My past life knew some form of him, and liked him. It feels a bit like fate catching up and slapping me in the face. Perhaps the Lord like his irony. [Not to say it feels like a joke, but its a rather large coincidence, if that.] Regardless, I'm not the type to lie to myself. I am still devoted to the Lord, and even my relationship is hardly going to go deeper than it is. I've made the Professor aware of that.

[Jun is quiet for a long moment, thinking about that explanation. Father Hansa really is sincere about this. It wasn't something he did thoughtlessly, but did think it through. And in some respects, he could understand the pull of the past life. He still found himself thinking about Ryouta sometimes, even though he'll probably never met the other boy in this life.

Did Jun still have concerns? Yeah, he did. He was worried about the things that could still go wrong. But...well, Hansa was an adult. If he knows what he's getting into, and isn't throwing away the Lord over this... he could learn to swallow those worries and respect the father's choice.

...I don't think you have to worry about the Professor pushing it to go deeper. He seems like a Victorian type that'd faint at a bare ankle.

[As much as he seems lax about it, he knows that isn't the case at all. Its a risk. Its more of a risk than anything and yet...he's always been the type to follow his own heart and his own gut rather than follow some abstract cage of rules. Maybe that makes him a bad priest. He hopes it doesn't. Love shouldn't make anyone bad, right...?]

[The joke makes his eye widen, before his smile creases into something gentle and fond.]

Oh, you're telling me. [He recognizes the branch for what it is.] Let me know if you want me to show him my ankles before a test. I'm sure it could help distract him.

[It was true that the father was lax in attitude about most things, which sometimes made him a bit hard to read. But Jun trust him enough after all these years that if Hansa insisted he was serious, then he'd take him at his word.

He makes a small noise of amusement]

Maybe once, if it's a hard test. More than that and he might catch on.

[Would he actually try it? Who knows. Jokes were how this family often communicated with each other anyway. ]
