INTRO + TEXT
WHO: Suzume, Potential Rescuers, *YOU*,
WHERE: A Labyrinth resembling a town in Japan; the opening is in Midtown
WHEN: Jan 18/19 (rather late at night),
WHAT: Suzume's arrival! Oh, No,
WARNINGS: None at this time; if anything comes up, appropriate warnins will be added, but they shouldn't
PURPLE RAIN
"Hoshi, the sky is your color."
There is no one, it seems, for the little girl wandering the streets to talk to. Not so long ago, a gate opened to the Spirit realm from in the Midtown area. Going through at first seems to result in finding a normal, albeit eeriely quiet stretch of a Japanese town. It's an old one- a number of buildings are yet made of wood, and there's an air of tradition beneath the odd, violet and red-lined sky.
But there is no one there. The streets seem to bend and turn to impossible locations. Things are not quite as they ought.
Its the Spirit realm after all.
Suzume- a small girl of almost 6- has noticed and also not noticed this. She was in Cairo, not long ago. They were waiting for people from the 'Speedwagon Foundation', 'JiJi' had said, and they would bring her back home to 'Haha', and him as well. While JiJi had explained that, Hoshi had simply stared off in quiet. Mister Donut had frowned, a strange frown that made it seem more like he'd bitten a lemon but didn't want to admit he didn't like it.
And then...
She got dizzy? Or maybe...
(Hoshi had shouted- he always said the same word, but it would mean something else every time, and this time, it meant he was scared)
"...It looks like home, but the sky is your color," Suzume murmurs quietly, tugging at the straps of her bag. For anyone who comes into the labyrinth, there is no one there. No one at all. Suzume speaks to thin air, asking it- "....Hoshi, are you tired?"
...
"Okay Hoshi. I can walk, it's okay."
...
There is a little girl wandering the labyrinth. She holds her backpack straps determinedly, her handkerchief hairclip bouncing a bit with each step.
And she is alone.
NETWORK: POST FROM 'SUZUME'

mummy said if you find things you give them back
but theres no name
[She's not yet realized it's Her phone now.At least she has an invisible spell check of sorts. Perhaps even a not so invisible one if her rescuer is kind.]

[Oh, someone showed her the emoji.]

[Oh, someone showed her the emoji.]

[It's an answer given as if it were already the obvious answer- perhaps it was, at least between herself and her mystery guardian.
Of course, she doesn't move aside from to hold her backpack straps again. It isn't like SHE knows how to get out after all.
If he wants her name though, that's definitely a thing she can do. Haha told her how to introduce herself and everything, which is why she immediately gives a proper, hands folded at the front, bow, like Holly wanted her to one day do at the front of a class.]
Mmm...my name is Suzume Kujo, [she recites.] It's nice to meet you.
[Bow over! Everyone clap??
She looks up, and whatever she sees at least brightens her mood enough to keep standing all proper with pride.]
no subject
It's nice to meet you, too.
[And with that, he stands up, offering his hand to Suzume.]
This way, then.
no subject
Suzume looks at Tenmei's hand.
And back to the air. After a moment, she grabs Tenmei's.]
Hoshi's too tired, so I can't hold his, [she rambles, her other hand firmly gripping her bag strap.]
Okay, we're ready now.
no subject
Is that so? That's too bad... But alright, let's get out of here.
[He'll start leading her back the way he came in.
... They'll be walking for a bit, though.]
no subject
['Hoshi' is probably dying inside, emotionally speaking, but that's hardly relevant.
Walking, for Suzume, is not unfamiliar. Where many small children would have at least by a certain point asked how much longer they have to go, Suzume seems not only quite determined to keep her little feet going, but her little mouth shut.
She does occasionaly look up to stare at Tenmei some- which makes sense given her confusion- and also at everything else.]
That's mister Tanaka's food. And that's missis Kojima's...and...
[hey, wait,
She stops- or almost does, tripping a bit if Tenmei keeps going.]
There's stores missing..!!
no subject
He looks around at the places Suzume points out but otherwise keeps quiet, then comes to a stop as soon as she does.]
So this is similar to an area you've been to, huh?
[It doesn't look familiar to him at all, but...]
no subject
Haha gave me an...'errand'... [Bit of a funky word that one but she thinks she's got it.] ...And I had to get stuff from them.
...but the roads are wrong.
[So she insists with a scowl.]
no subject
[He... vaguely remembers his!]
I wonder if it looks like this because you're here...
no subject
...It's my fault...?
[Tenmei.
Salvage this,]
no subject
No, no, no, it's not your fault-- it's the place. Maybe... maybe it doesn't really have complete information or can't use that information right, but if anything, it has a will of its own. Probably. If I'd been in here first, it'd probably have been someplace I remembered... I think.
Either way: it's not your fault.
no subject
Would there be a big tree, like mister Donut's tree?
[This of course assumes he knows literally anything about what she said, but why wouldn't he, Duhhhhh.]
no subject
[Yeah he's got no clue, rip.]
no subject
[Just, Oh, really.
....Hmm.] Is there no big tree where you live now?
no subject
no subject
wait-]
You don't have backyard trees even?
[WHAT!!]
no subject
[Gotta have a backyard to have backyard trees!]
no subject
...
She doesn't think so but it's fine there's more important things-]
...so there's no trees..? Not even little plants..?
no subject
no subject
Eventually, she makes a determined whisper as they finally seem to come somewhere near to an escape to this place.] If I find a small tree, I'll ask Hoshi to get it for you then, so that you can have a real tree...
[Hoshi, not that anyone save Suzume will ever have to deal with it, is not doing that.]
no subject
Ah, there's the exit. Shall we?
no subject
[A firm nod. Yes please!] Yes.
[OUTTA HERE.]
