for anyone who decided to check out the records in that library that just popped up, i have one question. what's the wildest thing you've learned about your "past life", if you've checked your name out?

i'll start. my past life had a holy hand grenade launcher in his robot arm. very monty python. 🦾 your turn!

Well, not all of it is nice. There's some pretty harrowing stuff. But we all have to look at the bright side of things.

Besides, that's a different life, right? What they did isn't what you did.

That I'm not so sure about.

[Danny was having trouble putting words to how he felt about it all. It wasn't like he thought that he was fated to follow his past self's life or anything. But... it also felt like the Accident was impacting his life now as well. Like there was something inevitable about it all. The same powers, the same abilities.

If he had to make the same decisions now, would he really choose differently?]

Glass half full, huh. [Danny thinks. Most of what he'd learned about his past life had been mostly notable by its weirdness. More of it was very concerning out of context. But there were some....]

I found out that one of my recurring villains was obsessed with boxes. And bubble wrap. Specifically with using them as weapons to take over the world.

[He wasn't really ready to address the weirdness of having recurring villains. ]

She went venturing into the stomach of a giant sea monster that she had just helped kill because she was being paid to go retrieve some good luck charm that was on a ship it had eaten. Had to basically pry it out of the claws of a minivan-sized hermit crab that was somehow living in there. [It's one of the most-batshit things—and also probably the least-awful thing—that Kat had seen when she was reading her record.]

Hard to say. I don’t know enough about them to know how common grenade launcher prosthetics might be. I just know they’re dangerous.

I’d assume that to be exactly the point. Not that I know much of anything about vampires, but sanctifying things and dispelling curses seems like the Church’s whole specialty.

Surely someone’s written that version by now. ‘Dracula, but Van Helsing has a squirt gun full of holy water.’
