A Pokémon Contest for Your Troubles

WHO:You!
WHERE: Pokémon Contest Area
WHEN:October!
WHAT:Pokemon Contests
WARNINGS:Cuteness Overload

What time is it?

[Before the Contest]

[A small crowd of people are gathered outside of the contest hall. Maybe you’re even one of them! All of their adorable critters are dressed to the nines.]

[Perhaps this is your chance to show off? To make conversation? To get a leg up on the opponent? Either way, you’re here with your adorable and/or fearsome critter today, and you’re here to make waves.]

[Contest/Judging]

[It’s time!]

[Whether that means presenting your Pokemon to the judges or having your Pokemon show off its cool moves, the contest goes forward. Everyone is here to try their best, and that includes you!]

[Results]

[Perhaps you won! Perhaps you lost! Either way, you didn’t come here alone.]

[Take some time to cuddle up with your Pokemon, or converse with the other contestants. Did your friends do well? Poorly? Were they disqualified?]

[Everything Else!]

[Have at and have fun!]

[i; kanto]

[Viktor's health made an alarmingly fast 180 with the turn of the month and shift of the spirit vein; going straight from worst to best affinity was always a bit of a shock to the system, but not an unwelcome one. So, when some of the others were tossing around the idea of a pre-Contest trip to Kanto, Viktor readily welcomed the chance to get the hell out of his house for the first time in nearly a full month.]

[It might have been difficult even on a good day, but having Blitzcrank around was a good layer of security if things decided to take a turn for the particularly dangerous. For now, the massive Golurk was happily enjoying all the open space, rocketing about with its full jet engine self while Viktor himself was making an effort to navigate uneven ground. Which was perfectly fine, until the invasion of airspace was taken as a grievous insult.]

[Which was to say, a massive Corviknight took offense to the enormous ghost robot in its territory--taking it up with Viktor in a sudden dive-bomb with its talons forward. He flinched back, opening his mouth to call for Blitzcrank, but-]

[CLONK]

[With a rustling from the nearby bushes, a pink blur leapt out to intercept the diving bird with a massive bronze hammer, connecting full-force with its beak and launching it back to bounce off the ground a time or two. Viktor having lost his balance, he found himself sitting on the ground with wide-eyed confusion as he faced a very proud-looking pink creature with a massive bronze hammer, grinning brightly.]

Ah-...th-thank you?

[ii; contest hall]

[Viktor and his new friend turned up to the contest hall, the Tinkaton equipped with only the best safety gear carefully sized for her and happily hefting the colossal brass hammer over her shoulder. Careful to keep pace with Viktor as they wandered around, she occasionally glanced up with a bright smile that clearly said 'so who do I need to kill for you next'?]

[...She certainly got attached very quickly.]

[iii; wildcard]

[whatever else]

Hm?

[Viktor looked up in slight confusion, adjusting his cane as he paused upon being addressed.]

No, why would we have been? [CLONK went the hammer as it was set down, the Tinkaton happily adjusting her goggles. You want this guy handled, boss? No? Not yet? Okay.]
