Intentionally ignoring the past problems, he had and found himself in, Marcus waits until the "Death row" prison guards make their usual rounds, pretending to watch the clock. After a circle, Marcus pulls the locked door open and slips out, closing the door and making it toward a portal.

He slipped inside and took a breath.

"What? What kind of joke is this?"

Did I just come to Earth again before Judgement Day?

When he arrives in Kaisou, the first person he sees is...a small, 2'5 imp who is just staring at him.

"Joke? I don't know what you're talking about, sir."

Marcus raises an eyebrow as the first.. thing, person, creature, he sees is some sort of red figure who is staring up at him.

"The last thing I remember about my earth that is destroyed by nuclear missl, ... this isn't my Earth, isn't it."

"Um...I'm guessing not? Because this Earth definitely hasn't been destroyed."

Seeing as everything around them is perfectly fine. Okay, somewhat damaged from the dinosaurs, but they're working on fixing that and at least the dinosaurs are gone now.

Marcus raised an eyebrow "Dinosaurs.?!"

"Uh ok, i'll take your word for it."

Marcus is just shaking his head "This Earth is strange so far."

"Oh yeah. It definitely is. I'm only just discovering how strange it is, and I've lived here my whole life."

Between turning into an imp, dinosaurs, and now there's a floating island over the park...the whole place just seems to get weirder and weirder. And to think, a few short months ago Moxxie didn't even know the supernatural existed.

"Oh, by the way, my name is Maxwell, but my friends call me Moxxie."

So... you weren't an imp before?

I'm assuming that's some sort of demon.

[Yeah, Marcus hasn't been reading anything about the supernatural or demons yet so..]

Name's Marcus. It's complicated. Not exactly a normal human either.

It is, yes. I was human before and I just woke up like this. The weirdest part is I keep getting these memories of my life as an imp, even though it couldn't have happened, because I only just recently turned into one.

[His interest is piqued when he hears that.]

You're not? What are you, then?

Marcus was slightly on edge.

Well, I was a human once, but then Skynet turned me into some metal terminator. Well half terminator.

[The fact that whatever he is now is called a terminator would be alarming, except for the fact that Moxxie is literally a demon now so really doesn't have any room to talk.]

[Marcus is thinking on how to explain this]

A terminator is basically Skynet's killing army. Before you ask what Skynet is, Skynet is an Artificial Intelligence who became sentient. Killed 3,000,000,000 on my planet Earth.

Oh. That's bad. We...don't have sentient AI here. I'm pretty sure the fanciest AI we have is in our smartphones, and we can't even get a GPS that doesn't occasionally tell people to drive down mine shafts, so it's really not that smart.

Although, if your AI wanted to kill people...maybe ours does too and it's jut really unsophisticated?

I rather not think of that possibility after coming from a world with one there. Plus, I rather not lead a man and whomever vs machine war either.

Oh, right. Well, on the bright side it's probably just crappy programming and not any actual malice. Besides, if the extent of the AI's power is giving crappy directions, then there wouldn't be a man vs. machine war, you'd just have to not listen if your phone tells you to drive off a cliff.

I'd honestly be happier with that than a full-blown war like home.

Well, yeah, anybody would. A full blown war is a full blown war. A glitchy appliance that may or may not be doing it on purpose is just kind of annoying.
