Fortress of Meropide Mingle
The spooky season has officially begun in Kaisou. With the annual thinning of the barrier, a lot of residents of the fortress are choosing to spend more time in the fortress- away from the prying eyes of the normal civilians who are noticing the paranormal for what they are. Fortunately, it's pretty comfortable down in the fortress with October's mild temperatures. Though with winter coming, it'd be good idea to make sure you got plenty of things to keep you warm.
Throughout the fortress, various people have put up Halloween and autumn decorations to liven the place up. There are occasional signs on the bullentin boards reminding folks that Christmas decorations are not allowed in public spaces until November 1st. This is Halloween's time after all.
So come to the fortress and mingle!

More or less. Some of the mannerisms are correct, but a bit exaggerated and stereotypical.
As awkward as it would be, an interview with a wolfman could've solved much of this.

I am still finding myself explaining that I do not transform under the full moon like a werewolf.

[ Varian not everything needs a scientific explanation, it's ok. That pulls a laugh out of him.]
Heck, I am a werewolf, and I can transform whenever I want. I mean, sure I can't control it when it happens on a full moon, but it's not limited to a full moon, y'know?

I cannot blame them too much--some only hear of werewolves in legend, and wolfmen tend to keep to themselves. It's why you don't see much of them in the Americas. They're more common in Europe, particularly in France and Germany.
[Maybe Spain, too.]
I am German, myself, raised in the French countryside.

Oh, and this information brightens Varian considerably. ]
Me too! I mean... from Germany, I mean, not being raised in France. Corona is... well, it's pretty much Germany before it became Germany. And yeah, we had... well, our werewolf legend was a little different from the norm. It was a dark spirit that seek out someone who was deeply repressing angry emotions and cause them to transform.
[ His smile turns a little fond. A little sad. ]
My friend carried it. She's just a little kid. A hunter tried to kill her, but everyone managed to stop her in time. Now my friend lives at peace with the wolf spirit inside her. She's... really brave.

I see the werewolf legends are strong in your homeworld's as they are here. Though the legend in yours is quite interesting. It sounds more like a possession than a curse.
[He pauses, his ears flicking as Varian mentions his friend. A child possessed by such a spirit? What turmoil did that child go through before the spirit came to her? Lycaon isn't from that world, but he'll be concerned by proxy.]</small. I'm glad she is living at peace with the spirit, but did she tame it? Or did it simply get confined?
no subject
That's pretty much how it works in my world, yeah. Something that takes hold of someone when it wasn't there before. And it doesn't leave until they... well, die.
[Catalina went through way more than someone her age should have. It left her open to the wolf curse and she welcomed it with open arms.]
I guess "tamed" is close to it, but not quite. She learned to live in peace with it. To use the strength and shape of the wolf when she needed to. In turn, it... I guess it gave her an outlet to be able to feel her feelings more openly. They were working in perfect tandem with each other, when I left Corona.
