[In the background are seven men, all with various lengths of white beards (though one doesn't have one at all). Some are massively well built, some are portly, the one without the beard is as scrawny as can be. They've all got various boxes in arm, on their shoulders, or are pushing a dolly or lifting furniture.

They're talking to Anna and Snow dips out from the room to move into the stairwell of the apartment building.]

Oh ah- I just wanted to let everyone know I won't be living with my cousin Anna anymore if you wish to visit me.

I... well... it seems I do have a much larger family than I ever knew! I will be living with my seven uncles, now. I didn't even know I had seven uncles.

Apparently my stepmother had legally prevented them from seeing me, they're my mother.. my actual mother's brothers. [But now Grimhilde is dead and all of her restrictions are slowly falling away. Snow's face is hard to read.]

I haven't seen the new house, yet, but they've made a room for me and everything and want all my friends to visit when they can.

[All seven will be coming to fill out forms at school, have fun with that, Kaisou High.]

Oh dear. I am very sorry that you weren’t able to ask much about her for a long time. That must be hard not getting to know her more. Maybe your uncles can try to fill you in about what they have known of her.

It... I suppose... she always felt like a fairytale. Far and away. I could make up whatever I wanted her to be, have her do anything, have her act any way... and... yes... yes, you're right.

I think my uncles would love to tell me. My Uncle Almos apparently wrote several songs about her.

Oh that is really nice. I bet that they have a lot of fond memories of her. Plus the fact that your Uncle Almos was written plenty of songs about her is a great heartwarming way to keep her memory alive even after she is gone.

I might want to check out some of them later after I finish my shift at the cafe I work part time in.

We can listen to them together, I want to hear them as well. He has all of them on recorded CDs, he says he can't rerecord them, but maybe I can get them digitally remastered for him as a gift.

Oh cool. That sounds like a great plan. Getting the songs remastered digitally will be an amazing gift for him. I am certain that he will appreciate the gesture a lot, Snow.

I need to find out all their birthdays and favorite dishes and foods. They said I don't need to cook at all for them, but you know... I like cooking, even if I was made to do it all the time.

Alright, that’s even better! Cooking them a great meal is a nice gesture to show how much you care for them as much as they care for you.

Me and my siblings would sometimes cook for our parents to surprise them and to give back to them for all the things they did to raise us.

Oh, I always cooked for my stepmother, she would tell me it was the one thing I could get correct.

Yeah that’s correct, that is at least one good word from her.

Oh, ah, yes, stepmother was... [She lets out a breath.] Well, I always strove for her approval.

Hm I see. You definitely work hard to get her approval. And while making one’s parents proud is not always easy for many kids to pull off, I’m really glad that you dot it very well.

(Jamie hasn’t known much of Snow’s stepmother so far, so he couldn’t say anything bad about her at the moment.)

Anyway, I am looking forward to visiting you and your uncles at any time. Hopefully they don’t mind having visitors coming by and hang out with you.

I... yes, I did. She was my only parent, after all. Doesn't everyone want to make their parents proud?

Oh, not at all! They want to meet all my friends! Though, boys aren't allowed to have sleepovers.

That is great. If I don’t have anything too busy in my schedule, I could always come over and visit you guys. Maybe this coming summer could be a good time to do so too.

Oh that’s okay Snow. I remember that my sisters would often bring their friends to our house for sleepovers during middle school and high school. So they didn’t let me or my brother to go inside their rooms during their sleepover parties.

Yes, I would love to have you over. I would love to have all my friends over... I... it's such a nice thing to say. Friends over to my home. I've never been able to say that before.

That’s great to hear. It would be a lot of fun to come over and hang out with you and meet your uncles too. Should I bring along something along for the first visit like maybe some snacks perhaps?

Maybe I could bring some cookies along. It might be tricky for me to bake them at the dorm kitchen since I am technically sharing them with the other dorm residents but it should still be mamageable enough for me to do so.

Store-bought is perfectly fine too, Jamie. Don't put yourself out, my uncles would never allow it!

Oh gee thanks, that can work too. Didn’t know that it could be an option as well. I’ll try to see what kind of cookies can I buy later in the week. It is going to be a big surprise.

Of course, I certainly don't expect everyone to bake or cook.
