WHO: Kakyoin and Suzume!
WHERE: The Zodiac apartments

WHAT: Oops, unexpected babysitting! With a side of Stand shenanigans
WARNINGS: Shouldn't be any!

[It's actually a little alarming when he gets the call asking if he can watch Suzume on short notice.

Luckily, it's not a big deal! It's just because Jolyne vanished. Still a little concerning, but, like, he'll take it. He packs up his art supplies and wanders on over to the apartments. He's let in by a very grateful nanny (who might also just be relieved that it'll be Kakyoin watching Suzume in general) who doesn't take long to take her leave after he arrives.]

[Hierophant listens, paying rapt attention to everything Suzume says--it all... mostly makes sense to the Stand. Doesn't mean a whole hell of a lot to Kakyoin, but Hierophant seems to get it, and maybe that's all that matters.

At Suzume's question, Hierophant nods vigorously, which makes Kakyoin pause as he looks up from his phone.]

... Melon wants you to know that they're very good friends with both me and Mister Donut.

[The Stand just shoots Kakyoin a Look for the use of the nickname. Traitor!]

[If only he could see it- Two whole stands, giving him the strongest of looks over the most impressive of oblivious self-burns ever seen.

Sadly only Hierophant can be seen, so.

Suzume watches Hierophant's nod, and then pauses to look back at Kakyoin.

She then looks back at Hierophant, this time with one of those loud whisper-not-whispers.]

Don't worry Melon, I knew what you meant already.

[She says, while calling him Melon.]

[Give him a break, the poor guy has no idea.

Hierophant nods sagely, carefully shifting Suzume in their hug before carrying her back and depositing her next to Kakyoin with a headpat or two. Time for them to investigate Hoshi. What the fuck is going on here.

Kakyoin shifts so Suzume can see his phone, where he's pulled up a website for a nearby pizza delivery place.]

Alright, what would you like on the pizza, Suzume? Oh, and should we get dessert, too...?

[Well if hug time is over hug time is over, so Suzume will come back to talk about pizza.] Umn...when they had pizza at the school...it had 'peppp...pepproni', [That's 'Pepperoni' but fair try there kiddo,] And cheese...

[wait]

...You can put other things on pizza..?

[WAIT] There's dessert..??

[Meanwhile, Hoshi looks remarkably awkward now that something CAN see him. Oh no! Hi, Hierophant. The Stand before you- who at least looks less Wild than Star Platinum normally would- is currently wincing a bit because...well, frankly it's been a while. He didn't expect this. This is awkward.]

Yeah, you can put all sorts of things on pizza--there's pepperoni and cheese, of course, but there's also sausage and veggies that can be put on it--we're not getting green peppers though--and yeah! They've got desserts here, too, look!

[And as he starts showing Suzume the wonderful world of desserts that can be ordered from a pizza place, Hierophant mostly circles Hoshi in silence.

It's a bit awkward, yeah. But... they are happy to see their old friend, even if they're confused as to why the situation is like this.]

...pizza isn't supposed to be healthy, and veggies are healthy...

[So no veggies, got it-] ...is that fruit..?

[NOT...THE PINEAPPLE...

Well in the meantime. Hm. Hoshi isn't sure he ever saw Hierophant...specifically as a friend but...Hello??

He is very much not as remembered, partly because Old(er)]

[No veggies, suits Kakyoin just fine!]

Yeah, that's pineapple--lots of people argue about whether or not it belongs on pizza. But I think fruit's too healthy to go on pizza too, don't you?

[Though, he supposes they can just get it on half, if Suzume really wants it.

Very much not as remembered, no! Hoshi's older, yes, but also.

He is significantly more purple.]

[Suffice to say, Someone is wondering how Stand vision even Works.

Suzume meanwhile is gasping.]

I thought fruit was a treat...fruit is too sweet to be healthy...

[IS THIS...BETRAYAL...]

[A mystery for the ages...]

Ah, is it? My mistake, then! Do we want to put pineapple on half of the pizza, in that case? I've tried it before and I've found I wasn't a fan.

Yes..!

[A pause.] If I don't like the pineapple...can Mooland eat it..?

[Behind her, Hoshi is frowning. Don't just feed the dog your leftovers!]

Is there more things for pizza..?

[There's certainly a hefty variety of meats at least.]

Well, it's probably not good to just feed it to Mooland... I don't know if he can have pineapple, and we don't want to make him sick.

[Anyway.]

Well, there's a lot of different kinds of meat available to put on it... Do you want any besides the pepperoni?

Oh....

[Well that's no good. And half a pizza is a lot.] Maybe...half of half...

[Half of half sounds safe. Yes! Meat though- there is some slow blinking at the pepperoni, and what else is there.

And then a sharp gasp-]

There's bacon on the pizza..!

[That's a breakfast food! How did it get here!]

[A nod.]

Half of half, then.

[He chuckles a little at the gasp.]

There is! We can get that, if you want.

[Suzume makes a quiet reply-] Yes please...

[They can probably get one more thing on the pizza at this point- cheese is a default, but it allows for three toppings. Kakyoin should probably actually pick one for himself, now that Suzume's gone and picked two (one of which isn't even on most of the pizza for that matter).]

Is melon getting pizza?

[She knows Hoshi doesn't get any. But maybe Melon can have some??? That would be nice.]

[Bacon, pineapple on a quarter of the pizza, and Kakyoin's getting pepperoni for himself.

Hmm, time to look over crust options...

Hierophant Green, now settling back in on the opposite side of Suzume, shakes their head. They appreciate the thought, but they don't need it!

Though, that does get Kakyoin to look at his Stand.]

... Can you have food at all, Melon?

[A shrug! With that, Kakyoin turns his attention back to his phone.]

Oh, Suzume, do you want to get the crust stuffed with cheese?

Melon only makes his mask, he, um... ...He can make lots of things, like Mister Donut can...

[Concerning things for Hierophant to hear, no doubt. But there are distractions to be had, and if the Stand really wants he can probably pester Hoshi.

Who, to be fair, will just sort of look at him sadly and shake his head. Thanks buddy you're a great help.]

There can be cheese inside..!?

[That's a yes for the stuffed crust!]

[THOSE ARE VERY CONCERNING THINGS, YES.

And when they looks over to Hoshi for help? ... Yeah, thanks, buddy. Some help you are. That's only more concerning!!!

Can Stands like Hierophant Green sulk? Unclear, but it sure seems like that's what's happening for a few moments before they hug Suzume again.

Kakyoin just chuckles and gets the stuffed crust. He's also going to get a few extra things (including dessert for the both of them) and a bottle of soda he knows Suzume likes.]

There! All ordered, so now we can draw while we wait.

[Well she has no idea what brought this on, but she loves you too Melon! Yay!

And on top of that they can draw together?? Even better!] Yes..! Umn-

[Well the paper was already here, and the crayons, so she'll just grab some of that.] Mnnnhhhh...

[Who does she draw...]

[Kakyoin will pull his sketchbook out of his bag and his pencils. After some consideration, he starts sketching something out.]

Say, Suzume, do you ever find yourself having dreams after seeing certain movies or TV shows?

[It's mostly idle chit-chat, but considering it happened to him the previous night...]

Umnnhh.... [She has to think about that! She frowns, does that, and then-]

I watched a movie on a plane...but...I had a dream before that, [she determines, nodding seriously.] About the big bug that Melon squashed!

[She sounds quite proud of Hierophant over it. You did great bu-]

I couldn't catch it, because...because my arms are small...

[For Hierophant, there is an audible smack when Hoshi claps a hand over his face and groans- which sounds more like an 'ora', as typical.]

[Man, it sure is a good thing Hierophant doesn't have a very visible face because otherwise it would be clear that the Stand is snickering at Hoshi's predicament.]

Oh, that really big, mean bug, right?

[He kind of vaguely remembers something like that? He thinks.]

I saw a movie last night that had a swordsman who was going after a bad guy with six fingers, and then that night, I dreamed about... Well, a guy who didn't have a sword himself, but the knight that was with him did...

Yes! [Her scowl deepens.] He ate everyone's tongues, and tried to take Hoshi's, and then got more because he was greedy and mean.

[This is perhaps the most she's said in a single string of words, and it's honestly sort of impressive.

But oh! Kakyoin's got the right idea. Suzume starts going for the silver crayons.] Umn...I know...a knight with a really long sword...but his friend got, a different sword once, and it made him really sad, so, Hoshi helped me break it.

[The end right, happy times for all! ...No? Oh.]

What a terrible bug. I'm glad Melon squashed him.

[Don't mind Hierophant puffing up a bit proudly there.]

[If Hoshi cares to take a glance at what Kakyoin happens to be sketching at the moment, he'll probably recognize the scene as a moment during the fight between Polnareff and Avdol.

Or at least based on it.]

[Well he has nothing better to do than watch, even if from a distance- and watch he does, straightening in alarm when he does figure out what's being sketched. Suzume's drawings are expected. But that?

Hoshi looks over at Hierophant. Hey- Hey!!! Hey what the hell-]

Yeah, it was...all fancy, [Suzume is humming in the meantime,] And it wasn't silver, like Knight was... ...so it didn't match...and sometimes, it had a doggy come out, but it was mean...

[Hierophant just gestures like dude, this has been happening for a bit! Just... just wait until they can grab Kakyoin's sketchbook to show...

Kakyoin listens carefully, pausing in his sketch.]

Yeah? What happened after that?

We broke it, and he went away! [Yay!] And Hoshi was really hurt, so Mister Hair had to carry him all the way to JiJi...and um...

[She has to think for a bit.] I don't know what happened after that, but we missed breakfast...

[Star Platinum didn't exactly get to do a whole lot when Alessi struck.

In any case, 'Knight' seems to be her choice of drawing, and he's looking great! Big silvery mask and big round eyes!]

[Hierophant just glances over at Hoshi, as if to ask "We sure missed a time, huh?"

About themself and Noriaki, of course. Not Tenmei.

When Kakyoin glances over to Suzume's drawing, he can't help but smile. That sure is Knight, huh?

Unbidden, something in his mind whispers Silver Chariot.]

[The look on Hoshi's face says You Sure Did!

That aside. Knight is done! Now Suzume's going to start drawing 'Mister Hair', because that feels important.] Mister Hair had...lots of sword fights, [She mutters,] He was best at them...but...him, and Knight, like to play a lot..! They say, HoraHoraHora..! [she cheers, bouncing in the spot with each sound,] And make things fancy first..!

He and Knight were the sorts who had lots of cool tricks, right?

[Yeah... that sounds right.]

Yes! Like, ummm....

[She thinks about it for a minute, before going back to her drawing (Mister Hair has a lot more colors!) as she talks.] Like making statues...

[She didn't remember any specific ones, but she knows it's probably a thing that he did.] But, but...

[She lowers her voice, as if wondering if she'll get in trouble for this. Before she even says it, her Stand is sighing in resignation. Suzume leans over to whisper.]

...Mister Hair wasn't very smart, so he got in lots and lots of trouble before Knight could come out and stop anything...

[Way to kick a man while he's not around to defend himself!]

Statues... Oh, that's right, I remember one from my dream--one that looked kind of like a bird...

[Kakyoin leans in when Suzume leans over to whisper, nodding along. Part of him wants to agree about "Mister Hair" not being very smart.

RIP, Polnareff.]

Bird..?

[Suzume is slowly looking over to Hoshi, as if somehow he might know more. Hoshi for his part gives nothing away, so Suzume ultimately just nods and keeps drawing.] I got to see...lots of birds, where I met Knight and Mister Hair...but, the biggest bird was Red, except Red had...no wings, just muscle arms...

[Hoshi is wondering if Stands can die due to embarrassment.]

[AH...]

Red... Magician's Red...?

[Hierophant's just gonna reach up with a tendril or two to just. Pat Hoshi on the arm.]

[A loud gasp, and Suzume beams.] Oh..!!

Yes..! Mister Magic's friend, umn, 'Magician's Red'...

[She frowns, adding seriously-] ...Red is easier, and he still has to say sorry for making Hoshi really mad... [the girl mutters, scribbling away at her drawing.

Hoshi is frowning rather weakly at his companion meanwhile. What's the world come to, that this is where he's getting consolation...]

Really? What did he do?

[Listen, Hoshi, weird shit's been the name of the game for months now. The fact that they're consoling you right now is weird, even!!]

[He knows! He knows! But he doesn't have to like it!]

I got all the things for Hoshi, because, Hoshi was really bored and sad...and then Mister Magic came, and he made everything on fire, and it ruined all the things, [she huffs, getting madder and madder as she mutters.] And then when I came out to get mad back, he stopped..!

[Coward!]

Well, that was very rude of him.

[He sets down his pencil to pat Suzume on the back.]

And not even so much as saying "sorry," for shame.

[Hoshi is just. Shaking his head now. Hooboy.

But at least Suzume appreciates it!] He even made Haha cry, [she mutters, shaking her head.] Making Haha cry is the worst thing you can do.
