WHO: Will Solace and anyone else
WHERE: Network
WHEN: Probably some time in the morning on 9/18
WHAT: WHERE AM I and other small matters
WARNINGS: Probably language from other people, in as far as the language filter will allow
[Will looks mildly exasperated when he finally gets the app to work. The instruction book only helps so much when you're ADHD and dyslexic, and the child-friendly... theme of the app isn't helping in the slightest.]
Hi... I'm Will, and I think I feel more lost out of that labyrinth than when I was in it.
[He can't help looking behind his shoulder for a moment. Just... making sure Bull Man didn't follow him out. If the Minotaur is even in there in the first place.]
So, I've got a lotta questions, but two are more pressing to me. First, has anyone seen a guy around 15, really dark hair that's kinda unkempt, dark eyes, goth aesthetic, and generally looks grumpy at the entire concept of life?
Second, is there a way to make this app less... busy? Like a greyscale mode or a way to change the font? I mean, I like colors, but this is a lot.
[Hello, world! Here's another teenager.]

Unless this is the super weird part of Long Island I don't know about, which is a distinct possibility, most likely not

Honestly, that sounds like a bunch of guys at school. Do you have a name to go with that?
[Maybe he can ask around.]
Also if you're under the age of sixteen you apparently get a really weird version of the app. I've not seen it myself but I hear it's really obnoxious. The good news is that we're apparently all trapped here forever so once you hit sixteen you'll be able to see the normal one for yourself. [So deeply sarcastically:] Wee.
no subject
That's fair. His name's Nico di Angelo.
[He can't help a bark of laughter at that last part.]
It's definitely obnoxious, and it reminds me of my doctor's office when I was really young. Good to know I'll only have this for a few months, though. My sixteenth is in February. Not so psyched about this apparently trapped forever deal.
no subject
The name doesn't sound familiar, but I can ask around school for you? Um- fair warning, though, sometimes people we know from home have already been living here but won't remember us. It's like a...reincarnation kind of deal. It's...a good idea to prepare for that. Because it happens more often than most of us would like.
[Better he be aware of it now before he runs into this and gets hurt. It's a public service, really!]
Oh, there you go! You've only got to deal with the obnoxious font and the censoring of everything for a couple more months. And yeah, no one is psyched about that. That was a super fun nugget of information they dropped on us like...last week.
[Super fun. The most fun.]
I'm Varian, by the way.

I'd offer to try and hack it for you but the Libra app isn't just normal code, I think it's also kind of magical or something. There might be a way to bypass the colors at least by disabling them outside of the app? So like, on your entire phone? But then you'd also be seeing people's videos in black and white... And probably everything else, too.
[She gives a little apologetic shrug here.]
Sorry, I don't know if I've seen your guy, either. I mean I've definitely run into guys that kind of fit that description in the city? But I couldn't tell you where they are now, and I don't know if they're on the app.
no subject
Yeah, unfortunately, that's not what I'm going for. Thanks for the offer, though! I definitely appreciate it.
[Doesn't even question the fact that a fellow teen can hack into apps.]
Honestly, if he opened up the app and it looked like this? He probably would've thrown the phone away. [Will sounds amused.] Well, I guess let me know if you see a Nico di Angelo around. Hopefully, he's here and not causing a scene at my disappearance back home.
no subject
Nico di Angelo. Got it.
[She's pretty sure that name hasn't been in any wallets she's picked from pockets recently but then she also only steals from adults, and not super often.]
I hope he's here. Some people do have people they knew from back home here. None of mine have shown up yet, though... I'm still hoping.
My name's Five. If there's anything else I can help with, just let me know, and... Welcome to Kaisou?

I haven't seen anyone like that, but I'll keep an eye out.
[He makes a thoughtful noise at the second bit...]
I heard there's a version of the thing for little kids. Maybe that's what you got by mistake?
no subject
Appreciate it! If it helps, his name's Nico di Angelo.
[He raises an eyebrow.]
I think I'll choose to be amused instead of insulted. I mean, they're not entirely wrong, but I'm also not that young.
no subject
Nico. I'll remember that.
[He cracks a grin at Will's optimism.]
Where I'm from, you'd probably be adventuring already. At the very least, no one would bat an eye if you ordered an ale. You're still a kid to me, but not a helpless child by any means.
[There was this sixteen year old who was in command of an army once—]
I'm Amal, by the way. Like you, I tumbled head over heels through a gate and a labyrinth to get here. Feels like ages ago, now—if you've got questions, I have answers. Probably.

And I don't think you can. From what I heard, as long as you're a kid, it's not going to change.
...For better and for worse.
no subject
Did they really not think how most teenagers would despise this? I mean, I'm amused, but only because I know several people who would've thrown their phone in disgust by now
On the other hand, it's very hard to type and I'm relying solely on autocorrect at this point. Maybe there's a text to speech thing so I don't have to struggle reading, at least?
no subject
[After all, most typical teenagers in Japan would be sending all their time and effort into studies rather than angsting away!]
But there probably is? I don't know, I never found it too annoying. It's just...odd.

[Like it was cool and novel to start, but blood and darkness the bright colors on here do not help his sense of being blinded by everything.]

i mean you could always try it out just to see
then let the rest of us know
and i haven't seen a guy like that is he missing
no subject
I guess it depends on your definition of missing
I was with him, a red-haired girl, and another guy before I found myself in a labyrinth
He's more of a priority of figuring out whether he's here or not because he might be freaking out a little
no subject
sick!
what kind of labyrinth?
[Fern no that isn't the priority here.]
