Ah, yes, hello- apologies for the interruption, though I'm sure you're used to seeing new faces show up from time to time. At least, from what I've seen, you have. [Muttered, trying to parse through the network as he's talking!! ............yeah, he's a bit of a nerd, what gave it away?]

I've noticed a few of you from Kaisou University, so I suppose that is comforting, in some ways. I am already aware that this app will not leave, and it's a hindrance more than a help. But, seeing as I had a slight... uh... change in my dorm room a few days ago, I was curious to know if anyone was facing something similar?

Namely, [And here, Alphinaud picks up something from off the floor and out of the camera shot- which is followed by a "Mreeeeh!" before he brings it back into view. He holds it like a cat, honestly.] Is this someone's pet? ["Mreeh, mreeeh!!" Goes the carbuncle, squeaking happily even though Alphinaud has no idea.] Barring that, does anyone even know what this is?

Do you have a roommate? That would be a relatively safe way to check.

Unfortunately, my roommate is out for the week- he had to return home to fix some family issues. Nothing serious, from what I could tell.

...I could walk down the dorm hallway to see if anyone notices there. Someone is always around there regardless of the time.

[He reaches offscreen and retrieves a staff to show. It's mostly plain, with a crescent top and some kind of red orb.]

Ah, that is concerning. I've read about potential new things happening to people, but I wasn't expecting... this.

He does tilt his head at the staff though.]

Is that a staff? Do you know what it does?

[He absolutely will and then he'll probably scream internally. SO CUTE.]

Yeah, it's a magic staff. It's like something you'd see in a video game. [He tilts his head.] Well... when I picked it up and waved it around, I accidentally created a small tornado out of water. I'm pretty sure there's a spell inside of it, and that's why I can use it.

I know a couple of healing spells, too. I'm guessing whatever my other life was, I was some kind of wizard...? Or at least, I played one...

A carbuncle... what an interesting name. [And it's somehow familiar, though he's sure never heard that word before in his life. It shows in how he frowns just slightly, and Rhel's smile somehow just makes all of this odd. As if something is nagging at him, but he has no idea what.

Still, Alphinaud pauses, putting the carbuncle down, looking him over for a long moment.]

Ah, pardon if I sound ignorant, but what exactly is a carbuncle?
