[It had been a very difficult couple of months for Danny. And the two weeks of survival and sleep deprivation hadn't helped. Like, at all.

But hey, there was no better way to avoid all the things he was trying very hard not to think about than an obvious distraction. And he'd been wanting to do this for months.

Danny adjusts the angle of his phone's camera and waves. He is standing in front of a large card table set up in the park. On the table are a couple of battered cans of obviously knockoff soda. Bepsi. Bepis. Conke. And the probably accurately named End Me. Each can has been opened and dumped into a large container in front of it, and a tube of Mentos candy is ready to drop in..

You can probably figure out where this is going. ]

Hey guys! I figured this would be the easiest way to film this. Wish me luck.

[And with that he dumps the candy into the containers and dives for cover under the table as the containers erupt into a geyser of foam.]

...Danny that's gonna- [and off he goes] oh never mind he's doing it anyway.

[But you know, that's an impressive geyser! He's impressed!! He'll even give his buddy a round of applause for his efforts. ]

Okay, so that was pretty cool.

[Danny pops back up in view of the camera now that its safe and grins. ]

That was kind of the idea. But hey! Proof that the scary vending machine soda still acts like soda.

...I wonder if I could get it to go higher.

That IS true, at least that means it probably isn't completely cursed?

[Only a LITTLE bit cursed!!!]

I think to do that, you'd need to test each flavour individually and see which has the higher geyser. Then you just increase the levels of that soda and boom!

Well if you think about it that way, I guess I'm just going to have to test it again. [No other choice. It was tragic.]

[Danny laughs and rubs the back of his head.]

That's kind of the point of this, Snow. All of this soda came from a machine that just kind of randomly showed up in my kitchen at home. And the cans didn't exactly look... safe? I tried some of them and they were pretty bad. So I figured this was the best use for them.

Oh... well, it did look like a fun experiment! I've never seen anything like that before! Don't forget to recycle the cans, though, Danny dear!

[BUUUUT it's too late, and Danny does the thing. Elliot can only watch as the geyser and his own blood pressure spikes. He's only left with one question]

Why not? The soda's all from this sketchy vending machine that showed up in the kitchen at home. I wasn't completely convinced it was safe to drink, so why not use it for science?

[That wasn't to say that he hadn't tried most of the flavors... and regretted all of them.]

[He gives a LOOOONG sigh. At least Danny is one peace]

Okay but does the foam taste like anything after all that? Like candy foam?

I'm not really sure if we should test that. Not with this soda anyway. This is from that sketchy looking vending machine that showed up a few months ago.

[Danny had tried a few flavors and instantly regretted them all.]

Really? Then maybe that should be another science experiment, 'test the sketch soda foam and see if it's edible.'

Sure, I brought tons of the candy. But you might need to bring some more soda. I used up most of what I had.

Basically when you drop the candy in it releases all of the carbon dioxide in the soda at once.

I wonder if that means you can fill that machine you have with normal soda now.
