[ good morning? day? what is time honestly? dante doesn't know, he sure as hell lost all concept of it ever since they closed the gate and sealed themselves in the demon world. how long ago was that? fuck, he really lost it, hasn't he? nevermind that, more important things to focus on right now. ]

[ where is he? fuck if he knows. he just really really needs a shower right now. and food, god when was the last time he had a hot meal? let him tell you, the demon world is not known for it's cuisine. ]

[Wow, he caught on quickly.]

I... I can. I am able to get what I need from food as well. But, in the thick of battle, disabling regeneration using the method I am familiar with is very costly. There won't be time to eat in that case.

If I deplete all of my energy, I will almost certainly die. To that end I have conserved my strength, anticipating a long and endless fight... Yet it seems I missed the demonic invasion of last year.

Good to know you're not completely shit outta luck with the food department. [ he takes hold of his water, bringing it to his lips as the gears in his head continue to turn. ] Lesser demons won't have the same regenerative abilities as some of the higher demons, so you won't have to worry about those. With any luck you won't be up against any higher demons and can feast to your heart's content.

[ without taking a look at them himself it's hard to tell whether or not the demons they are currently having trouble with are higher or lesser demons. ]

Not sure if this is going to end up in a long and endless fight but... don't go depleting all your energy if you can help it. [ that goes without saying, he knows. ] I'm sure there is someone you can trust who could keep you topped up, even in the middle of battle.

[Not that she has a whole lot of that. Hope. It's something for other people.

She shakes her head, though, at his assumption.]

... It would be easiest for someone with an aptitude for magic or access to a large reserve of mana, but I doubt anyone I know qualifies. They are mostly physical fighters, like myself.

[Her pale eyes shift from her glass to Dante's features, though, and she pauses.]

... Unless... you would volunteer?

[ he catches her gaze, lips pressed into a line before twitching upwards. ]

For the record, I'm not fully human myself. [ he is also morbidly curious and has a very low self-preservation instinct. ] I'm half-demon, the son of an exceptionally strong demon who sealed the gates to the underworld by himself. And the demons back home? Well, they get their power from human blood, which makes someone like me basically a walking battery of demonic power.

[ in truth he isn't sure if it'll work, but if she is able of consuming the energies from a lesser demon then who is to say she couldn't take what she needed from him? he's basically an endless fount of it. ]

Know my way around magic as well, so yeah... I'll volunteer.

As for payment? [ he tilts his head a little, instinctively he thinks to simply deny payment entirely, she is more or less indulging his own curiosity in truth. ] A smile will be more than enough.
