I'm just not a guy who feels right about getting a free ride, you know? I'll always offer a helping hand when a guy offers me a free meal, and stealing is just wrong. So.
Hey, nice t'meetcha! Name's Vash the Stampede! I'm just your ordinary wanderer, bodyguard, and ace gunman!
If you got any odd jobs, or know of how I can make a quick doubledollar or two so I don't feel like a mooch living off someone elses' goodwill, man--I'd really appreciate it.
I mean it. I'll even do your dishes. Something. Anything?
[ please. there's a donut shop down the street here and they wouldn't let him do odd jobs for a few pink icing pastries, he's dying. Help.]

Hello Vash. My name is Libra. I'm still relatively new myself, but I can help you out. Where are you in town?
no subject
Uh. I'm kind'a new around here, I haven't memorized the roads and stuff yet, you know?? mr. libra sir.
maybe if i just.
[ here, you'll get a picture of some road signs and locations near where he's at--one of those photos including the holy donut shop he's going to become the number 1 customer of in the future.]
Does that help, your honour???
no subject
He pauses to look at the picture... although Vash can't see that.]
Ah, yes, that place. Give me a while and I can show up. I can answer questions while I head that direction, if you'd like.

I MIGHT have some work but I have a super important question before I can put you in the "maybe" pile:
How hot are you? Scale of 1-10.
[He's not hiring non-hotties!!]
oh my god
Even if the pre-requisite is a bit weird. But you know what? He's FINE with that. Because he knows he's a looker, thank you very much.]
i have no idea what kind of work you have in mind and why it requires such a thing, but you know what? it's your lucky day! one moment, lemme-- get this set up....
[ give him a second to figure out how to take pictures on this thing, get a good pose and the best smile he can manage. ]
I'll leave it up to your opinion, but I'm basically No Man's Land's number one most eligible bachelor, thank you very much.
I'm so sorry
Okay, I can work with this! You're pretty!
Anyway, I have a theatre here, I always need staff for like, working at the bar or getting folks to their seats. Or offstage if that's more your thing but HA HA I don't know why you'd hide THAT behind the curtains.
I pay well AND I got dental. 'Cause having great teeth is the key to a great smile.
hilarious, honestly.

have you done like
package/parcel delivery stuff before
i cant get shit atm bc of kaisou’s usual bs
basically me leaving my place is Not A Good Idea Right Now(TM)
i can pay in money or in food or w/e
since youre new right?
figured id offer a few options
no subject
actually, yes. i've been hired to travel with caravans to protect their supply, or been tasked to carry something between cities back home before.
i'm a bit of a wanderer, so moving from place to place and delivering things with me definitely isn't something that's odd to me at all.
if it helps keep you safe, too, i'm twice as inclined to help you. food is definitely the most important thing.
I'm so new, i'm still getting used to how bright everything is.
no subject
easier than aaaaany of that
no major transportation needed
oh its not to keep me SAFE exactly
more like sane
but thanks i appreciate it
basically i need papers from my office in the high school
uh
wait do you have schools where you are
its p easy to find if you need the location
i just need them so i can still do work while at home
the front desk should have them
just say youre there to collect nox millers stuff and theyll know what to give you
home is [INSERT LOCATION HERE]
you can just leave it at the door
oh wow
yeah so its usually like that during the daytime
night comes and weve got shit in the sky there too
uhhhhh as far as anything else
you got any idea on what you wanna ask for it?
food
money
something else?

Pushing the thought as far out of her head as she can manage, Ryoko picks her way through the labyrinth, stepping carefully around crumpled debris and tattered photos. When the reek of torn up machinery gets too strong, she pulls the neck of her sweater up over her nose to try and filter some of it out, but she keeps pushing on.
If this is what she gets for not minding her own business, she just has to commit and see it through. Then she can shake her head at her own misfortune. ]
Hello? Is anyone here?
[ Her voice bounces oddly around the corridors, pounded into irregular shapes by the damage they took, but it does at least carry. ]
Hello?
Re: i
The smell of acrid, burning machinery is paired with the sound of some sort of alarm going off, to boot--the sound of it somewhat broken, warbling and malfunctioning as the ship loses power, and were it any louder, Vash might not have heard Ryoko's voice calling out from somewhere in those broken, twisted halls.
His head comes up like a whip, seafoam green eyes dilating as he tries to figure out where the sound had come from. Letting go of the twisted piece of broken ship he had been trying to move, he instead tries to--figure out where that call had come from.
Fortunately, she calls out a second time. And it's loud enough this time for him to pinpoint--and start rushing toward. He doesn't recognise the voice, but if someone is alive aboard the ship, anyone--]
I hear you! [ he shouts back, desperate; please hear him, please be okay. ] Come--come this way, I think I can--
[ ah, there she is. Down one of the longer hallways, thats half collapsed with a large piece of some sort of vent having fallen out of the ceiling, half-obscuring the hallway, with not enough room for Vash to fit through. Augh. ] --You're not hurt??? Are you!
[ never thinking about himself first, as usual. ]
no subject
Schooling her expression into something more neutral, Ryoko ducks down just enough to peer under the vent slicing the corridor in half – she could probably squeeze all the way through but it wouldn't do any good for getting both of them back unscathed. ]
I'm not hurt. By the looks of things, you aren't either. So I'm guessing this place was already in this state when you arrived.
[ Brisk and matter of fact as usual. ]

[Flashback to being saved by a bunch of geocachers.]
I believe many places in the city are hiring. I recommend getting a job at an actual store.
Re: text | UN: Thorn
I've done some real 'odd' jobs before, believe me. I'm not terribly picky.
Working at a store seems fine, too, I'm just a bit... worried about that. I don't, eeeh... well. Working at a store requires you to know what the products are, mostly, right...?
[ this world is a mystery. ]

There is a list of missions on Libra.
It's not the most reliable, but if you can succeed, you'll be rewarded.
no subject
Hoh?? On this app, really?? I didn't know there was something like that, really??
Man, this is the coolest piece of tech I've ever seen. I gotta' look into this.
So long as, er, the jobs don't require hurting anyone.
