Anyway Happy Pride. If you're new to this world, it's a month meant to celebrate people who aren't straight and/or cisgendered. Which applies to basically nearly every person on this app. I'm sure everyone else in the comments can explain more.

When I lived in New York I took a wrong turn coming home from a meeting one day and ended up walking in one such parade for quite a while

For you new folks - every June the Vogue runs FABULOUS SEASON. This year our troupe are doing &Juliet! You want a theatre show covering every aspect of the rainbow? This one's GOT it, in spades! We also have our annual drink the progress flag challenge - can you get to the end? Will your beautiful, drunken face be on the back of the bar? MAYBE! And don't forget to dance the night away with our pride evening discos!

Aaaaaaaaaand natch, we end the season with our yearly drag show! Kings and queens can compete for glory and five thousand dollahs!!! We;re going to have some great categories this year, so I expect you to come and bring your ALL.

In the spirit of the season, I have compiled a rainbow of mushrooms for your entertainment and education.

Red - Amanita Muscaria. Better known as the Fly Agaric or the most common image of a 'Toadstool' you'll think of. Side effects include hallucinations, vivid dreams, and loss of motor skills. Do not eat this. I repeat. DO NOT. No touchy. None.
Orange - Laetiporus Sulphureus. Better known by its common name, Chicken of the Woods. This mushroom is edible and is known to have the consistency and taste of chicken when cooked properly. Thankfully it has few dangerous look-alikes. Still, confirm with me if you find any you want to try.
Yellow - Cantharellus Cibarius. The Golden Chanterelle. This mushroom is edible as well, and has the taste of apricots. Be sure to check with me if you consume it, as it has a few look-alikes, like the Eastern Jack-O-Lantern. Also, if you see red spots, it has been damaged, and will not be good to eat.
Green - Stropharia Aeruginosa. They call this one the Blue-Green Stropharia. The jury's still out on its edibility. I've yet to find it in the wild to test myself. If you see it, don't touch it, and call me immediately. It's not just because I want to try a green mushroom, I promise.
Blue - Entoloma Hochstetteri. Now THIS is a blue mushroom. It's common name is the Sky-Blue Mushroom. There's a very low chance you'll ever see this, unless you're planning a trip to New Zealand. No one's sure if this is toxic or not. Hmmm...maybe I should plan a quick trip there to check it out. I'll report once I grab a sample.
Indigo - Lactarius Indigo. The Indigo Milk Cap. Pretty striking, right? It's interesting to note that it turns more green when you cut it from its stem and expose it to air. Also? Completely edible, with no look-alikes that even you guys could mistake it for.
Violet - Cortinarius Violaceus. Common name: Violet Webcap. These seem to prefer to grow near pine trees, though no one knows why. Their scent is said to be similar to cedar wood, and are described as edible. Buuuut in the interest of not having to run more toxicity panels than I'd like, avoid them.

I would like to announce my immense pride for my three beloved children and four grandchildren, all of whom fall under this 'pride' umbrella.

Hugo, my eldest, is currently engaged to a sophisticated and classy wolfman. I received quite the cupcake from him recently and he has my approval. Citrine and Moonstone of unparalleled worth.

Phainon, my middle son, has two partners of equal eccentricity. Both are brilliant gems in their own right, and have met me on separate occasions. They have my approval. Quartz, Amber and Aquamarine.

Mollymauk, my youngest. He has both a wizard to treasure close to his chest and a jumpy little elf. Both are very important to him, in separate but special ways. Amethyst, Garnet and Zircon.

Jun and Varian, two of my grandchildren have gotten married recently, and are celebrating their first 'Pride' as a couple. Do show them extra celebratory congratulations if you see them. Peridot and Obsidian.

Harumasa, who has one very lovely partner by the name of Belle, and another. I do believe his name is Ragnothy. A beautiful sapphire and the local gravel I've seen by my lighthouse.

Ash, a surprising addition to my grandchildren but not an unwelcome one. He has a lovely partner named Fugo, and while we do not converse often, they have my support. A tiger's eye and Tourmaline.

This month was quite popular at the Foundation. In hindsight a rather large amount of my coworkers, particularly those recruited by the Time Keeper, had a tendency to be non-heterosexual.

While I cannot say for certain whether I will be partaking in the daytime festivities this month, light feels particularly aggravating right now, I will attempt to show up to at least some things. As of late other than work I have only been around Meripode or occasionally visiting Mr Lycaon and Mr Hugo. This has caused people to start giving me concerning looks again. So if anyone has suggestions for things to do that happen to be after dusk sets in I would be very appreciative.
