University mingle - Spring 2026
WHO: Anyone!
WHERE: At Kaisou University
WHEN: March-April-ish
WHAT: Come hang out at the university and mingle
WARNINGS: Only what you bring with you (please label if needed)

[It's the middle of spring semester at Kaisou University. The tree that houses about half of the university buildings in its branches is in bloom and shedding petals everywhere. Daily classes are in full swing, and the campus facilities are open to visits from members of the public, so feel free to wander in even if you're neither student nor professor.]

Dr. Ratio | Honkai: Star Rail | OTA
[If you have questions about classwork, whether past, present, or future, or if you just want to bother Ratio when he's working but you have enough sense not to interrupt him when he's teaching a class, you can come find him in his office. His scheduled office hours are Wednesday afternoons, but he's in there more often than that, and he leaves his door open unless he has something he really needs to focus on. The office itself is lined with bookshelves and a few elegant pieces of decor, and also various more whimsical gifts people have given to him over the years - mostly rubber ducks.]
[Around campus]
[With the weather so nice, Ratio is spending time reading outdoors more and more often, usually perched on one of the broader branches of the tree. If he's been sitting there for a while, there are petals that have settled in his hair, and at least one apple on the ground next to him; possibly one that you were able to witness dropping out of the upper branches, although where exactly they come from isn't really clear since a tree that's flowering shouldn't have fruit.
If not while he's reading, you can always encounter him getting coffee from the cafeteria, or in and around the library, or just wandering between classes. He's using his wings to travel between levels more often than he used to, but he still spends most of his time on the ground for the sake of not befuddling the non-magical students too badly.]
[Wildcard]
[Or hit me up if there's something else you can think of! Teaching is his passion and he spends more of his time around the university than pretty much anywhere else.]
Office hours
Still, speaking of the panic, he knows he needs to talk to some people about that, and Ratio is on the top of his list. So at some point during Ratio's office hours, Varian will knock before entering, carrying a little box with him. ]
Um, hi, Dr. Ratio. Are you busy?
no subject
Not too busy for you. Do come in.
[He looks Varian up and down with raised eyebrows, relieved that he seems to be doing better.]
I hope your readjustment to attending classes is going smoothly?
no subject
I am! I'm still only doing part time while I helping with Harumasa and now Jun, but it's getting more settled now. I'm caught up with everything I need to catch up with so far.
[He clears his throat, putting his little box on the desk. ]
I um... backed you some cookies. Combo apology and gratitude cookies. For uh... keeping an eye on me, when everything was happening. I... backslid a lot, mentally, and you kept me from... doing worse.
no subject
How thoughtful. Thank you, I'll bring them home to share.
You do look like you're feeling much better. That's good. ...And I truly am glad that I could be on hand to offer that support when you needed it. For your sake as much as for the city's.
no subject
[ He lets out a slow breath. ]
I am feeling a lot better. We're not fully out of the woods yet while Jun has to keep his powers inhibited, but... it's better than it was. I'm not on uh... full anxiety mode, y'know?
But I am grateful for that. I... didn't want to be that person again. I never want to be that person again, and you in no small way kept me from that. I can't... I can't express how grateful I am for it, and that I'm... I'm so sorry for being a nightmare for you to deal with.
office hours
So, here he is, a sixteen-year-old in baggy pants and a t-shirt with some kind of skull imagery on it, wandering the halls of this school with his hands shoved in his pockets, a visitor's badge hung around his neck.
Honestly, he looks like a fish out of water. But he's starting to get used to that, here.
In the days leading up to this visit, Bakugou had managed to look up some classes before coming here. Had scrolled through Rate My Teacher reviews in his daily hour spent sulking in bed before falling asleep, so he knows who he should be on the lookout for. Who he should be talking to, to see if they really are worth his time and effort. And right now, this Dr. Ratio is at the top of them.
Physics, after all, is something that's very important to how Bakugou fights, how he approaches his own quirk. The more he knows and understands of force generation and motion, of energy, the better.]
Oi. [Says the rude teenager looking bored and knocking on the frame of Ratio's open office door.] You that Ratio guy?
no subject
Well, he isn't a student here, and that makes his presence mildly intriguing. Usually if someone other than a student comes here looking for him by name, they're hoping to curry favor, or just star struck - almost always the latter, from someone so young. He's not sure anyone's ever come to his door to speak to him like that even if they were an academic rival. How interesting.]
My name is Dr. Veritas Ratio, yes. And you are?
no subject
Sure, okay. Doctor or whatever. [He takes a step in to the office, shoving his other hand into his pocket, just standing there slouched forward, looking every inch like a simple teenaged punk.]
Bakugou. [He's not even going to bother with his first name, let alone providing it in American order. Ugh.] So you're the physics teacher everyone says is the best?
[He seems very doubtful of that, the judgmental asshole.]
Alhaitham | Genshin Impact | Open to all
[ Do you need to register? See someone in a position of power about loans? Classes? Immunization scheduling? None of those things is his job, but there's a high chance you'll be sent to him anyway. Going up the elevator that leads to his office may seem intimidating, but once you arrive, the room opens up into a circular room with bookshelves everywhere in a white room that looks like it's trying to return to its conservatory roots.
Look closely enough, and you'll find Haitham's desk, covered in books and papers with him behind it, napping with an eagle wing folded in front of his face to block the light. His ears are covered by his signature headset while his phone sits on a small pile of papers, illuminated and showing what lofi song is soothing him to sleep today.
... but he is the one you need for official initialing, so good luck.]
[On Campus]
[ If you are lucky to fond him outside of office hours, you can catch the illusive man while he's awake. He's sitting on one of the many branches of the university tree with a gray nondescript books sitting next to him while he's slowly drinking coffee and staring out at the city as if he was still trying to figure out why this school being in a tree is just a thing that happens.
... There's still a chance he's needed for work things or friendship! Or Yelling. there's probably a lot of reasons to yell at the usually missing man while he's peacefully enjoying a quiet moment. Regardless of what happens, it seems the longer he sits there by himself, the sleepier he seems to get. ]
[Wildcard]
[ If you're brave and talented, you can possibly find him elsewhere! Possibly. ]
office! good luck
He's pretty sure there's supposed to be an entire department fielding questions like this, not just one guy, but. Who knows. Maybe America just does things even stupider than he thought they did.
Though, as he steps out of the elevator into this huge, book-filled room, he's realizing that maybe it's just this place that's stupid.
Bakugou takes a moment to slowly walk forward, taking in his surroundings, the layout of the room, the general look of the quality of everything in here. It's... acceptable, he guesses. Though he doesn't exactly have much of a frame of reference for stuff like this. Still, by the time he makes it to the paperwork covered desk, he's already getting bored by how nerdy it is in here.
And then, he sees that the guy he was sent up here to meet is... asleep??????
At the very least, the fact that Bakugou can see a wing at play here means that he's at least a little more satisfied that this isn't just some useless educational institution.]
Hey. [He calls, pausing for a second before trying again a little louder.] Heyyyyyyy.
[Nothing.
Well, at least he can say he tried something else before simply raising his hand and setting off a very loud explosion in his palm.]
Wake up already!
no subject
Haitham's wing lifted, a dead-eyed stare being lofted at the blond teen making a ruckus. With a heavy sigh, he flexed the wing and pulls it behind him, the appendage disappearing in a small flash of light. ]
What department didn't do their job now? What's your question?
[ He didn't look old enough to be one of the files actively sitting on his desk, so who lost their living chemistry experiment? ]
no subject
Interesting enough that the absolute lack of a reaction to the wake up call Bakugou gave this guy isn't pissing him back off. If anything, it reminds him of the teachers back at U.A. It reminds him of Aizawa.
... honestly, this guy kind of gives off that 'tired, could care less' vibe, too.]
Probably all of them. [A simple enough answer. But Bakugou's going to just shove his hands back into his pockets, tilting his chin back as he sizes Alhaitham up.] I was looking for admissions. I'm getting my GED this month, so I need to know how to apply to this shit-hole.
Agnes Tachyon | Umamusume | OTA
[Carolyn after being let out of the hospital can be found usually wandering the halls talking to herself, or in the library cross referencing medical texts and taking notes. On a very rare occasion you may even see her in a class on a day when there isn’t an exam.]
2. The Campus Courtyard
[On a particularly nice day in March she can be found sitting under a tree resting her leg. Surrounded by her pokemon and her palisman as she takes notes on a tablet and laptop. Occasionally her Iron Valiant will bring her a cup of tea.]
Jon Snow | A Song of Ice and Fire
He's a history major so he's almost always surrounded by papers anyway. Right now, though, he looks about a step from falling fast asleep over what looks like a print-out of a medieval manuscript, only just kept awake by the cup of iced coffee he's grimly sipping from. The second he hears someone step closer, he glances up.]
Is the city burning down? If not, I really have to turn in a comparison paper the day after tomorrow.
[But he will scooch over anyway and even push a few of his materials aside.]
Re: Jon Snow | A Song of Ice and Fire
Thank you, this is one of the only spaces left in the library and I appeared to forget that I had a final essay due tonight. The little things that slip your mind, you know? And judging by the looks my professor gave me I don’t think I will be able to get another extension, something about “any more and it will look like preferential treatment”.
