[Sorey has been a bit busy lately, but he's cheerful as always when he addresses the network at large. His adorable Comfey, Alice, is a new addition to those who haven't been part of his therapy sessions.]

Hullo, everyone! I'm Dr Sorey Shepard, or Dr Rosewood if you'd prefer. I wanted to let you all know that I've asked Professor Oak, POKEGO's leader, for assistance with the magical college project. Three of our professors have volunteered to help be part of the faculty, so they should be arriving shortly. They'd be Professors Rowan, Juniper, and Sycamore! August and Waver, we can talk about how best to integrate them once they've arrived. I'll be sure to introduce you to each other.

In addition, I'm happy to announce that we would like to extend to Libra users an open invitation to join POKEGO through our apprenticeship program. Only if you want to! This is entirely voluntary. However, it's going to be a lengthy process involving a few background checks and a training program set up by your mentor. You're also free to leave at any point if you feel that it's not a good fit for you. However, should you choose to leave after 'graduating' from an apprentice, you won't be able to come back. Please, keep that in mind before you decide to go through with this. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll answer them as best I can!

Also, since people have been adopting, or getting adopted by, creatures from the Kanto Spirit Realm, if you have any questions at all about them, please don't hesitate to contact Yuuki Shinomiya! He'll answer all your questions about Pokemon! Professor Oak and I are confident in his knowledge of the creatures.

While I'm not super sure I'm cut out for the sort of work POKEGO needs, I do have some questions about pokemon themselves.

Given I have these guys.

I've just been feeding them fruit and veggies from my garden, but.
They come from another world, do they require like.
Special food or anything from their native homeworld that I'm not providing?
I'm just worried about the little guys, mostly.

Not me personally, no. But my roommates have a couple!

They get attached to you pretty quickly.
They're definitely strange things, but. They make for great little buddies.

I'm going for the apprenticeship the post mentioned, so it sounds like I'll be having to take care of one of my own soon.

When I brought Fritter back from that Kanto gate with Waver, it seriously hated me when I first got home.

I'm not entirely sure why.
He seems fine now, at least.
I figure he was just mad that I took him from his home.
Hopefully yours is a little less grumpy.

Well, yeah. That'd make sense. Things generally don't like being taken from their home or being around strangers.

Yeah, he's fine now. As if he never hated me at all, it's weird.

It's fine though, Nico took care of him for the week he was all mean and growly.

That's strange...though I'd hardly call myself an expert on animals.

Is Nico good with animals?

Me either. Back home we didn't have a lot of animals. Bugs and birds, mostly.

I wouldn't claim Nico is good with animals, but.
From what I know about him, he grew up in an orphanage. I've seen him interact with kids before, he's... surprisingly very. Uh. Motherly. Would you believe it?
I think he helped raise a lot of kids, so he has this... uncanny ability to be gentle with small things, despite how he looks.

Pokemon eat berries in their natural habitats, even the ones that look like cats and dogs, so fruits and vegetables are fine.

Well, that's a relief.
Taking animals out of their natural habitat usually isn't the best idea, so...

I'd hate to see them get sick or something.

Don't touch the yellow one's tail or cheeks--it stores electricity in the cheeks and they just don't like their tails being touched. They'll shock you if you're not careful. Applins are just touchy, since they look like apples and everything tries to eat them.

Applin and Pikachu, that's what they're called, huh.
Oh, that'd explain why my buddy got bitten by the little rabbit when I brought it home. He touched its tail and immediately got rewarded with teeth in his hand...

And yeah, that tracks. Good to know, too. The little apple guy is still pretty unfriendly, but he's been getting bigger.

I didn't write the classifications, I just know them. It's the least mouse looking of all the mouse Pokemon.

Officially, these are the only ones called "mouse Pokemon". [Several links] Then there's plump, fire, and aqua mouse.

But you know what aren't classified as any type of mouse? Tandemaus and Maushold.
