"April Showers brings May flowers", as the saying goes. As as it seems in Kaisou, the saying rings very much true. Throughout the month, routine rain showers will blanket the city. It's the type of rain that's not heavy enough to cause flooding, just heavy enough to make for puddles and soak anyone who forgets an umbrella. On days that it's not raining, the weather is warm and spring-like. Green is appearing on the trees in bright colors and the early spring flowers are in full bloom.

Springtime in Kaisou

After a long winter, spring is finally in full swing. Even amongst all the rain, Kaisou seems to be renewed with the kind of vigor you only find during springtime. Restaurants break out their outdoor seating during sunny days, and there's plenty of sidewalk sales from various shops. On the weekends, the Farmer's Market in Central Square has begun it's yearly operations. You should stop by for a visit if you want some fresh produce and artisan goods sold at reasonable prices. While most of the stuff there is of the mundane variety, you'll find a few merchants selling more paranormal related items such as supernatural plants (mandrake, lady's mantle, etc) and potions that are both fresher and cheaper than what you normally find in Undertown.

Out in the Entertainment District, a strange looking building has appeared called the Gold Saucer. It's a casino and amusement park, full of fun activities including shopping, casino games, an arcade, and chocobo racing- completely normal stuff! Meanwhile out in Kami State Park, a new hot springs has opened up! Come relax in the warm waters, take a spa day, and fully live out your anime dreams. Both of these attractions, while being brand new, are treated by locals like it's always been around. Rather curious, you have to say.

Meanwhile in Undertown, the surge in people new to the paranormal has caught notice. Starting in April, the Enki Education Center (or EEC) will open its doors! The EEC will offers classes on various supernatural topics such as basic spellworking, potionbrewing, enchantments, creatures of the Spirit Realm (taught by Professor Willow), how to make the most of your abilities, and Microsoft Excel. There are classes created to appeal to different basic age groups (child, teen, adult), and these classes can either be a one-time seminar to a multi-week course. Classes are either paid for with money (with potential discounted rates for low income folks), or with the exchange for items from the Spirit Realm.

The EEC isn't the only new spot in Undertown! Just outside of Undertown's entrance, there is a new Denny's! Or rather, you think it's new but everyone else seems to act like it's always been there. Strangely enough, you can't find it using any map or GPS-based apps and it's not listed on any websites. While inside the Denny's, all clocks are frozen at 2am. The menu has all the standard Denny's meals, but also have some more unusual dishes such as Apple Blood, pie you have to imagine to eat, and a dish made of worms. Curiously no time seems to pass while you're in the Denny's, so it might be a great spot to go if you need extra time.

Finally, near the Zodiac offices a new pet shop has opened up! Remember back in February when Zodiac asked you to bring them some Pokemon? Well it seems they figured out how to breed those Pokemon that were handed over. The pet shop is full of dog, cat, rodent, and bird Pokemon (not including any legendaries or fossils) that you can buy for a prize slightly higher than a normal pet. All these Pokemon are mostly depowered while in the city, and will have to learn how to use their powers properly while in the Spirit Realm as they've been bred in captivity. Aren't you guys glad to see your work pay off?

Egg Hunt

While Easter Egg hunts are normally reserved for children, it seems the Spirit Vein has other thoughts on the matter. Throughout the town, beautifully decorated eggs are scattered around in easy-to-spot hiding places. Under a bench, behind your coffee mug, in your mailbox - some of them may even be stashed in places that you're pretty sure no one else would have access to. Some of these eggs are normal hardboiled eggs, while others are made of wood and can be opened up. Inside these wooden eggs, you'll find one of three options: a piece of chocolate, a coin or bill of ANY currency that equates to about $1 USD in value, or a slip of paper that has a piece of information about another person on the app. This information could be public knowledge, a lesser known fact, or even a secret they've never told anyone. What you do with this information? It's entirely up to you.

The Dream of the Simple Life

On the night of April 12th, any character who sleeps will have the same dream. They will dream of a beautiful valley full of nature and small farms, but the dream is tinged with a sense of sadness - as if whatever is being shown here is long gone. In this dream, some strange looking creatures will speak to you. "We are the Junimos... Keepers of the forest. Please!" they say, "Please help restore our home!"

The following morning, April 13th, a new message from Zodiac is sent out

ALERT: POTENTIAL STABLE GATE IDENTIFIED IN CENTRAL SQUARE.

Designation: Stardew Valley
A new gate has been detected in Central Square Station. No reported hostility yet but there are some signs of dangerous elements. Foreign energy readings have been detected in the gate, causing it to destabilize. Zodiac request that you investigate and resolve the source of the destabilization. Durable work clothes are recommended.

The Zodiac Office is much calmer than last month. They explain that they too were contacted by the mysterious dream creatures. It seems this realm was once a peaceful nature realm, but something has caused it to fall out of balance. The researchers at Zodiac also have hope that if they are able to resolve the imbalance issue, they may be able to tether this realm to the city - allowing for the first stable gate in Kaisou. While they offer the usual weapons, they also offer a number of gardening tools. Strange! They will also note that just like the last realm, it seems time moves differently while in the realm. By their estimates, it's several days in that realm to an hour in Kaisou. In other words, don't worry too much about missing work. They also reassure that they've updated the Libra app to help keep better track.

Once you're all ready to go, it's off to Central Square Station, the train and subway station that's near the city hall of Kaisou. Standing on the east platform, a train that looks older than the other trains will pull up, with a destination sign of "STARDEW VALLEY". None of the normal people around you take any notice of the train, acting as if there's no train at all. Getting onto the passenger car, the train whistle will blow and the train will set off. A few minutes into the ride, you'll find yourself nodding off. Don't sleep? You'll either zone out or just black out.

When you wake up, you're no longer on the train but rather in the bed of a very small and old farm house, except three more beds have also been crammed into this tiny house - meaning you'll be sharing a place with up to four other people. There's also a small bathroom attached, with only a toilet and a sink. Any stuff that you brought with you has been carefully set on the table. There's an old TV that works, but only has three working channels: a weather channel, a fortune telling channel that'll give a personal horoscope for the day, and a channel that's all about giving farming tips and cooking recipes. On the table next to any stuff you brought, there's a to-do list that reads:

• Clear farmland
• Plant new crops
• Harvest new crops
• Cleanse the land
• Restore the town
• Restore the train station

Stepping out of this home, you'll find the house sits on a farm that's been overgrown with weeds, rocks, and trees. Scattered across the farmland are other farm houses as well, where other people who arrived on the train with you have been housed. This is the farmland that was meant to be cleared, so it's best to roll up your sleeves and get to work! Work together to pull up weeds, break stones, and cut down trees. For anyone who didn't bring tools, there's two boxes outside their farmhouse. The first one holds tools: a shovel, a pick, an axe, a scythe, a hoe, a fishing pole, and a watering can that can be refilled in the pond on the farm. The second box contains a bunch of plant seeds for spring growing: parsnips, potatoes, garlic, coffee beans, green beans, strawberries, rhubarb, kale, and tulips.

Once enough farmland has been cleared, it's time to get to planting. While having gardening knowledge certainly helps doing this, farming in this realm seems a lot easier. Till the land, spread some seeds, and water of them is all that needs to happen. Just a few days of watering will all the plants need before they're ready to be harvested (though you may have to fight off crows from eating them). That said, all of this can be rather tiring work, so you'll have to watch your energy levels to make sure you don't collapse. If you do collapse, you'll wake up back in the bed you woke up in. If anyone is around to witness your collapse, they will watch a group of Junimos appear and work together to haul the unconscious body back into the farmhouse before disappearing again. Nice fellows! Anyone who stays up too late in this realm will experience the same thing. Whenever 2am rolls around in the realm? Everyone that hasn't gone to bed will immediately collapse and wake up the next morning at 6am in their bed.

That said, you'll also need to eat as time passes in the realm. This might be difficult, as there's no real kitchen in your farmhouses. The advice show on the tv will give tips on how to forage tree seeds (such as pine cones, acorns and maple seeds) and spring foraging items. But don't worry, they'll show you how to make a field snack out of all those tree seeds you foraged (the taste is...acquired). You can attempt to fish from the pond on the farmland, but besides the tiniest of fish you're more likely to fish out garbage and unopened Joja Cola cans - which tastes basically like an off-brand coca-cola. If you got hunting skills and brought your own weapons, you might be able to hunt squirrels and rabbits - just be sure to cook them over a campfire first. Basically, you're going to be roughing it those first few days.

True to Zodiac's word, a new feature can be found on the Libra app. The feature is two clocks: one that tracks the time in Kaisou and one that tracks time in the Realm. Sure enough, every day that passes in the realm is no more than 20 minutes in Kaisou.

Exploring the Valley

There's no viable way out of the realm on the farm, so you'll have to explore. The valley layout can be divided into three sections from the farm: Cindersap forest to the south, the mountain to the north, and Pelican Town to the east. However no matter which direction you go, you'll quickly notice that there's something very wrong with this realm: black and red cursed spots span across the land- sapping the color and life out of anything near them. Any living creature has either been turned to stone or mutated into monstrous versions of themselves. Likewise, directly touching any cursed spots will cause a great amount of pain and weakness through your body. This must be the foreign energy reading the Zodiac post spoke of. It'll need to be cleansed if you want this realm to turn to its former state.

Cindersap Forest: Marnie's Farm and Wizard Tower

Cindersap Forest was once a beautiful forest, full of trees great for lumber and complete with a river and lake that were once great fishing spots. There are two sources of the curse in the cindersap forest: Marnie's Ranch on the east side and the wizard tower in the west side. Marnie's Ranch has been overrun with the livestock, that have been cursed to walk on two legs and carry weapons, attacking anyone that gets near! Great! You'll have to find a way to get past these violent farm animals and get inside the ranch house. In one of the bedrooms, the curse source will be found: a pair of purple boxer shorts. Just removing them from the ranch will be enough to undo the curse and make the animals return to being normal animals-- but maybe you want to burn them for good measure. Just maybe.

Meanwhile at the Wizard's Tower, the tower has been overrun with slimes. These slimes are easy to defeat on their own, but can become dangerous when they group up or if you aren't careful. The tower itself is full of spell glyphs, spellbooks, and a cauldron with an unknown potion brewing. Be careful not to knock into any of these or you might get cursed. Defeating every slime in the tower will cleanse the tower.

Once both Marnie's Ranch and the Wizard Tower are cleared, all of Cindersap Forest will return to its former glory! You can now get actual fish from the river and lake, forage for better food, or buy a hat at the hat shop run by a mouse in the southern part of the forest (as per usual for a forest). Back on the farm, a barn will appear that's full of livestock (cows, pigs, sheep, horses, goats), as well as a chicken coop (full of chickens, ducks, rabbits, and void chickens). There's a box in each building that contains anything you'd need to care for these animals, and these animals can be cared for and used to get different animal products (milk, eggs, wool, etc). There's even machines that can be used to make cheese or mayo. Nice!

The Mountains: Robin's Carpentry Shop and the Adventurer's Guild

The mountains on the northern side of the valley were once a great place to go hiking and mining, but you'll need to clear the curse if you want it to return to that. Like Cindersap forest, there are two cursed spots: the Carpentry shop to the west, and the Adventurer's Guild to the east. At the carpentry shop, the cursed item is an unassembled ikea loft bed that you'll have to assemble -- without any instructions.

If you're not up to the challenge, the Adventurer's Guild has been overrun with skeletons to fight. Fight the skeletons, and that'll remove the curse. Much easier, right?

Once both challenges have been completed, the curse on the mountains will be lifted and you'll be free to explore. The mine is currently closed at this time, so you'll have to return to that later. However there's plenty to mine in the quarry and another fishing spot for all you fish enthusiasts. Meanwhile back on the farm, all the farmhouses will be upgraded so they will have a kitchen to actually cook things and a personal bedroom for everyone.

Pelican Town: Stardrop Saloon

A quiet rural town that too has been overtaken by the curse. In the town, there are several sources of the curse, one for each building. However before you can start to figure out where to start, your character will hear a male voice whisper in their ear to stop by the Saloon.

In the Stardrop Saloon, you'll find a mysterious man. He's a very charming and friendly man, but he does not give his name and simply states that he came to visit to have some of the fine liquor this realm offers, only to find it in such an dreadful state. Seeing that you're here to help, he says he has the perfect suggestion: a party to liven things up around here. And so you'll be invited to drink, dance, and party with this mysterious stranger. And what a party it is! With a snap of his finger, there's an endless supply of wine (juice for you any unable to drink alcohol) and party food. Musicians appear in the corner, ready to play any kind of music throughout the night. The air itself has a festive feeling to it, as if just being around this stranger causes you to get into the party mood. Characters will feel themselves loosen up, being more willing to get into the party mood and maybe say or do some things they normally wouldn't have to nerve to. Sing songs, play games, dance, tell great tales- just have the best time you can have! The night you spend partying with the stranger will be the only night that you can stay up past 2am, since what's a good party if it doesn't last until dawn?

While the stranger is happy to talk, flirt and tell stories (usually fun legends he's learned through the ages) - he'll evade any questions about himself or what he knows about the Spirit Realm. However, anyone who is possessed by a god who chats him up will have a sense that there's something familiar with about him. If he catches your staring, he'll give a wink and say "So you're with them huh? Haha, well then! Tell your patron sometime that ol' D says hello.". He does not elaborate further.

The next day you'll wake up either back in your farmhouse or wherever you passed out during the party. No matter how much you drunk, you don't have a hangover. Pelican Town is fully restored, with all the cursed spots resolved, but the mysterious stranger is nowhere to be found. With the town restored, you can now shop at the various shops. Not only that, but you can sell anything you make on the farm for money. Not bad!

Aftermath

Talking to all the townspeople who are now unfrozen will reveal that they are normal townspeople who don't seem to have much sense of what's life like outside their valley. They also only vaguely recall the curse as a bad storm. If you haven't destroyed those purple shorts, you'll find that they belong to the old mayor Lewis, who left his lucky shorts by accident after an, ahem, evening with the Ranch owner Marnie.

I warned you you should've burned those shorts.

Once every region of the Valley is cleansed, the Junomino will appear on the farm to thank everyone! They will inform you that they've repaired the train that'll take them back to Kaisou. While there's still more work that needs to be done in the valley, that can wait for another time. The train station can be found up in the mountains, north of the Carpentry shop. Riding the train will return everyone back to Kaisou, safe and sound. If you had to the Zodiac office, they'll be extremely pleased at your efforts and reward you with money. They'll also inform you that this particular gate has been successfully tethered- meaning Stardew Valley will always be a place you can return to, should you ever want to revisit the simple life.

OOC Notes

The dominant element this month is earth! Anyone with an affinity to the fire element will find themselves boosted throughout the month. This could mean a boost to their power, having more energy, feeling more inspired with creativity, having better luck on different attempts -- the boost can manifest in all sorts of different ways. By contrast, anyone with an affinity for water will be experiencing the opposite. Perhaps their powers will be weaker, they have less energy, they're having a creative block or general worse luck - again it can manifest in all sorts of way and players are free to play with this mechanic as they'd like.

Regarding housing of the farmhouses, whoever you share a farmhouse with is up to you! There are a maximum of four occupants per house. However for the sake of building CR, only one of your roommates can be someone your character resides with back in Kaisou. If you want a random pair up, please comment to the roommate finder on the OOC plotting. If you rather not find a roommate and handwave them being somewhere in the farm, you can do that too! It's purely optional.

[After Rhel's rather colorful explosion about the Gold Saucer on the monthly Zodiac is Useless post, Rhel is largely choosing to ignore it for now because honestly? She does not have the money to waste playing Triple Triad right now. So instead! She will be attending so many EEC lessons on how magic works in this world. At least one day a week, she can be found carrying five or six notebooks filled with notes and whatnot as she leaves the campus. She may also be furiously looking something up on her phone, trying to balance all of that while keeping a grip on her black mage's rod, so she may run into you! Oops.]

Cabins | Closed to Cabin 3 (Bruno, Rutile, Alberto)

[Hi boys, hope you guys don't mind Rhel taking one look at this horribly tiny, kitchen-less cabin, and getting a Look in her eyes that might be vaguely familiar to anyone who has ever dealt with a matriarch type. It is the look of a woman who has seen a problem, and decided that she will be Fixing This Problem.

The problem here being "oh Twelve do any of these people know how to handle themselves in this environment they all look rather soft".]

I don't suppose any of you know how to start a fire? Or hunt? Fish, mayhaps? Cook over an open flame?

[Please at least one of you know how to do that last one, Rhel hates cooking.]

Forest | OTA | Possible Spoilers for Shadowbringers, CW: mentions of odd scarring

[At some point, Rhel will be found in the forest, near the ranch. She's spending a lot of time casting a Fire or Blizzard at the walking farm animals and then retreating, since she doesn't have anyone here to distract them while she blasts them, but that may not be what you notice:

Rhel, usually, is covered from the neck down in long sleeves and long skirts or pants. The forest is too overgrown for that nonsense, however, meaning Rhel is now just in her shorts and an undershirt as she tries to fight these things.

It means that it is very, very easy to see that Rhel is covered in odd, spiderweb scars that in places look almost like burn scars (and one very obvious arrow scar on her left thigh). And if you notice that, and happen to catch Rhel when she's taking a break from trying to solo this dungeon, you'll realize something else:

Rhel limps, favoring that scarred leg. She just usually uses her rod as support.]

[ Alberto has never dealt with a matriarch type — but it's a safe guess Rhel has never dealt with an "Alberto" type. By the time that party night rolls around, she is gonna be ready for it — their whole cabin will be. Though while he is indeed a little doughy, it's true, he does at least know a fair bit about taking care of himself... if what he does can be called that. What he lacks in training, he makes up for in experience. Sort of. Poorly. It's not good.

But while he's probably not the one she was expecting to answer Yes with such eager enthusiasm, being by far the youngest in the room, he's clearly proud of it when she asks this question, instantly turning away from his half-unpacked bag on his new bed and literally spinning on his heel with one leg stuck out straight for idle dramatics, incredibly over-animated and over-excited as he points at her in response. ]

Yes! I can do all that stuff! I'm great at fishing and firing and cooking and—! Well...— Wait, no, no, heh, I can hunt, too, yeah. Pretty much~

[ ...He can hunt snails. He's counting it. He places his hand on his hip with a confident tilt of his head, standing contraposto comfortably, waving his other hand out to gesture nonchalantly as he rests on his answer. But despite how willing he obviously is to help, and his enthused claims of expertise, the smug smirk his bright smile melts into somehow doesn't inspire confidence... ]

This nerd. You can find him shopping probably at least once a week, always with Julian. They go through vegetables a lot, okay?

Guess who's also a nerd who, twice a week, has a stall at the farmer's market? Yeah, that's right, and maybe it explains why he's been working so hard. On Saturdays, in the general part of the market, August has some of his bags and simpler-to-make items on sale, very clearly using this to advertise for his clothes making. He even has a few of his other pieces on display!

On Sundays, though, he's down near the more supernatural stalls, offering tarot readings.]

Clearing the Land

[August takes one look at all of this and just. Finds a stump to sit on.]

Yeah, no, I'm gonna find cloth and straw and shit and like. Make scarecrows or some shit, since I can actually do that. Call me when you need someone to not nearly pass out from trying to lift a pickaxe or whatever.

[Mirabel sits down near August, looking a bit different from the last time he saw her in person. She fails to realize that this might be alarming.]

Mendelson | Alchemy Stars | OTA

i. 2am at Denny's

[It would probably be no surprise to anyone who knows him that Mendelson is in this particular Denny's. The fact that time doesn't pass while he's in there makes it a perfect place for him to hole up and sit for hours with the same cup of occasionally refilled coffee, just decompressing and sorting through his thoughts.

A great place, really. One that would become one of his regular haunts from the first time he accidentally stumbles across it while inexplicably hungry in the middle of the night.

He doesn't expect anyone he knows to find him here, because he never really expects anyone he knows to be that interested in where he is at any given time. So imagine his surprise when he feels himself being watched and looks up to find someone observing him. He pulls his cup closer to him like some kind of strange reflex and clears his throat.]

Um... hello.

ii. The Dream of the Simple Life [Pt 1]

[If not for the refurbishment currently going on in his store, Mendelson would not have ventured towards doing this at all.

When he suddenly wakes up in a cramped little farmhouse with his last memory being of sitting down on a train he does what most people with extremely nervous dispositions would do and immediately bolts out of the building, slamming the door shut behind him with enough force to rattle some dust out of the rafters.

Anyone who happens to follow him from inside or who finds him outside will discover the poor man leaning on a fence post dealing with what looks very much like a developing panic attack. Or maybe he just moved so fast that he's now having some trouble catching his breath? Anyone venturing closer would find that he has his eyes tightly shut and is softly cursing through a tight jaw and gritted teeth.]

iii. The Dream of the Simple Life [Pt 2]

[With the initial shock of the arrival here dealt with, Mendelson (perhaps surprisingly to those who know him) does not simply sit in the farmhouse and isolate himself. He timidly joins the people working and spends a morning helping to clear the farmland of weeds and rocks with a kind of energy that his obviously frail body doesn't look capable of exerting.

When he gets to early afternoon though, the poor care he has taken of himself even with his willingness to work catches up with him. While he's on his way to (finally) get himself a drink of water he stumbles mid-step and drops down to one knee, immediately flushing scarlet with embarrassment.

He tries to scramble back up (and he sees those odd little creatures lurking about ready to cart him off if he passes out, thank you) but it isn't as easy as he would like it to be to pull himself back to his feet.

Maybe someone should give the guy a lecture about basic nutrition and hydration, because he's obviously never heard it before.]

iv. Exploring the Valley

What is this?

[He learned his lesson. By the time the exploring is underway Mendelson does have a few good meals inside him and the odd - and alarming - way that this place forces him to go to sleep regardless of whether he wants to or not has left him relatively well-rested.

As he speaks he's crouching by a very strange-looking black and red patch on the ground not too far outside of the farm.

Mendelson makes a face as he looks at it, reaches out a hand as if to touch, then... thinks better of it. His fingers twitch back and he looks up as he hears footsteps approaching.]

Ah... You've noticed it, too?

v. Cindersap Forest

[Of all the things to find...

The loud mooing hadn't really tipped him off. This is a farm after all and surely farm animals are to be expected. It's when the first bipedal bovine appears carrying a pitchfork that he realises something is in fact very wrong here.

For a moment he freezes in place. Mendelson is not made for this kind of thing and his mind immediately begins to race as his heartbeat pounds loudly in his ears. He looks at the person next to him, then back to the--

Oh, god, there's more of them.

[ Someone who is likely just minding their own business might come across a painted wooden egg somewhere. If they are curious enough to open it up, they might find a slip of paper with information on it, and sometimes that information might be about one Luisa Madrigal. Most of the information is fairly harmless, even a bit silly: things like 'Luisa Madrigal is 19 years old', 'Luisa Madrigal has magical strength', 'Luisa Madrigal likes unicorns', or 'Luisa Madrigal likes pretty dresses'.

But every once in a while, someone might find an egg with some information that isn't like the others: 'Luisa Madrigal is possessed by a panther.'

That is...a bit more concerning. Anyone who might be curious or worried enough may catch sight of Luisa around the city, especially around the Enki Education Center for some lessons and information. ]

Clearing the Land

[ Here, Luisa is really in her element.

Not only is the farm and surrounding area a little closer to what she's used to back in the Encanto, but helping clear the land is what she does. And she's more than willing to help out and clear as much space as possible.

She doesn't even use the tools provided; she breaks and lifts stones, uproots trees, and pulls up stumps all with her bare hands, and she picks up stray branches and pulls up weeds easily, and can carry a fair amount of debris. When there is enough space of land cleared, she also helps till the soil to prepare for planting crops, but mostly she focuses on cleaning up the land.

If she sees someone struggling with any task, she'll make her way over with a smile. ] Hey! Need any help?

[ She does have a tendency to work a bit too hard, though. It might be a good idea to remind her to take a break. ]

Cabins - Closed to Cabin 7

[ Luisa's biggest problem is actually a small one - namely that the cabins are pretty small. Sharing a living space with several people is one thing when you live in a large house like Casita, but these cabins are much more cramped. Luisa is thankful that she's sharing a cabin with Dolores, who at least is used to her, but she can't help worrying that her size is a bit inconvenient and takes up too much room in the little house.

So Luisa spends as much time outside as she possibly can so that she isn't in the way. And when she is in the cabin, she does her best to stick to a corner or the wall to give the others more space.

It's hard to avoid others all the time in such a confined area, though, and despite her best efforts she still bumps into them every so often. ] Oh gosh, I'm so sorry. Uh, here, I'll just...get out of your way.

Marnie's Farm

[ The first time it had been an accident; Luisa had just been out in the forest trying to forage when she'd wandered a bit too close to the ranch and ran into some of the cursed livestock. At first she hadn't wanted to fight, but...the need to protect herself was suddenly overwhelming. Fortunately they were nothing compared to a dragon, and as much as she tried not to use it, her additional strength made beating the cursed animals easier.

And...well, Luisa largely hates violence. Because of her strength, she always had to be careful, keep herself and her temper in check to make sure not to hurt the people around her, and the last thing she ever wanted to do was cause someone harm. As much as she's been told that she may have to fight to protect her family and her home, she has always dreaded a time when that would happen.

But lately things have been...so difficult. It was bad enough that she had come to this world having to fight, and trouble has only been getting worse from there. And even earlier in the month, learning she'd been asleep for three days, in addition to everything else going on, has left her upset and frustrated, and she wasn't sure how to deal with it all.

And really, she still doesn't really want to hurt these farm animals. They are technically cursed, and it isn't their fault. But Luisa still finds herself foraging in the forest, heading around the ranch area. And if she runs into more of the attacking creatures, well...she has to defend herself, after all. ]

Party

[ Luisa isn't entirely in the mood for a party, but it's hard to resist the lure of it. And as she stands off to the side, watching people having fun, she does start to relax a little, and even steps out onto the dance floor every once in a while.

Mostly though she prefers to hang back, sitting at a table with a drink (non-alcoholic; she's old enough to drink back home, but not in the city. She isn't sure if that same rule applies in a world in the Spirit Realm or not, but better safe than sorry). She's mostly content to watch, but doesn't mind making conversation to anyone who joins her at the table. ]

[Napstablook is no farmer, but the pressure is there to help maintain the land and help it prosper. So they see tree stumps that need cut and rocks that need to be broken, and well... they try their best, they really do. Napstablook picks up a hammer, tries to swing it... and it swings right out of their hands - hopefully you weren't in the way! Napstablook also trips over the rock they were trying to break.

[Something about farming is oddly familiar to Napstablook, and they're not sure why. They remember something... an underground cave of some kind. A snail farm. A memory that shouldn't be there but is, and it doesn't make any sense.

He's taken over one of the booth's of the Denny's, papers covering nearly every inch of the table and a laptop that he's pushed just out of reach. He's sketching something down in a notebook, pausing every so often to look up, squinting at the staff and other customers as if calculating something in his head, and turning back to his work. After a moment he sighs and flips the page, starting over again.

At least he has plenty of time to get this perfect...]

[He was wary about this gate from the get go - work clothes and gardening tools? That’s just asking for a bad time for Idia, but he finds himself boarding that stupid old train anyways. Closing his eyes and then opening them to find himself in some dinky farmhouse crammed full of too many beds is a bit disconcerting, but it’s more annoying than anything. Just the spirit realm doing spirit realm things, as always.

Still sucks, though. Worse still is that he’s not alone, and everything in this shack is so dated. That TV is probably older than he is! Disgusting.

…He’s not sure if the fact he recognizes the only other person in the room is going to make however long they’re stuck here more or less bearable. Hard to say for certain, really.]

The man at the bar leaves Idia visibly unsettled - anyone near enough can probably hear their brief, strained conversation. Kind of a conversation. More Idia feeling there’s something not quite right here, and the way this stranger goes “Really? That guy?” is enough to make him want to find somewhere to hide so people stop perceiving him.]

What does that even mean, anyways…

[Still, he can’t worry for too long. There’s other things in the saloon to catch his eye, and mysterious men are kind of a dime a dozen these days. He’s surprised to find the saloon has an arcade - everything here really is ancient, huh? He’s never actually seen an arcade cabinet in person before, the fad well and truly over by the time he was old enough for his parents to let him out of their sight.

Now he just needs a challenger - or, well. He needs to be able to convince the people around him to challenge him.]

[ Phantom is somewhat more used to the spirit realm's bullshit by virtue of Zodiac hiring him as a freelancer, but this really takes the cake on many levels. He's trapped (?) in a small room. By itself this doesn't bother him, because he likes to hide in corners. The problem is that there's someone else inside the room with him, and it makes him feel incredibly exposed... until he sees Idia's face, recognizing him by that and not his incredibly blue and fiery hair.

Oh. At least he wouldn't have to suppress the constant instinct to eliminate strangers in his personal space by any means necessary. Idia is not the only one with appearance changes either - Phantom's lynx ears are usually hidden under his hood, but his cloak has come undone, leaving them in full view.]

[ It's a sound, some sort of acknowledgement that he's heard Idia speak. However, he still needs a few moments to put together a response. Instead, he looks around the cabin, noting the dated TV left on the worn table. ]

While Mirabel works as hard as she can, some days you'll find her... just asleep in the middle of work. Or working more slowly than usual - like she's struggling quite a bit.]

[Mirabel has discovered something fantastic - the more she relaxes and works in the fields, her fur seems to... shrink a bit? She definitely notices her hand turning more into a human hand, rather than her usual wolf paw. Excited that the curse might be dissipating, she tries to force herself to turn back into a human...

... and manages to accidentally turn herself into full wolf instead. The first day, she absolutely hates it. By the second day... Well, there's something kind of fun about running around chasing things. She can be running through the fields, and if there's a chicken loose, Mirabel finds herself compelled to bark at it and give chase. Hope that wasn't your chicken!]

I. Egg Hunt (& Dennys)
[There's a few wooden eggs scattered throughout Kaisou containing intel about Jun. Most of it is pretty innocuous or easy to guess: Jun is an otaku, Jun writes Demon Prince/Crow fanfic, Jun wears heels to make himself taller. One egg, however, is a little strange: Jun is wanted by Krusnik.

Anyone who wants to find Jun can find him in the usual spots: college campus, his place, and the coffee shop. He's also taken some days to visiting the strange denny's, intentionally ordering the weirder item menus to try them out]

II. Farming
[This is quite a change from the usual Spirit Realm faire, but Jun can't say he minds it. He's always enjoyed gardening, and this was just on a larger scale. He's happy to help with the the planting and caring for the plants, being in good spirits as he works. ]

Haha, I can't wait to see what these look like when they sprout.

[As for spots where the farmland still needs clearing? Despite him being, well, tiny and built like a nerd- he seems to be keeping up with the manual labor pretty well. Even using the pickaxe that's half his size doesn't seem to bother him very much. Weird.]

III. Dinner time (Locked to Cabin 10)
[Jun's not a bad cook by any means. He's actually pretty good! But unfortunately, Jun is also prone to curiosity and a strong willingness to try out new things. How will you know if you like something until you try it, after all! So dwellers of cabin 10 will come back to find themselves with bars made of tree nuts like the tv instructed, and "salads" made of foraged items - aka dandelions, daffodils, leaks and mushrooms. Are those safe to eat? We just don't know. ]

He thoroughly enjoyed being kidnapped by the Fae, ended up helping them around the castle and the kitchen, entirely of his own volition. So another chance to show off how he can be exceedingly helpful and strong and competent...? This is his time to shine.

...Except it's a little hit or miss which way the light falls, ahem. Clearing land, enthusiasm counts for only so much, and it leads him into taking on too much weight at once and fumbling with uprooted trees and whatnot. He is surprisingly strong for his frame and age — stronger than most human kids his age, that's for sure. Buuut balance is something else entirely. Kid's gonna hurt himself trying to carry half a tree trunk. Someone interrupt him before he falls over. Really, he runs into the same problem harvesting crops. He piles his baskets of crops way too high, illogically full, and then there's vegetables rolling all over the place, as he overshoots his capability to the point of comedy... He's got the chops, just not the grace or foresight — or guidance. Help a kid out? ]

[ Okay, so, now, sincerely, this is Alberto's time to shine, certainly: fishing and foraging! There's nothing he's better at! He lived on an uninhabited island with nothing but pure nature to live off of, like, all his life! He's got this! He totally knows how to feed himself like this, though feeding others like this is a first. But he's willing to taste-test anything unfamiliar to him, when in doubt.

...which is exactly how he's accidentally poisoned himself many times in his young life. He lives strictly by a "fuck around and find out" code. Find Alberto in the forests, collecting mushrooms and morels and all sorts of berries. Eeeven things that clearly aren't listed in their guide to foraging. If you happen to find yourself foraging along with him, or nearby enough within earshot, he'll call out to whoever's closest with an unusually responsible sense of at least asking someone's opinion before putting something unknown in his mouth...: ]

From seemingly nowhere, and for effectively no reason, he pulls out a thin piece of fabric to use as a headband, and stretches out his arms before him, cracking his knuckles with an unnecessary little heave of a sigh to show off... ]

[ Alberto's cabinmates are guaranteed an authentic Alberto Scorfano Experience every single day. The boy is enthusiastic and pleasant, from start to finish, but... with every passing day, something's just weirder and weirder about him; always strange revelations, something basic he should know but doesn't, worrisome questions, odd habits... But in the end, most of it is probably pretty endearing. He means well, that's the bottom line. And even though he's openly and proudly fourteen years old, in a way that only a fourteen-year-old can brag about their age, when it gets down to his daily functionality, he's somehow simultaneously much younger and older. He insists on taking care of himself, of helping others, but his actual knowledge is... questionable. Regardless, for the most part, socially stunted and peculiar and hyperactive and all as he is, he's an entertaining roommate, if not sometimes, uh... a little Too Much? Y-Yeah. Often too much. ]

[ Even before they have a kitchen, Alberto's likely the first one out making a campfire outside around dawn... almost only so he can make espresso with the metal espresso pot and supplies he brought with him. He brought very few clothes, but espresso. Priorities. He totally googled how to make espresso on an open flame and everything. He's more than happy to offer all three roommates some every morning, but if they accept... they'll have to deal with Espresso Alberto. And they already deal with normal Alberto. He's cheerful enough as it is, seemingly waking up with full energy regardless, even though it's barely daybreak. So they should weigh their options. ]

2. evenings at home;

[ His roommates will be relieved to find that even Alberto relaxes. Come the end of each day, he's actually pretty tired, which balances out to, like, normal-people normal-energy levels, most nights... Once everyone's together in the evenings, if someone is playing the weather channel on the television, he'll drop what he's doing and listen up, showing an unusual but obvious interest in rain that his roommates are welcome to ask him about — though not guaranteed to receive an honest answer. If someone tunes into the fortune-telling channel, they'll hear a lighthearted yet dismissive protest almost right away: ]

Pffft, turn the channel, will ya! I don't wanna hear my horoscope. The future should be a surprise.


3. late-night creative;

[ But really, despite how energetic and social he is in the mornings, most nights...? Alberto occupies his own time quite effortlessly. He's brought a wealth of entertainment for himself, instead of more basic necessities like, y'know... enough clothes... Every night, he'll flop into his bed with slightly over-the-top theatrics, but then mostly keep himself busy, unless he's had a particularly interesting day he needs to detail to anyone who'll listen, or... elected to drink an afternoon espresso. But usually, he seems quite used to entertaining himself quietly alone. Not always exactly quietly, though, being fonder of music now that he has endless music at his fingertips on his cell phone, but he's got enough manners to ask permission to play his music aloud, lacking any headphones. ]

...Ehi, uh— Can I play music while I draw? On the Everything Machine. You mind?

[ He gestures to the phone lying in front of him in his bed, sprawled out on his belly, pillow wedged under his chest comfortably, kicking his legs idly behind him. He's surrounded by a spread of colored pencils and markers and a folder full of disparate looseleaf paper he's brought with him, several pages of random drawings already scattered about where his pillow should be. He's clearly, uh, a prolific artist, with a very... distinctive style... Ahem. Should any of his roommates pass by and sneak a peek at what he's drawing... they might be surprised to see— what... m-might be themselves...? It's as sweet as it is disconcerting, um. Y'all got your own fanart.

Meantime, whatever he's up to, his roommates get to enjoy the energizing stylings of some classic upbeat 1960s Italian pop music before bed. Alberto will idly (but audibly) hum or whistle along to the music as he draws and bounces his legs back and forth in bed, for the rest of this this dubiously artistic little domestic moment... which is likely either really cute or really annoying. ]


4. perfecting your pasta;

[ Once life has started to improve in Stardew Valley, and a kitchen has finally materialized in their house, Alberto wastes no time putting it to good use once he gets home from working that same night. He pulls out a whole bunch of provisions, in fact having brought his own pasta, olive oil, salt and pepper, pots and pan... the only amount of foresight he's shown this entire time. He's so fast to collect everything he needs to make his own his pesto from scratch, plus green beans and potatoes that they'd grown in the garden, feeling on some self-sufficient high he's never felt, frankly. He's cooking enough for all four of them plus leftovers; it's a meal he's confident he can make by this point, one he's practiced many times since being spirited away, living on his own again, and one that will forever hold a special place in his heart: trenette al pesto. Simple, easy, fast, but rich and flavorful and satisfying...

Which Alberto is convinced is made all the more true if you sing to your pasta. Massimo taught him that. The food tastes better if you sing opera to it while you're cooking. That's just a fact, as far as Alberto's concerned. As soon as he notices when one of his roommates comes home, he'll call out to them from the kitchen with a prideful trill in his voice: ]

[ The whole home smells of pasta and garlic and olive oil, and Alberto clearly has some radio station or playlist of classical Italian opera playing, wafting through the tiny cabin even more than the fragrant smells of the meal steady on its way. Off and on, Alberto sings along nonchalantly, serenading the food as he goes about his work. ]

[The lure of a farmer's market isn't something that Dolores can avoid for long and on at least one weekend - but, really, probably all of them - the young woman can be found perusing the stalls and looking at the fruits and vegetables on offer. There are some that she has never seen before and it's difficult not to pick up everything so she can examine it more closely.]

What did you say this was?

[She's pointing to a leafy-looking thing and looking intently at the person on the stall. The bag over her arm is already packed two-thirds full of different fruits and vegetables that she wants to try, and maybe her aunt will have some ideas when it comes to cooking with them?

When she turns away from the stall she's bright eyed and eager and... not looking where she's going as she bumps right into the person who was passing by behind her.

ii. The Dream of the Simple Life [Pt 1] - Closed to Cabin 7

[She should probably have been more wary about this given what had happened to Luisa and Mirabel in the last strange place that popped up, but the dream they had all had about what was waiting for them in this one seemed so peaceful and harmless that it was hard to think of it being any kind of danger.

And there's no better way to draw in a Madrigal than to talk about needing to protect and save your home, right?

Being conscious for the train ride might have been nice, since it's the first time Dolores has been on a train, but she quickly dozes off in spite of herself and wakes up... in a bed? At first she isn't sure what happened - had she been dreaming? She sits up with a puzzled frown and an entirely understandable pang of nerves, looking around the room she's in.]

Ah...

[Hard work is something Dolores can do! She grabs up a few tools as soon as she finds where they are and marches off to the farmland to get to it without a word of complaint.

With seemingly boundless energy the young woman systematically clears a section of the farmland of weeds and stones and then sits down on a tree stump to look through a few of the planting options. Her lips purse and she waves down the nearest person passing by, holding up a couple of seed packets.]

Rhubarb or strawberries?

iv. Cindersap Forest

[She's not made for fighting but is all too happy to gratefully move into the areas where the curse has been cleared from and explore what is on offer there.

She can be found fishing - or doing what looks like attempting fishing, as she's never really done it before - sitting on the edge of a bridge and lightly kicking her heels against the side. Even when she's been sat there for a while she hasn't actually caught anything and looks more like she's lapsed into thought.

The line starts twitching, but it doesn't look like she's noticed.]

v. Pelican Town

[It's a party! Madrigals love a party and Dolores isn't an exception even with her sensitive hearing. She gets herself a drink and isn't shy at all about dancing with anyone who looks like they might not object to a partner for a turn or two.

When she isn't dancing or drumming out Colombian folk rhythms with her hands on any available surface, she's draped over a chair with a glass in her hand and a smile on her face, lifting her drink up to anyone who happens to catch her eye.]

[Who knows where Usagi heard a rumor that there were monsters in the forest by Marnie's farm? No one's quite sure. But what she does know is that she can find a way to help here, even if she's not great at this whole farming thing. She can at least make this easier on everyone by helping out where she can.

So she'll transform into Eternal Sailor Moon, and something feels different about it now. She's sure she can help purify the animals.]

[Pulses of pink light stream out from her staff. It's entirely possible that one of those pulses, reflected from a window, finds those...extremely cursed underwear and burns it.]

EGG HUNT: (OTA)
[Some of the wooden eggs that can be found contain various facts about Katida. These are really just ordinary things, like "Katida loves apples", or "Katida likes reading fantasy manga and playing jrpgs" (with "especially if the plot involves dragons" in smaller print below that), or "Katida has three different nicknames", and then there's this oddball: "Katida has embarrassed herself at no less than 60% of the family reunions she has been part of. Do not ask, because she will not explain."

Weird.

As for where she can be found: outside of school, she's usually just at home, which some of her friends do know where she lives, but when she's not there, she can often be found at a certain little restaurant that happens to be only slightly off of the route that she normally takes to get to or from the school itself.]

PULLING WEEDS: (OTA)
[After being transported to the valley and doing some initial things to get herself situated, Kat gets out onto the field.

Like most things, this is something that Kat can't say she's used to. She's decided to do what she can to help out, though, and is currently pulling up some of the weeds that nobody else has gotten around to yet. Any particularly-stubborn ones are a bit of a struggle; she's not exactly a strong girl and even at a casual glance she'll look like more of a bookish type.

The weird purple owl that showed up at her window at the start of the month is following along, trying to grab at what it can as well. It has amount of success at this, but anything that Kat has trouble with herself is similarly difficult for it.]

CABIN 12: (Emma, Nox, Chongyun)
[Later into the evening on the first day, Kat's feeling a little wiped, so she's just lying on her bed and staring up at the ceiling, refusing to sleep this early but also not feeling like doing much else for the moment.

Or, she would be staring at the ceiling if the owl didn't decide to perch itself on the headboard and stare back. Seriously, what's up with this bird, and why does it feel familiar to her, as if she recognizes it from somewhere? She'd never seen anything like it before.

So, if any of the people she's sharing this cabin with are in, they'll find her having a staring contest with a bird.]

WIZARD TOWER: (OTA)
[Something about the tower had piqued her curiosity, so at some point after the first day, despite her general unpreparedness—she has the owl accompanying her, but she's also carrying the broom she'd acquired on the same day that she met it, and that's basically it—she makes her way there.

When she does get inside, the slime infestation is, well, it's rather obvious. More than obvious. The things are everywhere. Some of them take immediate notice of her and start to approach, but a hard golf swing of that broom sends them flying.

...and also draws the immediate attention of more of them.

The whole situation really just snowballs from there; for each slime that gets smacked into next week, another two or three take its place. The owl is trying to help by attacking some of the slimes itself, and a number of the ones that it lands any solid hit on take on a purple tinge—a different shade than the purple that some of the slimes already have—and sort of just writhe around a bit before they stop moving and are similarly replaced by more of them.

It's not especially long before Kat finds herself completely surrounded by the things. They've proven easy to dispatch even without any particular skill, but that's individually or in smaller groups. A whole cluster of them will probably be a different story.]

[Lita wanders into the Denny's largely because it's been awhile since she's actually been to one, and once she's in there it doesn't take too long for her to realize that time doesn't seem to be passing while she's in there.

So after some moments of internal debate, she leaves.

And then she comes back with her phone and a notebook, starting up a video on the phone—a recording of a recent class from the look of things, if anyone manages to catch a glimpse of it—and taking a handful of notes while watching it, then watches it again just in case she'd missed anything, before moving on to some completely unrelated videos.

She also orders an omelette because not only is it always 2 a.m. at this particular Denny's, it's also always breakfast at any Denny's.]

AFTER ARRIVAL (CABIN 11): (Roxas, Tabia, Yuu)
[Lita's pretty used to having to share a space with others, and also used to having a limited amount of space to herself as a direct result of it, so it doesn't take her long to decide how to get herself set up at and around the bed that she woke up on: she mostly just takes the bag that she'd packed—which ended up on the table along with everyone else's things at some point, though she doesn't remember putting it there herself—and stuffs it under the bed in question and considers the problem solved.

With that done, she then unceremoniously rolls herself back onto the bed to rest a bit. She doesn't need to sleep, she doesn't think, but she's been feeling a little out of sorts the past couple weeks and has been lacking her usual energy.]

WORKING THE FIELD: (OTA)
[Lita's a fairly active girl, so she thinks she'll have no real problem with a number of the tasks that need to be done on the farm itself.

Problem is, she's not exactly feeling better than she was before, so after spending some time cutting down any of the taller grass or weeds, and after taking a pick to a bunch of the larger rocks that are just scattered all over the place, she is feeling one-hundred percent beat.

Seeing an obvious need to go take a rest, she starts back toward the cabin, and along the way—

Flop.

Facefirst into the dirt.

Well, that ain't good.]

Clearing The Land

Around the cabins
After a long day of working you might be starving, and while there may not be a regular kitchen in the cabins Julieta only really needs her mortar and pestle, a table, and an open flame. It helps that she has a ridiculous knowledge of herbs, spices, and (thanks to her eldest) plants.

But, since Julieta cannot hunt, it's vegetarian tonight! A warm mushroom stew, dandelion tea, salad, and anything else that can be foraged. If brought eggs, milk, or meat later, she can cook those too.

And in true Julieta fashion, she's made enough to feed a small army. She looks up and smiles.

"Come come come, there's enough for everyone, this I know for a fact, come eat. Tell me what you think!"


(OOC: Julieta has her full healing abilities back, if you would like, anything you eat can heal any and all scrapes, cuts, aches, pains, and lots of other things your character might have instantly. Regardless of healing, it will taste like love is cooked into the meal.)

Tree Things - Closed to Sora

[An axe seems like something good to use. With the extra strength he's been granted, Roxas feels like this would be a good task for him. It feels somehow natural to be hacking away at a tree. Chunks of it flying about as the axe meets the trunk over and over till the whole thing falls down. For once he feels useful when it comes to doing these tasks.]

Okay...

[He should go help clear out more trees. Yet taking a rest seems fine. He's just short enough to lean against the axe and lean his chin on his hands, taking a moment to listen to nature. Yep... he prefers city sounds. This is weird.]

Attempt at Planting - Open

[The assortment of seeds is something else. More so since... Roxas doesn't know what a couple of these things even are. Anyone who comes to look at what to plant will have a confused blonde looking at them.]

Do you... know what a rhubarb or a parsnip are?

[After things have been explained, there will be an attempt to plant. Though he will watch someone before trying. You just need to stick things in dirt... right? Hopefully whoever he is standing behind won't mind the hovering guy.]

[You might catch Katsuki around the farmer's market at some points. Looking for fresh ingredients to prepare meals with. College life means it's not always in the cards to eat the way he likes. So when he has a little extra cash and time for it, he's going to go all out.

He also plans to check out that hot spring! He hasn't been to one in a long time. And he could use a nice hot soak.]


Egg Hunt:

[You may, if you're picking up those eggs, find a few about Katsuki. Katsuki Bakugou is a college student. Katsuki Bakugou likes spicy food. Katsuki Bakugou can play the drums. Most of them aren't too crazy. But you may also find one stating Katsuki Bakugou is possessed by a kitsune. If you're looking for possessed people for some reason that could be of interest to you.

He's also picking up lots of eggs because he's looking for money in them. So if there's something interesting he might find about you...]


Clearing The Land:

[He takes to clearing land pretty well. Making steady progress. As he works, he keeps things neat. Chopping the trees up and stacking the logs in neat piles near the field. Same with rubble from broken rocks and the cleared tall grass and weeds. If you need any of that stuff for anything you're doing he'll share.

He takes frequent breaks. Pausing to sit on nearby stumps to rest. If he sees you overdoing it he might get on your case. There's enough work to do without hauling unconscious bodies back to cabins, damnit!]


Foraging:

[On some days you might find him foraging. Carefully collecting the things in their foraging guide. Mostly mushrooms. He steers clear of the lakes and he doesn't attempt fishing. But he might offer to trade some of his foraged goods for a fish. Or offer to cook your fish if you'll share.]



Cooking Dinner:

[Once the sun starts getting lower in the sky, Katsuki sets to work building a fire pit and getting some food cooking. If you've been hunting or fishing or foraging and want to contribute, he'll cook it up for you as long as you're willing to share. But to start with he's making some mushroom soup. Foraging those had proven easiest of the food options that wasn't field snacks.]

[The eggs scattered around mostly caught Souta's eye from their bright colors and beautiful designs. Since he has school, he can't just go wandering off to hunting them. But just picking up the ones he stumbled upon along his day gets him at least the start of a decent collection.]

[He's sitting on a bench after school, enjoying the spring air while looking over one of his newly acquired egg. As he turns it in his hands, he manages to pop the wooden egg open to find... chocolate!]

So cool! [A surprise gift! He starts rooting through his back for other eggs when he stops to think.] Is it actually alright to take these?

[What if they are for someone else?]

[There are, unbeknownst to him, also eggs about Souta. Folks might find ones with paper that say things like "Souta still reads picture books," "Souta sleeps with a blanket." And if found after the Spirit Realm visit, they might find "Souta talks to flowers."]

Before Arrival

[He wakes from the dream feeling... peculiar. It feels strangely familiar, though Souta can't pin down why.]

[Those who see him at the Zodiac Office can probably tell he is new to all this. He's staring around the space with an air of wonder and contained excitement. The researchers' words don't make much sense to him yet, but he listens with rapt attention.]

[Moving over to the supplies, he gawks at the mix of weapons and tools.]

Cabins (Closed to Cabin 1: Elliot, Amal, Miyako)

[Waking up in a different location than you fell asleep is a little disorienting, but Souta is far too excited to let that get him down. Once up, the boy softly walks around the cabin, checking the place inside and out. He waits until others are up before trying the TV.]

[If one of his cabin-mates approaches, Souta will give them a slightly awkward but gentle smile.]

Looks like we'll be camping together.

Dream of the Simple Life

[Souta isn't terribly strong, so there's only so much he can do to help clear the land. Still, he does what he can, gathering small rocks and sticks into a pile.]

[A few 'days' later as the plants grow taller, Souta wakes up to water them first thing. He goes from row to row, crouching next the plants and smiling.]

[His voice is soft but not hard to hear. He repeats this greeting as he goes about his task, using the watering can on each row. When he reaches the potato plants, he pauses, suddenly seeming very attentive. It looks like he's listening to the plants.]

It's easy enough to settle back into this mindset, of needing to be up and about, making sure all the chore and errands of the day are done the moment they have daylight.

It also helps that, compared to a lot of the others here, she has far too much stamina and endurance so it's not like farming will even tire her out.

This morning it seems like the crops are growing in well, so she gets to work to clearing the rest of the farmland - they cleared enough to plant some things, but it would be good to get more space. So by the time anyone else steps out of the cabin, Ana is hard at work removing weeds and moving rocks; hair tied up and out of the way for once. And when she hears someone step out, she perks up before giving a cheery wave.]

[ Minato is sort of passively collecting eggs. He even has a basket for them, because that is what you do when you go hunting for Easter eggs. So you can find him sort of wandering around town, collecting any strange eggs, and opening them. If you want him to find a fact about you, respond accordingly. His entire reaction will be: ]

[ If you want to find a fact about him, it can range from Minato Arisato likes hamburgers to facts about his taste in music to the fact he is possessed by a shinigami. Minato won't react particularly badly to any of that being shared. If you'd like a random fact, respond opening an egg! ]

2. FIELD SNACKS

[ The taste is acquired. Minato has acquired it, and if he sees anyone making faces when they try eating their field snacks, he will magnanimously volunteer: ]

I can finish that for you. [ Wow. So selfless. His stomach definitely isn't growling and he definitely isn't looking at that snack with the voracious hunger of a black hole. ]

3. PARTY FOOD

[ Endless party food and drink? Sweet. Minato might have a death god possessing him, but he doesn't really mind a nagging feeling of familiarity. He's happy enough to chill in a chair, plate full and being steadily worked through. He's quiet even when he's feeling jovial, but he's happy to listen to anyone. ]

This makes the farm work worth it, I think.

[ As soon as Izuku figures out time stops inside, he is using it for the best purpose ever: ...studying and doing homework. Yeah, okay, maybe it's more the nerdiest purpose ever, but he is doing his best maybe! Find him at one of the tables chewing on the end of his pen, textbooks spread out before him. Maybe it's time to convince him to take a break and eat something weird? ]

2. EGG HUNT

[ While Izuku isn't really spending that much time looking for eggs, he's still willing to pick them up and open them when he sees them. So if you'd like to hit him with information about your character, respond accordingly. He'll probably apologize for reading something about them.

If you want something about Izuku, respond and I can randomize something or you can pick something vague like his comic book collection is too big for his room or he likes his tea way too sweet or has light magic. ]

3. PARTY

[ Izuku honestly needs to loosen up sometimes. He's not uptight, exactly, but he can get anxious and nervous and sometimes it gets in the way of him relaxing and having a good time. So tonight, he's laughing and flushed with happiness, even if he's mostly sticking to juice. He's also even chattier than normal, and seems bouncy. ]

Oh, wow! It's too bad we can't do this more often, right?! [ Izuku, you're in college. You can and should go to more parties, even if they aren't thrown by gods. ]
