network, art class
Network; video; un: art_with_snake
[Judging from the angle of the video, it appears to be taken with a phone on a stand poised on a table, with a good view of Tyra and the sandwiches she's making. A pitch black snake with clearly unnatural shadowy wisps coming off it is curled around her shoulder peeking at the phone.]
So those Zodiac folks decided to install a social network app on my phone, huh? Rather annoying, but there seems to be some interesting folks on there, so hi! Don't mind my making lunch for me and my kid, I'm busy about this time of night getting ready for the next day.
[She spreads mustard on top of the ham and spinach leaves and cheese, then presses a slice of wheat bread on top of that.]
I'm Tyra and I'm an art teacher. If you're a teenager or child going to school around here, you might have me teaching your art class. Maybe you know me already. Likewise if you have children of about that age, they might know me.
I also do art in my spare time. And... I've been studying a little bit of magic. It's how I got Obsidian here. [She pauses to affectionately stroke the shadowy snake.]
It looks like some of you aren't from around here. Myself, I'm a local, have been here since birth. But I've been aware of weird stuff since I was little, so this all is only a mild surprise. Why don't you tell me all about yourselves? Also, I can point out some of my favorite local spots.
Art class
[If your character's been going to school for a while, you will likely already know Tyra as your art teacher. If your character is brand new to the school for whatever reason, there's this woman in a pink suit speaking with great passion.]
And now we're going to work with chalk! Most of you think of chalk as something you use on blackboards or the sidewalk or similar, but it has its own interesting texture and look that works on a lot of surfaces like the canvas I just gave out to you all. Just think of something you want to draw and try for it! A tip: start from the middle. It's easier that way, you'll smudge less and get less chalk on yourself. If you want to mix colors on the canvas, use those erasers like this instead of your fingers. [She demonstrates using the eraser to smudge two colors together.]
Okay, as usual if you want help or advice on how to improve, don't be afraid to raise your hand.

Uh, hi. I'm Luisa. I'm, uh...one of those people that aren't really from here.
