June Event Log

June Event
Dominant Element: Light
Waning Element: Shadow
Full Moon: June 2nd - June 4th
※
Summer is here! Gone are the dark nights of May, with the daylight hours stretching until pretty late. The weather is hot, but not unbearably so. This is the kind of weather that one would call "idyllic summer". Those who have lived in Kaisou awhile will know June is the summer month with the best weather, so it's best to enjoy it while you can. And if you are out after the sun has finally set, they will get to enjoy the Spirit Vein at it's most dazzling. The dominance of light element causes the vein to glow brilliantly with all sorts of colors on the visible spectrum, making it appear like an ever changing rainbow that lights up the night.

The city is brought to life with the warmer weather. Residents will find outdoor seating and eating areas bustling and active as everyone comes out to enjoy the summer and socialize with their friends and family. The park is full of live plays and concerts, with people staying out later to enjoy the shorter nights and the beauty of the Spirit Vein. There's plenty to see and do for those who want to explore the city this month.
Though most of the school campuses are closed for the season, Cygnus Academy and its associated PICHU program has opened its doors. Something of a community college, Cygnus offers a wide range of classes, both mundane and supernatural for residents to apply for. Meanwhile, the PICHU program within the academy specializes in preparing and training residents for encounters within the Spirit Realm.
The city is awash with pride decorations and parties, along with a parade going through the town. Not to be outdone, The Vogue has a month-long pride celebration, including cocktails and party nights, queer-centric musical productions and capping off with a drag race competition for all who wish to enter- with a promised cash prize of $5,000 for the winner!

Remember how the flowers were blooming everywhere last month and people weren't concerned? Well, that trend has continued, with flowers blooming everywhere. But now it's not just the flowers that are being affected. Lawns that were mowed just a few days ago look like they've never been cut, ivies are spreading across buildings in a matter of a few days, and their vines are growing thick enough for someone to climb up them. And trees? While it normally takes years for a tree to grow, the trees around Kaisou are growing a couple inches a day, and at heights larger than what they normally should be. If you have a lawn or garden to maintain, you're going to have your work cut out for you, though you can expect some bountiful harvests if you're growing fruit or vegetables. Normal people, meanwhile, don't seem to notice there's anything strange about how the plants are growing, treating it like it's entirely normal to mow their yard once or twice a week.
Meanwhile, those who drink bottled water might notice there's a new brand being sold in different spots throughout the city. Cleansing Spring is the label on the bottle, with a picture of a fountain. For the most part, it seems like any other bottled water you find out there. However, should you take a drink from the water, you will find yourself forgetting memories. How much you forget will depend how much you drink. A single sip will make you lose a few select memories, while downing the bottle will make you forget everything. It's certainly alarming, to say the least. On the bright side, Bubu Pharmacy and vendors in Undertown sell special teas that will undo the memory loss symptoms. Though for some, their memories seem to remain permanently altered...
Just who would be making bottled water with this kind of effect? Looking into the information on the labels will reveal it's all fake information, so that's certainly suspicious.
[OOC note: If you wish to change details about your AU or have your character forget certain memories, you can do so using the water. Please comment here with information on what you are changing. That said, this cannot be used on a Black Order character to have them leave the Order - as the Order will still remember them even if they've forgotten the Order. ]

On the evening of the 5th, despite it not being the proper weather conditions for it, ominous looking storm clouds will form over Kaisou. Those with cloud reading capability will be able to deduce quickly that these are some tornadic clouds The concerns are only concerned when the dreaded tornado siren begin to ring out throughout Kaisou. Best to take shelter where you can.
The tornado will rip through the center of the city. Fortunately the damage is relatively minimal for most buildings, but the civic center gets hit rather hard with the tornado tearing through it before disappearing back into the sky where it came. Anyone who was reckless enough to go look at the tornado for themselves would swear they'd seen various folks and what not flying through it, including a witch on a broomstick. But that's insane, right?
The next morning, the damage will be surveyed. The civic center is wrecked enough to postpone the anime convention until next month, but fortunately there were no casualties. No one at first can seem to make sense where this singular freak tornado came from, until Zodiac gives an alert on everyone's phones.
ALERT: SPIRIT REALM GATE DETECTED IN THE CIVIC CENTER.
Element Classification: Light
Danger Level: Unknown
Designation: Oz
Zodiac has detected a Spirit Gate within the Civic Center. We have confirmation that it was connected with last night's tornado, and we have been reached out to by residents of the gate for a request of assistance. Please visit the Zodiac offices for more information.
If you head to the Zodiac offices, the place seems to be rather busy. As usual there's Zodiac staff that are busy at work, as well as the fuzzy professor who is set up at his own puppet sized help desk on top of the Zodiac help desk. Seemingly in a gesture of goodwill, Zodiac decided to build him his own special spot. Should you ask the Professor what he thinks about the realm, he'll talk about how everyone's heard of Oz, but before this whole Spirit Realm nonsense he always thought the story was meant to be an allegory for early 20th century politics. Which, if you allow him, he'll give a very interesting (but ultimately, pointless) lecture about that.
The Zodiac staff and the Professor aren't the only ones in the office however. There is also a pair of three extremely short men in very colorful clothing holding massive lollipops. It'll be explained that these three are representatives from the Lollipop Guild of Munchkin Land. (It is not explained what the point of a Lollipop Guild is.) As it turns out, the Munchkins have been having trouble lately. The Kalidahs, dangerous beasts that usually keeps to their forests, have been rampaging and causing damage to their city. So they need help with both repair efforts, and dealing whatever's causing the Kalidahs to rampage. In exchange, the representatives offer to have a great standing within the Lollipop Guild ... whatever use that'll be. Zodiac will quickly follow up with offering payment for their assistance.
Now armed with all the information (and some of it useful), it's time to head to the gate. The gate is found within the wrecked civic center. You'll have to sneak past the barricades that have been put up by emergency services to get into the building and head to the main area of the center. Within the big hall, instead of a normal gate, they will find a small brown farmhouse that's been dropped inside the building. Once you head inside the house, the tornado will reappear within the civic center. This time, it picks up the house with you inside. If you look out the window while this happens, you'll see a number of folks calmly flying through the tornado like it's completely normal to travel by tornado. Eventually, though, the spinning of the tornado will get to be too much. Most will either pass out, or get knocked out by flying objects within the house. Those who do manage to stay awake will eventually feel the house crash to the ground once more.

When the house finally makes its landing, those that have lost consciousness will wake up once more. Opening the door to the farmhouse reveals a bright and colorful landscape; a breathtaking sight compared to the dusty browns and greys of the farmhouse and twister. Everything is so vivid and picturesque, it feels like stepping out into a painting rather than a living, breathing world. However, a closer inspection of this dazzling world reveals that all is not as picture-perfect as it initially appeared. Many of the houses are damaged, if not outright destroyed, and it looks as if several dozen bears (or maybe just a lot of heavy machinery?) tore through this place.
As they look around, a young woman in a white dress with red poppies in her hair approaches with a smile. She introduces herself as Princess Ozma, the rightful ruler of Oz. She thanks the app users for agreeing to help and explains the problem: a day or two ago, a massive herd of monsters called "Kalidahs"-- vicious beasts with a tiger's head, bear's body, and lion's claws-- tore through Oz, leaving this destruction in their wake. She has requested help from "the other side of the rainbow", as, historically speaking, it's never not worked out for them when someone from there steps in.
If asked about the rest of Oz, Ozma will assure everyone that the rest of the land is being taken care of thanks to their friends. Munchkin Land just has a few other issues that require outside assistance. She explains that, on top of the destruction in the towns and farms, the Kalidahs are still running wild throughout Munchkin Land and nobody seems to know why. They normally stay in the dark woods of Oz, so this is extremely abnormal and very concerning.
Seems like they all have quite the work cut out for them.
For those who wish to focus on rebuilding and helping the residents of Munchkin Land, Ozma will direct them to a sort of makeshift headquarters in the center of Munchkin Land. There, another young girl in blue and white gingham will introduce herself as Dorothy Gale, Princess of Oz (not to be confused with Princess Ozma), and promptly hand out blue armbands to the helpers. This will mark them as friendly helpers to the residents, as some of them are on edge and wary. Given that the last tornado most of them remember resulted in a house coming down on someone's head, it's understandable.
Dorothy will direct helpers to some problem areas that desperately need some help.
- Mending the Yellow Brick Road: This is the biggest concern, as without the Yellow Brick Road in working order, supplies and travelers from the Emerald City can't reach Munchkin Land. If people will help carry, lay, and test the bricks, that would be wonderful! They'll be rewarded with free lunch.
- Rebuilding Houses: The second biggest concern is housing. At least half of the houses in the city were destroyed by the Kalidahs, and already the residents are tired and stressed out from having to sleep in tents and cots. There's plenty of work to be found gathering up usable supplies, and if you're especially gifted in art or architecture you could possibly even help with the redesign of the houses. Just make sure to take the residents' wishes into account!
- Humanitarian Work: Maybe you're not particularly helpful with all this construction work. If that's the case, Dorothy and Ozma will assign you to help dish out food for the volunteers and Munchkins, work in the first aid tents, or otherwise do things to help the Munchkins not feel like their world's come to an end. Once the Yellow Brick Road is repaired and supplies start coming in, you can help organize those as well.

While rebuilding is important, it's equally important to make sure they don't get attacked again. If you're a bit more inclined towards fighting, or would just like to help with the Kalidah problem, Ozma will direct you to the last place Kalidahs were spotted. If the characters follow the Yellow Brick Road until it goes through the forest, and then pivot to the north - it will take them to where the Kalidah usually reside.
The Munchkins will wave you off with a cheer, glad that they have some heroes about to save them from their newest trouble. Before you go, Ozma will give one last suggestion: if you aren't made of metal, straw, or anything else inorganic, you should maybe get something to help with your breathing. What could that be about?
Eh, it's probably nothing. So you begins your journey down the Yellow Brick Road. It's quite a long trip, but the landscape continues to be stunning. Eventually though, you'll run into a large field of red poppies! As beautiful as they are, they will start to put anyone who needs to breathe to sleep. If you have a mask of some sort, that will help, but your best bet is to just book it or get someone who doesn't need to breathe to help you across. Freezing, burning, or otherwise killing the poppies will also work, but make sure to keep it controlled!

Once everyone is past the field of poppies and have shaken off their drowsiness, you'll reach a deep, dark forest that looks like it came straight out of a horror story. No light makes it through the giant, dark trees and the only sound is the wind and the occasional growl. If you keep following the Yellow Brick Road, eventually you'll get past this to Emerald City. However, for those looking for the Kalidah and their nest, this is your stop.
As soon as you're out of the sight of the Yellow Brick Road, several massive creatures melt out of the shadows. These are the Kalidahs, terrifying chimeras that can easily destroy houses and more. Think fast!
If you choose to run from the Kalidah and go deeper into the forest, they will chase after you for awhile before you reach a certain point where the Kalidah --who supposedly live in these woods--shy and flee away. As you catch your breath, you'll notice the air feels oddly heavy and not like the air in the rest of Oz, either. As you look around, you could swear you see within the shadow pairs of yellow eyes appearing and looking directly at you.
Those who choose to fight will have a tough battle, as Kalidahs are no pushovers. However just when the battle is starting to shift in your favor and you're about ready to fell the beast, a Shadowy monster with yellow eyes will leap from the shadow and jump onto the Kalidah. With a swipe of the claw, the monster will pull the heart of the Kalidah from its chest and absorb it. The Kalidah will vanish into shadows, and from the shadow another shadowy monster will form.
Well. Shit.
As it turns out, the reason the Kalidah have been in such a state was because their forest has been overrun with a new monster that's never been seen in Oz before. These monsters come in all shapes and sizes. They are not only dangerous in their own right, but come in numbers that could easily overwhelm a single fighter (in other words, DO NOT attempt this alone). They also seem immune to normal weapons, only getting affected by magic and enchanted weapons. Light is most effective, though most of the other elements will do. The only one who seems to have barely any effect is Shadow, due to them being made from Shadow ... sorry guys, it's really not your month.
Needless to say, these monsters will need to be cleared out before they can cause even worse damage to Oz. Go deep enough, and you'll find where these things came from. In a clearing in the forest, there is a dimensional tear that has opened up where the monsters are coming from. As you try to get close to it, a massive monster that stands a good 15 feet tall will show itself, guarding the gate with its batons that can alight with flame. You'll need to work together to beat this thing if you want access to that tear.
Once it's defeated, it'll be a matter of sealing the tear. Those who were around back in August, Black Order members, and POKEGO staff will be familiar with the spell. If none of those are around, you can text Zodiac on the Libra app, and anyone with magic proficiency will be able to follow their step-by-step. Essentially, it's a complicated incantation that takes about 3 minutes to cast, and requires holy water or similarly-blessed items. Once it's completed, the tear will be sealed away, and it'll just be a matter of dealing with any shadowy monsters that still remain in this world.

After all is said and done, after the remaining Kalidah are herded back to their forests and the damage from their attacks is fixed up, Ozma invites everyone back to the Emerald City with her and Dorothy for a celebration. Everyone is whisked away and brought to the shining city of green, where there is food and drinks enough for everyone. The representatives of the Lollipop Guild (still no idea what that's about) are there, as are people from the other lands around the Emerald City. Dorothy is eager to introduce the app users to her friends, and her little dog too.
If the partying isn't much your speed, there are some other things to do in the City. There's plenty of wondrous sights to see, from the lavish royal gardens to fascinating horse of a different color held in the royal stables, and even a few interesting shops. There's a spa open to all guests and residents of the Emerald City, though they unfortunately cannot dye your eyes to match your gown.
However, not everyone is completely off duty. The Black Order members will do well to remember that they still have a mission of their own, dealing with the memory-erasing bottled waters. Tracing the magic within the water and asking around, they will find that the source of that water is coming from Oz. Or, more specifically, from the Forbidden Fountain in the Royal Palace of the Emerald City. Rumor has it that anyone who drinks from this fountain will lose their memories, and if anyone is bold enough to try it, they will find their memories getting completely wiped. So who in their right mind would be bottling this water to sell?
If they stake out the fountain, during the dead of night when no one will around, they will get their answer. A human man will come out from the shadows and start bottling the water. If you confront him, he's easy to take down, but he'll immediately start trying to talk his way out of it. As it turns out, he used to be a resident of Kaisou - a rather notorious con man within paranormal circles known for peddling fake cures and dangerous scams, regardless of who it harms. Last fall, he managed to slip through a tear into Oz after he was trying to escape punishment from a con involving tricking people into believing he was Jesus by turning Kaisou's water supply into wine. Upon pressing, he seems to hold no remorse about any of his acts. In fact, his entire plan seemed to be another hair-brained scheme to try to get people back in Kaisou to forget his identity, so he can go back to his old stomping ground and con them again.
You have your orders, and it's clear this man is a repeat offender. Just what will you do?
As the party eventually starts to wind down, Ozma gathers all of the guests and once again thanks them for their assistance in stopping the Kalidah rampage and fixing the tear but now it's time for everyone to go home. With a wave of her hand, everyone's shoes suddenly become magical, glittering a striking ruby red color in the light of the city. Or maybe they're silver? No, wait, they're definitely red, no, that's silver--
Color debates aside, Ozma explains that all one has to do in order to get home is click their heels three times while saying "there's no place like home". Should they wish to come back while the gate is open, they simply have to click their heels three more times and say "I want to go to Oz", and they will find themselves teleporting straight back into Munchkin Land - no tornado required.
Back in Kaisou, the Pride and summer celebrations continue on. The Anime Convention will sadly have to be delayed until next month, but that just means you have more time to work on your cosplays. However, there is still the troubling matter of the tear and the mysterious monsters that appeared in Oz. Zodiac will express their own concerns about it, and say they will look into the matter. Guess you got no choice but to wait to see what they come up with.
The dominant element this month is Light! Anyone with an affinity to the light element will find themselves boosted throughout the month. This could mean a boost to their power, having more energy, feeling more inspired with creativity, having better luck on different attempts -- the boost can manifest in all sorts of different ways. By contrast, anyone with an affinity for Shadow will be experiencing the opposite. Perhaps their powers will be weaker, they have less energy, they're having a creative block or general worse luck - again it can manifest in all sorts of way and players are free to play with this mechanic as they'd like.
Characters will be allowed to keep their shiny new slippers and they can be used to easily go back and forth into Oz throughout the month! However once the month ends and the Spirit Gate closes, the shoes will lose all power.
The original OOC plotting post for this event can be found here. Another Zodiac Post will be going up June 15th to serve as an intro post for new characters and allow characters to react to developments over the network.
Jun Nightroad | Tokyo Xanadu | Mostly OTA
[So much for summer vacation meaning a break from studying. Being part of the POKEGO apprenticeship program meant he had more than enough studying he had to do if he wanted to stay on top of everything. And since it's easy to get distracted at home where all his anime was, the best place he found is the lounge area at Cygnus.
So he can be found there, reading through a stack of POKEGO related materials. A minty green Rowlet sits upon his head as he studies, trying to nap in the sunlight from the window. He's also got a pretty massive cup of coffee next to him, hoping that'll be enough to keep him awake and alert.]
II. Repair - Munchkin Land: OTA
[Jun is not great at socializing, so he's going to let everyone else talk to the Lollipop guild and the other munchkins. He is however going to do what he can with helping out. Despite his small stature, he doesn't have any trouble with the manual labor- carrying supplies to and from where they need to go. Nor is he too bad at nailing things in with a hammer.
When they get past the point of major repairs, he goes for a more artistic angle, taking some paint cans to help repaint the houses and add little details such as paintings of flowers and other nice things.]
III. Hearts of Darkness - The Forest: OTA
[Of course, the repairs won't mean much if the Kalidah keeps acting out and destroying things. So Jun agrees to travel and find out what's going on. When they reach the part of the road where they're meant to go into the forest, he seems to hesitate. His small white wings on his back (thanks dove curse) even flutter a bit anxiously as he senses something.]
...There's a troubling presence in those woods.
[That's the best way he can describe it]
IV. Cartography - Kanto Realm: Closed to POKEGO
[Another part of his POKEGO training was the group assignment of mapping out the Kanto region. After gathering all the camping gear and mapping equipment they could afford, the apprentices set off to the Kanto Realm to finally map out the place.
While Jun was certainly a novice with cartography, he was a hard worker and did his best to learn. Not only that, but he's one of the last to tire out thanks to his own abilities. Eventually though, it is time to make camp. In the late afternoon, they come across a clearing that seems devoid of any hostile pokemon, and isn't even too far from a water source. Jun will send out his rowlet to check it out, calling out when the bird flies back to him. ]
Mm, this should be a good place to set up camp.
[OOC: go ahead and treat this like a group thread! threadjacking and what not ahoy!]
V. Wildcard
[Got another prompt for me? Hit me up! ]
Cartography!
As they're setting up camp, he lets out his Pokemon so that they can help out a little. Reika the Swanna wants nothing to do with all the noise, so she tends to stay back away from people. However, his little Fuecoco follows along behind Ryouta like a no-thoughts-head-empty-fire-croc duckling. This presents a very unique challenge to the brunet hitching up their tents.]
Koukou, you need to stay back a bit or I might step on you!
[The Fuecoco just makes a trilling noise, but it sounds more like he's just happy to be acknowledged by name than registering what the fuck Ryouta said.]

He's gonna' be right there with his mint-coloured friend, most definitely with that brilliant red coat of his spattered with many different kinds of paint as ... he didn't really dress for an occasion where he thought he'd be dealing with manual labor. ]

CLOSED TO SHIO: Mission!
Another day, another mission. By now, Jun was pretty used to traveling through the Kanto realm, so he feels pretty fine traveling with Shio. He's not sure of what Shio's own capabilities were in this lifetime, but he didn't think it'd be too much of a risk.

Jamie Carter | Harry Potter
(While he had just barely arrived at Munchkin Land, Jamie can tell that things have been hard on the citizens that he immediately gets to work in getting the Yellow Brick Road fixed. The devastation the city is suffering from twists his stomach as he gets briefed on what he can do to help from Ozma and Dorothy. So he definitely wants to lend a hand and help in rebuilding Munchkin Land.
Luckily he does have some experience doing volunteer work in the past so he didn’t waste time pouring all his efforts into carrying the bricks and laying them down on where the missing bricks used to be in. If he is not on road rebuilding duty though, he can be seen pushing carts of supplies to a couple of damaged houses that need a lot of patch work and repairs.)
Dealing with the Kalidahs + Hearts of Darkness
(The poppy fields have been a pain to deal with with him fighting off the need to nap but eventually he was able to get past that cursed field and towards the forest. The air gets increasingly chilling (though he is mostly unaffected) and the howls becoming louder. Jamie soon notices some yellow eyes staring at him that he turns around to tell the person next to him of what he just saw.)
Those eyes definitely scared me with how intense their stares are. And I have a feeling that we’re not alone in this forest.
Danny Fenton | Danny Phantom | Normal AU
Danny was starting to feel much more like himself. And that meant that he was back to watching the night sky. During the past month he'd taken up a projet to wrap his telescope so that he didn't have to worry about touching any iron in the casing, and it was time to test it out.
For several nights in early June he sets up his telescope in his front yard, and aims it at the spirit vein. Company is welcome.
Munchkinland: Mending the Yellow Brick Road:
Danny was fascinated by Munchkinland. The bright colors, the plants, the houses... It was all unlike anything he'd ever seen before. Although he was annoyed that his wings had popped up again the moment he'd gone through the gate. They got in his way constantly.
But more importantly, this place needed help. Danny immediately volunteers to help carry bricks. He flies back and forth between the road and supply of bricks, tapping into his ghostly strength to carry heavy loads.
Follow the Yellow Brick Road:
Danny had kept that hint in the back of his mind along the trip. He didn't like thinking about it too much, but he'd noticed a while ago that breathing was something he didn't always do when he was a ghost. He- Well, he could breathe. But it was really only out of habit.
And so when he notices his companions start to yawn, he switches to his ghost form and cuts off his breathing. Then rushes over to check on them.
Follow the Yellow Brick Road
Unfortunately Jamie is not part ghost or part metal or part straw as soon as he approaches the poppies, he starts to yawn and he is about to doze off. His eyes begin to feel heavy and the temptation to sleep increases as he tries to fend off the attempts to sleep in this cursed poppy field.

It's Luz, who's still getting used to walking around and not being able to fly. She did notice the vein though, and was hoping to somehow get a closer look.

Zulius | Centaurworld | OTA
Zulius is largely very busy with the Vogue this month, but he does take some time to himself, too. Even he knows that overworking himself won't end well, so he'll be checking out what else Kaisou has to offer for Pride. He also got a pretty amazing parasol that he'd found propped in his apartment. He knows, intrinsically that it's his, something from his past life. And at first, he thinks it's just a regular ass parasol. Turns out it's not, and the second he opens it outside, sparkles flow out of it and the parasol takes itself (and a shrieking Zulius) skywards. It hovers in the air for a moment, Zulius screaming and hanging on for dear life before it glides back to the ground. Zulius lands in an awkward pile of limbs on the ground, before looking at his parasol.
"Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. This is some Mary Poppins shit."
A little oxpecker bird- the palisman the shopkeeper assured he needed - flits down from the sky, landing on his shoulder. It cheeps and chirps to him and Zulius finds it weird he can understand it. He can't understand any of the other magical pets this place has foisted on him, but he understands the bird and that's...unexpected while he's trying to process the whole parasol thing. Unfortunately, he doesn't really get time to process the bird either, because it sits on his shoulder a certain way and a bunch of memories comes bursting into life.
This isn't the first time a bird creature has sat on him like that. There was Ched. As with all his herd, he's only ever seen a picture of the finchtaur thanks to Vergil's magical camera-but now his mind if flooded with memories of a brash, argumentative tiny birdtaur who thought the absolute world of Zulius despite that fact. Zulius just stays on the ground for a moment, trying to re-orientate himself after ALL THAT. His first thought is just holy shit, how did I forget about CHED? He plucks the bird off his shoulder and grins at it.
"I'm gonna call you Chedders," his grin turns a little more wicked, and oh hey if you were here to watch all that, he turns to look at you- clearly delighted. "'Cause he'd hate it."
Tornado Alert
Zulius can't resist checking out this world, even if their means of getting there is considerably...weird. Honestly, being picked up by a tornado would be a worrying experience for anyone, but as they swirl up into it, another memory hits Zulius like a freight train. Honestly, eventually passing out is probably a blessing and when he comes two, the haunting you are now one our thousands of souls keeps repeating in his head, and he's getting the HOLY HELL out of that house as quick as his hooves can take him.
"NOPE! No! So hey, turns out that's the SECond time I've apparently been sucked into a magical tornado and I think that is TWO TIMES too many!!"
Follow the Yellow Brick Road
Zulius does, unfortunately, need to breathe. Breathing is an important thing he has to do in order to stay alive. So it isn't long while tracking through the field of poppies that his eyes start to feel heavy and he might start to...drift as he walks. Probably right into you, oops. He makes a soft little snort, shaking his head clear.
"Ugh, soz. Hey, is this place making you feel weird? It's making me feel weeeeiiirrd."
Aaaaand down he goes like a fabulous ton of bricks. He could...probably use some help here. Or you could leave him sleeping in the middle of the field and wait for something to eat him. Honestly, that's fair.
Aftermath
The second those magical shoes appear on everyone's feet, you will hear high-pitched squealing coming from Zulius. Is he hurt? Is something attacking him? Nope, he's just absolutely delighted there are little shoes on his hooves now. How the hell did they even fit there? How did he end up with an extra pair? These are not questions he's asking of the shoes that magically appeared on his feet because he's just having the best time right now, bouncing on his hooves in delight.
"OH MY GOOSE, LOOK AT THEM!!! THEY'RE SO SPARKLY AND THEY ACTUALLY FIT!!!"
Wildcard: [Want something else? Hit me up!]

Follow the Yellow Brick Road
Luz really should have had her mask on like she did in Latissa, but she had actually known that she needed to cover her mouth and nose, and had no idea she needed to do that here. She did note that there was an awful lot of one flower in a field though, and the more she walked about in it, the sleepier she was starting to feel. She probably WOULD be going down for a nap when she stumbled over the sleeping Zebrataur.
"Z-zulius? What are you doing out here?"

Moxxie | Helluva Boss | OTA
If there was one thing Moxxie was absolutely not going to do, it was go to the Zodiac offices. He'd gone to a lot of effort to make sure they still thought he was dead, and he certainly is not about to correct that notion. He's certainly not about to correct that notion in a way that places him right in their clutches.
However, he will absolutely go and check out the new gate. And, once he realizes where he is, Moxxie is positively giddy, even though there is a moment where he pauses when it registers that he's definitely shorter than any of the munchkins aside from the children. He loves musicals, though, and the Wizard of Oz is no exception, so it doesn't take long for him to go back to being swept up in the excitement. He eagerly agrees to help. While he's too small to be any good for hauling bricks, he's perfectly capable of laying bricks, so can be found carefully placing the bricks along the road while alternating between singing 'The Lollipop Guild' and 'Follow the Yellow Brick road'.
[Follow the Yellow Brick Road]
Of course, Moxxie, being Moxxie, has brought his guns, so when he hears he can help by going out and fighting something, he immediately signs up. Then immediately after he's told he should get something to help him with his breathing.
"Uh...help me with my breathing? What does that mean? What would help me with my breathing?"
Should he be concerned? He feels like he should be concerned.
[Hearts of Darkness]
He managed to get past the poppies, and he managed to fight off the Kalidah, but now he's facing something else. Swarms of something new, something that can kill Kalidah with barely any effort. He raises his gun, heart pounding but able to hold his gun steady all the same, and fires off a shot.
No effect.
His heart drops.
"My gun doesn't do anything! I...my powers have been gone since I died, I don't have anything other than my guns!"
He hopes the others there fighting these things have something up their sleeves that will work, because otherwise he's certain he'll be dying again.
Hearts of Darkness
"Welp, we're getting you the heck out of here! You're not getting killed again!"

Re: Luz Noceda | The Owl House | OTA
A wild concept, and Alberto was not a fan! But Luz had two Pokemon now, and she still was curious to learn about magic, and how people utilized the elemental magic they had in Kaisou, even if she did prefer to use her own glyph magic. Luz has signed up for some magic classes and a crash course on Pokemon, so her Lurantis and Kriketune won't be neglected in her studies. You can see Luz struggling to try and keep up with classes in the library right now, several books bookmarked with several different colored tabs. Her Pokemon were helping her of course, serenading her with what sounded suspiciously like Poekmon versions of lo-fi tunes.
II. We Welcome You to Munchkin Land/Rebuilding Houses
Luz was very taken by Ozma, and certainly feeling impacted by the slight the poor Munchkinlanders have had dealt with them. As a result, Luz pledges her efforts to help reconstruct housing and is actually quite good at coming up with new ideas that can be used, drawing up several plans and discussing with architects on what is and isn't feasible with the materials they have. Luz is actually looking very competent here, with a pencil tucked behind her ear and surrounded by blueprints.
She is keeping busy! But you could help with a little distraction or even a bite to eat!
III. Heart of Darkness
Is Luz actually feeling much, MUCH more productive than usual this month? Yes! As it turns out, her affinity with Light actually is in her favor for once, now that she knows who the true perpetrators of the chaos happening with the Kalidahs are: Heartless.
And Luz finds that while she could use her ice, vine and fire glyphs, what actually is working out best is her light glyph, taking out dozens of little heartless the stronger its cast! Luz is working fast to cast them all around the forest, but as she gets closer to the tear (and wondering how she's going to fix it) she comes across the mammoth heartless, and a few light spells is only enough to injure it, not enough to stop it fully.
"Oh come on!" Luz says with clenched teeth, jumping out of the way to narrowly avoid the spinning maracas of fire that nearly singed the back of her leg. Man, but this enemy was tough!
Hearts of Darkness
But it wasn’t long before she could see Luz dealing with the mammoth heartless and her attempts to stop it. She is not sure of what to do right now, but she does her best to reach out to her and ask if she can do anything to help.
“Luz! Is there anything I can do to help in stopping this thing?”

Ash Carbide/Ash Cabott | OTA
Poppies
[Ash lies face first in the field of poppies, snoring up a storm. His switchaxe is out in its scythe mode, and there's some beheaded poppies around him, so it's clear he was trying to cut a path. It just didn't work.
Help?]
Dealing With Kalidah
[Ash has not been having a good couple of weeks, if he's being honest, and he's trying really hard to get it back under control. Hopefully fighting these...whatever the fucks will help. Hopefully.
He swings his switchaxe around, slicing down two approaching kalidahs before whirling around to land a hit on third--only to be caught short when the weird shadowy creature absorbs it instead.]
Oh, that ain't good. After it!
Aftermath
[Ash cannot be found in the party, once he's got his shoes. If anyone wants to try and find him, he'll either be in the forest where the kalidahs were trying to find something to fight or back in Kaisou, trying to find someone to fight. Maybe try and stop him?]
Poppies
This is not optimal.
Pat takes one look at Ash snoozing away facedown in the field of poppies and... keeps his distance for now. That being said, he is going to slowly, carefully start burning the poppies, a few at a time.
He'll only go to Ash's side once he's cleared a path to his boyfriend and cleared the area around him. Maybe try to drag him out of the field.]

[He blinked, then blinked again. Then lowered his sunglasses to make sure he was seeing this clearly.]
Oh my god, Zodiac was actually serious.
[That said, once things actually started in earnest Waver could be found taking careful inventory of supplies in the first aid tents. Because when Judy Garland asks you politely to do something, you damn well do it.]

[As one proceeded through the forest, they would more than likely hear the sounds of combat; mostly a tremendous crashing sound, like something was harshly striking ground, trees, and opponent indiscriminately. Through the darkness, one might catch a flash of silver before the fight descended into an uneasy quiet.]
[...Followed very quickly by a curse, sound of breaking glass, and a bright flash of light mitigated by the thick trees. As that faded there was a bright streak of orange in the form of a small bird flying very quickly in the opposite direction, calling out:]

No big shadow monsters taking over the land and certainly doesn't remember giant tiger-like beasts crawling out of the literal infinite darkness to attack people.
He'd managed to get away for now thanks to the fact that he's quick as hell on his feet, but.
That crash of glass and flash of light gets his attention instantly.
Even if it didn't, a certain fucking tiny chicken flying at him to RUN would have.
Maybe it's because he's used to running, he's instantly turning on his heel on a dime--but.
Yeah. He recognises that bird, and he's following after it immediately, like a beacon in the darkest night. ]

takame kesi | ffxiv oc
[So if not for one of Takame’s jobs, he wouldn’t have a clue what the Pride celebrations entailed. His realm had nothing like this but it also didn’t have rice cookers (yet?). He was going to be very involved in his work place’s festivities but otherwise found himself curiously peering at the performances in town and in the park.
Aside from that, he will also be found making preparations for formal teaching sessions at Cygnus academy. He had everything he needed supply wise, but he was the sort of person who only gave his best efforts in everything he did. Even as a simple self defense teacher everything would have his strongest efforts put in.
He’s taught before but he’s also never taught formally. So that’s the real struggle he’s having.
Lessons were… planned right? So he can be either found where he would soon to be teaching or in some other common area with a jumble of notes. His Eevee is also here, say hi!]
ii. if i only had a backbone (munchkin land)
[So yes, Takame was a man more inclined to help on the combat side of things. However, as we all know and love once someone asks this man to do something he will do it. Which means everything.
He isn’t the best at rebuilding or remodeling homes, but he can carry loads and loads of supplies back and forth between those who are and also the ones repairing the yellow brick road. He’s also resident errand boy for giving food and such to others who are helping as well.
He’s probably got a bunch of shit in his arms and hanging from his tail and horns, someone tell him to stop.]
iii. king dont hearts (heart of darkness)
[If you thought being overworked would stop Takame from the combat scene you’re dead ass wrong! Maybe you were by his side fending the individual ones off and he provided you with a strong offense and occasional shield as he’s found himself less in need of them since the whole dragon thing.
But considering the fact that his gunblade went through them as if slashing through air, he found himself at a loss.]

She would have preferred to help tackle one of the other tasks that needed doing, but the residents were more than a bit wary of her despite wearing one of the armbands that marks her as friendly; some found her "hat", the pink dragon head that it is, pretty unsettling. She doesn't blame them, she'd have been pretty unsettled by the sight too.
She pauses her work when Takame passes by, absolutely loaded down with what looks to her like an excessive amount of stuff. It looks like it's some sort of accident just waiting to happen.]

Fukuda Tamotsu | ID: INVADED | OTA
[As the title says. Is Fukuda doing this intentionally or is he just failing to connect the dots somehow? Who's to say. If you encounter him after he's drank some, you'll end up in one of two potential situations.;
1A: Fukuda is doing fine!! Well, mostly. He looks a bit worried, probably because he's crouched down picking at some grass in the cracks in the sidewalk. If you stop to consider him a moment, perhaps because of his odd appearance, he'll look up and ask;]
This might be a weird question, but are we dead?
[1B: Conversely, you're getting a much more frazzled Fukuda;]
Hey, you gotta tell me, I'm imagining there being a hole in my head, right?
[Oh dear!]
2: Construction in Oz
[This one also has two options because I'm indecisive. Fukuda's no good at fighting, so he figures he'd be better served to help out in Munchkinland. With his memories intact, he's taken to using the summer weather as an excuse to wear a straw sun hat that doesn't go with his outfit at all. Hole, what hole? You'll find him in two levels of usefulness.
2A: While coming short of actually critically injuring himself, Fukuda is clearly not suited for construction work either, whether it's dropping bricks on his own foot, tripping and spilling an armful of supplies on the ground. Maybe you'll catch him right after he's accidentally driven a nail down through a loose corner of his shirt that got untucked. Maybe he's scrambling because some exposed debris caught the edge of his hat. Whatever it is, he's muttering to himself;]
This is why it's better to just stay inside...
[2B: At some point, though, his eye for numbers was uncovered by pure chance, and he's been put out of harms way into a more planning role, drafting up plans for particularly nitpicky reconstruction jobs. If you're on construction crew, you might be running into Fukuda handing over a diagram that is in no way well drawn or profressional, but has very exacting specifications.]
Ah, for that building over there, I think this should work for what they're asking for. You'll have to cut some things on a weird angle but if you do it that way it'll work out. Does all my writing make sense?

Yasuho Hirose | JoJolion | OTA
[In general through the month, Yasuho can be found enjoying the break she gets after her exams are finally over with. She's celebrating Pride of course- how could she not! But as someone who doesn't really see herself anywhere on the spectrum
yet, she's contented herself to just putting some rainbows on, and going from there.Of course, school isn't quite out for her. Probably. The Cygnus Academy was suggested to her, and considering she has a magic phone and a magic...whatever Paisley is on top of the pink hair, she's flipping through some pamphlets around the campus while she sips on a slushy.] Maybe this one..? Or....oh, I think Josuke mentioned something about this...
[Advise? Interrupt? Crash into her and spill the slushy? She'll never see it coming, something about this month just feels like it can't go wrong after all.]
{TORNADO WARNING}
[Update. It went wrong.]
Oh my god, oh my god...
[A tornado! Has hit! Kaisou! Yasuho took shelter. She heard cackling in the air, and wondered if maybe something had been in her drink earlier. The vision of a witch was briefly seen, and then of course just to prove that yes, everything Was real, a notice from Zodiac buzzed into the phone.
Truly, her groan is the loudest it has ever been. But at the same time...
...The Wizard of Oz...?]
...Okay...I have to see this.
[She just, has to. Her friends- those close enough for a casual text anyway- receive the following notice: Checking Zodiac for latest news.
Maybe they'll respond to the text. Maybe they'll meet her there.
What's for certain of course is that she doesn't intend to actually go anywhere. Beasts on rampage? No thank you, not her scene. She's staying home, where it's nice and safe and-]
DESTINATION TRACKED. IN 100 METERS, TURN RIGHT.
[............Paisley wouldn't.] Paisley...are you going to make me go to the gate...
IN 100 METERS, TURN RIGHT.
[...Paisley WOULD.]
PAISLEY..!!
[Perhaps one messaged. Perhaps one found her earlier in the Zodiac building. But, more than likely, one has also found her outside of it, shouting at her phone.]
{WELCOME TO MUNCHKIN LAND}
[Well! She's HERE NOW.]
...I wish I could flush this...
[The statement immediately sends a shudder down her spine, not that she can guess why beyond the fact that it would probably-
No, definitely, it would definintely kill her. But Paisley's incessant demands have brought them to Munchkinland, and she's pretty sure she has no way home for now. The people here need help. That much, Yasuho can see even without the messages and information she acquired. But for all the sourpuss attitude coming in, it doesn't take long looking at the people and the ruin to soften up and buckle down.
She might be no help with buildings, but she's at least good for the basics-
Serving food, for starters. That's something she can easily do! And first aid is...well. Not really something she's great at, but she can follow instructions and tie a bandage!
(Occasionally, she pulls out her phone and wonders if maybe that gem could do something, but probably not. Probably? Hm.)
And on top of that...] ...It will be okay. That's a promise- a lot of the others coming to help...they're really impressive, so you can trust them.
[Maybe it's the mood of the month, maybe it's her classes paying off, but she's apparently just doing really well to lift the Munchkin's spirits! Go Yasuho!
Please don't make her job harder,]{WILDCARD - THE KALIDAHS}
[Manage to drag Yasuho off into danger? Come up with something to do so, and we'll play things out from there. Otherwise, it's assumed she steered clear of all...That.]
{THE GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER}
[When all is said and done, it's time to rest and recover in the Emerald City. Yasuho attends exactly...One party. Maybe two, if someone makes her forget how awkward it felt at the first one. She attends it in a dress of green, a drink in her hand, and ultimately sighs because she sadly feels like a rather strange watermelon candy. This is really, really not her color.
The spa though. The spa is much better.]
Oh...I could never afford this sort of thing at home...
[The spa menu is SO much better.] What do you think you'll go for..? I was originally thinking of a manicure, but it feels like a waste to just do that... [She says, not even looking up to see who she's talking to.]
Happy Pride!
And, well, he might look a little different than usual--after all, his usual clothing colors definitely don't usually include purple or gray. Or any particularly large amounts of white.]

Eunie | Xenoblade Chronicles 3
[Right. Eunie loaned her help where she could with the rebuilding effort and patching anyone up who got hurt fighting the Kalidah’s. She had work to do but she wasn’t gonna ignore the people right in front of her.
But when the time came and they’d made it to the Emerald City, she perched somewhere high using the scope of her rifle and her otherwise sharp eyes to wait and snuff this guy out. Sure enough, the boring as all fuck waiting paid off and some dude that fit Velvet’s description sneakily poked his head out and tip toed by the fountain to start his work.
It was then she dropped from her perch in pursuit and sent a call out to her team.]
Found our guy.
ii. who wants to live past 10? (wildcard)
[So maybe you were one of the people she healed up in Oz or helped with construction, you’re free to find her doing one or both of those things.
Outside of that and after all was said and done, she had the worst taste in her mouth for how the sealing spell turned out. They didn’t need to kill the guy but the way it altered his brain just made her skin crawl in disgust and long running fear. To say nothing of the mark on her chest that has a hint of red at the start of the year and is now almost completely grey.
To not think about either of those things she could either be found outside Arcadia apartments tending to the Glaze Lilies or doing some retail therapy at a shopping district. She could also be found around Undertown in various apothecary circles with a bit more urgency.
Basically it’s the wildcard option. All of these Eunie will be noticeably more somber and nervous about something and just generally not herself.]

Josuke Higashikata | OTA
[Construction work is... fine, but honestly, it's not where Josuke shines. There's plenty of people on that anyway, so he volunteers to help out in the first aid tents--he's a medic, anyway, after all! As it happens, this probably was the overall best choice, because a lot of his time is being spent chatting with the various Munchkins as he helps them out. It's clear he's putting a lot of them at ease, too.
Whether he's helping out at the first aid tents or organizing supplies later on, he'll perk up and lift a hand to wave.]
Hey, need something?
No More Green Than Any Other City
[Well, Josuke's not not a party guy. And for what it's worth, he does spend some time at the celebration. He takes some time to mingle with people--especially with the representatives of the Lollipop Guild, he does still have a job to do in that respect, after all!--but he takes breaks pretty frequently.
He might approach if he sees anyone wallflowering, though.]
[... Or maybe you'll catch him once he's finally ditched the party? There's so much to see here, after all! ... And by that, I mostly mean he's checking out the shops and the spa. Because of course he is.]
The Merry Old Land of Oz (Wildcard)
[Got an idea not covered by either of these prompts? Hit me up!]
Luca Paguro | Luca | OTA
Luca is enjoying the summer in Kaisou. He loves all the pretty rainbows and flags and the parades and food trucks, and overall just enjoying how alive the city has become. He can be found watching the parade while snacking on hot dogs, or perusing the various booths that always pop up around the pride parade.
It's not long before he comes across one selling various pins and small flags. Naturally curious about all of this, he asks about them. The person working the booth gives him a rundown of each of the flags and what they mean, which sends Luca's mind racing, trying to work out which one applies to him best, though the more he thinks about it the more his eyes linger one one of the pins. Isn't it fitting that the greens and blues of that flag match the colors of his and Alberto's sea monster form so well? Especially since the description he's given for that one seems to match how he feels?
If he spots someone he recognizes, he'll snap out of his thoughts and smile, asking, "Are you having fun?"
Cleansing Water
Of course, with summer fun comes the summer sun, and soon Luca's feeling a bit overheated so he heads to the beach to go for a swim and cool off. As he goes down towards the water he happens to pass by someone selling water, so of course he buys a bottle, thinking nothing of it. He then finds a good spot, sets out his beach towel, strips down to his swim trunks and decides to drink his water before going for a swim. After running around all day with nothing to drink, Luca ends up chugging the entire bottle all in one go.
Which, of course, means his memories just took a massive hit. All memory of his life before Kaisou? Gone. All memory of having any sorts of powers, or being a sea monster? Wiped away. He doesn't notice right away, though, because what he does remember is that he's at the beach and that he's planning on swimming. So that's just what he does, walking down to the water and not even bothering to find an isolated spot when he goes in, confidently walking in until he's about waist deep. That's when he realizes somethings wrong, and, looking down, he realizes the lower half of his body has transformed. He screams, his tail, because he apparently has a tail now, thrashing around in the water, splashing him even more and making the transformation spread over more of his body.
pride;
Hah, yeah, I am~! Hey— Look what I bought!
[ How many times has Alberto said these foreboding words... usually good stuff. This time, his impulse purchase just so happens to be a bit kismet, uncanny in his timing. He whips a large MLM flag out from behind his back, holding it up with eyes alight. ]
Isn't it pretty? The colors look like us, see?
[ No clue what it means. He didn't chat with the person manning his booth... Sincerely just thought the colors reminded him of himself and Luca and bought it on instinct. Life is strange like that sometimes. ]

The way Luz described pride parades to him and Luca sounded, first of all, just like a ton of fun, but also like maybe... educational...? He's going in with extra enthusiasm.
And a special enthusiasm for the whole rainbow theme — he loves colors! Luz had mentioned people dress up, so he's pulled out the most rainbow-y outfit he has (plus he just likes those pants; he feels somehow drawn to that mouse...) and accessorized accordingly, drawing rainbow band "tattoos" on himself with Sharpie marker in a few different places, plus even Sharpie tattooed his nail beds rainbow while he was at it... Alberto commits. That's for sure. He's wearing the necklace Luca gave him as usual, like he has been all year, but any friends who haven't seen him in a couple weeks may notice that now his right ear is pierced, sporting a little golden stud earring in the shape of a star. That's... new... But he's clearly having fun experimenting with human fashion more and more, and finding his groove — which he gets to show off today! Of course, he's just gonna accumulate stuff throughout the parade, perusing all the little booths that pop up selling Pride gear. After a while, he can be found wearing a large MLM flag as a cape. Didn't know what it was when he bought it, just liked the colors cuz it reminded him of himself and Luca in their sea monster forms... but y'know, it was a perfect coincidence.
At some point in the festivities, he hears "Vogue" playing and absolutely loses his shit at whoever's next to him. ]
Wha— L-Listen, listen! Ahah, it's Madonna! I love this song! They're playing "Vogue" by Madonna!
[ Alberto has next to zero cultural context for so much in his life on land, but apparently, his inner compass has been pointing him in the right directions... ]
b. oz
[ Unsurprisingly, Alberto's never seen the Wizard of Oz. Never even heard of it. All of this is lost on him, just another crazy pocket of the Spirit Realm. But he likes it! ...Minus the tornadoes! That was horrible?!
But kinda fun!? He can't say a tornado was fun, can he...?He is eager to help with all the rebuilding efforts. He's learned some hand-to-hand combat over the past several months, but without any magic powers, there's not really much he can do to help with the Kalidahs... He's getting increasingly frustrated about being the only "normal," magic-less person he knows, but hides his private insecurities about not feeling useful, and just keeps his energy up, trying to help the Munchkins as best he can. Maybe a little too much...He's quick to throw himself into the manual labor of laying bricks to repair the Yellow Brick Road. He carries an exorbitant — even dangerous — amount of bricks at once, though, trying to overcompensate. He teeters and totters with as many bricks as he can manage, but he's definitely bitten off more than he can chew. Help him out before he spills this giant stack all over the place?
He puts his skills to better use later, fancying himself a naturally talented artist and home designer. Except he's. not skilled. at all. Enthusiasm can only go so far when physics and feasibility are involved... He has no clue how houses are actually built. And it shows more and more as he offers suggestions to whoever else is helping with these Munchkins' home. The Munchkin couple are, uh... dubious... of this kid's ideas... but they're polite and thankful and who knows, maybe he, uh, really knows more than he lets on. ]
Oooh, another idea: What if you put a swimming pool inside your house? Oh! Oh! Wait— Or! You could put the swimming pool on the roof!
[ ...They're trying so hard to give him the benefit of the doubt... This group needs help. Someone intervene. Someone sensible. It takes a village... Teamwork makes the dream work... ...Cuz if not, Alberto's 'swimming pool on the roof' idea probably isn't gonna hold water — maybe literally. ]
c. wildcard!
[ always down to plot, tryna get back in the swing of things! hmu to chat @
Pride (because damnit imma do at least one pride thread this month)
Now a year later he's a lot more comfortable with concepts that feel more fitting than any of those three lables. His one purchase so far is far more subtle. But he's eyeing those pride flags for sale, wondering if he should get one for his boyfriend, who is currently visiting family. He doesn't have long to consider because he's hearing a voice shouting.]
I have ears, damn you. Of course I know what's playing.
[Oh. Wait. Actually he knows that voice. He looks over the MLM flag cape and the outfit and... grins. Looks like Alberto is taking to Pride like a duck to water.]
You don't half-ass anything, do you, Nickels?
YEAH let's get gay!!

akira kurusu | persona 5 royal | ota
[Akira's never been a huge person for parties in college - too much school, too much work, too much... worry hanging over his head about things he can see that others can't.
But that last one, at least, is something Akira can no longer ignore even though he's tried for most of his life to do just that. So in that case... it's better to live life to the fullest, right?
"Fullest" is debatable, but when he gets invited to one of the parties his classmates have been chattering about, he does go all out more than he normally would. Back home, he'd be more discrete, only pull this out for Crossroads - but his home is Kaisou now, not the streets of Tokyo, so his first order of business is heading shopping to assemble a wig and pieces of an outfit not unlike this one
although unlike this photo he'll be minus the handcuffs and an Akechi Goro. Are you an acquaintance that went clothes shopping with him? Someone else that's trying out clothes in the fitting room? If you're nearby, Akira's speaking to you regardless. (Sorry??? Not sorry???)]
I haven't gone shopping for clothes like this in a while... Do these match alright? [And then, whispered conspiratorially even as his eyes sparkle with mischief-] If it's not slimming enough, you can be brutally honest. I can take the heat.
ii. cleansing water (except no cleansing spring was harmed in the making of this prompt)
[Akira has definitely noticed the plant growth - given that it's his field of study, it's impossible not to.
But, he reflects upon going up to his apartment roof to tend to the plants he started growing a while back for Xiao to look at, things have probably gotten a lot more out of hand than he'd truly been prepared for. After all, usually he can see the concrete of the roof instead of a veritable bed of greenery. Tenderly, he starts picking his way across - those are leaves, aren't they? Leaves and more. Honestly Akira should probably be more horrified than he is, but the student in him is fascinated by it, too. He can't think of another opportunity he'll have to watch accelerated plant growth like this... Especially one that's so drastic that it'd make vines grow from his very normal plant boxes, right up and over the side of the roof...
It's probably a good thing he notices it, because it's just then that Akira hears the sound of breaking glass that's a little too close for comfort. He moves towards the noise on instinct, leaning over the guard rail and - yep. Oh boy. That sure is a vine going right through a neighbor's window.]
Oh. [His eyes are as wide as they can go. He thinks he can hear a man yelling from the apartment unit.] Oh, shit.
[His reflexes are still as sharp as ever, at least, so he quickly snatches his phone out of his jeans before the thought even finishes and fires off a message to the network from "plantdad".]
Mayday. Huge plant emergency. Very urgent. Can anyone bring sheers or large cutting equipment to an apartment.
iii. munchkin land smushed into one
[First and foremost, Akira is there to help out with helping the citizens - repairing the things he's fit enough for, and cooking up food to get to the displaced residents when he's not. He's never been good at turning down anyone that needs help, and that certainly hasn't changed now that a situation like this has arose.
After things are a little more stable for the residents, however, Akira is moving on to deal with the Kalidahs. He shouldn't be, really, because he hasn't used that power of his in a very long time - but he'd like to help in this way too, if he can.
...That had been the plan, at least, tagging along with the other Kaisou residents on the same path, until he hears about the poppies.
Instead of trying to find alternative means of breathing or a way to destroy them... Akira is certainly moving closer to them with a notebook and mechanical pencil in hand.]
It's alright. [He'll try to reassure anyone if they protest or call him out in this very blatant foolishness.] I just need to get a good look at them for a moment. There's... nothing like this outside of... [A yawn. Drooping eyelids. Hmm.] ...Oz... can't waste...
[Better do something quick! Akira already drops off like a rock when it's naptime, so he's not long for the waking world.]
