[It’s Mirabel on the network! Showing her face for the first time - and uhhh… she looks… like she may need a little more sleep. There’s definitely the faint trace of bags under her eyes. Though if she’s tired, it doesn’t show in her voice. She sounds as cheerful as she usually does.]

Is anyone in need of some winter clothing? I’ve been a little busy making scarves, but I can make gloves and hats too. I’ve got plenty of fabric, let me know and I can make something for you! We’ve all gotta stay warm, right?

[Has she had too much coffee and staying up late? Maybe! Maybe.]

[He has noooo idea how easy it is to actually get ahold of gold yarn, so he can settle for yellow. It's not a big deal.]

A cardinal, so he's red and black.

[And in an attempt to be helpful he'll send a picture taken with his phone, of a bright red cardinal with one scarred eye sitting next to a ruler. Look, birds can come in all kinds of sizes, and he figures it'll help her determine how much she needs to knit.]

[As soon as Julieta sees just the START of the post, she immediately stops watching, gets up, opens Mirabel's door, and takes her phone, putting it in her apron pocket before pushing a small bit of food into Mirabel's mouth.]

[Her hand is on her hip. Mirabel will not be winning this argument.]

[She makes a noise of protest, but the food is in her mouth. She swallows it.]

Mirabel, I can and will remove all of your fabrics and materials and sewing machine until you get a full 8 hours of sleep. Would you like to test that or are you going ro listen the first time?

[She is smiling, but it's the "we both know how this ends" look that all mothers' have perfected.]

[Julieta presses a kiss to Mirabel's temple and guides her over to the bed.]

My genius daughter, I knew you had a wonderful, amazing brain.

[She goes to the dresser and pulls out a nightgown. Naps in clothing are one thing. Mirabel is going TO BED, so nightgown it is.]

Sweet dreams, mi vida. Get some sleep. I love you you amazing girl.

Mirabel? Sweetie? When's the last time you slept?

[Oh so much. Luckily mom is on the way.]

... I think I fell asleep at the sewing machine does that count?

I think it's time you take a break from sewing and get some rest.

But there's still so much work I could be-whoa!

[Mirabel disappears off screen, the phone screen goes blank. There's some muffled talking/arguing, and then everything goes quiet.

For several hours.]

8 hours later

[And then Mirabel is back! Like, 8 or 9 hours later. She looks better, though she's in a nightgown so she had a change of clothes between then and now.]

So I did the resting thing.

[yeah that's about what he expected. He'll flip his camera back on]

Ha, had a feeling that's what happened!

Good morning, Mirabel. Sleep well?

[ Luisa knows she's probably the last person to talk about taking breaks, but it's very clearly obvious that her sister has not slept. And given that Luisa had received a new ~mysterious~ scarf just that morning, it wasn't hard to put two and two together.

Luckily she does hear that their mother apparently has it handled. She can only shake her head in sympathy, just imagining what Julieta is saying to Mirabel to get her to get some rest, and she does not envy her right now.

So she lets Julieta take care of it now, and sometime later she'll head up to Mirabel's room to check in on her. ]

[Oh Julieta put her in her place quickly, that's what she did. Mirabel finally does get the break she needs - or at least the eight hours of sleep she needed. Still, she's up in the morning, and Luisa can probably hear the sounds of a sewing machine once again.

Luckily, she hasn't gotten an outpour for scarf requests, so she's just working on a tiny bird-sized scarf. There's a cup of coffee next to her, and she's still in her nightgown.

She doesn't hear Luisa come in.]

[ She hasn't even opened the door yet and she can already hear the sewing machine. She frowns, because even though Mirabel had gotten some sleep, she still didn't want her sister pushing herself too hard.

Pot, kettle

Pushing the door open, she leans against the frame and clears her throat loud enough to be heard over the machine. ]

Does Mamá know you're already back to work?

[The machine stops, and Mirabel glances up from her work.]

Oh Luisa! I didn’t hear you come in…

[She doesn’t realize that most of the family probably saw her mom yoinking her phone before putting her to bed.]

Ah… she doesn’t. I just thought I’d get a head start on this little bird scarf that someone wanted.

[ She debates for a moment, then steps into the room and closes the door. She doesn't want Mirabel to get in trouble, even if she did think her sister could use a bit more rest. ]

It probably could've waited a little longer, you know?

[Some time after their mom took care of the important task of making Mirabel take a break-- eventually she gets another knock on her door... although Isabela lets herself in a moment after.]

You know... as nice as it is to help people-- have you ever considered that there are people out there who would pay for the good work you do? You have a talent for this sort of thing. It feels like such a waste for you to keep giving it away for free.

[Mirabel's had some rest, a nice heart-to-heart with Luisa, and now she's changed into her regular clothes - about to put herself back to work. But when Isabela comes through her door, she offers a small smile.]

I guess I've never really thought about charging anyone for it? I wouldn't even know how much to charge...

Well there's a simple way to fix that. All you need to do is compare what you're doing to something similar in the stores. But if it's personalized, then I think it's worth a little bit extra.

[Isabela dances around a bit-- going around to peer at the work Mirabel has done.]

Prices aren't set in stone either so-- if something doesn't work, just change it.

[Right now Mirabel is working on a tiny yellow scarf. Isabela can probably see other tiny clothing strewn across her workspace. There's a mysterious little box by her side too.]

It feels like I haven't been to the stores around here in a while, it'd be nice to maybe get some new ideas for designs too...
