August is here! We at Zodiac hope you guys enjoyed the vacation at the resort last month! We know our staff really enjoyed their day off. Sometimes it's just so refreshing to get away from it all, isn't it? If only more of the realms could be like that. As for you who went on a less restful voyage, we would like to remind you that there were warnings to avoid the ship and sea so Zodiac is not responsible. Being able to hold oneself accountable is a valuable life skill!

Anyway, onto our announcements. First we'd like to introduce a new feature to the Libra app: Side quests! The Side Quest page will display a list of odd jobs that our career opportunity department has heard about. These jobs are open for anyone on the app to take, so it's a great way to earn a little extra cash! Just select the job you want and you'll be sent information on what to do next!

Moving on, we have some good news and some bad news. The good news is that our Spirit Vein meteorologists have noticed the energy within Spirit Vein has grown more stable than in previous months. We hope that this means there shouldn't be a new Spirit Gate popping up this month! The bad news is that even with that positive forecast, the seers keep reading signs of strife for many of you in the next upcoming weeks. We're not sure what to make of those predictions, but hopefully it won't amount to much! Perhaps some of you need to keep an eye on your personal lives, or have some unexpected challenge ahead! Whatever the case may be, we hope you all stay happy and healthy.

Yes! I've been building a portal.

I'm not planning on leaving myself until everyone else who wants to go back has first- and try and stop this world from taking people in the first place. It wouldn't be fair for me to just leave without helping everyone else get out first.

That's very thoughtful of you, Varian, thinking about everyone else getting back home too.

I do hope you're able to figure something out. But do try to remember to take breaks sometimes, okay? Sometimes doing other things can help you discover new ideas to try with what you're working on.

If you always put off taking breaks, you'll never get one. And it'll affect your work.

I used to be able to pull all-nighters all the time, it's fine.

Anyway, I can't do that anymore since I got this...earth element connection going on. Too long without sunlight and I just pass out anyway.

[Because obviously "passing out" is the same as resting. Obviously.]

I need to make some portable lights to make that easier.

You can't go without sunlight because of an earth element connection?

Yeah. I can still eat food, but it feels heavy in my stomach unless I go out in the sunlight. Like I can't digest it properly. And I get really, really tired a few hours after sundown. And if I push it too far, I pass out.

I can grow plants, so my best guess is it's some sort of quasi-photosynthesis. Fern has to use that to survive too and it lines up a lot with that, except of course he can't eat at all.

[Wow that all sounds pretty much insane. People photosynthesizing? Passing out just because the sun goes down? That's pretty out there.

Then again Elliot is cursed to turn into a cat when stressed so maybe he shouldn't talk.

[It's so weird and Varian's not completely made his peace with it. Mostly because he LIKED pulling all-nighters when he had some solitude to work and now he can't do that anymore. He's a night owl being forced into a morning lark routine and it's turning him into a permanently exhausted pigeon.

It's SO GOOD Varian's side is text so Elliot misses just how much Varian is blushing right now.]

I guess we are. He's been helping me deal with it a lot. I'm really lucky to have him.
