WHO: Garrus & Anyone
WHERE: Network: Libra
WHEN: Early June, Early Morning
WHAT: p a r t y
WARNINGS:
[The camera clicks on to Garrus in his angel shape - this, because there is a stupid amount of energy drinks on the table, the Earth kind. There are also tools. So many tools - electronic and otherwise. What looks like a dissected drone, or several different drones, appears to be his project at the moment. The eyes along his collar look irritated, but the reason is not immediately obvious.]
[A tiny paw pops on screen.]
[It swats a screw off the tabletop.]
[Then another.]
[As one, all of Garrus' eyes twitch.]
Paaaaaarty. Party party party.
So. How exactly. Does someone get rid of these pests again?
[There goes another screw - another hiss of party. And despite all the feathering on his face, Garrus' teeth show. He takes a visibly deep breath.]
I thought if I stayed awake and got some work done, it would shut up. But no. Now it's just messing around with my gear. I've lost seven different screws and it's almost chewed through some wiring.
I need it gone.

video ★ un: Shepard
[Is this funny? Well... Shepard seems to think so.]
Where'd you even pick that little guy up?

[The cat can be heard again, chanting "party" in the background.]
I'm not going out at this hour to find a club. Least of all with... that thing.
video; un: lightkeeper
Ah.
Husk had this issue as well.
no subject
Yeah? And how did that end up?
no subject
He came to me asking for assistance, as he was losing sleep over this very same situation. In return, I told him to flip his thinking around. Think like a fae, in other words.
[That smile grows wider.]
After all, the cat never specifies what kind of party it requires. Is a slumber party not a 'party'? We simply made some warm milk, ate a few snacks, and went to bed.
no subject
[He picks up one of the energy drinks. This one helpfully labeled as GUN FLAVOR.]
All right then.
[He just. Tips it so a bit drips onto the floor.]
Party it is.
[Did you just feed the party cat an energy drink you dumbass--]
no subject
[Flins stares at this for an extended period of time, his lips pursing closed.]
My friend.
I'm afraid you do not think like a fae at all.
no subject
You said you fed it. This is what I've got.
Besides, my actual food would probably kill it. And as good of an idea as that sounds, some people would get upset.
[His pet-loving girlfriend, for example.]

A slumber party consists of three things: Food, Games, and Sleep. We met the food criteria by eating snacks and drinking milk. We did shadow puppets as the game, and then we went to bed.
[Now...now here's where he lets his fae traits shine, those eyes twinkling yet again.]
Could this not be something you could do with the Commander? Consider it...pest control and a date at the same time.
no subject
[He begins to regret that decision.]
Maybe this is a work party. Where I work. Hooray. [You're not even trying, sir.] Besides, I'm out of alcohol.
[And maybe he should figure out more about how this form works, because Flins goes and mentions a date and Shepard and all his feathers promptly puff up. Like blushing, maybe.]
It's three AM. She's probably not even awake.
no subject
[She saw that failure to poison an annoying animal, Garrus. And she appreciates you very much.]
no subject
Wasn't my post, was it?
no subject
[She doesn't say why; the whole world does not need to hear about her nightmares, thank you.]
Why are you awake?
no subject
Do you need to ask?
[Right on cue, the party cat reaches up to knock a screwdriver off the workbench.]
That.
no subject
C'mon, it's kinda cute.
no subject
It'd be a hell of a lot better if I hadn't lost supplies.
no subject
[He chuckles, seeing her quick response in the thread below]
I think she heard you after all. Three is technically a party, yes?
no subject
[And yep. Right on cue. That's her, the love of his life.]
I thought the saying was "three is crowded" but. Sure. As long as she's up, it can't hurt.
voice ★ un: Shepard
[She's doing her best, but it takes time. In the meantime; free cat.]
We're gonna get there, eventually.
no subject
[Maybe. He'll be a supportive elder either way.]
..
Perhaps I should've told him I can understand animals.
no subject
[Shepard's not easily impressed, but Garrus and her have recently been seen in the proximity of relevant Gates and... Well, she is indeed, duly impressed.]
Couldn't hurt. But if you ever gave someone actually complete information, it'd probably mark hell freezing over, so. I won't hold my breath.

What seems to help is when you define the party and let it indulge in 'partying'.
In short, party while you work. Turning on music will help.

Truly, any music will do. It's what you call it that matters.
no subject
Hopefully that translates.

I'd recommend sea shanties myself, but I admit, I'm a biased party.
no subject
[Disco is dead in 2185.]
I have music, though. If it's that simple...
no subject
[A nod.]
I'd say it is. Though they may take to certain kinds of music better than others.
no subject
... Hang on.
[There's a pause as he, GASP, takes off his visor. Fiddling with something in the band. Eventually, what sounds like... club music... is faintly audible from the device.]
How's that? Loud as I can get it.
no subject
In the meantime, that should work just fine! Try it, maybe they'll leave you to work now.
no subject
Worth a shot. I can't afford to lose more screws on this thing.
video: un: bar_cat75 - oh god I missed this!
I'll tell you one thing, you can't make the little asshole leave.
