WHO: Zagreus
WHERE: Network
WHEN: Late January
WHAT: Zagreus sort of tried to garden on his own. He does not have his mother's natural talent
WARNINGS: Dumb gods being dumb???
[Video clicks on to Zagreus, who... seems to be sitting on the ground, with a number of beautiful, gloriously blooming plants behind him. His expression, to put it mildly, is puzzled.]
Does anyone on here know how to take care of plants? I... sort of started trying and then quickly realized I had absolutely no idea what I was doing.
[Seriously what do plants need?? Can they eat food? Do they just need company?????]

I can help out. I like to garden for a hobby.
What do you want to grow?

[you are assuming he knows literally anything. He just sort of directs the camera at the garden, which is ridiculously impressive.]
Mostly trying to, uh, make sure these stay alive. It's my mother's garden, and I think she said it should mostly be alright but she wanted me to check on it whenever I cam across it.

[This bodes well!]
Well, if the plants have already sprouted the biggest thing is watering them. Have you been doing that?

Thanks mate, I'll keep that in mind.

But don't like drown them. I hear plants don't like that.
I don't really keep any plants, but they do add nice ambiance.

On average, yes. Some varieties can grow in partial shade, some need more light. This is, of course, all assuming magic isn't involved.

Yes, hello. I'm something of a gardener. If you can give me a place to meet you, I can show you how plant care works.
((ooc: I don't have quite the right icon for this, but the vibe is right at least.))

[There's a brief pause where Ghaleon ducks out of frame and the sound of rustling before the phone is picked up again and he's on the move, now with a jacket. Sometimes you just gotta talk and walk.]
My name is Ghaleon, by the way.

and it being cold out sucks a ton for us
tasty dirt is really important too
really good quality stuff not total junk

Though-- how can I tell if dirt is tasty? I mean, I don't think I could tell by tasting it myself.
no subject
you need roots not tastebuds
uh well if you aren't sure i can taste it for you? give you some constructive feedback on your dirt-making skills

Honestly, I don't really know the first thing about them. They're my mother's.

[Hello Santa.][Plants have quickly become Souta's number one favorite topic, so he'll focus on the discussion instead of their first meeting.]
Sunlight, water, and good soil are a good place to start. Every plant has different preferences, so tailoring those to their liking will make them more lively.
They also need shelter from the elements. Excess rain or wind, low or high temperatures. Low temperatures would be the main concern right now, but you should also be mindful of winter storms. They can cause a lot of damage.
[Since he's not certain if Zagreus is talking about starting seeds from scratch or taking care of outdoor bushes, it seems worth mentioning.]
Re: Video, un: clovertales
Right. How do I tell what they need?
