WHO: kni & you!
WHERE: network & around the city
WHEN: july 1st
WHAT: kni enters the scene and gets lost almost immediately.
WARNINGS: possible talk of mass murder / genocide, generally bratty behavior, etc.
[ action - the city ]
[nai wakes up to the sound of rain, although he doesn't recognize it for what it is. the droning noise could almost be considered pleasant, compared to the absolute nightmare he was finally pulling himself from-
or not. he sits up from the cafe table he'd been slumped over, his cheek still red from having laid it against the laminate surface for too long. he stares blearily out of the cafe window he was seated beside, brows pulling together as he frowns. the rain captures his attention as he slowly comes to, before all at once the gravity of his situation hits him with full force.
kni jumps up from the table so fast he nearly knocks over the chair, only realizing belatedly that he was holding something. an oddly shaped device and a... book? he decides he'll flip through it later as he rushes for the doors, nearly jumping out of his skin when someone - tall, human - opens the door from the other side. he only gives them a sparing glare before he pushes past them to run outside. right into the rain.
his heart racing, kni stands there. staring up at the sky, the feeling of rain soaking his hair and clothes is so new, he doesn't know what to process first. with his new items clutched to his chest, kni's gaze moves from the storm clouds above to looking around and noticing, with dawning horror, that he was surrounded by humans. this wasn't the desert planet they crashed into, either.
from one nightmare into another, kni picks a direction and starts walking.]

this technology is so old and the interface for this application is ugly.
whoever designed this should be ashamed.

kni trails after vash, a loyal shadow, to the outside. there he can finally see libra in his full form, more than just a snout poking through the window.]
Oh.
[the pictures he remembers certainly don't do him justice. striking, beautiful, how his scales glinted with splattered rain and the light that spilled out from inside the cottage. kni wondered what they'd feel like under his touch, if they felt as serpentine as they looked or if it would be an entirely new texture. well, most things were new textures to kni.]
Have you ever eaten someone?
[the most important question.]
no subject
They know better than to dig up vegetables in the garden on their own, after all...
[ fritter's probably out in the trees somewhere, munching happily on his newest apple shell...
Vash stops dead and turns his head towards kni when he asks Libra THAT question. A hand coming up, flapping. ]
C, come on now! We shouldn't ask those sort of questions!
no subject
No, I didn't eat anyone. [He pauses for a moment though before leaning over a bit closer to Kni. And lowers his voice.] But I have killed a few. Don't tell Vash.

[it was one thing they had in common, but kni knows better than to ever say that out loud. he was more than happy to keep his deeds to himself, even among those non-human.
he promises with a wry half-smile. maybe vash's taste in friends wasn't so bad.]
Don't worry. I think hearing that might send him into shock. He's pretty sensitive, you know.
[vash is right there, ya'll.]
no subject
I can still hear both of you, you know!!!
/slides in late with starbucksd
[Although he doesn't fight the tug, because he knows better with Vash's strength. Even with a playful tug like that.]
I was part of an army, Vash. You can't act like I'm pristine.
no subject
...at least, for the most part. Trouble a'plenty sometimes, but...
Anyway.
I'm not sensitive, I'm an ace gunman, remember.

[he'd been watching them bicker, pleased that vash had moved from tugging at his ear and opting for the dragon - libra's horn, instead. until he hears that.
a hundred and fifty years...]
I thought you hated westerns.
no subject
after being called out like that he's gonna wiggle and try to hide behind Libra. ]
Oh, well, you know, just... something I had to pick up on ...
...
It's really hard to live on Noman's Land without at least knowing how to shoot a gun. ...I just happened to have an extra long time to get good at it...

Westerns.... Those are the shows with the strange hats and guns, right? They're an interesting thing to watch...
