WHO: Rapunzel & YOU
WHERE: Her labyrinth and elsewhere
WHEN: 6/5
WHAT: The arrival of yet another Disney Princess!
WARNINGS: Some mentions of kidnapping and isolation for the labyrinth prompt, but nothing otherwise. Will update as needed!
[A; Labyrinth]
[The first thing Rapunzel thinks, as she blinks back the hazy, fuzzy feeling clouding her brain, is that she must have hit her head during that minecart crash. It had all passed by so fast - the fire, the bats, the giant mole - and when it all came to a sudden halt as she pulled herself and Cassandra away from the cart, moments before it smashed into a wall, everything had gone white for a moment.
Did she pass out? Hit her head too hard. Why does everything look so diff-]
... Oh no.
[The bottom of her stomach seems to drop out as she realizes where she is. Her feet scrape against familiar sandy yellow and pink tiles on the floor. Her eyes catch the beautiful paintings covering the walls and ceiling. The smell of herbs and fresh air drifting in through the single open window surround her, but the smell is anything but pleasant; it makes her stomach roll over itself and her chest clench, like someone's closing a fist around her heart and lungs.]
Okay... okay. It's- it's a dream.
[She misjudged the arc of the swing to pull herself and Cass out of the minecart. She knocked her head on a chunk of rock and fell unconscious. Being in Gothel's cottage, and seeing those mirror memories are dredging up her own old memories that she'd been trying so hard these past few months to push aside. This isn't real. If she just pinches herself-]
Ow!
[... Ow? Dreams aren't supposed to hurt, right? Then... this can't be a dream.
The thought makes Rapunzel sick. If it's not a dream, then is it some trick of Zhan Tiri's? Like the House of Yesterday's Tomorrow? Her brain starts whirring in a panic, screaming at her to do one thing - escape.]
Come on, Pascal. Let's get out of here.
[Once upon a time, the idea of leaping out that window terrified her above anything else. But now there's no hesitation as she pulls the ties from her hair, loops it over the hook hanging just outside, and swings out and down- down, down... Rapunzel frowns as the world seems to shift, and when her feet hit the ground, it's not grass she feels, but those same sandy yellow tiles.]
... What? [... Oh no. Ohhhh no no no. This can't- it's not happening. She's not stuck here, is she???] Hello??? Is anyone there? [Someone has to be behind this, right? Maybe they'll show themselves.] I know you're messing with me! I'll find Cass and we'll both get out of here, just you wait!
[B; Out and About]
[So... that happened. It was a lot, all at once, and Rapunzel's not sure if she can say she's really on her feet just yet. But she is, no matter what, a girl who tries hard to make the best out of any situation. So after being helped out of the strange labyrinth, and running into some friends new and old, Rapunzel finds herself wandering the city.
Needless to say, Rapunzel looks absolutely lost - with her floor-length, braided hair, the dress, and her lack of shoes, she sticks out like a sore thumb among the normal folk of the city. But she certainly doesn't realize it; she's too busy craning her head back, back, trying to see just how far up the skyscrapers go.
The cars, especially, seem to truly catch her attention. She nearly leaps back the first time she notices one zoom past her, but as she watches more and more pass, a bright spark of curiosity seems to fill her eyes.]
Whoa. What do you think, Pascal? How can they move like that?
At first, it almost looks like she's talking to no one. But she turns her head, looking down towards her shoulder, where a small green chameleon is perched. The little creature looks... hesitant, and even shrugs at the question while making a confused-looking squeaking sound.]
Yeah, you're right. Maybe we should ask Varian when we see him again.
[And off she goes, back to adventuring. You can find her pretty much anywhere with her face pressed against the front windows of various shops and such. She might be in said shops, browsing through clothes or staring in awe at the instruments hanging from the walls of a music store. Perhaps you might even find her in a craft store - she almost looks like she could burst in a place like this, darting from the collection of various paints to the bolts of fabric as ideas roll through her head a mile a minute.
And all through that, she still hasn't put shoes on.]

It does seem so, as she watches her for a moment more; seeing the way she seemed so fascinated by everything, but still a little lost, reminded her a bit of her own arrival, and how her family had been learning to adjust the strangeness of this world.
So eventually Luisa wanders over. ]
Hey, excuse me...you wouldn't happen to have just arrived in this world, would you?

She laughs, a little sheepishly.]
Is it really that obvious?
[... Now that she thinks about it, it's probably really obvious because of her dress. Whoops.]

Rapunzel thinks of Varian. Cassandra. The other people she's met since, the ones who helped her in that labyrinth or beyond.]
Is getting trapped in this world really this common?
