Chateau De Minuit’s Saint Patrick’s Day Bash

[As people approach Chateau De Minuit they are greeted to the front of the casino lit up with green lights. The giant skeleton that holds the sign is dressed in a bright green suit with a matching top hat, around its neck are what look like green mardi gras beads. The greeters at the entrance are dressed to match the skeleton and are handing out gift bags as people walk up.]

[For the first few hours Cifera is standing on the roof, dressed in a black three piece suit with green accents, greeting people as they approach. Her arms are outstretched in greeting and she currently has a very theatrical demeanor.]

Good evening friends and guests to Chateau De Minuit’s St Patricks Day Bash. Come in and enjoy yourselves, there is much to do and don’t forget to grab a gift bag on your way inside!

The Main Hall

[The main hall which normally has various slot machines and training tables for various cards games has been completely changed. Now there are replacing them are various sitting and standing tables with caterers walking around with hors d’oeuvres. There is a stage at the back of the room where there is currently a cover band playing Flogging Molly. Near the stage they have also set up a small dance floor for people to enjoy the music. Everything is spaced out in such a way to encourage mingling and conversation. It is different enough that one has to wonder how they pulled it off.]

[On the serving trays there are various savory and sweet options. For some of the savory options there are reuben finger sandwiches, baked red potatoes with cheese, and honey glazed salmon sliders. For some of the sweet options there are cream puffs, Guinness chocolate cheesecake petit fours, and macarons.]

[Along the walls of the room there are still some game tables set up. The tables have various card games and games of chance available to anyone to play. A few games of pure chance such as roulette. A few traditional card games such as baccarat, black jack, and pai gow. Then in the very corner of the room there is a table with ominous energy. When approached you see a single game in the middle of the table, Uno.]

[Frankly, Garrus doesn't know what the hell this holiday is (and by now he's afraid to ask), but no member of the Normandy crew would turn town a party. He dressed up a bit - dark colors, a little bit of metallic accent here and there. But maybe he shouldn't have.]

[He'd been thinking. A lot. That conversation with Lycaon about his feelings, about his situation. About fairness. And, admittedly, how much he selfishly misses the woman he loves - not hiding it from her. He'd... asked her to come here. For that reason.]

[Until that happens, though, he's mostly lurking around one of the standing tables. He stands out (har har) quite a bit. Even though the whole Angel Form is under control by now.]

[He'll incline his head politely enough, if someone stops nearby.]

So what's this party about, exactly? The green and drunk holiday, right?

[Dance floor? Dance floor.]

[Hermes slapped some green bangles on their arms and called it good. Some of them are glow-stick bracelets. And while the music isn't exactly their speed - they tend to prefer songs with a lot of bass - it's a party. It's music. They're going to dance like their life depends on it.]

[If they end up a couple feet in the air as a result, it's fine. Don't worry about it.]

Hey! C'mon! You wanna dance?

[And needless to say, they inevitably drift toward wallflowers, and try to tug the loners out to dance too.]

The Bar

[The bar is in a room to off to the side of the main hall. It is equally decorated but has a quieter energy to it. Compared to the loud and high energy of the main hall the bar is calm and reserved. Soft conversations are being had over drinks and polite laughter. Approaching the bar you will be greeted by one of the bartenders asking what you would like. In addition to making the usual cocktails there is also a menu with themed cocktails, both alcoholic and non-alcoholic]

[Well Zelos did love gambling and a good party, so he's here! He's wearing an emerald green suit to match the holiday, with his long red hair braided back in a stylish way. Currently he's sitting near the bar as he sips an alcoholic drink- one of the pot of golds- when he decides to make conversation]

Well well, what brings you here tonight~?

[March, a Harp's Song in hand, sits at the bar sipping at her drink with wide eyes. After a moment, she speaks:]

...is this a bad time to admit I don't know who St. Patrick is?

[ There was no way that Anaxa wouldn't attend an event being held by someone that he knew so well from back home. Even if she doesn't remember him the way that he remembers her, it's only fair to treat her as he would the Cipher of his many lifetimes, isn't it?

So he ends up at the party. He pays no mind to the whats or the whys of "Saint Patrick", whoever that is, and simply focuses all his attention on the bar. What's a party without a good drink selection, after all? That was always his favorite part of any banquet involving the Chalice of Plenty. At the moment, he's nursing a Clover Patch, though he has his eye on the other options as well... but there's plenty of time for that. For now, it's him and this drink and his little corner of the bar counter, where he can sit and watch other guests come and go. ]

I wouldn't have expected such a grand event to come out of a gambling hall...

[It's been A Time.]

[A nice party and a lot of decent alcohol is absolutely called for. And maybe a night without any kind of awful dreams or weird waking states. Dressing up is absolutely a must, too, and he's done his hair up in some braids again. A gold and jeweled earring firmly in place on one ear.]

[Zevran, of course, raises his drink to anyone at the bar in his vicinity, with a little wink.]

So. To what do we owe this occasion? A holiday for alcohol and vice? I'm game.

[ Hugo was sitting by the bar with a drink in front of him. Although he wasn't wearing green, his blue butterfly wings did flutter behind him and blue was green in some parts of the world, right? Lingering by a wall like death itself, his signature golden sun coin sat on the table next to the glass he was tracing the rim of with a gloved fingertip. ]

I was ready for being forced to be here to be awful. Celebrating a saint of any kind is not my usual cup of tea... but this is pretty nice, actually. My compliments to the proprietor.

[ Smiling to himself, his hand stopped playing with the glass and picked it up, taking a sip of his lemonade. ]

I wonder how many people already have had to part with fortunes they truly couldn't afford to be without already.

Poker Tournament

[In the poker room there are multiple themed poker tables set up with matching cards. There is a table in the back of the room to sign up for the tournament and a TV with a live updating list of the current rankings displayed. Anyone 18 or older is free to sign up and participate. If people aren’t the gambling type they are free to watch the matches as well]

[OOC characters can roll with any luck related modifiers to determine their ranking in the tournament. Final rankings will be posted at the end of the event.]

[ Husk is the Overlord of Gambling. Deposed and a while lifetime behind, to be sure, but it still counts. And as a result, he can't resist the siren call of a poker table. He's settled himself at a table, gathering his chips and getting ready for the game. He has his comb in his pocket, the only thing really saving him from his horrific cursed bad luck. He might have half a chance of winning!

Not that he's showing any signs of being worried about it. He's looking more confident than he usually does. This, after all, is his element. ]

Gotta admit, she's got a real nice set up here. Ain't no sawdust joint to be sure. You ready to play?

[Off in another corner of the casino is a room set off where the music is muffled as a retreat for those that need to get away from the noise and lights. The room is dimmer with a bunch of cat themed bean bags lying around.]

The Stage(Prize Drawing)

[As the night starts drawing to a a close and the clock strikes midnight all the lights in the main hall go down before spotlights light up the stage. Standing in the middle of the stage is Cifera having clearly had a costume change, now wearing a suit similar to a ringmasters outfit coattails and all.]

Good evening distinguished guests, thank you for enjoying the party and staying till this point. As a show of my appreciation I have a prize drawing for everyone that is here tonight. You may win anything from a hoverboard, to a car, or even my extra special surprise for one lucky winner.

[Cifera makes a sweeping gesture towards the crowd with her cane.]

Let’s see which of you lucky contestants will be the winners of my grand drawing!

Surprise random event!!!

[ Somewhere in the middle of the party, after the guests have gotten settled in and grown accustomed to the bustle and clamor of the casino, something new happens to shake up the evening. Streaks of light go blazing past the windows, shooting up into the sky overhead where they explode into bright, colorful shapes. Some of them are innocent, fun things, like clover shapes, while others are a little more... inappropriate. Those of gentle sensibilities may just want to avert their eyes!

The barrage goes on for some time, though if anyone were to go outside they would find no instigator at all, and simply a box rigged to continue firing until there is nothing left to fire. Instead, the guilty party can be found inside the casino, as if she was there all along. Sparkle had snuck her way inside at some point, and now appropriates the main stage to stand before the crowd and give a great big dramatic bow. ]

おめでとうございます！ And happy holiday, whichever this one may be! I didn't bother to pay attention. All the green is putting me off. I hope you all enjoy my wonderful display outside, courtesy of your lovely proprietress Madam Cifera~!
