[There were plenty of first date options to choose from. Dinner. A movie. Theme parks. Escape rooms. Hiking. Katsuki, however, had decided that a good first date plan was signing up for a quest together.

Finding and destroying some wonky love potions definitely sounded doable for them!

They were sneaking around the warehouse district now and had already had a couple close calls. But now Katsuki is almost certain they're about to be caught, backed into a corner with nowhere to run. And a guard coming closer and closer. They call out and Katsuki starts readying himself for a fight...]

[When Katsuki found that he would be doing this quest with Luz, it seemed like a good opportunity to maybe discuss the whole... yelling thing from last month. But he figured the quest should come first.

Unfortunately shit hit the fan from the moment they walked through the door. From failing to intimidate a criminal to the animals going nuts. Katsuki was ready to just fight the responsible party when the 'evidence' was found.

A little chaos and confusion and some magic shenanigans later and Katsuki and Luz were now on the run down the street as a pair of cute, fuzzy animals. Katsuki wasn't very pleased to be a fluffy orange cat but at least they could still communicate with each other even if no ome else could understand them?]

Oh. Huh. You seemed so...used to it, I guess? Like you were an expert. I figured it was something you just did, because of your powers.

[Who did? Fighting dinosaurs would have to go down as one of the weirder things that Luz had to take part in that she still didn't fully understand].

You weren't. There were a lot of bad things those dinosaurs did, and would have done more without people stepping in. But I was talking based on my own feelings too. I feel like every single day I'm here, not trying to figure out a way to get back, the world I love gets closer to completely falling apart. It stinks, though, that one mistake could turn into such a disaster.

It felt natural. Like muscle memory. But nah. Never done anything like that before. Not in this lifetime anyway.

The point I'm trying to make is it didn't help to chew either of you out for this shit. At the end of the day the people who caused it jumped in to help clean up the mess. Took responsibility. More than Zodiac did when they got people killed. Saw their last post? Fucking assholes...

Huh. More mysteries that we're not going to come close to finding the answers to, other than "magic." Sometimes I see why Varian gets so annoyed with the concept now.

No one wanted that to happen, least of all Varian. It just feels like we aren't getting any closer to an answer to why any of this happens, whether its all connected, if there's a way to figure it out or if the next week's going to give us more mysteries. But we care that people got hurt. And yeah, I noticed what Zodiac said. They really need someone to handle their PR department, because they're really just furthering my suspicion that we're just expendable whether we're coming or going.

...I mean, I have theories. A lot of us who were born in this world have been getting memories--and powers--from some... other versions of us? Alternate realities or past lives or something. I think it might be a combination of the two. The other me could blow shit up too. I started being able to in June.

[So. Maybe... they're turning into those people. Or something. He's not sure he likes that.]

It's not a suspicion. It's a fact. People died in May's realm. A couple of 'em were kids. And the most Zodiac offered was an In Memorium and grief counseling. Fuck 'em.

That's some of what happened to the people I know too. They're the lives they lived here, but they start getting aspects of the person they were in other...timelines, I guess? Why that happens at all is beyond me though.

[She was still not sure how that even happened, or if they were going to somehow take in MORE aspects of their other lives. It sure would do some weird things to Eda then].

I guess to them, that was enough since they managed to bring people back from the dead. At least, they did for Hunter. You think he'd harbor more of a grudge about it, but he still is fine working with them.

I guess we're all looking for answers, one way or another.

I was looking for them for just Eda at first, but now I have quite a few friends here who are struggling with those memories, if not them specifically people in their family. I can't imagine having to deal with that!

[Of course, having your girlfriend come from a later timeline where you found out you sort of won/sort of were stranded was pretty heady too].
