to see a world in a grain of sand
WHO: Dante, Vergil, Nero, and any visitors to the Auguries within the month of June.
WHERE: Auguries of Innocence
WHEN: Throughout June/July
WHAT: Different logs/stuff that happens at Vergil's apartment-slash-shop
WARNINGS: General sparda family stuff, they talk about demon stuff idk. there'll be a birthday party at the end of the month too.
[ A three-story building with a shop in the bottom-most floor, a sign that is overtly fancy and gilded with silver, Auguries of Innocence. In the window, there is now a smaller, just as fancy, but red glowing sign that says Opening Soon: Devil May Cry.
The second floor a storeroom filled with crates of items unsorted and damaged alike, things Vergil has collected for numerous years and hasn't finished restoring, or is just holding while not ready to sell. The floor also has a number of crafting tools in it for restoring broken items or refurbishing damaged ones.
The third floor is a minimalistic, mostly grey and silver apartment with two bedrooms, one bathroom, a study, a kitchen, a livingroom and a dining area in it. It's covered in antiques, with some weapons hanging on the wall. The furniture looks styled more for looking at than it is for sitting on, which is annoying, at best.
For the Montshs of June/July, Vergil and Dante have forcibly kidnapped Nero to live with them while he's dealing with some rather unfortunate memory issues -- and this post will be used for any threads involving the trio + any visitors while this mess goes on. ]

[ he seems resolved now, that he's been pressganged into Errands. thinking about Errands at least gives him an out to the rest of the frustrations he's feeling, his voice still weirdly detached as Vergil groks onto what Wolfwood's getting at fairly quickly, the smaller man giving a shrug. ]
Bit weird to have beef with a toddler when you're in your early twenties and he's technically not quite two.
[ one hand sneaks out of his pocket to itch at a bit of the stubble on his chin, eyes still pinned on the red flower on the wall. ]
Politely, which red idiot? But Red Idiot the Lesser is... yeah. Trying to help his little-big brother. Kid apparently does all of his shitty little stuff from a place of fear, which, you know, sucks for him, but it really doesn't do anything for how much I want to give him something to be scared about before I pop his head like a grape.
[ and then he has the decency to wince, still not proud of that particular cluster of confusing, ugly feelings, raw and red and dripping out of him like so much ichor. ]
But if Vash is gonna fix the little fucker, he doesn't need me in the way--and since Dante's not human, I figured Dante could hone in on stabilizing the little tyke bomb, but apparently everybody knows what's better for me and that little shit than I do, so now I'm here on your good graces and everybody wants to ignore the black spot on the horizon in favor of positive thinking.
You wanted groceries or some shit, right.

He's got more important things to think about; like the weird-ass story that Nicholas is telling him as he moves to get his coat on, making sure he has his wallet, a certain white katana strapped to his belt... ]
I do not get along with children as a basis, but I suppose it is frowned upon to, 'beef with them;' as you so eloquently put it.
I assumed it had something to do with 'Idiot the Lesser', given I figured you two were an inseparable pair or something of the sort.
It is not my place to give my opinion on how you handle this situation. Other than being related to Dante and concerned for his well-being, I have no horse in this proverbial race.
If it were me, however, I may pop the kid 'like a grape' if I were in your shoes, so you may well avoid asking me for advice in this manner. Anyone who may be a danger to anyone important to me, I feel, I may not stay my hand around.
[ slowly accepting your demonic half is a hell of a ride. ]
Groceries, a book store where I have reserved a few items for order, as well as a hardware store, as I need to pick up a few things for my storeroom.
Is that a bit much to ask?

if Wolfwood were a different man, he'd question why Vergil needed a sword on his belt, but Wolfwood is Wolfwood, so it makes sense for the two of them to walk strapped into whatever errand they're getting into, even if it's going to be as mundane as picking up Vergil's mail and other sundries.
he stands very, very still and continues to pull the flower apart with his eyes as Vergil informs him how little he cares and how totes fine he is with murdering small children, tossing his weird, tangled relationship with Vash up in the air and showing off its strange, snared parts, the pieces of them that don't fit together and the pieces that are tied up by two different red strings. he traces his tongue over the inside of his teeth and rolls his shoulders in a bit of a shrug. ]
Makes sense when you put it that way.
[ because what else is there to say? Vergil isn't Dante--where Dante wants to push and pull and dig deeper, Vergil's calculated and clinical and not interested in the mess that is Nicholas D. Wolfwood other than how it keeps Dante entertained. the man has the audacity to demure, and Wolfwood finally looks back at him with the flattest expression he can muster when he's not wearing his sunglasses, eyes narrowed and lips pressed flat. ]
Considerin' I don't want to go with you in the first place, yes, yes it is, but I'm already committed to the idea so.

And while perhaps when he was just Vittore, he'd just be a deeply unfriendly, but logical middle-aged dude with a chip on his shoulder with an intense love for epics and poetry--now that his memories of Vergil were seeping into his skin, settling into his bones--that devil behind his eyes was getting far too comfortable with the idea that violence was also on the table for matters concerning things where it was appropriate to apply said violence.
He'd always hesitate, of course; but where he hesitated, his devil whispered things without words, images that were blurry, a reminder that he was the strongest, and didn't need anyone.
He tries to push the feeling off as he offers a metaphorical hand to Nicholas, Starting to head towards the door. ]
As I said. I will see you compensated for it, appropriately.
I do hire employees at my shop when I feel I need it. You would not be the only one on my payroll, if you so wished to be.
[ he'll lock up, and then head to the tiny little parking lot between buildings, filled up only by one motorcycle and one car--a bright, pearl-white mercedes without a speck of dirt on it. ]
Get in, we have a little driving to do.

he bites back a petulant sigh, because he's not a child even if he feels put out, hands in his pockets and Cross Punisher in his betweenspace as he reluctantly follows Vergil like a well kicked dog--though the concept of 'employment' is an interesting one.
... especially if Wolfwood never gets to go home again. he can't live on Dante's couch forever. ]
And what would working for you entail?
[ locking his messy feelings away in a box, because Vergil doesn't care and Wolfwood is quick to recognize that, sliding into the pretty white car without much preamble as he's briefly stuck between taking up as little space as possible and sprawling.
he chooses to sprawl. ]

but how he is, currently, he knows he can be little comfort for the man. So he's doing what little he can: which is keeping wolfwood from running away while his brother takes care of the man's heart, and offer him a job, so that the man can feel not quite so trapped with his situation.
He's clipping his seatbelt over, and turning the engine as wolfwood asks him for details. He hums, as he places a hand on the gearshift. ]
...deliveries, both to and from my shop. Handling any sort of items that I need moved between the store and any prospective buyers, be it me sending out an item to be dropped off to a customer's house, or to the post office to be delivered.
Likewise, if I buy something from a different area in kaisou, or need something from the post picked up, I will trust you to go get it for me, if it is out of my way or something a bit too big for me to logically carry.
[ he turns his head to look at wolfwood. He knows how strong you are. ]
You will be paid both for the on-call service, as well as for the gas you might spend in your vehicle.
I will set your hours between 9am and 6pm daily, and will make sure you are compensated on the days I call you to work.
Does that sound agreeable?
