UN: Zodiac | August Arrives!
WHO: Everyone!
WHERE: Libra App
WHEN: August 1st
WHAT: Zodiac Network Post
WARNINGS: None!
[The humidity is finally subsiding, though the heat is still very present as the spirit vein shifts into the fire element, brilliant hues of red appearing throughout the vein. Wherever you are, your phone will start to ring and vibrate. It doesn’t matter if your phone was off or on mute - it will ring anyway. Checking the phone, you'll see the Libra app has opened itself and will not close until you read and response to a new post from Zodiac.]
Hello! Thank you for using the Libra App!
August is here! We at Zodiac hope you guys enjoyed the vacation at the resort last month! We know our staff really enjoyed their day off. Sometimes it's just so refreshing to get away from it all, isn't it? If only more of the realms could be like that. As for you who went on a less restful voyage, we would like to remind you that there were warnings to avoid the ship and sea so Zodiac is not responsible. Being able to hold oneself accountable is a valuable life skill!
Anyway, onto our announcements. First we'd like to introduce a new feature to the Libra app: Side quests! The Side Quest page will display a list of odd jobs that our career opportunity department has heard about. These jobs are open for anyone on the app to take, so it's a great way to earn a little extra cash! Just select the job you want and you'll be sent information on what to do next!
Moving on, we have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that our Spirit Vein meteorologists have noticed the energy within Spirit Vein has grown more stable than in previous months. We hope that this means there shouldn't be a new Spirit Gate popping up this month! The bad news is that even with that positive forecast, the seers keep reading signs of strife for many of you in the next upcoming weeks. We're not sure what to make of those predictions, but hopefully it won't amount to much! Perhaps some of you need to keep an eye on your personal lives, or have some unexpected challenge ahead! Whatever the case may be, we hope you all stay happy and healthy.
That's all from us this for now! Please enjoy the county fair, and we'll leave you with one of our ever popular icebreaker questions!

[Users will have the option to choose their own display names and userpics if they haven't already. If nothing is chosen, the app will use their real name and a quick photo taken of them from their camera's phone. As Zodiac said, there is a new page on the app devoted to the side quests listings. Like always, there'll be no responses from Zodiac.]

And I don't think I explained the class thing well. You don't have the whole grade in one classroom, no. You'll be taking various subjects with a smaller subset of your peers, but that group will change between subjects. Everyone's taking mostly the same subjects, but when they take them throughout the day is different.

[...]
Something tells me I'm going to get lost.

You will be given a schedule, and there should be maps located around the building. Since you're a new student, teachers should be at least a little lenient for the first few days while you learn your way around.

[Or at least, that's the impression he gets!]

[And thus, his curse of always hanging around people older than him continues here.]
no subject
And yeah, I can't say I really hang around many high-schoolers myself, being in college and all. But if you need someone older to talk to, I'm always happy to listen!
no subject
That said, I want to ask. What was your experience in high school like? Just to let myself know if I should be prepared for anything else.
no subject
As for me in high school... honestly, I don't think my high school experience was anything special? I basically just went to class, did my work, and went home. I wasn't really part of any clubs or anything, and I never really got too close with the people in my classes.
So, if anything, I'd say be sure to branch out. Try to join a club or two, do your best to socialize. The education part is going to happen no matter what you do. And sure, it's important to keep on top of that, but don't be like me and let the whole experience pass you by.
no subject
But I need to branch out huh? That sure sounds a lot like the advice that a lot of people have been giving me. They all told me to live my life as normally as possible without having to worry about anything.
My senpais have told me the same thing. High school can be tough but don't mind what others say about you. Just focus on yourself and don't get caught up on the drama.
[Because he definitely heard things about their high school life. Dark hour or not.]
no subject
It's not entirely possible to avoid worries or drama all the time, but I think it's important to spend the time you have making as many good memories as you can. You're only going to be this young once, so why not make the best of it, you know?

The last thing I want is to deal with fighting another god of death.
[It makes sense in context.]
no subject
And, uh, well. I think we're done dealing with gods of death for a while? ...I hope we're done dealing with gods of death for a while.
[Listen Ken he won't ask if you won't]

[Again, it makes sense in context!!]

I think all we can really do is hope we don't get anything quite that dire again any time soon.
no subject
I don't think the public wants to hear about how a lot of kids got hurt.
no subject
And it's not like they'd believe us if we told them the truth of a lot of these things, either.
no subject
Let's just hope that nothing happens to the school. But if that happens, I suppose I'll just have to fight whatever throws my way.
For better and for worse.

Reach out on here and I'm sure someone will drop everything to help.

Don't worry, I promise I won't get myself into too much trouble.
