Good day, my dears~ Ready to hear some good news? It's a touch startling coming from me, I know, but it is good news. Mostly.

I found March.

She's currently trapped in the Spirit Realm, but I've found a way to get to her before it swallows her whole. Ordinarily I'd simply force my way in and get her out, but the Spirit Realm isn't like the memoria I'm used to working with. Brute-forcing it might work, but it's too much of a gamble—and with March's life at stake, it isn't one I'm willing to make.

So here I am: asking for your help.

March loves this world, dearly. Help me get her back here, so she can continue to live freely and well, in this world that she's calling home.

I'll be waiting just outside her place.

But this Spirit Realm is different from the Memory Zone, and she refuses to risk March. She can't. March is a gentle soul and the world will be so much darker for the loss of her.

[It's a very weird feeling, as the pieces finally fit themselves together in his mind. The memories that he's recovering are more fragmented than usual, memories of working long exhausting nights to create a vaccine against something insane, memories of reading a book about a heartrending adventure that involved people he knew personally going into terrible danger.

But he knows now why he's spent the last few months writing down jellyfish facts in red pen. And the fact that he has seems to suggest that his personal involvement is warranted. If nothing else, he wants to see the end of this chapter of the story.]

On stuff like this, my sister usually helps out with navigating the Spirit Realm and coordinating back up- but the little star of our operation is going to be out of commission for a bit.

[Dan Heng has been hoping to meet up with March since he hasn't seen her in a concerning amount of time. He's been chalking it up to her perhaps wanting to spend more time with her girlfriend over the holiday season. Then the Barcelona expedition came up that he needed to help with, and he decided to take a bunch of photos as a gift for her after his return. Thanks to Anby, he has many pictures of the city to bring back to March so that she can feel like she'd been there in spirit.

In fact, he's just finished putting together the digital album when he receives this text message.

From Evernight.

The dragon goes completely still as he reads it over carefully. Twice—no, four times. He has to make absolutely certain there's no falsehood in between the lines. Nothing sketchy, nothing that makes him think that Evernight did another hostile takeover to protect March.

Nothing.

March has been lost in the Spirit Realms and he had no idea. He thought that Sampo's plight with the Cruxis Crystal had hurt him deeply, but... no. Sampo cut him to the bone, but March's disappearance without his notice?

That cuts him down to his soul.

Not again, he thinks as he closes his eyes against the pain. It brings with it a sudden paling of his face. It feels as if his blood rushes out of his face like a receding wave, making him lightheaded for a second, before crashing down against him like a raging tsunami.

Dan Heng has to bring her back first. His guilt can come once she's safe.]

I'll be there.

[It's a promise. His voice sounds determined and doesn't give away any of his inner feelings. It only contains determination.

However....

Dan Heng makes this next part private, though Jing Yuan and Blade might still be able to hear it. He needs to know and he doesn't care if his partners can hear this exchange or not. He's long past any desire to keep hist emotions so tightly controlled around them.]

How long has she been missing?

[A hint of emotion escapes his careful control. A hint of draconic anger, but it's unclear if it's directed at Evernight... or himself.]

Since midway through December. I woke up here and she wasn't there. My personal theory is whatever force chooses us...might've had some poor timing. Or perhaps chose the wrong girl, so the right one had to catch up.

[She recognizes that draconic fury. She's had it directed toward her before, and just as before, her deadpan monotone does not change even when talking to him.]

Calm, guard of the Trailblaze and POKEGO. I don't mean to stay awake for longer than I must. I want her back, too.

[Harumasa gets the text from Evernight and feels his heart sink to his feet. They haven't talked too much outside of Meropide's chat (and during the prophecy post, but she doesn't know that), but he can safely consider her a friend. A friend who sounds like she's in dire trouble.

And Harumasa's too sick to be able to do anything to help her.

There are times in which he truly hates his own body. This is absolutely one of those times.

All he can do is watch and pray.]

As much as I want to join the rescue mission, I think more people will be upset with me if I do than if I don't. Including March herself.
