ritsuka into. And maybe it's just the Archer being cocky about his first success, or needing to show up the golden king who barely looks like he wants to lift a finger here--but he doesn't yet realise he's in way over his head.
Yet. ]
Am I to assume you have access to your golden gates, or did you really come here completely unarmed.

[ even after the... incident with the gate with Gilgamesh, Arjuna will still go inside other gates--though he'll stick with the D and C ranked ones for the rest of the time they appear in the city.
He's learned his lesson and he's not quite ready for something stronger than these. But he's still determined to aid the city in clearing out the monsters--likely because of the loud voice in his head telling him he needs to help as much as he can. ]

[ never in his life has his senses been quite so... assaulted by the variety of smells and scents that it currently was. he knew that America had its bad reputation with strange and unpalatable-looking foods, but this was something else. Ritsuka had invited him to go to the fair, and while he was most certainly interested in what a 'fair' even was--he wasn't ready to be met with words like

[ Someone was being loud about wanting to visit the 'bathhouse of the spirits'. A certain Passenger in his brain claims to have been at bathhouse run by witches and spirit mediums before--and as a god, he's always been treated sooooo well by them. Surely, they would recognise his son as being someone worth serving, right?
Arjuna was against it, honestly, having heard the rumors that humans weren't welcome in the bathhouse of the spirits, but given Someone was giving him a headache as they complained loudly over and over, here Arjuna finds himself at the entrance to the bathhouse.
....as a very small, six legged kitten who could fit in the palms of your hands.
it seems that even crossing into the bathhouse means losing human form--and if Arjuna had known that, he'd never have come at all and would have just ignored indra's incessant complaining and stayed home.
So now, here this tiny kitten is, trying to weave its way through the crowd and not get stepped on as he tries to figure out a way in--or honestly, a way out.
Maybe he can find someone who might recognise him. His voice alone should be enough, right? ]

In the chamber meant for sealed away dangers, one of the pods is beginning to thaw.
It's difficult to tell, honestly, what caused it. It could have been a malfunction, or maybe the pod had something fluctuate. Something may have broken, or caused a glitch for this one specifically. All that's apparent now is that whoever is inside is currently in the process of waking up— and it doesn't take long at all for them to start hitting the door, trying to push their way out. Which happens about a minute later, the figure tumbling to the ground in the most ungraceful landing he's probably ever done in his life— right on his face. Ow.
Phainon wheezes, a cough settling in his lungs as he struggles to get used to fresh air after being asleep for four years. His arms and legs refuse to cooperate at the moment, him barely getting to his hands and knees and trying to find a way to push himself upwards as a result. He's a mat of white hair and blue eyes, the sun tattoo on his neck a visible indicator that this is someone unique, to say the least of him being put on ice for a time by the Black Order.
The Deliverer manages to finally find the strength to at least haul himself up to wobbly stand on his two feet. His hands lean against... some kind of surface, eyes adjusting to the light and the environment around him.]
Titans. [A beat. Everything looks huge and empty, and his voice echoes out for whoever is nearby to hear.] ...hello?
[Just where, exactly, is he?

So this entire place actually... isn't so bad. As long as he doesn't focus on the fact that they're actually all underwater. Phainon isn't afraid of swimming, nor is he incapable of getting to the surface of the Kaisou harbor— he just wasn't expecting to be literally in the sea upon waking up. It's surprising, really, since the only thing close to this that he can fathom is the Sky Fortress, with Aquila. That, in itself, was a whole different adventure— and as far as he's aware, there's no supposed Titan lurking in the water here.
The people who found him are kind, and more than willing to help him in answering his questions. It reminds him of the residents of Okhema, and how their cheery demeanor, despite a supposed apocalypse, brought about hope for the future. Phainon, of course, finds himself wandering the halls of Meropide, exploring on his own, and noting the differences in what he remembers back in Amphoreus. More often than not he ends up circling back to the automated areas, both trying to make sense of them as well as just try to take them in as something entirely new. It's a bit of a wonder to him.
Phainon is incredibly friendly to anyone who passes by or comes close, giving a smile easily.]
Oh, am I in your way? Sorry. I'm just exploring for now. [He seems rather curious, all things considered.

It takes him a long moment to process what he sees, once he gets to the surface. That this is indeed real, and he isn't still asleep inside a pod. In some ways, the mere idea of him being out here after that time asleep seems almost ridiculous to question— and yet, here he is, all the same.
...How long has it been since he's seen the sky?
A lump forms in Phainon's throat at the thought, to know that he's had four years taken from him, because he is who he is, and he would never bend to something he couldn't agree to. The Black Order has apparently changed hands within the past year or so, and he's not too sure he can trust it just yet. Add onto the fact that he doesn't really know much about Kaisou itself, and it feels all a bit overwhelming and exciting to take on.
Except he's sort of now an obstacle on the sidewalk, and will probably be in someone's way. Trying to avoid him or even bumping into him does startle him enough to get out of his head, however.]
—Ah! [The Deliverer moves quickly to step out of someone's path, looking embarrassed that he's gotten lost in his thoughts again.] Sorry about that, I was distracted. You're okay, right?

Exploring the city is one of his next prerogatives, Phainon choosing to walk the streets until he gets to the opening of Blue Fish Park. Looking at it, of course, reminds him of the entrance towards the Grove of Epiphany— minus the massive tree. A part of him wonders if Anaxa would see any of the similarities, or if he'd be told for the millionth time he'd be relying too much on his ridiculous imagination once again.
...hah, that just makes him miss his friends all over again. Best not to dwell on that for too long.
Thankfully (or perhaps even unluckily), his thoughts are about to be interrupted— as something with a mess of feet and energy comes bounding towards him. Phainon hears it and turns just in time to get hit in the face with the equivalent of a heat-seeking missile in the two seconds he has before contact.]
Wh- hey—! [KERPLUNK he goes, on his back, as he's mauled by this fluffy white mass of a barking excited dog, who lands directly on his chest. The wind gets knocked out of his lungs briefly and he lies there prone, this dog happily licking his face as well as wagging his tail nonstop.

Yanqing! [March yells from her perch, having grabbed hold of something to steady the ladder when she felt the loss of support. She peers down at the white-haired guy who just bumped into her Pokemon by accident, and—
—finds him completely unfamiliar.] Down, it's fine.
[The Kubfu subsides, holding the ladder steady as March clambers down, her heart-tipped tail swaying lazily.]

bathhouse date ( closed )
And once they're back home, they find those invitations to the bathhouse, and honestly after the week they've had a bathhouse trup sounds like an amazing idea. Especially if the waters can help cleanse any lingering corruptions... or shadow goop that might still be clinging to Jinwoo ( so Lapis hasn't been able to steel clamp all her anxieties ) Plus it does look genuinely nice, a place to relax and unwind in peace.
While they do go with the old man - because of course Husk would want to go - they also get their own private room too. It has it's own little bath and is away from the hustle and bustle of the main area, which makes it a little easier to relax as well. For Lapis, at least, her ability to deal with anything majorly social and loud is completely drained.
So Lapis parks herself on the edge of their bath for now, towel wrapped tight around her as she lets her feet dip into the water. She'll let her partner jump in first, head tilted as she awaits his thoughts. ]

...I could probably live here, honestly. In this warm water, for... The next hundred years. [ it was relaxing. he'd been so... tense, for the last few days. every time he slept he woke up with new memories, new faces--new voices to add to what he'd thought was stagnated memories of his past self.
Getting possessed by that shadow version of himself had violently shook memories free and he was ready for it to be over. So he could go back to life as normal, so he'd stop waking lapis up reaching for her in fear that he'd somehow gone back to that past life where he'd been mostly alone. ]
