WHO: Idia & you!
WHERE: The network
WHEN: Early March
WHAT: Iiiiit's time to make a grand debut.
WARNINGS: it's only downhill from here
wooooowwww
i gotta say when a new app got downloaded on basically everything i own i was expecting something more then just some lame social media thing
it's almost embarrassing that you'd find a way to make unremovable apps just so you can try to make people talk to each other
couldn't have made something more interesting or complicated, huh?
tho i guess anything will make money if you put annoying ads on it and throw some sponsored posts around so why not go for the easy route
anyways
gl to everyone who has to deal with this too, i guess

Who he had no idea was living so close.
He almost talks himself out of it more then once, but he forces himself out of the office and into the tea shop. It shouldn't take Kakyoin too much effort to figure out which one is Idia - he hovers awkwardly by the door, tall and thin, fidgeting with the end of his braid and looking around like he's waiting for something.]
no subject
Kakyoin will approach, lifting a hand in greeting.]
Hey.
no subject
Hey. Kakyoin...?
[It's not quite right in his accent, he knows, but he hopes he didn't mangle it too badly.]
no subject
Yeah. Hey, Idia.
no subject
So...
[He tugs at the sleeves of his over-large hoodie, smiling shyly. (Awkwardly.)]
Have you, uh, looked at... the menu yet...?
no subject
[Pausing.]
Want me to order for both of us?
no subject
[God, he's so awkward, Kakyoin is going to regret this, this was a bad idea, why did he agree to this?]
Just a regular milk tea with brown sugar boba would be great, thanks. I can pay for it?
no subject
[Kakyoin will go on ahead to place the order, then, motioning for Idia to come with him.]
no subject
Probably not a good idea to talk about that in a relatively busy boba shop.]
...I was expecting you'd be taller.
[i could not resist the joke i'm sorry]
no subject
Idia's statement does get a laugh out of Kakyoin, though.]
How tall were you expecting me to be?
no subject
[He sounds both amused and nervous, as if he's not sure if he's going to cross a line.]
You just... Seem like the guy who has a kind of presence, and I thought that would mean you'd be at least as tall as I am...
no subject
[He chuckles.]
... But that's only relatively speaking.
no subject
[He tosses his braid over his shoulder family, eyeing Kakyoin.]
How's Kaisou asides from having to look up at people for once?
no subject
[Shrugging!]
It's different.
[--Ah, well, time to place the order for the two of them. He turns back to Idia after.]
And hey, maybe my family will actually stay here this time instead of uprooting us all again to go somewhere else.
[Who's bitter, he's not bitter. He also doesn't particularly believe that and it shows.]
... It'd be nice to stick around, though.

[A frustrating part of growing up a Shroud, asides from all of the expectations placed on Idia and all the stupid things he'd had to learn to fit into bullshit high society (that didn't help him fit in at all, making it an utter waste of time and money) was his family being too paranoid and suspicious of anyone else to let nannies watch their sons as they travelled for Styx.
He knows it's something his grandmother insisted on - and that it's something she picked up from her parents and grandparents. The belief that the Shrouds remain, well. Shrouded in mystery, with no prying eyes to see what they're doing.]
Haven't been dragged out at all since we moved here.
[...Granted a lot of this is also because of the time he nearly died, which he has absolutely not told Kakyoin about, and he has no plans to tell him ever.]
So maybe your fam will stick around, too, or at least let you stick around instead of dragging you all over the fucking place.
no subject
[It sounded like a real pain in the ass--but Kakyoin could relate, even if it wasn't quite the same as how his family had to move all the time.]
Not even once? [Dang.] I sure hope you're right... I'm tired of moving all the time, you know?
no subject
[It's been so nice... Not having to go somewhere as crowded as an airport, being able to stay at home and game or work on his personal and work projects... It's basically been a dream.]
Yeah. The downside is this place is fucking weird, but I think you've noticed that by now.
[They did run into each other on that weird app, after all.]
no subject
I think weird might be something of an understatement. But, you know, it hasn't been boring, at least.
no subject
[Heh.
...Though, actually.]
Did you know about all this magic stuff before this Zodiac stuff?
no subject
[He shakes his head in response to the question.]
I didn't, no. All of this is brand new to me. Did you?
no subject
[And will probably remain inconclusive. Such is the way of things.]
no subject
[Inconclusive or not.]
Though, by this point, it's probably way less impressive to you, huh?
