[The video feeds starts a little out of focus - Bruno's still getting to grips with technology in general. There's some muttering before finally, it comes into focus with Bruno squinting at the screen close-up. ]

Did I get it? I think I got it!

[He pulls back with a grin- his rats are mingling in the background and the one nestled in his hair seems to be wearing a tiny little bee costume. He does not explain this. At any point. He waves at the camera, a little awkwardly.]

Okay, um- hi. I'm Bruno, for...people I haven't seen yet which is most people because...I'm not great with the people thing. But! I have this...gift from home? I can see the future- which is way less fun than it sounds, trust me. Anyhoo, I decided to try and see into the future of this place a little? Mostly to see if I can get me and my sobrina out of here- full offence - don't wanna stay here. Didn't see that, but I DID see this!

[He picks up a green, glass slate, which he turns to them. On it is a very crude image:



He turns to look at it, grimacing a little.]

Honestly? They usually look better than this. Like, they don't normally look like a five-year-old drew them. And I couldn't see the vision very clearly anyway, so I think something's wrong with my gift? Weird. I saw this rodent that was shooting lightning and a net being thrown at it. They're not my rodents, FYI- they can't shoot lightning. [He snort-laughs like that's the funniest thing ever.] Like, what are they? My sister? Hah.

[He lifts the plate up again, so people can see the...really ugly picture.]

Soooooo if weird lightning rodents and nets mean anything to anyone? This might be yours? Our ours? Who knows!

[He doesn't know. Even with Mirabel's vision, he had a vague idea of what was happening. This is...weird.]

Though...how lighting rats have anything to do with anything I don't know.

[Mirabel only has limited experience with Bruno's visions. But even this one does look a little... odd? She walks over to get a better look at it.]

[He'll hand it over for inspection- it definitely looks different from the other two she's seen. It's horribly unpolished.]

Looks that way! Which doesn't make a lot of sense but we do have a giant gate going into the spirit realm here, SO!

[She looks it over, but nothing is really clearer about the picture. Just electric mice and a net.]

I was expecting a spirit realm to be more... spirit...y?

[He's never had a vision be so unclear. Even the one he did before he vanished away at least pointed directly at Mirabel, even if he couldn't work out why.]

Me too? Like- spirits and ghosts and stuff? Floating around. Doing ...spirit things.

[Spirit. Things. He fidgets, unsure. He's still getting used to living outside the walls and now there's adventures and things to deal with and oh boy does he not want any of it.]

Maybe it won't come into the city? The city's...mostly safe, right?

[She keeps looking it over, as if it's going to reveal something else. It just looks so different from the other two visions she's seen.]

[She wants to be comforting and say that they're safe. But honestly? She barely knows anything about this city.]

If it does, I mean - Tia Pepa has accidentally zapped a few of us. Soooo how bad could rodents shooting lightning really be?

Yeah, well, kind of. She controls the weather with her mood. [He says that in the same tone one would use to say "my sister makes felt dolls" or "my sister plays the piano". ]

[...Granted, they probably wouldn't be too hard to hide for how often he actually comes home, but she doesn't want to risk it. She can hear him going on about rodents being filthy already.]

As far as the sister thing, though:]

That... certainly is a talent. [Might as well!] Although I can't imagine an easy one to manage. Moods can be so fickle.

Oh, well. He doesn't like any rodents, really. I don't think he likes animals much at all, but rodents especially... "filthy animals," so he says. I have nothing against them, but I don't pay rent, so...

Ah, well. At least things have evened out a little with your sister. I can only imagine her teenage years were rough.

[It really is what they said too; mostly because when Suzume politely asked 1, why they were cooking for them, and 2, what they were going to do about this whole 'you need someone to look after you', it was one of the attempts to get the concept of having a nanny across.]

[Bruno would be deeply entertained by this knowledge- Antonio can speak to his rats but he definitely cannot. The fact Ezekiel has addressed the rats at all gives him major brownie points for Bruno.]
