The days are getting colder and colder as we're in the final month of autumn. Many of the leaves have fallen off the tree, leaving them barren and ready to sleep. The nights grow long, and thanks to the influence of the shadow month, they are even darker and more oppressive than usual. Shadows grow long and light simply doesn't travel as far. As usual, November is a gloomy month.

New Region Discovered: Kitakami

During this month several people have been motivated to search the Kanto realm for the elusive Herba Mystical plant, a rare plant that's said to have magical healing properties, after Lycaon and Sampo found the plant and... Sampo ate it. Unfortunately, the search hasn't proved very successful, as it's not a plant that's native to the Kanto realm.

However as they continue to explore, rumors start to spread about the northeast area of the Kanto. Rumors of an unusual looking bear that appears at night, called the Bloodmoon bear. Should you pursue these rumors, you will discover an unusual looking ursaluna that doesn't look like the normal variety found in Kanto. If you follow it's tracks, you'll find that it came from a mountain pass that crosses past the mountain range on the northern part of Kanto. It seems something has made the bear wander down south. If you're brave enough to examine the bear, examinations will show that it's suffering from being exposed to an unusual energy signature not normally found in Kanto. It should be easy enough to clear up with some healing magic and rest for the bear, but it does raise some more questions.

Should you decide to follow through the mountain pass- you'll eventually come upon a mountain valley with a long abandoned mountain village. This was once Kitakami, a rather secluded area back when this realm was populated. It was probably a peaceful place to live, though it's seen better days. Scattered throughout the valley, there are large crystal clumps. Senior members of POKEGO may recognize these as Tera Crystals- a special type of crystal that is found in the Paldea realm in Spain. Normally, these crystals could be used to open up a small pocket dimension where Herba Mystica is likely to grow but... for some reason, these Tera Crystals have been drained of most of their energy. In addition, this area definitely seems to be affected by the unusual energy signature that was found on the ursaluna.

Investigation of this will lead them to the Crystal Pools in the Oni Mountains. There, they will find that due to a spirit realm tear, the tera crystals in the area have begun having an infestation of ether crystals, a dark crystal that prolong exposure to it can cause corruption and mutation in anything around it. This stuff has clearly been siphoning the tera crystals of all their energy in order to grow more. Leaving this stuff alone will definitely be bad for the Kanto realm, so characters will need to seal the tear and destroy the ether crystals. They'll also need to eliminate a couple monsters that were possibly overly corrupted Pokemon, but it's fine. Don't worry about it.

Once the tear has been sealed and the ether crystals have been eliminated, the Kitakami region will be safe from harm. However, it looks like the tera crystals are still depleted, so you won't be able to gain any Herba Mystica today. Seems the search will have to continue another way...

Taken: Thanskgiving Edition

It's the weekend of November 15th, two weeks before the real Thanksgiving. On that weekend, many characters will find themselves waking up in a house that looks like it's been decorated by a stereotypical grandmother. Everyone here is no longer wearing their normal tops, but rather have been dressed in autumn themed sweaters of various designs. They are in a massive dining area, with multiple tables set up with name cards for each of the characters: a seating chart, in other words. In the middle of each table, there reads a note:

Dear Libra App Users,

For far too long, you have been showing preferential treatment towards Halloween and Christmas, while completely overlooking the wondrous holiday between them! As such, I've taken it upon myself to humbly invite you to a Thanksgiving celebration! In order to leave, you must fully celebrate this holiday in all its glory! A list of tasks will be written on the back, and you must complete ALL of them. After all, that's the only way you'll see this is TRULY the best holiday!

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Tom Turkey the Thanksgiving Titan

So in other words, the spirit of Thanksgiving has been snubbed for so long that they snapped and is now taking it out on everyone. This is your life now.

True to his words, any attempts to leave the realm will not work. It seems you really will have to play this turkey's game. Should you look on the back of the sheet, you will see a list of tasks that people will have to accomplish for each table. The list of tasks reads as follows:

Each Table Must Complete the Following to Understand the Spirit of Thanksgiving:

• Cook the following (mandatory): Turkey, Cranberry Sauce, Mashed Potatoes (from scratch), Gravy, Stuffing, Green Bean Casserole, Dinner Rolls, Pumpkin Pie, Apple Pie.
• Cook at least 4 of the following side dishes:
  • [OOC Note: These dishes can be decided by the PLAYERS (not the characters), or selected by RNG. The dish options are as followed: Aspic, Biscuits, Boiled Pearl Onions, Broccoli with Hollandaise, Brussel Sprouts, Butternut squash, Candied Yams, Corn, Deviled eggs, Kielbasa, Macaroni & cheese (from scratch), Mashed Squash, Mixed Veggies, Molasses Pudding, Peas Pudding, Pecan Pie, Pumpkin Bread, Pumpkin Cheesecake bars, Roasted Sweet Potatoes, Rutabaga, Salad (Caesar, fruit, carrot, ambrosia, jello), Salt Beef, Sweet Potato Casserole (with marshmallows), Turnip Greens, and Veggie tray with dip.]
• Select a drink menu with a minimum of five drinks. Egg Nog is banned.
• Set the dinner table (make sure to use a 17 piece setting) for every chair.
• Watch the Game
• Play Catch in the yard with a Parental/Child figure
• Play at least 1 of the following party games: Charades, Pictionary, Turkey Bingo, Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit (2000 edition), Scrabble, Risk
• Say Grace before the meal (any religion will do).
• Sit down at the table and enjoy at least one full plate of the meal (EVERY person must do this!).
• Take a lap around the yard after the main course, and follow it up with a dessert!
• Tell the entire table what you're thankful for
• Wash your dishes and leave the kitchen as clean as you found it!

In other words, every person at the table has to work together to accomplish all the tasks. You can figure out which table you belong to by looking at the namecards that are set up at each chair on the tables (they also have a little "reserved for [TABLE NAME]" card at the middle of each table). Some of these tables seem to be sorted based on people who know each other, while other placements seem much more random. And are you one of the unlucky folks who see your name on multiple tables? Whoops, looks like you're pulling double duty, as you'll have to make sure all the tasks are completed at every table you're assigned at. Don't worry, when it comes to meal time, time will warp so you are somehow able to attend every single meal at a timely manner (in other words, don't think too much on it).... it will do nothing to help with your appetite levels though.

[OOC Note: Players can decide which table(s) they want their characters to be seated at! There's no maximum number of tables characters can attend (so long as their stomachs can handle the plate per table), but please be sure to check with the other players before joining a table as some players may have some prior agreed upon CR plans with the truth bombs. Also let the mods know if you are making a new table, and they'll be happy to create a new toplevel for your group!]

The Living Room and Yard

Attached to the dining room area is a living room that is equally decorated like a grandmother's house at thanksgiving. There's a couple couches that are centered around an old style tv where The Game is on. The game is American Football, with the teams being the Mayfield Mayflowers versus the Recolle City Turkeys. Thanks to it being on antenna, sometimes the reception will go out and people will have to adjust. Fortunately, you only have to watch about a quarter worth of the game for it to count.

Also in the living room, you'll find the collection of party games that you're required to play if you want to get free. Gather up a group and begin a game- you're welcome to play with people from other tables! On the far side of the living room, there's a door to a fenced in backyard that's also decorated for a perfect thanksgiving. There's a number of footballs lying around- so grab a person in your life you consider to be a parent or child figure and start tossing the ball around! Weirdly, whoever is considered the parental figure will feel compelled to start sharing life advice while the ball is being thrown.

Across the yard, there's another building that's about the size of a garage. If you head into this room, you'll find that it's not so much a garage so much as a photography studio. There there are multiple Thanksgiving-esque settings set up, as well as multiple cameras available. You even have access to a magical wardrobe and changing area that let's you change into any outfit you'd like (except for Christmas-themed clothing. That is denied). Once you're looking your best- you'll be able to take any kind of photos you want! Selfies, couple photos, family photos- you name it! It's an excellent opportunity to get some holiday photos with your loved ones. Once you leave the photo studio though, your clothing will revert back to the holiday sweater you were in before (though the rest of the outfit can stay).

And don't bother trying to escape through the yard. Any attempts to climb the tall wooden fence will find you just right back in the yard you were in. Do it enough times and you'll find yourself magically restricted to being inside the house.

↣ LIVING ROOM AND YARD INTER-TABLE TOPLEVEL

The Kitchen

Welcome to the Warzone.

The kitchen appears like a sizeable home kitchen, fully decorated for thanksgiving to the point of there being crocheted toaster covers with turkeys. There are multiple fridges and ovens to accommodate the number of people eating here.... but there's not enough where you don't have to share ovens, stove tops, and other cooking utensils with other tables while you cook. These cooking appliances and utensils too are of varying quality, ranging from high quality premiere cookware to extremely cheap stuff that barely works. In the fridge and pantries there are a regenerating number of ingredients for any of the dishes you need.... except for the turkeys. There are exactly the right number of turkeys for each table to get one, and no more. And the worst part of these turkeys? A couple of the turkeys have not been thawed- leaving them still very much in a frozen state. You'll have to figure out some way to work with this frozen turkey. If you get desperate enough, in the corner there is the equipment required to allow you to deep fry a turkey. Maybe that will be your salvation...?

That said, if you do absolutely manage to botch your bird (or you don't eat meat), don't worry! In the back of the fridges, you will find the back up plan: loafs of tofurkey. If you serve these at the dinner table, they will also count for the turkey criteria.

The turkeys aside, at least there's plenty of ingredients for all the other dishes. They even allow you to get rather creative with your meals, having a wide variety of options for you to choose from (or to use by accident) as you prepare your numerous dishes. Aside from the dishes specified to be made from scratch, characters have the option to either do it the traditional way to show off your cooking prowess, or find shortcuts to get the meals done quicker (such as the famous cans of cranberry goo). However weirdly there are no ingredients available that would be more typical for Christmas dishes. There's not a single piece of peppermint and you can't find ham anywhere you look. Is Tom Turkey that salty towards the bigger holiday?

Got assigned a recipe you aren't familiar with? Well good news, there's a shelf of cookbooks! Bad news, all of them are old cookbooks from the 1950's that are clearly out of date to modern cooking methods (as well as dated in other ways if you know what I mean). Sometimes they are missing steps, and sometimes they are using unfamiliar terminology without any explanation to what it means. Do your best to decipher the recipe, or maybe ask one of your fellow cooks in the kitchen.

Just remember, any dishes you dirty and messes you made will have to be cleaned up later, so be mindful as that as you prepare the meal!

↣ KITCHEN INTER-TABLE TOPLEVEL

The Dining Room and Meal

It all comes back to the dining room in which you awoke. As stated before, the dining room area has a number of tables laid out with namecards for each of the people expected to sit at the table. These tables come in all shapes and sizes: from long mahogany tables, to round family dinner tables, to giant banquet tables for a large party, to....... extra short tables that are colorfully decorated in a way a kid's table would be, even if most people assigned to the kid tables are definitely not kids. But hey at least the kid sized tables come with some perks! They get turkey cups full of crayons, a thanksgiving activity sheet (though a couple of them are weirdly religious), and for those picky eaters? There are a stack of dino nugget tv dinners you can eat (though you still have to cook everything else). And just like any thanksgiving, there's some tables that simply lack the right number of chairs.

Against one wall of the dining room, there is the cabinets that are full of various dinner sets that you're meant to use to set the table. All of these dinner sets look expensive, and are definitely decorated for thanksgiving in mind. In the corner nearby, there is a home bar that has a couple fridges and racks that are full of drinks. You can pick any kind of drinks you want to serve with your thanksgiving meal as long as there's five options.... though unsurprisingly, eggnog is nowhere to be found.

Once everything is ready, it's time for the meal itself. With everyone seated, they'll be expected to kick off the meal by saying grace. Your table can do a traditional version of it... or just wing it and make up something that sounds close enough. Then you'll be allowed to eat whatever foods that your tablemates were able to cook up in the kitchen. Hope you guys managed to make something edible, as you have to eat at least one plate's worth of it.

However, even eating your meal isn't as simple. As anytime the conversation starts to stall at the table (and it can be even slightly), things will get shaken up with a truth bomb. Out of nowhere, a disembodied voice will announce a secret of one of the characters to the rest of the table. These secrets can be anywhere from the mundane to the outright reality shattering- but they are still secrets none the less. Nothing inspires good conversation like brand new information right?

After you finish the meal (and any of the awkward conversations the truth bombs bring), everyone will need to do a lap around the yard before coming back to have a bit of dessert to finish off the meal. Nothing smooths thing over like a nice slice of pie, right?

Aftermath

With the meal completed, all that's left is to do any clean up that was left from before the meal. When the final dish is cleaned and everything passes muster, the characters will find them back to where they were before and with their outfits returned to normal (though their stomachs will still be full). At their homes, everyone will receive their own photo books that are full of photos of their holiday experience. For those who took advantage of the photo studio (or took their own photos through the holiday- the photo book will be full of those lovely photos). If you didn't use the photo studio or barely took any photos? The photo book will instead be full of "candid" photos taken somehow through the night-- and many of them will be unflattering.

But with the Spirit of Thanksgiving appeased, characters will be able to return to their daily lives in relative peace. Though keep in mind... it's only mid-November. You still have your actual thanksgiving to go through later this month. Good luck!

OOC Notes

The dominant element this month is Shadow! Anyone with an affinity to the shadow element will find themselves boosted throughout the month. This could mean a boost to their power, having more energy, feeling more inspired with creativity, having better luck on different attempts -- the boost can manifest in all sorts of different ways. By contrast, anyone with an affinity for Light will be experiencing the opposite. Perhaps their powers will be weaker, they have less energy, they're having a creative block or general worse luck - again it can manifest in all sorts of way and players are free to play with this mechanic as they'd like.

[It was a bit of an odd lead. Chasing after a lead from a Pokemon whose base form is native to Johto. Granted, Wei Wuxian and his Hisuian Zoroark have chased stranger leads. And Wei Wuxian alone has followed breadcrumbs buried in dirt to find what he was looking for in the past. A lead is a lead. And Herba Mystica was its own oddity in Kanto.]

Just follow the weird and it'll lead to something right, Suoluo? [Said to his Hisuian Zoroark who was at his side right now. The Illusion Pokemon seemed to respond with a shy little nod of his head while also looking around nervously at anyone else around.]

It's fine, I know you're not gonna hurt anyone right? [It was intended towards his Pokemon, but Wei Wuxian was looking at whoever happened to be nearby on his search while saying it.]

Ghilley, having grown up generally agreeable and completely wreckless, fulfills the best niche of Golden Retriever, idiot jock, and theater kid that he can; a tiny social chameleon that zipped around between various groups of people in his unending thirst to be important enough for people to include and remember and he’s not going to examine how the dreams he has sometimes of another lifetime ring much the same because then people might try to get him to talk to somebody with a degree, and baby girl life is too short for that.

Thanksgiving being Thanksgiving, the most Noa can recall ever doing is maybe having a specific dinner?? Maybe???

Gozaburo probably had staff to handle it all.

At any rate, the suburban flair is all entirely foreign to his human brain, let alone his cat brain, but the latter seems to at least get some enjoyment out of watching this football game from the back of the couch. His eyes are as wide as they can get. Locked in. Transfixed.

Lycaon | Clown House Fun Times

a. Johnny has 19 bottles of dishsoap

[Lycaon is not one to shirk his duties when it comes to food preparation, and the table for Gilgamesh and Sampo doubly so. This was his employer and his state mandated clown wife, who just happened to be one of Hugo's friends(?) and a good acquaintance of his.

The turkey was thankfully defrosted, and for this one Lycaon was using a meat injector to put butter under the skin with herbs and spices. If this turkey was to be a moist one, this was a proper method to go with.

He's also written out ingredients for vegetables to be laid out in the pan, as well as some rosemary. Dan Heng would likely pick up that part. Normally he would insist on doing it all himself, but Gilgamesh has given him an important task to do while he preps.

His eye squints as he thinks out loud, only looking away from the turkey as he goes to his clipboard, which seems to have a logic problem grid laid out, handwritten by Lycaon himself.]

Phainon cannot be within sight of Sir Mydeimos. Mr. Koski must be next to Sir Gilgamesh, who is at the head of the table. The other end must either be Miss Ritsuka or someone Sir Gilgamesh can tolerate. The potatoes much face north northwest and cannot be next to the candied yams...

b. Wait why does Johnny have so many soaps

[The turkey was cooking, the seating chart was nearing completion, and he had finished both the pies, drinks, and the candied yams (He put Hugo's name on this one, the man did cut the yams quite pristinely).

Dan Heng seemed to be handling the rest of the food, which was a blessing in disguise. He would've done it, but the fatigue was really starting to wear on him. So he'll take this opportunity to properly arrange the items on the table for utmost efficiency in serving.

If you have any side dishes, feel free to provide them to him. He'll place them perfectly.]

c. Mind yo' business, David!

[Dinner so far has gone off without a hitch. Lycaon may even say this is redemption for the party of Gilgamesh's where every conceivable thing went wrong.

Alas, peace was not meant to last. Just when the conversation starts to dip and the white noise chatter starts to dissipate, the disembodied voice of secret infodumping takes stage. This time about Lycaon.]

Lycaon has rejoined the illustrious phantom thief syndicate known as Mockingbird! He was one of its founding members, but split off from it due to unreconcilable circumstances. But he has 'returned to work'.

Also, after splitting from the group, he was left in a mountain of debt to pay on his prosthetics. They've been paid off, but boy was that a rough time!

[Lycaon freezes, hands hovering over his silverware as he closes his eyes. He certainly wasn't ready for a group of people to learn he'd rejoined Mockingbird. Let alone one of his most...generous employers.

If that is a dealbreaker for his employment, then he supposes he'll take that left stage. He's not going back on that decision. As for the second half of that secret...he doesn't care. It's a part of his past that's long been over.]

[ Persephone is not one for family gatherings. Largely because she absolutely hates most of her family. If she thinks back in her Chastity memories enough, she can remember thanksgivings held with her family, though. She can be found helping with any fruit or vegetable based meals, by making said fruits or vegetables by scratch. Otherwise, she largely stays on the sidelines. She's not the most sociable deity in the world, and this is rather a lot of socialising to happen, truth be told.

Eventually, her silence will catch her out, as a voice rings out over their little celebration. ]

The only reason Persephone didn't die with her mother is because Hermes dragged her away.

Ritsuka was... not terribly familiar with deviled eggs. She knew what they were, certainly, she'd been exposed to many, many foods through the various Servants who took turns cooking in Chaldea's cafeteria, but that was a wholly different matter from knowing how they were made. Let alone making them herself.

Which was why she was currently hunched over a book in the kitchen, a determined expression on her face and a bowl full of uncooked eggs beside her as she muttered to herself.

"So, first, they have to be boiled..."

If she was going to do this, she was going to do it right. The lessons she'd been given in Chaldea demanded no less of her!


[II. Game On]

Somehow, Ritsuka had found a mahjong set. Where or how was unimportant, what mattered was that, as soon as she laid eyes on it, she just felt like she needed to play it. Whether anyone else here knew how to play was beside the point, she could always explain as they went, right?

In any case, she was busy setting it up and beckoning over anyone who came near, whether they looked interested or not.

"This really needs four people to play, though if we have more we could probably do teams or something..."


[III. A Secret Revealed]

All things said, so far this hadn't been so bad. The food was good, and Ritsuka naturally enjoyed the company, as well. Eventually, though, there was a lull in the conversation. A pleasant lull, at least as far as she was concerned, but a lull none the less. And before anyone could speak up, a strange voice abruptly broke the silence for them:

"Ritsuka Fujimaru was instrumental in saving humanity multiple times, being not only the literal anchor for the countless contracted Heroic Spirits, but also the figurative one inspiring hope and resolve in all around her by refusing to give up on those herself."

The look on her face, along with sheer surprise and no small amount of embarrassment, probably made it clear that she very, very badly wanted to argue with that statement. And was failing at thinking of a good way to do it, but wanted to none the less.


[IV. A Confession Heard]

Normally, Ritsuka would not give hearing her friends' secrets much thought. Especially those exposed against their will. She was the sort who would reason that, if they wanted to talk about it, they would, and if they didn't, then it was none of her business to dwell on. Well, perhaps she might offer her help if it were relevant, but otherwise, there was no need nor point to make a bigger deal about things than necessary.

The problem this time was, the secret in question was about her. One moment she'd been in the middle of eating some turkey, the next she was glancing up in surprise as she heard her name, fork paused in midair.

Immediately several various conversations they'd had sprang to mind, suddenly put into a whole other context with this new information. Had he felt that way all along? Was that what he'd really meant? Perhaps she shouldn't have been surprised, but Ritsuka had never been the type to presume, and Arjuna, well, if he was keeping something to himself she didn't have reason to pry.

But before she could even properly process that initial piece of information, the second part hit, and her train of thought abruptly came to a screeching halt. She remembered the Heroic Spirit Arjuna well, it hadn't been all that long ago for her that she'd last interacted with him, even. And while he'd certainly been aloof, perhaps even cold at first, once they'd built a rapport he'd been a devoted and loyal ally. A hero in a similar vein to the noble and dutiful knights, one who wished to continue to fight at her side for as long as he was able.

Or... had that really been all there was to it?

A piece of turkey meat slipped off the prongs of her fork and flopped back to land on the plate below as Ritsuka tried to process this new information. She might need a minute.


[V. So, about that...] CLOSED to Yasuho

At some point after dinner, while Arjuna was busy handling all the cleanup, Ritsuka found herself wandering over to her friend. There'd been, well, a lot to take in tonight, after all, and her mind was still reeling from certain things in particular. Having someone to talk to would probably help, not to mention maybe even getting some advice, seeing as how she had no idea what to even think about all this right now.

"Ah, Yasuho..."

[This was by far and wide the largest of the tables. Venti and Zhongli had likely invited everyone they could get their hands on to join them at the table. There didn't seem to be much for Flins to do. He simply brought another bottle of vodka as a tribute both to his old friends and the new ones he's met in Kaisou.

He pours himself a little shot glass of Vodka as he sits at the table, admiring the clear liquid in all its splendor as the white noise of chatter around him sounds. It was like a symphony all on its own, and he treasures this moment of humans enjoying their merriment.

It's not until food is served and he's sitting with a plate full of treats for his lantern, that the omnipotent voice of truth waits for its moment. It waits until people have simmered their conversation down to a low mumble, enjoying their food.

Flins has a feeling what's going to happen, and sets his shotglass down, putting his elbows on the table and hands on his chin, waiting to see what the voice says now.]

The Fabergé egg, 'The Cockerel', valued at $21,000,000 US dollars and owned by Kyryll Chudomirovich Flins, has been sold to Zhongli for a 1933 Double Eagle coin, worth $18,900,000 US dollars. The remaining price difference was paid in cash as well as commemorative Mora and lesser valued coins.

Soon his nightmare will be over. Just... a little longer. He's got this. He'll be fine!

Harumasa's taking a sip of his drink when the conversation suddenly lulls.]

At the age of 16, Harumasa was completely isolated from other people for two years with only doctors asking him questions about his condition, and he was never allowed to talk or make noise otherwise!

[This was another dinner Lycaon made triply sure not to mess up. Defrosted Turkey, with the standard vegetables and rosemary at the bottom, with lemons scattered to give a refreshing taste with the rest of the herbs he'd put under the skin of the bird with butter. He'd already somehow mastered an aspic recipe (see: New Eridu Table) that is somehow edible against all odds, and has a loaf of fresh pumpkin bread in the oven as well.

The side dishes are either already prepared or in the process. Right now he's pressing the dough for the pumpkin pie, the fatigue of five meals really starting to show on his face now. He just has to get through this last one, and thankfully, it's the smallest, quaintest one.

His tail swishes back and forth, trying not to let himself celebrate too soon. He feels like he's reached the end of a long, long gauntlet run of challenges. He wants to have hope.]

[Dan Heng's having a good time, all things considered. He has to be extremely mindful of his tail, even going so far as to hide it with his Cloudhymn magic to make sure it doesn't hit anyone in the kitchen. Yes, the kitchen space is a nightmare, but he does genuinely enjoy cooking the food for everyone at the table. The help he gets from Lauma, Josuke, and Riku is more than welcome, though.

The point is, he's in his element.

The problem is Tom Turkey.

A lot of them are introverts at this table, which normally isn't a bad thing. However, in the lull of conversation is when something of Dan Heng's past is revealed.]

In his past life, Dan Heng was put into solitary confinement at a maximum security prison in the coldest depths. The crimes of his previous incarnation should have been pardoned by law after his rebirth, but instead he was kept imprisoned with his magic sealed via Dracocatena Nails impaled through his wrists and was chained to the walls to limit his movements for centuries before his exile.

[Dan Heng seems to remain calm, but his face has gone paler than normal and his hands seem to tremble a little. He picks up his glass of cider, takes the world's tiniest sip, and sets it down.]

[Lycaon can't say he's worked with Tofu in turkey form before. Sure, he knew it existed in some aspect, but it wasn't his area of expertise. No matter. This was for the Vogue, so he would be sure to make it taste as if there was no difference.

On the plus side, it didn't have the pesky problem of bones. It was just breast meat (or what would normally be that) as he starts to season it with sage and onion. He could thinly slice this for a nice, fanciful look too.

With gravy prepared alongside it, there's a chance this can turn out just as legitimate as a real turkey. Let's hope.]

It's..nice to be able to celebrate with my coworkers, at least.

[This table was one Lycaon was going to lock the fuck in for. The turkey is absolutely defrosted. In fact, it'll be immaculate. He's not going to fail this for his social circle from his past and present life.

After fighting for another spot in the oven for this one, being able to brine it and inject butter underneath to insure it's moist, he goes to see what he's assigned for the random dish.

It's...a good thing he's covered in fur. The colour draining from his face would turn him white regardless.

b. The Hachiko

[Surprisingly, the New Eridu members had worked equally to make this dinner a success. The work was evenly distributed and even the white wine aspic with soft boiled eggs and vegetables was actually...good? (84/100). Lycaon's stress had worked a miracle there. It tastes unique all its own, but the wine helps round out the overly gelatinous texture of the dish.

Things were going smoothly.

That is..until the disembodied voice of truth decides to drop the lump he's had in his stomach for months right on the table in front of everyone.]

While Lycaon seems to be taking this all in stride, in truth he is deeply worried about you all with godlike possessions. That his time with you all is limited, that you're all on borrowed time with him and you'll slip through his fingers one by one. That he'll be the only one left, and that he couldn't save you.

[Lycaon's hands freeze, and his blood runs colder than any ice he could form with his hands.

His world becomes foggy and blurred, and his ears fold down in both shame and shock. That...that wasn't ever supposed to come out. His friends had enough to worry about. He was supposed to be the rock for them all.]
