Ciaoooo a tutti! So, important announcement~ I'm sixteen now, so I got my driver's license this morning. Aaaand~!

[ He flips the phone around again, revealing a mint-green Vespa, presumably still in the dealership by the background. Anyone who knows the boys: this is a big deal. ]

We bought a Vespa! Woohooooo!

[ He turns the camera to face Luca smiling ear-to-ear, standing just beside their new Vespa, wearing a motorcycle helmet and waving at the camera. He whoops excitedly with Alberto on cue, both the boys' energy palpable even online. ]

Yeah-hah! Woohooo~! Haha!

[ Alberto flips the phone around to stand beside Luca, putting his free arm around his shoulders, leaning in close so they're both in the shot, both smiling still. ]

Sooo if anyone wants a ride on the coolest Vespa ever, I've got you.

[ Alberto pauses, then shoots the camera a suddenly serious look. ]

Oh, and if you're one of our new teachers at the high school: We definitely did not skip school today to buy our Vespa, because we're both very sick, and there's no way for anybody to prove we're not. Ahem. Ciao~!

[ Aaand ends the feed on that obviously honest note, even giving a little cough for effect. It's the kid's birthday, man... Whatever... ]

[Luca grins at Alberto, not doubting for a second that their clever ruse about them both being 'very sick' will work, even after this video. Not that it's his biggest concern at the moment, since right now Alberto managed to find something he's even more excited about than school.]

We should test it out! Where should we go? This is going to be so much faster than taking the bus everywhere!

[ Alberto beams at Luca back, barely able to contain himself now that the camera is off and he's not trying to act all suave. Now he's just buzzing with excitement, the same as Luca, laughing laced through his words, even shaking his fists a little because he's just that excited...! ]

We're gonna go everywhere! And we're never taking the bus ever again, Luca, hahah! Dai, andiamo~ Ahah~!

[ He claps Luca on the back, keys in hand, and goes about readying their new treasure for her first drive... The moment they drive it off the lot, it will all suddenly feel so real. As he sits down and starts her up, the motor purring much more quietly than Ercole's, he feels giddiness swell in his chest like never before. When Luca sits down behind him, his grin just widens — somehow. He's smiling so much his cheeks hurt. ]

You ready?

That's right!

[Sure, bus adventures could be fun, but this is going to be so much faster and better! Holding on tight, Luca gives a nod.]

I'm ready!

[ Alberto feels ready to burst with emotion when he feels Luca wrap his arms around him tight. Like everything has been leading up to this moment. He revs the engine, and takes off with an amount of caution he definitely couldn't have managed when they got their first Vespa back in Portorosso. That one also just couldn't, uh... go as fast as this one... but even if it could have, Alberto still shows far more awareness and self-control than he used to before everything they've been through here. Uses his turn signals and everything. Maybe the fact that he took his driving test this morning also has him in particularly good form, just a couple hours after having had to prove to the federal government he's to be trusted with this machine... More than that, though, he's got Luca holding on behind him, wearing their only helmet. He'll get another soon enough, but it's more important to him Luca wears it for now. Precious cargo...! He's still got his wild streak, still lacks some significant sense of self-preservation... But he didn't take off at 50mph hour, isn't driving like an utter maniac — doesn't even make a rolling stop at stop signs! Talk about character development... ]
