WHO: Mirabel and the network
WHERE: In her room
WHEN: A few days after the event, late at night
WHAT: Mirabel has some questions
WARNINGS: Maybe near death mention? Possession talk.
[It’s been a few days since the fae realm ordeal. Mirabel’s learned a few things. One, she’s still furry. Two, she can’t sleep. Not after… everything that happened. She doesn’t want to talk about it, not really. But she really needs to sleep. So she has a late night question for the network.]
I’m having problems falling asleep. Either I can’t fall asleep or I keep having nightmares. Is there something I can do so I can get some sleep?
[And then she has another question. She’s very careful about asking this one, so she locks her second question from the rest of her family.]
So I’ve been reading up on possession. [A lie.] It seems like a pretty scary thing to go through. Can anyone tell me more about it? Like… what happens if it happens to you?
[A pretty innocent question, right? She hopes no one sees right through it.]

Not that he’s ever gotten much sleep. Anyways. Possession.]
think it depends on what you get possessed by
different creatures will want different things from you
a vampire will want something different from a god and all that
don’t think that makes one less fucked up than the other
but maybe possession is better than the alternative
which i think is usually death
i think the most important thing to keep in mind is you do what they ask of you lol
don’t want to piss off something that powerful
unless you want to throw your life away for reals when they just saved your ass

How do you know when or what they want from you?

I’m all right. Just dumb nightmare stuff keeping me awake. It’ll probably stop soon enough.
[It has to stop… right?]

Text; Beekeeper
We can try lavender tea? And cherries have natural melatonin in them for sleep. Are you eating too late?
[She. hates. this. If she were back to her full Gift, maybe she could cure it, maybe she could ACTUALLY help, but she feels useless in the face of everything her family is dealing with..]
Text, un: Mariposa
[She doesn’t want to worry her mom, maybe the most out of anyone in her family. So she tries to downplay it a little.]
Just really dumb stuff… I’ll try the tea with lavender.

She had suspected that, of course. She'd been having some problems with her own nightmares, so she isn't entirely surprised that Mirabel was having trouble with sleeping too. But she also doesn't really have anything helpful to say about it, fully aware that how she's been dealing with them isn't entirely the best way.
So, after considering for a moment, she gets up and slips out of her room, quietly making her way through the dark halls of Casita to Mirabel's room, and gently knocks on the door. ]

She doesn’t know who it is until she opens the door - and sees Luisa. Ah… she probably wasn’t sleeping much either, was she?]
Hola, Luisa. [She won’t ask her if she can’t sleep. She already knows the answer. Mirabel forces a weak smile.]
… you can come in, if you want.

1. make sure it's as dark as possible
2. wear earplugs so you can't hear anything
3. breathe in through your nose, hold your breath for like 7 seconds and breathe out through your mouth
4. lie very still and wait for the dark abyss to take you to give you maybe a second of relief from the hellscape your mind exists in
on second thought, maybe don't do 4. 4's a lot. you're probably not at 4 yet.

gonna be conflicting info interspersed with crusty old professors arguing with one another though a lot of our archives are. nobody argues or gets petty like academics do.

Usually, it's because something's on my mind, but I think you have the right idea here. If you can't fall asleep, something's probably bothering you. Is there someone you trust to talk to?

While I am a scribe by trade, my time in the temple of Thoth has helped me to become somewhat familiar with a wide variety of spells. If it would please you, I could teach you one that should banish any meddlesome spirits from your home and bring sleep to you with greater ease.
no subject
[Banish spirits? Would that include the one inside of her...?]
Considering I've tried just about everything with no luck, I'd be willing to try a spell if that would help?
