"I guess I was just kind of hoping that the first sea folk I met since coming here wouldn't turn out to be serial killers."
And part of him still wants an explanation for why they're trying to get humans to jump in the water, but he figure he can get that later. When there aren't any humans around to get drowned. But then Luz shifted the conversation to him.
"Um...well, I don't really know, I guess I can just keep going deeper forever? And...I guess? I mean, it depends on how deep you go. The part of the water I live in is okay. It gets kind of boring, though, herding fish all day and doing chores. And if you go too deep it gets dark and I've heard there's nothing to see or do down there? So I don't really want to go that deep."
